Archangel Hadriel paced back and forth across the sloping, circular bridge of his brood flagship Hadrium which was in high orbit of the Traileric world Achaeopolis. The better half of Hadriel's brood was present in the system, awaiting as an honor guard the arrival of the Dersconi scientific fleet and their envoy. Two hundred and eleven capital ships of varying designs and sizes were pulling into position of the colossal Traileric super dreadnought as last minute preparations were made to host as-of-yet unknown lifeforms. To his left, one of his underlings who was slaved to the ships nav AI twitched.

"Holy majesty, I detect incoming FTL data. It appears to be tetchyon accelerators and gates; this and their ship design matches pre-contact knowledge of Dersconi fleet design. Maintain weapons stand down?"

The Archangel gave a dismissive wave and system defensive systems powered down. The armor clad commander faced his communication screen to face his new allies.

OOC: I know the bitch is short. I only have 15 minutes, don't judge me. :o

OOC: Meh. I hate reading long posts anyways. :P

"Coming on target, sir."

"Disengage."

"Aye, disengage." The small fleet came back into regular space relatively near the massive show of force of the Trailers Navy. The small Dersconi fleet did not have nearly as large of a fleet, since they weren't trying to impress anyone -- they just wanted to scare off pirates. A carrier battlegroup will typically scare off pirates. It is not, however, the best thing to use to impress strength upon a collected starfleet. But, that's okay, since it wasn't the goal.

On the carrier, Kosmiral Thervni Khrazlandiev was on the bridge, scanning the massive fleet of the Trailers. Quite a show, quite a show. Either they'll be immensely loyal and helpful allies, or not worth my time, arrogant, and untrustworthy.

He snapped around, the reflections of his masked, robed, and cloaked psionic guard force disappearing from the glimmering jet black light battle armour that he wore. The long cape attached swayed from the sudden movement, sailing behind him as he climbed the stairs to the command platform overlooking the bridge.

The Kosmiral's helmet -- angular and horned, designed for a "space-gothic" look (much like the rest of the Dersconi Stellar Navy) -- black and gold, allowed the flag officer to be in constant communication -- via cybernetic telepathy -- with the fleet AI system, and the ship commanders. It also added to the imposition factor of the Kosmiral. It was to be expected, really -- the Dersconi Comos Army was brutally efficient, and possesses a rigidness that would make Bismarck's Prussian troops look like fools.

On the Command Platform, the holocom was started up, and the image of Archangel Hadriel appeared in front of him. Kosmiral Khrazlandiev stood in front of the module, with the four almost cultish-looking guards standing behind him in an arc.

"Thank you for accepting our request, your majesty. The Dersconi Government extends its gratitude."

The Dersconi dignitary's image formed on the Hadrium's bridge. The Dersconi could in converse see a small square of white metal clad light infantry standing in formation somewhere behind Hadriel. Traileric shipe design required a large, centrally located bridge at the core of the vessel, unlike the typical Terran design. A nod of acceptance was given by Hadriel before his response.

"On behalf of the Trailarii, I, Hadriel, welcome you and your kind to the Extra Solar Union. I am Hadriel, commander of this brood and twenty-third of the governing tribunal. Please forgive the tour-de-force before you. It is my kind's custom to be melodramatic.

If you wish to physically board my vessel you may do so. I trust you brought the engineers and data storage specifications that we suggested?"

As he spoke, a hangar bay portside of the dark red behemoth opened. Obviously the path to take if a traditional face to face meeting was preferred.

Although no one could see it, Thervni couldn't help but smile under the helmet. Apologizing for a tour-de-force. That's a first. I think I'll like these guys.

"Yes, we have brought a sizable number of engineers, technicians, and scientists, as well as a data storage system with a near infinite capacity. We intend on learning much from our new Stellar allies." The Kosmiral listened a little longer before nodding and replying.

"Thank you, we will accept your offer to board your vessel. We will depart immediately." The holocom system was shut down, and the Kosmiral and his four guards left the command platform, and the bridge entirely, to head to the main hangar bay in the carrier flagship.

When they got there, a transport vessel was prepared, with a select number of scientists, data specialists, engineers, and technicians were already on board. The Kosmiral didn't bother to take a large guard force with him -- just the four Psionics -- since the Trailerians were allies. And, of course, if they, for some odd reason, turned on them, a guard force the size of an army corps wouldn't really matter much, considering the sheer size of the Trailerian navy.

But, whatever.

The Kosmiral, an aide, and the four guards boarded the transport vessel and headed for the now open docking bay on the Hadrium, waiting to see what secrets Derscon's new allies will unlock.

Hadriel watched the corvette jettison from the Dersconi carrier and approach his dreadnought, pleased this other warrior-lord had the balls to speak to him in person.

"Neophyte, enact dock procedures. Trer, Rajan, recieve our guests."

With a nod, two hoplites separated from the bridge defense team and jogged to the hangar which housed the diplomat and his Psions.

The spacious hangar was large enough to produce a small capital ship, yet seemed totally empty apart from two relatively small, metal clad warriors. The Dersconi had been provided basic descriptions of commonly encountered allied troops and vessels through the ESUS battlenet, but these two didn't appear to be on the list. Rather than the conforming, weapon friendly gauntlets Traileric Hoplites generally equipped, these dimunitive suits had relatively bulky apparatuses attached to their forearms; furthermore, ornate Traileric markings decorated their armor. Apparently these were soldiers of status.

As the transport entered the docking-con, the first (and obviously ranking) Fang spoke both aloud and through a general communication frequency, to the vessel, which was merely yards away.

"Attention Dersconite, we are Trer and Rajan, Fangs of the Line and servants of His Holy Majesty, we would be most honored if you would allow us to accompany you to the inner chamber."

Kosmiral Thervni and party left the shuttle into the docking bay. He spotted Trer and Rajan and made his way over to them. He nodded to them both before speaking in his very low and raspy voice.

"Lead on."
