New Dornalia

The last one was so cluttered, I may as well make a new one. An ongoing project to help clarify things for people I RP with.
WARNING: Psuedo-science ahead. Hard-scifiers: I know this won't work in real life--I just need background, capice?
Also, this is SIC/OOC.
WEAPONS:
Demolisher Guns--
Derived from Warp Cannons acquired from Chronosia, the Demolisher Gun itself is a modified version of the concept. It relies on the entropic energies of the Warp to deal damage to opponents by focusing powerful energies using the Mathers Matrix (named after the techie who accidentally gave birth to the Demolisher Gun by accident).
The Matrix itself focuses high amounts of energy through channels in a solid-state crystal made of Elerium and other classified materials to send out a highly focused and energetic beam that, upon impact, opens a hole to the Immaterium due to the force of the impact upon the energies in the beam. This hole in the Immaterium causes violent Warp energies to be unleashed, reacting with the beam itself to cause violent detonations at the string level.
Recent upgrades to New Dornalian power systems have eliminated the issues with fueling these beasts, which require strong currents to control the volatile energies being harnessed. However, their incredibly unstable construction limits them to slow fire at best (though New Dornalians tend to bring plenty of ships, and perform massed volley fire), though they are very, very accurate....
Comes in sizes of various types, including the Duplex Drive Demolisher Gun (D3G) which is meant to provide a more powerful gun similar (in principle) to the Yamato Cannon or the Huntarian Axial Laser. It is projected to offer greater control over the intensity of the beam, enabling it on higher settings to presumably cut through lesser ships or stations, shielded or not....mostly fitted onto the Chuck Norris and Drama Casserole Ships, a lesser version known as the Super Warp Cannon is fitted onto the Mao Zedongs.
Ion Cannons--
Fire charged beams of Ionized energy, used to capture enemy vessels or disable them for a mission kill.
People's Hammer Antimatter Torpedoes--Mk. 2
Derived from the previous generations of People's Hammer Antimatter torpedoes, this version was created because simply put, the old ones were not good enough.
The People's Hammer series itself uses a simple mechanism. Equal amounts of antimatter and dense matter, usually lead or neutronium, are placed in the torpedo. They are placed as binary agents, and seperated by a forcefield. When fired, the torpedo uses guidance technology and limited hyperdrives to head to its target. Once there, it can be either remotely detonated, which shuts off the field at a distance from the foe, or impact detonated, whereupon the People's Hammer slams into the foe and a vibration sensor onboard disables the field.
Current weight is about five metric tons; this baby was based off the old Tallboys from World War II, which served as a guide for the designers at the Ft. MacAllister weapons laboratory. Tradeoffs are that due to its size, it tends to move somewhat slower than its predecessor; however, it does have onboard shielding suites and guidance technology.
People's Scythe--
Based on the popular People's Hammer, this version is modified with dense materials and detonated to produce an unstable singularity that lasts for a short time and uses a strong gravitational field to suck opponents in.....
This torpedo is actually quite fast, compared to the People's Hammer Mark 2, despite upgrades to payload.
Conventionals, Ions, Steel/Earth Dragons--
These are elongated torpedoes based on the Star Wars design, but modified to accept a higher payload and with better attributes (and a less dorky design).
Conventionals use a material known as taishonium, a high explosive that was based on the atomic warheads used in the traditional proton torpedo. Taishonium itself is a fancy name for a cocktail of Elerium-115 (OOC: Inspired by X-Com, comes for that extra kick of energy and ultraviolence), Uranium-238, and assorted "Future Atomics" (OOC: My catchall for powerful radioactive materials found in FT that are dramatically more explosive than Uranium or Plutonium, whatever they may be. Take your pick.). These have relatively average speed, with average turning.
Ion torpedoes switch out the Taishonium explosive for what is essentially a Future Atomic explosive with a few other components (classified at this time, reportedly including a focusing device) that generates ionized energy as a byproduct.
Thanks to the Huntarian Alliance, these now come in transphasic variants.
Steel and Earth Dragon Rounds are made to fit in standard launchers.
Steel Dragon is essentially a modified conventional torpedo. Using a timed or remote fuse, it detonates, dispersing a number of smaller rockets which contain nanites programmed to eat armor in an uncontrolled "gray goo" reaction. If it impacts upon a target, however, the nanites are still programmed to recognize the impact and begin the appropriate attacks. The Earth Dragon, meanwhile, is similar, but turns the Anaconda launcher, in effect, into a giant shotgun firing both a number of small explosive charges or superacclerated 00 buckshot. A post-Mirfak invention.
EVA Mark 2
To facilitate a lessened dependence on manpower and to provide for better quality vessels, automated systems were given an upgrade. This upgrade entails further responsibilities given to Gracie and AI drones around the ship, mounted with the natural kill-switches should someone try to hack into them. These include targeting, loading, and assistance in many mundane tasks, leaving Humans to perform command and control, as well as security.
Also, the nanite healing elements are being upgraded to heal much more quickly and more efficiently.
Seperable Sections-
Easily detachable sections are included in all current production runs of People's Navy vessels, to prevent the spread of infection by plague-forces (i.e. Kythons, Chaos).
Abblative Armor, Temporal Shields--
All New Dornalian vessels come with two layers of defense.
Temporal Shields are the first line of defense. Developed using backengineered technologies from the Nirai Kanai site, the shield itself is an energy field that distorts time around it, and can be even used in emergencies for limited movement. The exact mechanism is being researched, but it is presumed a kind of combined system using gravity and interdimensional energies of some sort is used to create the dilation effect, though at this time it is unclear.
This time distortion field has the effect of dramatically slowing down and even stopping physical ammunition and energy shots. EA Fields purchased from the Abh Empire (known as RA Fields in New Dornalian parlance) have improved their efficency by enabling the feedback from kinetic energy produced by impacts from physical attacks to be channeled into ship systems. In combat, this is often done to dramatically "harden" the shields by allowing for a near infinite feedback loop that ensures shield integrity. Of course, energy weapons are not included in this recycling power.
Should this system fail, then a second layer of defense, abblative armor, is used. This involves a metal sheath that is deployed all over the ship to reinforce its hull armor. The material itself is classified, but notably incredibly durable...
Point Defenses--
Often comprised of clusters of Gauss miniguns used to defend against enemy torpedoes. Will be upgraded.
Amethyst Stealth Detection System--
Uses a microwave field and a tracking laser array. The Amethyst broadcasts a microwave field some distance out from the ship, and then the tracking lasers are used to detect any gaps in the field that would normally be caused by most common types of cloaking devices. This system is hooked up with conventional sensors to avoid confusion with uncloaked vessels, allowing Amethyst to ignore conventional vessels and focus on gaps where cloaked vessels are.
Singularity Reactors--
The only reactors powerful enough to run the various systems on the Mao Zedong and other vessels. Based on a design imported from the Whyatican Minbari, they produce anti-matter as a waste product. Augmented by E/RA Field hookups.
ToLa-4a Anaconda System
Drawing upon the inspirations of the Warhammer 40k derivative game "Battlefleet Gothic" and its "Spine Guns," and the numerous concepts for "smartguns" with flexible barrels introduced in movies such as Aliens, the Anaconda is a new system meant to increase the accuracy of the standard proton torpedo or any such torpedo being fired.
The concept centers around a standard turret, fitted with a tube with two magnetic rails and a flexible end. The concept centers around the torpedo being repllicated, loaded into a drum capable of carrying 10 torpedoes, and then being rotated into place and being launched out of the tube at accelerated speeds, before moving on its own power. A sabot used to be used to cushion the torpedo, improvements in the flexible rail system have rendered it unnecessary. The flexible end is meant to increase the accuracy of the turret. The end works by movement using Leninite Steel Cables to steer the end in the direction of a target, aimed using a system of targeting lasers and microwaves to pinpoint the target's location. The ends are adjusted by as much as 30-35 degrees to ensure maximum accuracy within reasonable considerations for the torpedo inside the tube, working with any onboard guidance system on the torpedo to help ensure the weapon hits home.
Replicator technology is integrated into each turret to allow for quick reloading of torpedoes, using a unit large enough for making torpedoes linked to the ship's power systems, or powered by an auxiliary battery good for 36 hours. This effectively ensures that, provided with a constant power supply and easily convertible materials (such as waste, scrap metals or explosives; we are working on improved versions that will utilize more materials--newest versions eliminate this requirement entirely), a constant flow of torpedoes is possible. However, special torpedoes with volatile substances like the People's Hammer Mark II are still made by specialty labs and loaded manually, to ensure safe handling.
