Hey, I had a great idea for an alternate history for an earth. If you like what you see and have a new earth, tell me and I will join.
Pretty much I want to claim the North Pole, Iceland, and Greenland. My alternate history will be that when the North Pole was discovered, a primitive human race whose language consisted of weird clucks. The explorers quickly took advantage of this cheap manpower, creating munitions, firearms, planes, ships, and vehicle factories in the North Pole. Over time, this race began to assimilate, learning how to speak English, Spanish, French, Russian, and German. Eventually, a leader emerged. He urged his people to throw off the yoke of oppression that was holding them down, so they seized the weapons that they had created and turned them on their masters. Due to their years of enslavement, these people know how to create some of the best technology available today. Due to the climate that they lived in for so long, they can stand outside naked in -23 degree Fahrenheit weather and not feel chilled. This allows them to cover great distances of icy terrain impassible to many modern armies. After throwing off their oppressors, the race organized under a true democracy, where every man had a vote. They held a deep hatred for their former oppressors, and wished to even the score. They demonstrated this when they invaded Greenland. They moved quickly across the barren landscape, killing all the opposing soldiers with few casualties. However, as they moved closer to the cities, the fighting grew tougher. With no schooling in warfare, casualties mounted. This also helped them, though, as they developed new schools of thought in the military arena, deriving new tactics to defeat the foe. As time progressed, casualties continued decreasing. Finally, all Greenland stood under the rule of this civilization. They then moved on to Iceland. After having been through combat once, the second time was much easier. They positioned carrier groups off the coast and continually bombarded economic, military, and industrial installations. Eventually, an amphibious landing crushed the morale of the defenders. With Leopard 2Es and M1A1 MBTs leading the way, the surge crushed all in its path. Since that time, the war machine has died down, but it is not calm yet.
