Green Hawk

OOC: I know this isn't how fact books work, but I was hoping that people could both see how I rp as well as learn about my nation. If you have any questions just ask both OOC or IC. Also, if you have any suggestions on my rping that would be great because I don't want to mess up anyone's story because I did a noobish thing.
IC:
A tall, slender man stood in front of a podium with a green hawk statue on the front. Even though they are hidden form view a camera crew sat behind a large T.V camera recording the speech. The man at the podium is the leader of Green Hawk, a nation that recently rose from a 3rd world nation to an industrial power. His skin is pale thanks to the cold weather of the nation he leads.
“Good evening, my name is Thomas Glower. I am the leader or President as most of you are used too, of Green Hawk. My- sorry, I mean the nation of Green Hawk is not new to this world, but this is the first time we have had the power to influence this world we share,” He shifted the papers in his hand as to look like he didn’t know what to say next.
“As you would have guest our nation is still growing and more details will be given on this said program of our- sorry again, I mean the nation of Green Hawk. For now this introduction shall do. I just hope there is a enough people watching this in order for the governments of the world to see Green Hawk’s existence,” Thomas said with a smirk.
“I’ll give you some basic information for now,” He switched papers. “The Allied States of Green Hawk has a population of 5 million. Green Hawk was a 3rd world power, but thanks to the hard working middle class we now have a growing economy. Also, Green Hawk's national animal is the bird of prey and its currency is the wing.”
“The full name is The Allied States of Green Hawk. There are five states in total: Eagle, Hawk, Vulture, Penguin and Owl."
"Our government works in four branches: The President who represents the people of Green Hawk to the world which is me and my cabinet, who is elected of course also, the President can over see Congress’s actions. President’s basic job is to enforce the laws and has the power to veto laws."
"Then there is the Congress, which is made of five elected members from each state. They make the laws and over see what I err… the President does. They can make new laws and must approve certain things before I can take action, like declaring war."
"We then have the Court Branch, which over sees both the President’s and the Congress’s actions. Finally we have the most powerful branch, the people. If at anytime the people of Green Hawk doesn’t like the actions of an elected official(s). They can vote and if the majority says so, that person will be replaced right away, with NO exceptions,” Thomas said the no very powerfully as to stat how much power Green Hawk’s civilians have over the government.
“More broadcasts with more information shall air in the up coming days. If any government leaders have any questions or just want to make contact with us can do so after this. Good day.” Thomas said in his final note. The red light flick off to show the camera wasn’t recording anymore and he stopped smiling right away.
“Damn, my mouth hurts from all that smiling.”
