"If you can make a watch, you can make a bomb."

That's the philosophy behind our Special Equipment Division. We had hoped to make a market open for watches, but with everyone buying stuff that explodes, we'd figure that we'd do the same to catch into the market. We ask that you review all of the equipment impartially and not to laugh, as these items do have practical use. If you have any wishes, desires, and equipment that isn't found here, we can make special orders as always.

Exploding Timekeepers

- as always, our watches operate on quartz, are resistant to water up to 200m, and are covered by our 5-year warranty, unless they explode of course.

Exploding Bernard
A mimic of the Bernard watch, this watch has enough explosive to blow off a person's hand. But how do you tell this watch apart from our regular Bernard watches? Simply, the bezel has a message that when read under UV light indicates that "this watch explodes - do not set alarm at 6 o'clock". To activate explosive, set alarm to 6 o'clock and wait until second hand reaches the 12 o'clock.

- fuse time
:: maximum = 59 seconds
:: minimum = 1 second
- explosive yield
:: not yet determinable
- steel body [Bernard is made of titanium]
- oyster-lock titanium bracelet with safety clasp
- date at the three o'clock
- white or black enamel dial with Arabic numerals
- available with switch-lock 2cm blade

Exploding Helvetii
A mimic of the Helvetii watch, this watch has enough explosive to blow off a person's hand. But how do you tell this watch apart from our regular Helvetii watches? Simply, the bezel has a message that when read under UV light indicates that "this watch explodes - do not operate timer". To activate explosive, set timer and let run until time runs out.

- fuse time
:: digitally wired to explode at timer function
:: maximum = 24 hours
:: minimum = 1 seconds
- explosive yield
:: not yet determinable
- steel
- leather straps
- digital display
:: world time
:: 4 alarms
:: timer [explosive]
:: stopwatch w/ 5-second countdown

Exploding Soda Can
The ubiquitous soda can can be found everywhere! Why not have an exploding can at the same time [no, not the shake-and-open variety; the ones that go "BOUM"]. With our watch0making skills, we have crafted the Exploding Soda Can with every intention of giving your victims a blast. Cans are mimics of whatever product you desire. But how do you tell them apart? Our cans add the word "explosive" to the list of ingredients, which means your victim had better not have a habit of reading labels. To activate, have your victim open the can; the cans explodes immediately.

- available in 6 oz.; 500 ml; and 12oz. sizes

Exploding Headset

Our spies have informed us that it's rather nasty when other spies tap into your radio networks, especially when using your own equipment. So why not give them a nasty surprise when they plug it in? This headset is generic for most international varieties of radio sets and it comes with adapters for those that don't fit. They work perfectly for about 30 seconds, before the fuse inside the headset - triggered to blow when plugged into a radio set - explodes and leaves the informant headless. But how do you distinguish this from your regular headsets? The warning label reads on the inside of the left ear terminal: "N'utilisez cette pièce si vous voulez gardez votre tête." Of course, we recommend this for use as a gift to your favorite enemies.

Exploding Radio

If the Exploding Headset doesn't deter your enemies' spies, then an exploding radio will certainly end their espionage. This radio set is tailored to fit the requirements of any countries' specified requirements. The warning description reads aptly: "Si vous aimez les femmes, gardez contre les hommes" - which of course has nothing to do with the explosive properties of the radio, but your enemies won't know that. The fuse is designed to explode 30 seconds after receiving a terminal from any headset, with an explosive potential enough to inflict pain upon anyone within 5 meters. Of course, this set operates perfectly for the 30 seconds while in use. We strongly recommend using the Exploding Headset with this equipment for optimum potential.

Exploding Suitcase

A classic has returned to us! This suitcase will explode in many different methods, so we caution you to use it carefully. If it is opened, it will explode; if it is dropped from a two story building, it will explode; if it is rattled violently, it will explode; if it is shot with a 9mm weapon, it will explode; if it is run through an x-ray screen, it will explode; if the outside pressure decreases below .5 atmospheres or increases above 2 atmospheres, it will explode. Basically, if you want to get this item, be prepared to have it explode randomly. As it so happens, this article requires no warning.

Exploding Grenade

This is a perhaps misnomer, but we felt it was necessary to distinguish it from regular grenades. Unlike the dandy varieties that have a 4 second fuse, we have crafted a grenade that explodes as soon as the pin is removed. The warning label on this equipment reads as follows: "DO NOT PULL PIN." Also in progress - the Exploding Pin, where you throw the pin and drop the grenade!

Subject: Special Order Request

Mr. Gustavesson,

I write this evening to inquire upon the ability of L'Horlogerie Genevoise to fulfill a special order to equip the entire military of the Allied States of Sometra and Prisara. The SaPCom Procurement Division has been searching for an amount of time for a watch maker willing to fulfill an order of 200,000 custom units with which to equip our armed forces.

The watch in question should have the following capabilities:

Water Resistant
Accurate to a high precision
Durable and operable in any environment
Affordable
Should feature a silent alarm, preferably light electric shock, in order to encourage punctuality.

If the above capabilities are possible, we are willing to go to great expense in order to acquire these watches. I thank you for your time.

[signed]
Major General Kevin Extalas

(OOC: This agreement has already been reached over AIM between Galliquesque and myself, this is merely an IC affirmation of the order. The cost he presents will be low, due to the special order status of this post.)

It is my distinct pleasure to offer you the first in our line of Soldat watches, and duly, it has all of the features that you seek. The Soldat is unique among our current line in that it is powered by solar energy and recharge its battery in the same manner. Additionally, it can be updated via satellite feed. Due to our generous first-time for this purchase, we can sell this order in bulk at $16 million. Not only is this rate reduced greatly, we offer the same amenities as we do all of our customers. Additionally, we will add one of our brilliant Etoile watches - tout gratuit. We hope that this order suffices and that it is agreeable.

Mr. Gustavesson, are you capable of meeting our order? We are more than ready to have your Soldat watches on the wrists of our commanders as soon as practical. As you know, the order is as follows:

1.5 million watches delivered over the next 5 years, 300,000 per year, at a total cost of $180 million dollars. If you can't deliver them at that rate, we can expand the deal to 7 years, or 214,000 per year, but no longer.

Best wishes,

Please pardon our late response - our Chef d'Affaires was away on vacation this past weekend, and has only brought this to our attention.

Regarding your proposal, HGSA is willing to offer our services to supply watches to your armed forces. We are certainly glad to build a watch according to your standards. On first review, we can craft a watch - using your requirements - with the following specifications:

- black phosphatized steel alloy body
- olive drab synthetic strap with black phosphatized steel alloy safety clasp
- digital display
:: main time display with date
:: alternate time display
:: world time
:: timer
:: stopwatch with 10-second countdown
- solar-charged battery
- display illumination by simultaneous press and hold of two buttons

If you would like, we can add a number of other functions:

- digital compass with north display at 12 o'clock
- multiple colors for different theaters [white for snow, sand for desert, black for night/urban].

Please let us know if these preliminary specs are suitable for your government. If so, we can supply the price for these watches. Please contact our Public Affairs Department [IM|galliquesque] for additional details concerning specials.

We are glad that your government has chosen HGSA as your watch-maker of choice. We hope that our business will be durable and valuable to the both of us. We look forward to many years of service with you.

Response:

This would be acceptable. An initial order of 100,500 watches would be placed once production of the "Soldat II" model is underway. The waterproofed to 150m depth feature is considered critical given the likely adoption of the watch by combat swimmer detatchments.
Additional colours are deemed unnessecary at the present time, as has the digital compass although for a different watch model (Possibly the "Soldat III" if such a thing were to come into production later) it would be a desirable feature.

We too look forward to a continuation of what is expected to be a profitable and beneficial business with the HGSA.

All of our watches are water resistant up to 200m, so the quality standards stated by your armed forces was never a real concern for us. As for your initial production order, we are willing to offer the watches at a reduced rate for their normal sale. We can offer the watches at a bulk rate of $16,000,000 for 100,500 Soldat II watches.

If these specifications are alright, we are glad to have been of great service in the development of this new watch. Development will require additional time to produce the requested quantities, which will push the order to about {4 RL days}.

Again, we are glad that you chose HGSA for your chronological needs, and we hope to see you again soon!

Ah, a misunderstanding due to terminology then. In my native tongue, "waterproofing" indicates a higher level of worksmanship dedicated to ensuring the water resistance of the protected compartments than "water resistant." We will trust to HGSA's superb worksmanship in this case.

The funds in question ($16,000,000) have been designated and wired to the appropriate accounts, and given the nature of our request we thank you for your generous sales discount and promptness. The RMSMC looks forward to being asked to do business with HGSA in the future, and will recommend your firm highly to all relevant parties.

New and excited updates to our Special Equipment Division:
