OCC: Last night of the CAP National convention being held in Beaufort the capital city of the State of Carteret in the Franklin Arena.
The crowd was just beging to settle down after Vice-Presidental candidate Ron Hayes speach. He is smiling and waving to the crowd "And now ladies and gentlemen it is my pleasuer to introduce to you the man who will be the first president of the United States of Tarsinia my personal friend Mr. Jeff Barton!" The crowd erupts as Barton walks through the curtins with his wife holding his hand and their children behind them. Barton walks to Hayes and shakes his hand and speaks to him briefly he then walks to the end of the stage and shakes the hands of some of the people in the front row. He then turns and kisses his wife as the crowd cheers and cameras flash he then walks to the podium and speaks as the crowd quiets down.
"Ladies and gentlemen this is truly a historic night in the history of you new nation" Cheers and applaues
"We are now on a course that so many lost their lives for and that course is a free and independant Tarsinia!" The crowd erupts into cheers
"I will never forget the one who serverd under my command and layed their lives down to them and their families I will not let you down!" The cheers and applause.
"It is good to see so many members of the Provisional Assembly here tonigt including Mr. David Barrett who's hard work has helped make this dream a reality" The crowd cheers Barrett as he stands and waves.
"In two weeks the people of this nation will be electing the leaders of our new government. I urge you to vote for the person you feel best represents your values and morals no matter what party the are from. Because they are all playing a part in what so many fought and died for." Cheers
"It is important that our new govenment be open and honest with the people that is why my administration will be an open book with no under handed deals and back room promises" Cheers and chants of "Barton 07"
I believe in a lower tax rate for everyone across the board because people should not have to worry about how much the government is taking from their paycheck" Cheers
I believe that the children of this country are some of the best and brightest in the world that is why I support more funding for our plubic and private schools. I also support more grant and scholarship funds for our collegs students because they will one day lead this nation not just in politics but in industry and education and we must give them every chance to suceed" Cheers and applause
"Many good people stand on opposite sides of the issues. Larry Stone and I have stood side by side on many battle fields, he is and always will be a very dear firend to me. But there are several key issues that we disagree on.
"When I anounced my candidacy for president I steped down from the National Forces because I felt that we need a president who was not tied to the military after all that is what we fought to be free from. General Stone has yet to do so" This brings boos from the crowd.
"The president must be able to work with all sides on some issues to get things acclompished. General Stone seems to want to play party politics" More Boos
"I will never betray my core principals" Cheers and chants
"I will make the hard choices and stick to them on matter if they seem popular or not because popular is not always right" louder cheers
"When I speak you will know my heart" The crowd erupts into cheers and chants.
"We will work to make our economy strong and our people prosper" Cheers
"We will work to make our county a world leader and not just a bit player"
"With your help and your votes Ron Hayes and I will go to Griceson city as your President and Vice-President!" Cheers and applause
"With God's guidance I shall lead" Cheers
"With God's help we shall have a new begining" More cheers and applause
"With God's will we shall suceed" The crowd erupts
"Thank you good night God bless you and God bless Tarsinia" The crowd cheers as he is joined on stage by his family and Ron Hayes and his daughter. He kisses his wife and hugs his children he then shakes hands with the front row again. He then shakes Ron Hayes hands as they raise their hands above their heads and smile and wave to the crowd as balloons fall from the ceiling and a band plays the National Anthem.
