Formal Name: The Armed Republic of Austria-Hungary.
Type of Government: Facism Dictatorship.
Head of State: Der Oberste Führer von Österreich Benedikt Strom.
Head of Government: Benedikt Strom.
Population 105 000 000 (7 Western, 3 Eastern)
Important Cities: Vienna, Budapest, Zagreb, Prague, Bratislava

History:

Das große Republik von Österreich was founded shortly after the end of the Third World War. Spearheading a series of brutal military coups, the leader of the National Revolutionary Front Benedikt Strom took controls of several countries including Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia and Croatia. This was render possibly partly because of Benedikt's tremendous popular support and partly because of the utter sense of confusion which was omnipresent after the war. He later regrouped them into a single Facism state known officialy as a Republik and driven solely by his rule. Since then, the Republik as only but strengthen its nationalism zeal and its xenophobic nature. Only but a few other states are trusted by the Republik, for the rest are seen as inferior.

The Republik lies in a strategic position in Europe, as it lies in-between Western and Eastern Europe. This gives them both a strong population and plenty of food and oil for the military. It is not utterly self-sufficient however. It still requires deals with Eastern Nation to meet with the nation needs.

Current Standings: The Republik has nothing but disdain for the other Socialist Countries in Europe, particularly the Italian Union to the south. The wealth of the country is not as low as other nation because of the rapid progression of capitalism. Most of the national budget is of course spent on the military.

Military: 11 100 000.

The massive army of the Republik of Austria-Hungary is one of the most feared in the world. Although the Navy is technologically backwards, its Air-Force and Army is practically umatched. Most of their armament comes from before the War, with weapons and vehicles from the huge German Factories of the 20th century. The standard weapon for the Army is the Hekler and Koch G36 first produced in the 1990 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heckler_%26_Koch_G36 (although a few company use the more massively-produced AK-47) and their main battle tank the Leopard 2A6 from the 70'. Their Navy is suprisingly backwards with ships dating from the Second World War. Their Air-Force compensate for the lack of it, however.

Paramilitary:

The main paramilitary organization of the country is Benedikt's former Party, the National Revolutionary Front; NRF. They are currently in league with the Government, though this main change at any given time. They number a little over 200 000 members.

Liberatore Romano sighed as he read the notes he had received on The Armed Republic of Austria-Hungary. This nation closed in on him, there borders stretching out into Italy's rightful land. Another example of the scum that ruled this world today, a Fascist Dictatorship on there borders, a force to be feared, but also to be mocked.

But, after considering something he realised that this nation were aligned in Central Europe - they could be good allies, or bad enemies.

An Extract From Liberatore Romano Weekly Speech

...and we will struck down with vengeance on these animals that plague our farms and destroy our crops!

And today also marks the introducing of The Armed Republic of Austria-Hungary to what remains of this savaged world - a nation born from both the East and the West, and one that already is on the verge of entering Italy with its land! So we ask this nation, do they class them selves as Central European, or as friends of our old emenies of the East and West!? Do they wish to be friends with the Italian Socialist Union, or have bitter relations!?

Official Response to the Italian Union.

We from the Austrian Republik have no desire to ally or befriend the likes of you. Your adherence to socialism is profoundly disturbing and incompatible with our ways of life. Until you have renounce power or have drastically change the doctrines of your Party and affiliate, we will enforce an embargo upon your Nation. No merchant or resource of ours shall ever set foot upon Italian Soil, and all shipping from abroad will be stopped along our borders. Your allies will have to find another route. We are perfectly aware that this may hurt your economy and starve out your population, but know that we have no mercy for bolshevism scums.

Signed.
Der Führer, Benedikt Strom.

Liberatore Romano smashed his fist angrily into the map that was infront of him, and quickly paced around his ornate office. After a few minutes of thinking, he turned to one of his advisors and said:

"This nation has no right to tell us our socialism is disturbing! There whole country disturbs me! Built on former useless lands that I wouldn't even risk the life of one Italian Socialist Solider for, god knows how they managed to overpopulate the horrific place so much - I suspect open immigration - get me a pen, and I will send this letter personally to them."

- La Comunicazione Ufficiale Da Liberatore Romano

It seems as if your nation spies in on our speeches, and then decides to respond to them in such a manner that greatly displeases us. I am in a state of laughter after hearing your fickle demands for us to change our government, you have no right or influence in the ISU, so I suggest you firmly keep quiet - for both our sakes. Your unprovoked economic attack against our nation does nothing to us - my lord, did you really think the ISU had any plans to trade with a nation that is located both in the East and West! And as for your protection of your borders from allying shipments, again, this is nothing to us - these routes are inconvenient and unused by our allies anyway. We hoped diplomatic talks could start, but you have rejected the notion of that - we now suggest we both keep quiet on this issue.

Liberatore Romano,
Supreme Ruler of the Italian Socialist Union
