The Denny Industrial heartland.

People of the World,

Denny Island is a vast industrial power. The towering chimnies of her factories strecth forth into the distance. Her cities writhe under a perpetual smog. The coal mines and steel works and chemical plants and car factories and shipyards and aircraft factories dominate our country and our economy. Denny has been made rich on the back of her industrialisation, and the mighty furnaces of our factory are the pilot lights of our country. Our manufactured goods are exported far and wide, to all the corners of the earth.

You may ask, then, what we want from you?

Investment.

The Denny factories are ageing, and we have no "new" industries of the so-called "service sector". A great number of Denny companies are on the verge of bankruptcy, and no one in Denny has the money to save them from their fates. We have decided to lift foreign investment restrictions and allow these companies to be bought abroad through the DENNY INDUSTRY AND INVESTMENT CO., so that foreign money can get them back on their feet, and stave off recession and mass unemployment.

Here is a list, with current value written alongside:

Imperial Denny Chemicals PLC - £1,200,000,000 - SOLD to Imperial Central Bank PLC (Praetonia) for asking price
Southend Coal Mines PLC - £2,000,000,000 - SOLD to Imperial Central Bank PLC (Praetonia) for asking price
Imperial Denny Petroleum PLC - £40,000,000,000 - SOLD to Imperial Central Bank PLC (Praetonia) for asking price
Graves' Naval Yard PLC - £3,750,000,000 - SOLD to Imperial Central Bank PLC (Praetonia) for asking price
Forthright Chemicals PLC - £2,150,000,000 - SOLD to Imperial Central Bank PLC (Praetonia) for asking price
Imperial Denny Explosives PLC - £1,000,000,000 - SOLD to Imperial Central Bank PLC (Praetonia) for asking price
Denny Whaler Company PLC - £800,000,000 - SOLD to Imperial Central Bank PLC (Praetonia) for asking price
Imperial Denny Steel PLC - £8,550,000,000 - SOLD to Imperial Central Bank PLC (Praetonia) for asking price
Graves' Naval Yards PLC - £1,150,000,000 - SOLD to Angaorian Military Industries (Angaroia) for asking price
Merchant Investment Bank of Denny PLC - £900,000,000,000
Thamar Toll Roads PLC - £100,000,000
Yarris Cars PLC - £3,000,000,000 - SOLD to Apollo Banking & Securities LTD (The Silver Sky) for £4,093,530,000,000
Canary Mining PLC - £1,204,000,000

We await friendly foreign investment.

Note: All bids will be made public to facilitate counter-bids.

Imperial Central Bank plc.

Sir,

On behalf of the shareholders and Company of the Bank, may I express my regret at your country's present hard economic times. Your call for foreign investment is exactly the correct decision to make.

The companies you have listed as open for foreign purchase seem to tie in well with the present portfolio of Imperial Central Bank Industrial Investments Ltd., which has a great deal of experience managing extremely successful businesses along the same lines in the Crown Commonwealth and elsewhere throughout the world. It is thought that with sufficient investment in the form of low-interest, long term loans, which the Bank is able to provide to its acquisitions, these companies could survive and even expand rapidly, drastically increasing employment, economic growth, and general wealth in your country.

The Bank has experience in this sector which cannot be matched by foreign Banks or private equity groups. Indeed, we would be interested in purchasing in full all of the companies you have listed, as we believe that we are best placed to grow them into the world-beating Dennian (is this correct?) industries that they have the potential to be. As such, we are offering not only the state value of each business, but also a 100% premium if you agree to sell each one to the Bank. This is surely a premium on any offer that could be generated even by a bidding war.

The Bank awaits your reply.

Yours Faithfully,

Lord William Shrewsbury,
Chairman of the Board of Directors

Lord William Shrewsbury:

Thank you for replying to the request by the Denny Island government for economic investment. I am very happy to see that foreigners care about our economy. Our economy is in poor shape and needs all the help it can get -- especially in the industrial area.

Your bank appears a good choice for investment. We are saddened that other countries did not make similar offers but your offer seems fair. Indeed it seems generous, very generous indeed. You should know that most of these companies are not in good financial shape. But I am sure you will be able to fix all that as you claim.

I hereby accept on behalf of Denny Island.

Mr Carlton White
Head of the Denny Industry and investment company.

PS. My government offers a free trade agreement for the benefit of both our nations. Please accept our proposal.

Imperial Central Bank plc. Press Release

Dear shareholders and other interested parties,

Imperial Central Bank plc. has recently acquired a significant new foothold in a previously unknown country called Denny Island. It appears that this country, as a previously protectionist state, has little internal competition. As a result our prospects here are excellent as, with an impending recession, we are able to build up the companies we have purchased to dominant positions within the internal Denny market and then move into the export market, selling Denny goods worldwide.

The companies purchased are as follows:

Imperial Denny Chemicals plc.
Southend Coal Mines plc.
Imperial Denny Petroleum plc.
Graves' Naval Yard plc.
Forthright Chemicals plc.
Imperial Denny Explosives plc.
Denny Whaler Company plc.
Imperial Denny Steel plc.

The total cost of the deal was close to sixty billion Crowns.

As can be seen from the above list, this investment represents a diverse portfolio, from oil to fishing and explosives. We believe that this portfolio will triple in value in the next decade, and after that increase by an order of magnitude in value in the next ten years after that.

We expect to work closely with the Denny government to deliver value to their economy and Denny-resident workers.

Lord William Shrewsbury,
Chairman of the Board of Directors

Thomas Gorge Ceo Of Angaorian Military Industries:

We are sorry, this shipyard has already been snapped up by a bank from Praetonia. We clearly misinterpreted past lack of interest in our companies.

However, the DII&I Co. can offer you a similar yard, called the Wellhake Yard. It is smaller, but still an adequate shipyard, which currently manufactures destroyers for our navy. It is worth 1,150,000,000 at current.

Are you interested?

Greetings, I would like to offer to buy the following companies for Timber Wolf Incorporated, my company.

Merchant Investment Bank of Denny PLC - £900,000,000,000
Thamar Toll Roads PLC - £100,000,000
Yarris Cars PLC - £3,000,000,000
Canary Mining PLC - £1,204,000,000

They will be welcomed in the TWI family, which owns 80% of the companies within the United Dominion and owns two foreign companies; Elite Arms Incorporated and Trade Wind Incorporated. My people know how to make companies better themselves. That means upgrading anything out of date with the times and etc. If they make money, I’ll be a happy person like a kid in a candy store.

Anyways, the total should be 904.304 billion. That is, if I did my math right. That’s a lot of money.

Thank you for your time.
