OOC1: this post for the most part explains why the war starts...feel free to enter now if you wish...but you can also wait for a post that will open it up to the international stage a bit more.

IC:

It had been a decade since it started…ten years ago the Government had become dominated by the corrupt and supporting of the nations large land owners…the land owners that drilled for oil or grew vast crops of an almost unending variety of fruits, vegetables, and other needed materials.

With the Governments support laws where changed and before long the small land owners who made up much of the nation started to lose their lands to the banks and large land owners, forced of their land they would become homeless and thus became wanderers.

Before long there where hundreds of thousands of people like this, with no land and the few possessions they had left, as once they became homeless they would need to sell everything they could afford to in order to make the money they would need to move from place to place looking for work…work which was increasingly hard to find as thousands would arrive where work was needed, and so it would not last long, and with this the large land owners lowered the prices…for if someone worked for three credits then surely someone more desperate would work for two, and the wages would only get lower as more became homeless.

Not long into these times those who had homes became hostile to the homeless as they feared they could lose their jobs to them, feared rebellion against the land owners, or where tired of these people moving about asking for work. because of this hostility the homeless grew angry and their anger brought more fear to the rich and so they spent money on a stronger military and for the police to keep the homeless from sitting in one place to long to prevent them from getting organized against the Land Owners.

The only safe havens for the homeless where the few Government camps that where provided by the few uncorrupt government officials, but the camps numbers where few, and the Land Owners despised them and so they would pay to have Police try and get them shut down…and the lack of camps and the cruel actions of the police and rich added to the anger of the homeless who often had little more then enough money to buy food for the day and gas to make it to the next job, and the work was often long and tiring.

By the end of a decade several million people where displaced and homeless…and the anger that had been building erupted in many places and began to spread…before long most of the displaced where decided on fighting the land owners for their right to live and their right to a home…some destroyed crops while others obtained weapons by use of hand craft or by theft, and they took the government camps and fortified them as best they could and they attempted fortify the wondering camps and prepared for the inevitable attacks from the Government and Land Owners and Prepared to strike them…and so began the T.A.P. Civil War.

OOC2:
This is Open, just don’t send so much aid that it makes either sides forces somewhat pointless…it is also possible to RP problems such as getting supplies to the Homeless/Rebels.

I am also looking for someone who might be interested in RPing the homeless…for an information basis on them they are…unorganized, untrained, low on general supplies, and weapons though they are armed with a variety of weapons including Knifes, Rocks, Hand Crafted Clubs, sharpened sticks(like a spear basically), Hunting weapons such as Rifles…could be .30-06 or a .22 so long as it is non-military and used for hunting something, Bows…be it a Compound bow or hand crafted one, and non-military/police Shotguns. They also have a large lack of things such as Cell Phones…so communication between the unorganized forces would be a bit slow…the numbers are however spread out over most of the country with the government only controlling cities, military bases, and do a lot of defending lands controlled by the bid land owners.

for general numbers and such...

Government forces: Police and Army, total strength 70,000(50,000 Army)

Homeless/Rebel forces: Unorganized, untrained men and women, most between 14 and 50 years old, total strength(excludes the ones who cant fight and such) between 750,000 and 1,500,000

"There is a new development in a minor country." said on of the people in the palace.
The emperor replied, "What is it?"
"A large armed rebellion is taking place. I suggest that we send secret aid to the rebels so as to have a friendly nation if they should succeed in a revolution." The empor thought for a second and nodded.
[One of the government camps]
It was night, One of the stealth transports of the Firehelper Air force slowly approached the camp. Soon its bay doors opened and numerous stealth material coated boxes began to drop out. Many of these quickly came along with several soldiers. These solders were the elite of firehelper, the Firehelper equivalent of the Green Berets and organized resistance groups in countries of particular interest to the firehelper government. They fell down. The boxes landed in the camp alerting the people inside to the unknown presence. They rushed out to the landing site and surrounded the six men.
"We wish to help you" they said in perfect English.
The boxes also contained many weapons, MREs (ration packs...my equivalent), water, and some other objects like filtration systems and photovoltaic sheets.

[[Abronath]]
Several of the quick response groups constantly patrolling the oceans soon arrived in the city. The began to unload various tanks and infintry units to provide a safe zone to any refugees be they government or rebel.

"All right. You all read the dossiers?" The man was wearing camoflage, seemingly out of place in the office complex. He surveyed the room, all the men present were wearing civvies. "They tell me that you are all from the Zeta-group. They didn't tell me what they had you do at the valley, and frankly i am glad. You have been selected for this operation because of your aptitude and because of your previous operations records." He exhaled as he surveyed the room. All of them had the same determined blank stare, like faces of lost men made of marble. Damn intel guys. Give me the creeps. "This operation officially has an NOC designation, which means if you fuck up, you are on your own. And if you come back here, you'll either die in the labor camps or be executed on international television."

"You should know this already, but what you are going to do is enter the country and make contact with the incumbent powers. You are to then gather what support you can and proceed according to protocol. Your objectives are to capture or eliminate enemy officers, supporters and any other people who may be politically unreliable. Most importantly, you must not be discovered. This is why you have the dental fixtures that you do."

The men continued their glare.

"Right, if there are no more questions, then you are dismissed. Get ready, for we leave at 1800 hours."

Surveiliance had shown there to be few ships patrolling this region of the coast, which enabled a HALO jump to be performed with relative ease. The original twenty were now accompanied by ten members of the Siapian Special Forces known as the Epsilons.

For all present, the HALO jump and the following ride on SDVs to shore and the ensuing swim was no trouble, as they all had endured surf torture in their training.

Once upon shore, they quickly took off their dry suits revealing civilian outfits. All of the men carried at least one concealed pistol (A Community Type 2 .40 calibre, and the Epsilons carried Steyr AUG AG3 in briefcases. Without talking, the men split up and began surveying the countryside, noting the people they encountered and the tactics used by any forces seen skirmishing.

when the forces of Firehelper arrived in Abronath the response from the “Loyalists” was anger. The idea of just letting a military force of another nation into a TAP city was not very welcome, nor was the fact that it would become a safe zone for the rebels. But for the moment the Government saw no way to prevent this as they did not have the forces to spare, and so the Government told the people to remain calm and that when the rebels where defeated elsewhere they could then move into the area and make the foreigners(or as the people from TAP called them “foreigns”) leave and finish the rebels that had formerly thought themselves safe…

----------------------------

the Police and Air Force where the first to make an offensive response against the rebels…

500 SWAT Police armed with M4 Super 90 shotguns or P90s loaded up into 50 Police owned Humvees(Police Humvees being unarmed while Military have a .50cal Machine Gun.) and proceeded to head for the nearest government camp…they didn’t know how many they would find, but the hope was that they would kill enough to break moral and or force/scare the people out of the camp.

as for the Air Forces response, they prepped all ten Jaguar ground attack aircraft with their full loads of ordiance…they where sent out in pairs of two without escorts(no enemy aircraft expected) with the mission being to seak out rebel camps and indescriminently drop their individual loads of 10,000lb of bombs into the camps and when that was finished, proceed to straife the camps with their duel 30mm cannons before returning to base and setting up for another run.

the Navy had hardly any ability to respond effectivly, they where only a few patrol craft, but they kept busy do as best they could to watch for incoming transports that might intend to aid the rebels.

and the army was taking its time setting up forward bases in small towns and carfuly splitting up the 50 precious T-54 Tanks into small units

"Gunships!!!" came the cry. Numerous people began panicing and some even tried to shoot the planes down futilely with small arms. One of the firehelper special forces opened a crate and took out a 9K38 Igla anti air missile. There were people all round him so he explained quickly.
"take one, release the safety, aim, and fire." Very quickly a rag-tag team of vouninters took aim at the two gunships that were starting their attack run. "Fire!" came the call. soon ten missiles streamed out of the barrels and at the front of it was a heat seeking missile. They rushed quickly to the very close aircraft that would likely never doge the incoming missiles or even get a message out at the ETA of the missiles when the speed of the aircraft and missile were combined and the distance divided by it.

One of the Pilots hadn’t noticed the missiles headed his way until it was to late…however shortly before missile impact he had managed to fire off a few Rockets…the other pilot had noticed the missiles very early and had dumped his load hoping they might still do some damage and immediately ejected his plane…and then the plane was hit…shrapnel cut though one of his legs but for the most part he ended up landing safely…now however he was very close to the rebel camp armed with little more then a pistol…

One of the commander's assistants stepped up to the commander and whispered in his ear. The commander than talked to the rebel leader.
"There is a report from my soldiers saying that two gunships have attempted to attack the camp. There is minimal damage from several unaimmed missiles and bombs. There was also a downed pilot but his fate is unknown. We suggest that you quickly arm all combat capable men and possible women to mount a defense in retaliation. you should also move to a more secure area than this open camp.

[[camp]]
Meanwhile the firehelper government has decided to do daily drops. With the report of the attack they decided the next shipment was due. The stealthed cargo plane moved from over the ocean. It soared above the numerous clouds as it stayed purposely over cloudy areas to avoid detection. Soon it once again arrived at the camp. This time it dropped more weapons and food. However it also dropped several prefabricated SAMs. These sams could reach a fairly high altitude and would provide protection against bombers.

[[City]]
There were many rebels streaming into the city after the attack. Many were injured and required medical attention. Soldiers and medics immediately rushed out to them, confiscated weapons, and brought them all to a triage. Those that were uninjured were moved to a well defended tent city on the outskirts of the city. Soldiers also continuously patrolled the city to make sure that no harm would come to the inhabitants or the rebels.

Troop deployments would be placed in towns along fairly easy to defend roads(for supply reasons)…most set in the south and central west regions as they are the “most important” but with 15,000 Police and Soldiers spread out in the East and North West(I have no maps…)

------

The Pilot had been caught off guard as he was tending his injured leg …while being taken back he spoke in a disgusted tone as to the quality of the “troops” who took him prisoner, but also spoke of his surprise that they could obtain and use SAM missiles effectively…

Knowing that something bad must have had happened when two aircraft did not return the Army and Police assembled a force to check the area, 1,000 Soldiers (most armed with an AK-47 or Cetme Rifle) 4 T-54 Tanks, 200 Police (armed with P90s and at this time all Police are being equipped with SWAT gear). The Soldiers and Police where transported with Military type Humvees to the location of the camp where the aircraft had gone down…and when they got their, they demanded the release of the Pilot…

In the city the Loyalists where growing tired of these rebels, so many where coming… ‘If they don’t leave soon, I’m going to kick them out’ was a general statement and feeling.

From: Pudite Military Arms, Surplus Distribution Division

Our government has been monitoring an increasingly volatile situation in your own country, as of late. Most recently, our surveillance systems have observed as a number of your attack aircraft were annihilated in an attack on a supposedly defenseless anarchist base.

Now, unless you distribute to your dissidents anti-aircraft missies, it seems obvious that foreign powers have intervened. The extent of such intervention cannot be known, but their purpose is apparent. What we can offer you is the same.

Our intelligence shows us that you are fielding obsolete equipment in small numbers. Our division of the Imperial Army is devoted to the production and sale of standard-pattern equipment for sale to developing militaries, and it seems that your government would qualify.

Our prices are relatively low, and we may even be willing to loan to you a significant force of your choosing from our catalogue, for a minimum down payment. We would help you maintain a constant strength, and replace all that was lost, should you request it.

Our field observers would accompany this equipment, to ensure that all damages and losses are legitimately gotten.

We hope you will consider our offer,

Good day,
Mr. White.

Meanwhile, deep inside the troubled nation, Obekan Kurov sat down to his evening meal. An annoyed-sounding news broadcaster was reading off the names of the two missing pilots and other related news of the engagements, but he was ignoring them.

He had lived here for a few years now, but he had never considered himself a resident. He had always known himself to be just what he was; A Frumentarii agent of the Imperial Pudite Government. For the last six years he had been infiltrating this society, the lone agent to monitor the whole civilization. They were becoming more and more widespread as the influence of the Dominion grew, and so it was no surprise that even such a young nation may have a presence.

Outwardly, he looked no different than any man may look. He was obviously of central-Asian descent, but otherwise, a simple man. He owned a small portion of land, and was living as much off his pittance of a paycheck, as from covert funding by the Dominion herself.

He knew of the troubles, but thought that, with the state of the Dominion as it was; that is, at war, many times over, that it would be of no import. He was proved wrong only minutes later, as his phone rang…

“Hello?” He queried. Although he was not anti-social, he had few friends here, and none who called him at his home,

“FA-000-045-000-445?” Although Obekan knew nobody could see him, he straightened at the voice nonetheless,

“Yes.” Was his only response,

“You are being awakened, we require your services again.”

“Yes sir, I assume it regards the situation?”

“Yes, it does indeed. I have been ordered to inform you to our stance in this matter,”

Obekan waited, and the man continued, “The Emperor does not consider this worth involving any Imperial lives, although he can indeed see a profit in it outside of the territory. Even as we speak the Imperial Army is entering into negotiations to arm and equip the government troops with more advanced weapons and vehicles.”

“I understand,”

“And because of their assumed depressed financial state,”

“Yes,” agreed Obekan,

“These are likely to be loaned. In that case, we are providing a service of observers to accompany these vehicles. You shall be responsible for coordinating them.”

“I understand,”

“I’m not sure you do… These will not be Frumentarii agents or Imperial officers,”

“Oh?”

“Yes, I am afraid it has been decided to deploy the 42nd Division in this case…"

There was a silence, and so the man continued, “We here are not overjoyed by the proposition either, we assure you. They would be arriving in two days, via commercial airliner. They will be unarmed, but as you know, this will slow them little…”

Obekan simply replied, “Yes sir…”

The call was terminated. In two days he would be face-to-face with some of the deadliest men in the Dominion, who were not actually citizens of the Dominion…

For decades the survivors of the exemplary 42nd Light Infantry Division have been living outside the compounds of the citizens, in the unbroken wilderness, competing with other hostile rebels and nature herself to survive. There are now only a few thousand of them left, but they were among the most deadly infantry in the world. Not always willing to serve, but ever able, they are the antithesis of the otherwise ordered and stable Pudite Dominion. Naturally, they were greeted with some enmity.

Although few in the Dominion even knew of the conflict, this little war would be an important testing ground for the newest generation of 42nd Division crop, before they were expected to be used in the real war on other Dominion fronts…

It had begun…

On the outer rim were mines, barbed wire, and remote C4. Several machine gun nests were also set up. The people manning it had basic training. (how to clear a jam, aim, shoot, clean, and reload) The perimeter also had numerous hidden people with javelins and AT4s. Also many of the people inside were now equipped with a weapon. Many had 12 gauge shotguns and M-16s but there were also those that had a hunting background with snipers. the commanders of the Governments Army outside the rebel camp had now been informed of the possibility of foreign involvement and that they could have far more advanced weapons then what was anticipated to be no better then hunting Rifles…and the place had a much more military look then could be done by what was viewed as…and in many ways cases close to the truth…a near mindless rabble of angry beggars…the Soldiers and Police quickly set up forces around the gates of the camps…but kept their distance…the four tanks set up so that they could blow down the gates first, but prepared to fire on what where identified as Machine gun nests. Ten Snipers armed with PSG-1 rifles (my nation has a total of 500 Snipers, and the PSG-1 is probably my most advanced army issued weapon) where also spread out and became sources of observation against the Rebels…not knowing the strength of their enemies now, the commanders called for reinforcements…until then they would maintain a standoff…

elsewhere Government forces where told to move against the Rebel camps(some former Government, some like Hoovervilles) the composition of what was much the same as the forces sent against the camp where the Jaguars had been destroyed(though most lack tanks)

Subject: Military Assistance

Greetings from the Holy Empire of Tolvarus,

We have recently heard of your plight, and the Most Holy Emperor is very displeased with the treatment you have received at the hands of the present government. If you can secure a safe landing location for our transport ships, we can have up to 10,000 Imperial troops on the way within a day, as well as several ships armed with long range cruise missiles (OOC: I don't know how big TAP is or if any strategic locations are within 300km of the coast, but if there is anything, it would be within my missile range). In addition, we can almost immediately dispatch air transports if you need assistance faster. All that we ask in return for this is a favorable relationship with your people, and possible trade relationships in the future. Please respond with the number of troops you will need and if you will need an advance force flown in earlier.

One last piece of information though. We are coming to protect the rights of those the government has oppressed, not to attack the government of TAP itself. We will be happy to participate in the defense of your camps and bases, but if you later choose to go on the offensive, you will be on your own, although we would still be willing to lend you supplies or the use of combat instructors if you need. I caution you to keep this message to yourself, as it is only a last resort in case negotiation fails.

Lord Commander Christopher Tolvar

Official Communication of the Holy Empire of Tolvarus to the Government of T.A.P

The Most Holy Emperor is most displeased by your ill-treatment of your citizens. He believes, however, that war is unnecessary in this case. Instead, the Holy Empire suggests that you give freedom to the lands that these rebels hold. If this would be too great of a loss for you, perhaps you can negotiate with these people, and come to some peaceful solution. We offer the use of the Diplomatic Sector of Tolvar if you so require a neutral location. We must state, however, that if the current situation does not change, we might have to use less peaceful methods to assure the rights of these people are upheld.

OOC: Donaghadee, your Base is both a Base and Secret(though to be built by who it is its probably not to great…). I am attacking Camps…

Tolvarus, the People's Liberation Army I shall say yes(and its being RPed anyway…). Though in general most of the masses don’t even have the ability to contact each other outside of driving and either talking or handing written messages…

One of my early posts states that the country is about the same size and shape as half of California…unless for some reason the post doesn’t exist anymore…but anyway…that means a 300km range missile could hit most of the Government locations or just about any area aside from the far east.

the treatment of our citizens is our concern not his…and so war is certainly unnecessary and it is to much of a loss, it is the majority of our country excluding that which our military and Police forces and defend, and the cities that continue to remain loyal to our government. We may negotiate but do not anticipate much success, and there will be no stop in hostilities to the rebels save the ones present for negotiations, we may negotiate in a mutually agreed upon location which will be designated a no combat zone.

((yea... I guess I wil be joint RPing the rebels when golf isn't ehre))
The camp was under attack. Numerous explosions occurred as shells ripped through the hastily made machine gun nests. Soon an order rang out.
"Fire at will!" and the rebels did just that.
The anti-tank soldiers hidden behind equipment and the walls stood up and shoot their RPG-29 tandem HEAT shell. This shell was capable of penetrating the very advanced British Dorchester armor. It should have relatively few problems against these older tanks. ((you know.... T-54s are old)) Soon mortar rounds began exploding as the newly trained gunners used a provided ballistic charts to make crude and fairly accurate guesses with a laser range finder.
Any surviving machine gun nests began firing at the mases of troops outside the camp. Several people also remotely detonated the C4 once the enemy troops passed them without destroying them. Mines also blew people's legs off at times due to the fact that there was enough dirt of top that a normal caliber bullet would not detonate the mine, however a man stepping on it would.
Snipers were fireing off rounds quickly and carefully as possible. Their was was a war between sharpshooters as the fewer but more heavily trained army wet against the slightly less accurate, more numerous, and better equipped rebels. (they are supplies with modern russian, american, and otherwise NATO weapons)

....Other camps....(please wait for golf to approve this part)
The camps that wren't under attack were evacuating to the mountains. There they would carry out their resistance and attempt to win the war. (think... Osama) Almost all the capible men in these convoys were heavily armed and they would be a hard target to hit with their anti air weapons.

[secret base] (please wait for golf to approve this part)
Several helicopter came. It was a stealthy kind that was quiet and had the radar signature of a ball bearing. They soon took off with the major equipment, maps, and personnel of the base. Soon after the base exploded. They were being carried to the new base that was being constructed with help from the firehelper Government. The new base would be a state of the art bunker that would be hidden deep within a mountain cave system. It would be here that they would continue the war.

It appears as if your government has ignored our warnings and suggestions to leave you alone. As your group is a large percent of the population, and the government and army represent a very small portion, we feel justified in aiding you in your revolution. We are sending in a small airfleet with troops and armored personnel transports, it should arrive within 24 hours. However, seeing as T.A.P. has purchased a considerable amount of aircraft, we will be landing near the southern border of the country and going by land from there as we do not wish to risk much aerial combat. As my Cataphract transports are capable of beachside landing, we do not require an actual port, but if some of your troops could rendezvous with the ones we are airlifting in, they should be able to provide cover for the bulk of our Imperial troops as they are unloading. We can develop our plans more once our troops arrive.

Within two hours of sending the message to the People's Liberation Army, 30 adapted IL-96-M Transport Planes as well as 45 MIG 21's were in the air, on the way to T.A.P. Contained in these aircraft were a total of 1,000 infantry armed with AK-108 assault rifles with GP-25 grenade launchers, 60 Ural 4320 Infantry Transports, and General William Black.

The next morning, a small transport fleet consisting of 10 Cataphract Class Transport Landing Ships, 10 Lion Class Destroyers, 2 Assassin Class nuclear submarines, and 2 Paladin Class Cruisers were crewed and dispatched for T.A.P. They contained over 10,000 Imperial troops and their transports, and were under the command of Tolvarus's finest general, George Javar.

If you need anything more specific, just TG me and I'll get back to you something tomorrow, but I'll be gone until the afternoon and its late now.

2. What is your intention for this RP, T.A.P? Do you want the rebels to succeed, or is your government going to take control again, or is it going to be some kind of compromise/combination of the two? I'd like to know before I get too involved in this. You seem to be doing pretty well for someone who just started though, keep it up.

though i did get this idea that might make things a bit more interesting...is the Government enters talks...the big land owners get pissed and break off(taking with them command of the majority of the Police force) the Governments first attempts in the talks break down due to the land owners(trying to get the Land owners back on the Governments side, rather then a total new faction) but the Land owners will have nothing to do with the Gov now...and a three way war starts up...after some of this the Rebels and Gov talk again, and make some agreements, then finish off the Land Owners

The 7th Fleet, Jagada's constantly active rapid response fleet, had already been sailing towards TAP for nearly five straight days now. It always had a contingent of troops aboard various ships in the fleet -- numbering around the size a brigade (13,000). The Jagite High Command had already authorized the use of lethal force to secure their objective -- a port city in T.A.P. Even though once the port was procured the Jagites would use it for a totally different purpose ... establishing a safe zone for refugees and consolidation of Jagite ground forces for possible intervention in the TAP civil war.

It would only be a few more short days until the Jagites arrived, and with them the Might of Divinidom ...

When the convoy reached the ambush a bomb on the road went off destroying the lead Humvee. A second later the Militia open up on the 2nd Humvee as the soldiers jumped out, the machine gun opens up killing a Militiaman but the gunner is soon shot down by a sharpshooter and soon the 5 soldiers were dead and the truck was captured. Another unique characteristic of the PSG-1 is, after firing, the bullet casing is ejected with substantial force, reportedly enough to throw it approximately 10 metres sideways. While this is generally not an issue for law enforcement snipers, it greatly compromises the military use of the rifle, because it would easily give away the sniper's position. The brass is also difficult to find for clearing the area of usage marks afterwards.

Your rifle is more accurate by.5 meters or so but With snipers (or hinters.... but we also have my soldiers) on both sides looking for signs of sniper fire that brass is relatively easy to find...))

IC:

The IL-96-M's touched down about 10 hours after their departure from Onoth. Within 30 minutes, General Black had unloaded his supplies and transports from the planes, and the last of the Imperial troops were getting on the trucks.

Black had received a transmission from Tolvarus an hour before landing, that the People's Liberation Army had requested assistance at one of their camps under attack. His original plan had been to wait for Javar and the fleet to arrive, but seeing as it would be almost a week before they were within striking distance, it appeared as if he didn't have that luxury. He would have to take matters into his own hands.

As he stepped into the cab of the lead truck, Black nodded to the driver. "It seems that there's been a slight change of plans. We're not going to be waiting for the Tolvarus fleet, the Liberation Army needs our help ASAP. Here's our destination." William Black placed a small sheet of paper with teh camp's location on the dashboard.

"Yes, Sir!" the driver responded. Immediately he radioed the other transport drivers and within a few minutes they were off to the People's Liberation Army's aid. As soon as the transports were on their way, the IL-96-M's and half of the MIG-21's took off on their way back to Tolvarus. The other half of the MIG's would remain to provide some basic air-support for the Tolvarus troops if necessary.

Inside the transport, Black was not happy. He hoped that the situation wasn't too bad for this camp they were heading towards, because 1,000 men, even of the Elite Imperial troops wouldn't make much difference if they were outnumbered too badly. Black expected that his aid to the camp would be more in line with helping them hold off until they could evacuate or move to a safer location, and if that were the case this could prove to be useful. Smiling slightly, the general thought of the 5,000 extra AK-108's in the transports. With a few days of his sergeants' instructions, and some of those guns, these rebels could be a decent force, especially if they had more numbers.

General Black and his 1,000 Imperial troops are on their way to your camp this very moment. They are also transporting weapons, munitions, and other supplies to your camp. In addition to this force, 20 MIG-21's are in the vicinity, and will be able to help in case of an aerial assault, although we hope that your AA guns will be adequate to defend against the government's planes as our 20 MIG's will be severely outnumbered, and in some cases outgunned.

As before, the Tolvarus fleet is on its way, and you may expect them in 6-8 days.

The soldier at the camp walked around the base. He stopped at a new box being opened.
"What's in here?" he asked. The rebel just shrugged and looked inside. The box was identical to all the other boxes, except for the fact that these had Javelins inside. These were one of the dealiest anti-tank weapons and would be a great asset to the rebellion.... If they could win this. There were also two other boxes being opened, the last dropped by the plane. These contained body armor. The soldier immediately called for people to carry these to the front and distribute them.
Soon after many soldiers were reequipped during the lull. the ones with shotguns now carried M4 carbines with scopes. Several were also designated marksman to support the rebels with accurate cover fire. The soldiers with RPG-29s now were armed with fragmentation rounds. Machine gun nests were also being rebuilt as the spare machine guns were being called up. These rebels would all intend to go down fighting.

((OOC: most of these weapons are point and shoot or hunting weapons. The weapons you are getting are new, tanks would require training time and as they are new your soldier's wouldn't have it. The guns are less of a problem as they all run on the same basic function but the soldiers speed may be reduced by the new gun until they got used to it... which is a fairly short amount of time.))

General Black's troops will be attempting a surprise attack soon after nightfall. They will not be able to engage the enemy long, but it should give your people in the camp time to escape. The Imperial soldiers will then fall back to their transports with air cover from the MIG's. If this succeeds, the T.A.P. soldiers will still probably pursue them with much greater numbers as the Tolvarus troops head towards your zone in the south. This gives us the chance to set up an ambush if you can get soldiers from the People's Liberation Army there fast enough. The attack against the T.A.P. government forces came swiftly as the Tolvarus Imperial troops suddenly seemed to appear from no where, wearing their black uniforms, helmets and body armor. Rounds of fire from the AK-108's and multiple Gvozd grenades containing CS gas crashed into the T.A.P. government's camp. About 50 of the Imperial troops were also armed with RPG-29's in case of attack from armored divisions, but for now they too used their assault rifles. For the moment at least, it seemed as if the enemy had been caught off guard, as only a few sentries had been ready to resist them as the initial attack fell. Suddenly, General Black realized that it was possible the T.A.P. government didn't even know any Tolvarus troops had been in the area until now. Within a few minutes, the MIG-21's arrived to cover the retreat, flying away towards the People's Liberation Army Zone as soon as the Tolvarus troops had a good start. Overall he thought the attack had went fairly well. Tolvarus had only lost about 40 soldiers; unfortunately, the darkness and confusion had made counting enemy casualties impossible. Also, since the CS gas is not actually lethal in most cases, even the enemies effected by it couldn't be counted as real casualties. The Imperial troops reached their transport trucks and were off immediately. Their primary objective for the attack had been accomplished, now all that remained was to see if the enemy would pursue them into the ambush.

OOC: what is with this Underground Air Base?, I suppose you could call it a base…but the best the rebels have for an underground base would be a cave with them living in it…unless I missed something and you are talking about your nation and underground bases(why that has relevance I wouldn’t know) or your saying that you can go “poof” and make Underground Air Bases…

Also, the camp most likely wouldn’t get info that they can “bug out” unless the forces of Firehelper mention they got a communication…I don’t remember reading anything about that (this however is a minor detail that can be fixed all to easily)

--

Despite the fact that the forces of Tolvarus had surprised the T.A.P. forces and would have pursued them it was soon discovered that the camp was emptied and so they split their force, 500 would pursue the fleeing rebels and drive them into the mountains where they could be contained…and 1,000 would stay put and take care of the wounded, find out who was dead, and prepare to pursue the attackers when they felt it was suitable…they did not know who they where or how strong they where and planes where heard overhead…

There was also a response to the message given off by so called General Jameson…several advanced scout groups where sent to locate him and whatever forces he had with him…

--

after being informed of the attack on the Government forces, Tolvarus was largely suspected to be involved with the attack on the Government forces blocking the camp due to the fact that they had not returned a message agreeing to the TAPs setup for negotiating (they did say they would…they just wouldn’t cancel military operations and would not surrender land for the rebels to have(cant remember what you said, but they took it as you telling them to make a new nation) and had stated that they may get further into the conflict…and so the TAP Government resent their stated needs for negotiation…this time stating that they would stop attacks, if all weapons supplied to the Rebels where surrendered, and that Government forces would meet at a place of Rebel selection so long as it was in TAP

Stopping the first person he saw, Black asked, "Do you know where I might find Comm- I mean, General Jameson? I am looking forward to meeting him, and have some important things to discuss with him."

(Siap)

“certainly.” Answered the commissioner, who then called for a prisoner to be brought to his office…

Without hesitating, Bernhard threw the prisoner into a chair and the other men held his arms down and one tapped at his arm causing a small vein to rise. Bernhard produced a small syringe with a clear fluid in it. The substance was an opioid, specifically a derivative of heroin, specially isolated for its addictive properties. After Bernhard injected the substance, he waited a few minutes. "Would you like to tell us where we can find your commanders?" The rush would soon subside and the cravings would soon set in.

General Jameson walks up to General Black and shakes his hand.
"Welcome to my makshift HQ, the main one is a way of yet. I have 350 men lining the ridges above the valley, may I request some of your men join my men and the rest guard the main route."

OOC: Sorry, I've been busy this weekend...

Pudite Prefecture One, Commercial Compound Zero-Three-Eight-Eight, The Departure
The massive white ships slid quietly over the calm waters of the massive protected port, the coastal compliment of the three-hundredth and eighty-eighth Commercial Compound of the Dominion. It was these compounds that were devoted to the cause of the Surplus Distribution Division, and this one had an order to deliver.

The huge roll-on, roll-off freighter followed in the wake of four smaller ships, also stark white. These were a coastal defense squadron, and would escort this ship the twenty protected miles out of the port. After that, it would be joined by a half-dozen similarly small ships, but these would not be as easily recognizable.

Over the years, as befitted the independent nature of the 42nd Division, they have felt the need to expand their capabilities. High on this list was the desire to be able to deploy independent of Imperial rulings, and so it was that they struck upon the decommissioned older fleet of Imperial vessels held by the separatist rebels, and seized their own navy.

Similar expeditions had equipped them, over the years, with a sizable force; headlined by a flagship, the Kuznetsov-class aircraft carrier Irrepressible. It would be deployed overseas for the first time here, escorted by five smaller Sovremenny-class destroyers. These were, by Pudite standards, equipped with obsolete computers and weapons, but they would work for this operation...

On board these ships, in addition to the few hundred 42nd Division personnel acting as a crew, were twenty further men and women equipped as warriors, to go ashore and serve the purpose of the Emperor...

The ships were bound to arrive, with the order of the T.A.P government, as well as the cargo of the Imperial government, in roughly a week's time.

"Of course, 400 men will be sent to the ridges of the valley, and the remainder will remain on the ground. However, I have received some interesting news from the Lord Commander's office. It appears as if your government has agreed to stop all attacks, and is willing to hold a meeting with you anywhere in the country, at a place of your choosing. In return they want the surrender of all the weapons your allies have supplied you so far. The Lord Commander has ordered me to allow you to make the decision as this mostly effects you and your people."

After a moment's pause, Black continued, "However, there are two things you should know regardless. Firstly, I have a considerable amount of guns with my transports, and as technically I haven't given them to you yet, there is no need to surrender them to the government as they know nothing about them Secondly, the Tolvarus fleet will continue on its way here, so that if we find the terms unacceptable, another 10,000 troops will already be within reasonable distance. This way, no matter what the results of the talks, you will have weapons and reinforcements, and it has the potential to be even more profitable."

"Contact them telling then that I will meet them at a neutral country, but wait till we have finished killing this column

Black nodded in agreement. "Of course, but if the enemy troops do not come soon it might be better to go back to your main base, in case they realize our plans to ambush them and set a trap for us in return."

((OOC: The bunker would be a large cave that has been converted to a command center. The airbase could be another close by calve that has been cleared with dynamite, provided with a catipault and covered with concrete.... plausible and not impossible. just say that I dropped more men in and used help from the refugee rebels to construct it.... though technically you could wait for the fighters until perhaps a week or two after this...))

OOC: Sorry, I assumed they had some sort of communication since they used it to ask me for help in the first place.

OOC: looking back at an OOC post its stated that Jameson has it, but that most camps dont have anything like that

Back at th camp that was under attack

In one of the lulls in the fighting the camp commander requests a meeting to discuss terms

Message to Tolvarus

Sir could I please request your help in defending the Camp that is under attack

End Message

OOC: This is what I based it off of, but I see that could have just been Jameson contacting me about the camp, but that would mean they at least have some kind of communication with him. It might not have been perfect, but considering that I never actually contacted the camp itself I think it turned out all right since I'm not sure their escape was very successful from a later post.

"Very well. Unfortunately, I do not have enough room in my trucks for your men, so we'll have to move slowly so no one gets left behind. I'll contact my planes once we arrive so that they can meet us there."

After about 15 minutes of organizing and loading as many people as possible into the transports, the combined Tolvarus and People's Liberation Army forces were on their way to a safer location.

OOC:

1. Whose side are you on?

2. Aren't you already involved in at least two other wars against countries larger than yourself? Three wars at once would be alot, which is part of the reason I stayed out of the Colombian conflict in the first place.

3. Either way, a bit more information would be nice, like where your troops are, how they got there, and how many of them are there.
