" At 3:00 pm today, the Arab-Canadian government announced it will instate a draft which will be effective at 2:00pm tomorrow. All adults male and female between the ages of 17 and 30 will be under the control of the new draft laws. The Government has begun to encourage parents become active in having more children. The Government has also announced that all parents who let the Government adopt their children will receive a 5k grant and will pay for the hospital bills involved with the child birth. " spoke the Lead news reporter Hummand Al james as he stood in front of Arab-Canadian Capital building

" It has been three weeks since the called for unwanted children to be conscripted, and our nation is seeing a demoralizing reality. The military Adoption system has adopted close to 2000 children since the beginning of the program. And a projected 4000 more are to be adopted within the next 3 months. Many people are seeing this trend as disturbing and many are saying that this is morally corrupt."

We also, in the Imperial Federation, see this as a very disturbing turn of events in any nation. We hope that the goverment of Arab-Canada changes their ways, and we will allow any refugees seeking escape to enter our country. They will be granted amnesty, also, if we find any of your citizens to have already entered illegally prior to this declaration.

Current statistics show that many of our people are not opposed to the draft. But a strong base of our older population are finding that our Military Adoption systems is becoming a ground for children selling program. I hope this clears it up.


But as always we have never restricted immigration of our people.

Zackaroth also finds this distrubing. We see no reason to draft that many people , children of all people, for a country that seems to have no real enemies and seems to be a perfectly stable condition. if you where at war with an opressive enemy or had a bad terroist infestion we might understand but this move seems to be a move to brainwash the younger generation to fight a war that might not want to fight should it ever occur. We will be watching this closely

This move is one that is made for the preservation of our traditional military background. Normally we have a well strengthened military but as of lately and due to our signing a peace treaty with the nation of Aetris. This signing forced much of our military to retire. We are simply trying to preserve tradition and military strength.

The COMECON-SD, or Community for Common Economic and Strategic Development, is a new alliance formed to increase the strength of the Vetalian nation and the nations that side with it.

"If I do recall correctly, we signed a peace treaty. However, I must admit that we (the Aetris government) don't find such massive amounts of conscripting as peaceful. We will be sending government inspectors over shortly," said national leader Vincent Edge as he sighed heavily and sat back in his chair and continued, "I understand that this is not too long after the ending of our 30 year trade conflict, and most are still tense, myself included. Even so this is suspicious behavior and I am only acting with the general public of my nation in mind. Please understand."

He sighed heavily once again as his head adviser, Natalie Trevor, walked through his office door carrying a steaming cup of coffee. "Ah, caffeine. One can definitely use some after all that has happened. It is not easy too make such decisions when national security is at stake." said Vincent as he received his cup of coffee and gave it a good smell. The rich aroma of the Kornosian coffee bean was the delight of the nation. But the simple delights like coffee, where not to be stressed as his nation was again on the brink of war.

"Vincent, are you sure that Arab-Canada is trying to strengthen its military for an invasion? I don't think that they would try to pull a stunt like that." mentioned Natalie as she looked over the reports about Arab-Canada's new program.
