I don't have gundam tech, but I am working on a storefront. I will be able to supply ships or something, but that may take a while. You can look in my factbook for the kinds of things I will be selling and see if you like anything.

I have gundam tech on my main... not selling yet though ((you do know that in gundam ships normally blow up from one hit unless they are battleships))

No offence but Gundam is basiclly a Wank the way it is used in the shows.

I only saw G Gundam, and thought it was ok, so I'm no expert.

Gundam as it is in Gundam wing and G Gundam is most obviously wank. However Gundam in UC or CE is totally different. They are hard sci fi units, using a piece of technology that makes long range fighting difficult. This is either neutron jammers or mynovsky particles. They are very effective because it is a pre FTL civilisation, their main ships are only 170-330 meters long, the very largest is at most 400 meters. Mobile suit effectiveness against FTL style ships drops off, however they are still big around 18 meters tall, and well armed.

Basically they operate against larger ships in the same manner as heavy fighters in space, with heavy anti cap ship missiles or cannons and large numbers, and main combat vehicles on the ground. The size of MS units, as i said about 18 meters means they can pack some serious FT armament as well, but they wont be popping frigates like zits. So as far as it goes, mobile suits arent a wank, only when they are Wing zero or Epyon from Gundam wing do they qualify as that.

Now i know that some people do sell mobile suits, I believe Thrashia for one used to sell them.

indeed, When you get to UC and CE tech, it all fits perfectly within the bounds of reality. Infact I use Advanced CE tech (Tech taken way beyond any of the cannon stuff) and they work well in combat situations. You just need to have the right things on them, powerful rifles, anti-matter missles, shields and other things that make it like a mini-gunship. Only wing tech is a main wank, Stick with UC and CE tech and you'll be fine.

I have so much surplus Gundam technology, it makes my brain hurt. I went through a total overhaul of my military and swapped everything over to Macross/Robotech technology, as it is obvious that it way out-classes mobile suits.

Hell, I'll give you five thousand Den'an Zons and one thousand Den'an Geis to start off, and then start feeding you everything else in shipments.

Er, Spit Break I'd call what you use CE derivative technology, because it isn't really based off any solid reasoning based on C.E.
Personally I'd stick to UC as CE doesn't supply any figures for propulsion, weapons output or even power generation in some cases.

Ironic that you compare Gundam to hard sci-fi at all, let alone add a bit after about the Minovsky Particle.

It all depends where in the world you are, In japan Gundam has the same if not more popularity then Star wars does here. It a matter of perspective, also CE derivative technology doesn't make 100% sense after all my main energy weapons are positron based, my mobile suits are base off suits like the Infinate Justice and so on. Any wa im not here to argue my tech, and while C.E does not provide some figures, that leaves the door open for fanfiction.

well rly i was aiming to use weaponry like the taurus moble suits from gundam wing but also use tech from other shows & films such as starwars and stargate

i wnat to take the best from each but not being a godmod wank

so make it realistic as possible

As long as you don't cross the line and make a suit that will not die, you should be fine

I think Evas are better then Gundams, but then again Evas open so many more cans of worms it's not even funny.

Your average Valkyrie VF-1J outclasses all mobile suits between the One Year War and Char's Counterattack. F91 and Victory give them some trouble.

Seriously, Valkyries were meant to combat giants with the reaction time of a human being, as were Destroids (the Spartans, at least). A Valkyrie can do a tuck-and-roll maneuver when in Battroid form. Mobile suits fall flat on their faces when they try that sort of thing. Mobile suits simply can not bend their joints far enough to have the same fluidic movement as a Valkyrie or a Spartan Destroid, even with the magnetic coating.

Then there's also the factor that Destroids and Valkyries have a larger payload of weapons. Your average Zaku II has a single hand-held weapon, a secondary weapon, and a close combat weapon. A Destroid Spartan can have a hand-held 55mm gatling gunpod, a multi-weapon system with five weapons all in one, and a close combat weapon, along with having additional hardpoints for extra weapons and equipment, and that its capable of hand-to-hand combat with its built in claw hands and its legs and feet.

And then we get to the ship-size differences...the SDF-1 is about the size of an Imperial Star Destroyer, with about the same firepower, and a little more with the addition of the Reflex Cannon. There's also the ARMD space carriers, which all average out to be the size of a Dolos with a higher carrying capacity for units and a higher weapons payload.

The largest ship in the entire Gundam universe (with ACTUAL STATS) is the Dolos, which only averages out to be about 600 meters long, with eight two-barrel main guns, two two-barrel AA machine guns, and an MS carrying capacity of 182 mobile suits. The largest actual battleship is the Gwanban-class, which is about 450 meters long and only has a higher weapons payload, with only an MS carrying capacity of about twenty mobile suits, if I remember correctly.

I do believe that, in an all-out fleet battle between the SDF-1 and the entire Zeon Fleet prior to their destruction at Loum, the SDF-1 would come out on top with some moderate hull damage and a really big paint scratch.

lol that’s what it turns into every time, a lot of people don't like gundams or think there mechs are better, and intern Gundam fans look down upon all other mechs and think they are the best.


As for weapon load out my ZGMF-6000/D Delta Dread Fire has multiple weapon systems and can outperform any UC or even CE suit. Being designed by me I made sure ammo is not a problem. Aside from hand weapons it has weapons mounted in the forearms, legs and shoulders along with the back pack depending on the model. I'm also open to sell MS's and ships. Now just to clash with Copenhaghenkoffenlaugh again, most Gundam cannon tech has or is being expanded upon to compare the Dolos can't compare to the ZAFT forces Dagger class Super Dreadnought which is a length (from one point to another) of 36km and a Height of 38km. its a massive ship indeed but the so few I have are used well. Advance MS tech enough and it will out perform any-thing and intern the same can be said about other mechs. It’s just all about staying one step ahead.

ooc Well I myself have been using a transformable fighter for the past four RL years, first the Alpha and beta, legioss, then i switched to my own Morgenraetes, which are closer to a Taurus in fact. I can sell surplus alpha's, give contracts for hellebardes, which are like a shorter Mobile suit and sell the Endymion add on armour. Also we can sell an export version of the Alpha II which is much like a Taurus suit, and has pictures. However if you want that stuff you have to approach me icly, give me a message and i can indeed sell you some stuff, its not canonical, but i dont install weapon systems so it can be *x* hull with *x* weapons. Icly we are starting a weapon export business, so the Prefecture state in Tannelorn would be more then willing to do business with those whose money is good.
