Apeiro Corporation Military Sector
Greetings, Allied Nations! Here at ApeiroCorp's private military contractor sector, we provide only the most efficient and well-balanced war machines to our valued clients. And this trend continues with our latest foray into the world of autonomous fighting vehicles!
The W-55 Manananggal - named after a dangerous mythical demon in Filipino folklore - is a bipedal, autonomous, light assault vehicle aimed at the replacement of both anti-tank infantry and, perhaps, jeeps. For the most part, it is disconnected from external computers and actually acts like an independent soldier on the battlefield. This is a step up from UGVs that depend on active data transception (transmission/reception) to controlling computers - nearly immune to hacking, and won't fail when the computers or signal transceivers do. Coordination is instead routed through the soldiers themselves. The Manananggal interprets the vocal commands that all soldiers receive via standard comms and acts accordingly. It can even receive orders from soldiers shouting at it.
Now, you may be thinking: What about enemy communications? Or enemy soldiers trying to trick this thing? Well, that's where logic comes in. Yes, logic. Plain and simple logic. That's another thing that makes the W-55 great. You'll get it in the manual if you order. Although, if you're confident in your computer coordination, you can generally just stick this machine into your battlefield control.
Another layer of effectiveness in this machine is that it can act alongside squads and lead or follow. Its high-end tactical software can generate plans in real-time and suggest them to a squad leader or distribute them among members. It can operate in dedicated bot squads, or in human/bot mixes.
Capabilities. Now that's what all the generals and staff look for. So, Brigadier, Major, Lieutenant and company, here's your fetish.
The W-55 can attain a speed of 260 kilometers per hour, and can accelerate to that speed from a stand-still in 1.8 seconds. It has a capacity for jumping; its high-end myomer-like leg "muscles" enable it to hit an electronically-limited ceiling of fifty to sixty feet. Forward distance is dependent on many factors. It has very good "reflexes", allowing it to dodge antitank rockets, lobbed grenades, and at sufficient range - sabot rounds. Although, this is generally not recommended. We hope you understand why.
One of its kicking factors is the healing. Some five liters of nanomachinery "grey goo" is stored in the W-55's innards, and this machinery can very quickly patch up "wounds" in the W-55's structure. The grey goo can also use surrounding materials to replace entire structure sections that aren't leg material.
The W-55 stands ten feet tall, and weighs seven to eight hundred kilograms depending on its payload. Its armor comprises an inner layer of ferro-polymer sheets that are impervious to many modern armor-piercers and the primary outer armor of boron fullerene, which is twice as hard as diamond, while remaining solid and not brittle.
Its standard antipersonnel payload includes a pair of 20mm chainguns (not miniguns!) that can fire at a rate of 2500RPM, and a single needle coilgun for sniping purposes :sniper: (standing shot has a good range of 5,500 meters, moving shot has 94% accuracy at 35kph at 2,500 meters). Its main weapon is a railgun that launches tungsten spires at enemy armor at ranges of up to 4,000 meters. The energy of this thing is an excellent 21 megajoules at that range! We don't need to tell you what that can do. For other multirole support, it carries an array of laser-guided missiles. As an alternative to weapon usage, the W-55, like its older cousin the W-47, can use kicking or bashing attacks against infantry or light vehicles.
Here's the tables then...I hate these things. Notice that we use varying measurement units. We prefer familiar devices for each measurement.
W-55 "Manananggal" - "Ma-na-nang-gal"

Weight: 700-800kg.
Max Speed: 260kph

2x Raminov G/M-43 Chaingun, rated at 2500RPM, carries ammo belts
Akira "Kikuchiyo" Magnetic Accelerator Coil (needlegun sniper)
Akira "Kambei" Magnetic Accelerator Rail (antitank)
Atlantis LGM-55 Laser-guided "rough antimatter" missiles, yield is 250kg of TNT per piece
Glad that's over. For security reasons, no paper or otherwise viewable schematics and diagrams are available at any time. Instead, they are stored on our central database. You may come to our secondary plant at the World Administration City in the Pacific Ocean, to observe the testing of the W-55 and perhaps obtain a sample for ninety-day trial, with a deposit equal to half the cost of the item. Full refund comes with your lack of satisfaction!
The W-55 is available for the price of AC1,500,000 each, equivalent to USD 10,000,000. Mechanics are simple and any trained military technician can repair a W-55. Software problems can be addressed and patches fixed all through the ApeiroCorp network, and can be passively distributed in no time at all with our proprietary distributed computing tool, of which many elements are stored in the W-55's themselves.
Thank you for taking the time to consider this new weapon. If you place any orders, we guarantee your satisfaction with our product. For more information, you can visit our aforementioned factory, or better yet, go straight to our primary base in the South Pacific:

The West Building is our Administration Sector, the Northeast Building is our R&D Sector, and the Southeast Building is our Registry. The rest of the company lies underwater.
Thank you again for your time, and although our business is in war, we honestly hope that not many of these, or anything like them, will ever actually be needed in the years to come.
