Overview
The T-56 Main Battle tank is a Payian upgraded design from the Russian T-54 Battle tank, it was designed to be the backbone of the Payian army and it did with great success by adding more armour and a better Power plant it has become a feared symbol in the Payian Armour division.
The T-56 replaced the T-54 after security issues, when one renegade officer jumped into an open T-54 hatch, this brought along the idea for the T-56. The T-56 hatch has a unique system of working unlike its predecessor its hatch auto-shuts itself after all occupants leave the vehicle making it hard to steal but easier to keep safe. When these designs first came in they were arguments about the safety of the crew inside whether if the tank was burning and the crew were locked inside to burn to death, this brought along the idea of power-force escape add-on for the hatch.
The Power-force escape add-on is a small line of weak explosive that would break the air-tight seal that held the hatch in place when locked, this would allow the crew to blow open the hatch and escape within a few minutes.
The T-56 what some people called the “Red Monster” due to its colour scheme being red was met with admiration and honour but it was not soon after its launch that it was met with blow to its credibility, Lt Raymond Hill was killed during a training exercise when his T-56 blow up for no apparent reason, when investigated it showed that when firing the cannon the chamber was not fully closed cause an implosion taking the lives of Lt. Hill and his Reload Gunner, Corporal Steven Adams.
