In a random unprecidented move, Dementor Shock Troops utilize a mental warp provided to them by the delusionalists and materialize in an insanitorium. Neutralizing (though not killing) the clinic staff, the troops round up the patients and deliver them to the Saneless Republic before crumbling from overexposure to reality.

High Priest Jackywobb sincerly regrets this course of action, but points out that it was necessary and dealt little damage.

Yes, peace should be given a chance. Maybe a more direct form of peace talks should take place. How 'bout we set up a meeting with the intent to end this quickly and peacefully.

Isn't it possible for one nation to RP in multiple tech levels at once? By that I mean RPing several forms of one nation.

Yep. My FT version has its own units and ships and leaders, and my MT has its own units ship and leaders.

Hey, Saneless, would you say that you are an FT nation or an MT nation? If it is the latter, let me know and I'll develop an FT side of my account.

Also, FT could mean Fantasy Tech. Although normally when I talk about Fantasy Tech, I use FanT but I don't rollplay in that tech level.

I would say that's a combination Future/Fantasy thing, but that's just me.

The RP of magic and the paranormal alongside more less strict modern tech does happen reasonably often on NS and can be quite well done. It does of course cover a wide range of RPs from fairly simple investigations into the paranormal to things fairly close to F.E.A.R. or the X-files all the way up to full on "shadow wars" where full scale conflcits often mask a clash between paranormal powers, a good example being conflcits involving Chaos inspired nations where there is on one hand a fairly normal conventional conflict but on the other deamons and witch hunters are duking it out.

I personally have my nation set up for this sort of stuff through the incorporation of Templars and the Inquistiion in my nation's mainstream. The one major issue surrounding this kind of RP is that it does involve a lot of OOC and good working relationship between both sides, who both need to be prepared for more than a little give and take, other wise it just degenerates into a case of:
"My witchhunter uses the power of his mind to purge all your deamons from the land of the living"
"No he doesn't as my deamons don't work like that"
"if they are deamons then they msut so I win"
"no you don't, anyway my deamons/vampires/faeries use theier magic swords to chop up your witch hunters"
"No as my witchhunters all have machine guns firing gold/silver bullets blessed with the tears of christ/the emperor/the ashley twins and wear armour imune to all magic attacks"
etc etc etc, i.e. it is even easier for a shadow war rp to get into a wanky irresistable force vs imovable object situation than even the wankiest of future tech RPs.

I would get involved in this thread but IC wise i would have no other position than the immediate obliteration of Saneless and while that might be fun for me i doubt if it would be anyone else. One thing i would say is that unless you already have soem IC background of dealign with this sort of thing it would be more than a bit wanky for a national government to immedatly udnerstand what is goign on so appart from Saneless actually telling you ICly that he was involved you would have no idea about who has been emptying your mental health insitutions.
