January 1993 A.D.
King Sanjaya Krishna looked around at the hundreds cheering his name. They were gathered in Ganges, the capital of Vaishnastan located on the river Ganges. This was Sanjaya Krishna's first "official" day as King, and he was enjoying it. However, he had been the King de facto for the past 2 years.

He stepped up to the podium only to be greeted with the cheers of the crowd. He then began.

Aum!

With this simple mantra, the crowd erupted. The King continued after a minute of constant cheers.

A new Kingdom has been created, by the Grace of God. Aum! And with this chant do we announce this.

We have finally united the various peoples that live in Vaishnastan. The various castes, the various religions, the various races, even the outcastes...ALL have been united!

The crowd erupted into cheers again. The King silenced the crowd with a hand signal.

I have a beautiful quote from the Bhagavad Gita that I wish to share with you.

At this, one man in the crowd lifted his head up. He had heard this phrase before; as a child he heard it. After this was the reading from the scripture...

"Whenever and wherever there is a decline in religious practice, O descendant of Bharata, and a predominant rise of irreligion, at that time I descend Myself"

And after this was the reference...

Bhagavad Gita 4:7

And after this was the "beating around the bush"...

As we can see, Lord Vishnu promises to descend whenever and wherever the people are in a decline of religious practice. Lord Vishnu incarnates Himself as man, and He truly has incarnated Himself as a beautiful form!

At this the people cheered. The man in the crowd knew that the claim was comming...the same one which led to the War which lasted for years that ended just recently...

And this beautiful form that He has taken...the Most Glorious form! This form, this Avatar of the Glorious Lord Vishnu...is your King.

The crowd erupted once again in cheers. They were chanting "Aum Vishnu! Aum Sanjaya Krishna!" over and over. This was the claim, the claim that the last King of India made before he was overthrown.

All of the crowd was cheering. All but this one man, whom nobody seemed to notice. He left the crowd and returned to his home. All of the events of the day creeped up on him. The events of this day were the same events that his father had experienced 20 years ago and were the same events that this man had experienced as a baby. 20 years ago...the start of the War.

The War began simply because of a claim that the King of India made; the claim that he was an Avatar.

This claim outraged a lot of the Hindu population and also the non-Hindu population. The man's father used this outrage and converted it into a religious war at the end of which the king was overthrown and 3,000,000 people were killed. This drastically reduced the population of India. The man's father was also killed in this war.

And the same claim was made today by the new king, King Krishna Sanjaya. This time, it was the son of the great rebel leader who was listening in the crowd and heard the claim. The man sat down, meditating on the syllable "Aum". After an hour, the man got up. And this man, a simple Shudra named Arjuna Haridas, knew what he must do.

OOT: This is modern tech and is obviously not real life events. This is a civil war which leads to the development of Vaishnastan. Countries wishing to participate should just post here and they'll be able to.

Febuary 1994 A.D.
It was time.

It was the time to end the oppression from the King and to install a rightful ruler over India. Arjuna Haridas decided not to act on the result of his meditation one year and one month ago. However, this had haunted him. This decision he knew was not a good one. He sat down to meditate again but once he was comfortable a booming sound came from the loudspeaker in the middle of the City of Ganges.

All citizens are to report to the city square to listen to the Praiseworthy's speech! Repeat: All citizens are to report to the city square to listen to the Praiseworthy's speech!

Arjuna walked out of his home and into the already crowded city square. The people there were chanting the King's name. How could they stand this oppression? They smiled in the face of this oppression that India was facing. How?

Arjuna had managed to get together a small group of people; a mere 20 people with one man from "Vishnu's Supreme Soldiers" (as the Indian military was called). They met in the city square. People were running from all directions and fights were starting because people wanted to get close to the King. A plan was made by Arjuna. As he put it: "We'll have to sacrifice ourselves for Mother India".

King Sanjaya Krishna stepped up to the podium. The crowd kneeled down in prayer to the King; all but the 20. There, in the middle of hundreds of people, was one Shudra man, 18 Vaishyas, and 1 Kshatriya denying the King. This was enough to get one killed.

The King's official, the Vizier, stopped mid-prayer and screamed into the mic to kill the "rebels" (as he called them). Out of nowhere came security officials and people were screaming and scrambling.

King Sanjaya Krishna's security took him and the Vizier out of the crowd and into their personal jet. Once the jet took off, gunshots fired from everywhere. One of the rebels was hit in the leg and was ganged up upon by the security officials who then arrested him. Arjuna Haridas managed to get to the podium and saw the mic still on. He decided to broadcast a message.

"Aum! And with this we shall be victorious."

Arjuna Haridas ran away from the podium and was assaulted by security officials. This officials took him away roughly after a beatdown and they were taking him towards the crematorium of Ganges. Here, Haridas was to die. All feared this place, and this is how the King kept his iron fist over India.

As he was being dragged off, Arjuna Haridas heard a gunshot go off as if it was right next to him. At this, everyone ducked; including the security officials. The man who fired the shot, the Kshatriya caste rebel, was killed immediately by a bullet that seemed to fly out of nowhere.

Arjuna Haridas ran towards the gun. So far, it was a massacre; Arjuna was the only rebel left. He picked up the gun and shot the two security officials who were carrying him. He aimed it towards another security official, but the gun was empty. At this Haridas made a mad dash towards the Ganges River, as the City of Ganges was located on this river. Arjuna Haridas knew how to swim, and it would be a long swim.

Once there, Haridas threw off his shirt and dived into the water. He began to swim very slowly, as he was extremely tired. He decided that he couldn't do it, and got back on land. He ran into a house and hid in there, only to hear someone scream "It's him! It's him!". Fearing that he would be caught, Haridas ran out of the house and began to run along the Ganges River.

He spotted a factory. He knew that this would be his only hope, so he ran with all of his strength (which was very little) towards this factory. He continued to run until he was shot in the kneecap. He fell to the ground and began to crawl, but security officials caught up to him and beat him unconcious.

The 2nd Civil War had begun.
