Many decades ago, the Great State of Korridan was formed when a group of Socialist Revolutionaries declared a great new state on the Antarctic continent. Yet they were challenged, a great corporation claiming to own what was theirs by right brought his goons upon the fledgling state, and it was forced to fight, hanging on by its fingernails to hold what little land it had. Korridan was triumphant against all odds, and stood as the greatest nation in the new region of New Siberia. Then, it and its brave leader Comrade Ian seemed to vanish, where to it was unknown but the old houses and bases were found deserted, abandoned.
Yet today it has been revealed that the people of Korridan, now The Socialist Imperium of Korridan, did not fade away. Digging deep into the Anarctic continent they founded an underground empire, utilizing the continent's vast mineral wealth and geothermal energy to build a new nation. Free from the capitalist oppressors they thrived, and were able to build a new, truly socialist state without the corruption that has plagued many. With a burgeoning population of over 600 million, the people of Korridan were forced upwards once more, and various outposts have been seen around the antarctic continent. Comrade Ian, and his great Socialist Korridan, have been forced by neccesity into the world scene, and the future of his people, and of his brand of Steinman Socialism, is at stake.
