Today going to be a great day in Eurasian History, the Federation is set to expand once more, this around Jordan and Egypt were to join the Federation. Just expanding the union of federated states to the south. All over the federation, everyone watched with keen interest to what will happen next, all the major news broadcasting agencies had their reporters in the area reporting how the change will effect the federation and these new regions overall.

At Cairo International Airport, Egypt

Premier Nasir bin Abdullah al Assad airplane made a smooth landing and came to a rolling stop, the Premier bodyguards were the first to the exit the plane, and then the Premier himself existed the plane and salute the Cottish Honor Guard as he walked to towards the King of Cotland.

The King had arrived a few days earlier, and had overseen the final stages of the Cottish withdrawal from Egypt. The Realm had been in Egypt in some form or another since 1956, when the first Cottish expeditionary force landed on the shores of the Sinai peninsula. There had been some divisions of Egypt and some reconquests, but in the end, Cotland had always had some Egyptian territory underneath it. Today truly was an end of an era - 51 years of Cottish rule was coming to an end. Most of the Cottish men and equipment in the region, for instance, had been withdrawn either to Siberia, Bjornoya or Alaska, where the forces were being consolidated, or to readiness depots thoughout Cotland.

Of course, the Cottish wouldn't withdraw completely. The Suez Canal would still be in Cottish hands, under the protection of Cottish forces - the entirety of 46. Korps, fifty thousand soldiers in all, would protect the canal and its (Cottish) interests with the blessing of the Eurasian government. Still, the mood was a sombre one for the Cottish. Millions of ethnic Cots had already left both Egypt and Jordan after the news broke, most resettling in the significantly colder climate of Siberia, where there was plenty of land for anyone tough enough to brave the frost of the harsh winter, but there was still a substantial portion of the population present. They would be offered dual citizenship, allowing them to go to Cotland whenever they wished.

Looking up as the ninety-six paratroopers of the 164. Fallskjermjegerdivisjon that formed the honor guard snapped to attention, presenting their shiny L114A4 Enhanced Carbines, for the occation fitted with bayonets, to the Eurasian Premier, the King smiled and greeted him.

"Premier al Assad, welcome to Cairo," the King said with a friendly smile. He was dressed in an expensive designer suit that looked particularly good on him instead of the normal uniform that was customary for state visits, but that was because this wasn't really a state visit. It had been Cottish soil when the King arrived, but it would be Eurasian soil when he left. So, with the confusion therein, the King had decided that the most appropriate would be a civilian suit. "I hope you had a comfortable flight?"

The Eurasian troops were already in Egypt and Jordan, but in small numbers a few regiments at best for now, when the handover is said and done, more units will be deployed to the new regions to insure that the local police were able to maintain law and order during this change of governments. The Eurasian General Staff had big plans for Egypt, which call for the deployment and creation of six army corps for the region alone and major shipyard in Alexandria. Needless to say the Eurasians had big plans for future of these lands.

The Premier smiled and said, “ Thanks for welcome, and yes I rather nice flight. How is everything for the wife and you?”

The King smiled as he heard the Premier's question.

"We're both well. As you know, we've got a little one on the way so Maria couldn't join us - doctor's orders. They're rather overprotective, but its better to be a little bit too careful than not, wouldn't you say?" His Majesty answered as they walked down past the honor guard that stood in perfect attention, their sand-colored desert-environment class A uniforms, maroon berets and perfectly polished black leather boots, belt buckles and various badges, decorations and medals on their chests matching their clean-shaven faces and hard determination to show the foreign head of state that the Cottish paratroopers - most of them were just conscripts serving their mandatory 18 months in the Army, but they were still very proud of their unit and their status - were the elite of the elite. The men held their rifles in a perfect 'present arms' posture - the buttstock of the rifle resting in the palm of the left hand while the right hand appeared to be resting just over the magazine, while the soldier stood straight with his head facing directly forward, keeping a neutral expression but a hard determination in the soldier's eyes to be the best - while the officers presented their swords - holding the parade sword in a straight arm down to the forward right - in respect for the two heads of state that conducted an inspection of the elite unit.

"How do you find the men sir?" The King asked al Assad as they passed them.

The Premier smiled and answer as they walk pass the guards” They are well trained and represent the best in your nation, its reminds of my days in Eurasian Military. Not so long ago.. “
