presents the all new PD-400 MagLev Train System!

PD-400 MTS

The all new self-contained system has been developed specially for New Basillica's needs. The cars are easily configurable for live, dry or liquid cargo, bulk or luxury passengers or large freight such as automobiles. The system is capable of accelerating the train cars to a steady 350mph/565 kph. The track is essentially a one-piece, poured concrete structure embedded with electromagnetic conduits along either side and is surprisingly inexpensive and easy to install. The track can be installed on or under ground level, or can even be elevated over mountainous terrain or city streets as shown in the picture. For even more mobility. the train can slide right onto a specially designed, advanced ferry so it can make water transits without the need of a large bridge or tunnel.

Calizorinstan would like this MagLev system to be installed throughout Calizorinstan, this will improve our traveling times for the people that want to take trains.

We will see if we can expand our operation, for the moment we have to make sure everything is proceeding as planned in New Basilica

New Basilica will be ordering 60 trains. we are ready to start constructing the lines, we just need to agree on a price.

Initially we believe we can do it for an end cost of about $25 million per mile of track(installed) plus an upfront cost of $10 billion for infrastructure. And it we are able to quote such a low price sine you are located close to The Phoenix Milita.

To the government of The Phoenix Militia

We have heard of your new maglev system and we think you would be interested in our advanced magnetic and electromagnetic technologies for transportation systems. These systems could cut the operational costs of your maglev networks by 8-10% and would increase their overall speed by at least 25-30% based upon comparable systems in use today. They are already in use in our maglev system, and we feel that your company and your customers would benefit from having access to this technology.

Proprietary licensing of this technology for your use would cost approximately $500 million USD per year. This patent would be the sole property of PDT for 15 years after which the license would expire and the information released to the public for free use. If you are interested, please respond soon since the Vetalian government's Public Research Title Licensing Act only permits us to license a finite number of technologies per year and once this limit is met no new patents can be issued for our discoveries.

Thank you for your offer, but we already have the most advanced magnetic levitation technology available. We have been employing maglev systems in many aspects of military and civil transportation and even spaceflight technology for several years now.

Interesting. Your advances in this field are highly interesting to us, and we would like to conduct analysis of your systems in order to advance our own research in to this field. As a result, we will ask for your help instead.

Accordingly, we offer you $1 billion per year to establish a joint research effort between the VIAP and Phoenix Dynamix. Any and all research produced will be your property for 15 years following its license, and in exchange the VIAP gains access to your own information on magnetic systems.

Our goal is to discover magnetic monopoles in natural sources, with the goal of eventually using these discoveries in commercial fields.

We would like a maglev train where you can drive cars into waiting cubicles on the train. We would like a hydraulic system so you can stack the car cubicles one atop of each other two high. We would like the train to be able to also go onto a ferry boat where it would take you across the bay.

it has already been designed to travel on a special ferry

Dr. Nikolai Nazarov, we are slightly interested in your proposal, but at this time Phoenix Dynamix Labs is quite frankly swamped and so we can not enter a full fledged research program, especially since we feel our maglev systems are sufficient and cost-effective at this time. Perhaps at a later date we will pursue your offer more aggressively.

Mimi Ohyes, at this time, we can expand the MagLev system to your nation, but what you describe, and your distant location will raise the costs approximately 25%.

We are willing to pay the 25%. The ability to transport commuter cars between cities and over water easily would be quite useful. Our highways are becoming quite congested.

Ministry of Infrastructure

We are interested in a contract to upgrade our electrified rail network to a MagLev system as part of our ongoing program to upgrade our armed forces and the infrastructure that supports them. Since the Senate has recently voted to provide funding for such an infrastructure project, we would be interested in discussing the possibility of a 15-year program to construct the following system to replace our rail and electrified rail systems:

3.25 million kilometers of maglev line designed for freight traffic
1.75 million kilometers designed for passenger traffic and light freight
250,000 kilometers of line to link our military infrastructure and its associated

We estimate that a 15-year program would be sufficient to allow you to upgrade the network without significantly disrupting too many lines at once. This will coincide with the completion of our defense retrofit and so will ensure our military and commercial infrastructure are fully ready to support our economic and strategic needs. Your company will be free to select its own private suppliers when construction begins, and will be free to make the engineering decisions necessary to ensure optimal reliability and efficiency when the network becomes operational.

If interested, please supply initial cost estimates so that we can advance negotiations to construct this network.

From: Phoenix Dynamix
Phoenix Dynamix has a counter proposal:
We will work with you to construct the 5 million kilometers of maglev line for freight and passenger traffic. Hopefully by the time we complete with the 5 million kilometers of this joint project, your own engineers and workers will be skilled enough to build the final 250,000 kilometers for your military.

Excellent. That will be perfectly fine for our needs. We will immediately begin training our engineers in the operation and construction of your systems for future expansion of our lines.
