Toopoxia
01-05-2007, 19:15
(OOC: This is a continuation of my former Civil War RP which died off a couple of months back...)

I have been asked time and again, why the goverment maintains its strict rule over Toopoxia, and I have given the same answer each time, the result of liberty is anarchy.
-Supreme Minister David Du'Font, RIP

A loud roar followed by the sequential explosions of the bombs dropped by the P2 Fighter, it was followed by the thousand screams of the Naibe residents who fled from the Town hoping to avoid the follow-up attack by the Corporations soldiers, it was just too late, they had seen the same attacks take place in Banini Sulief and a harsh gas attack on the former capitol of Volitaia.
IndentIt was down to this experience that the Naibe peasents were quickly able to drag themselves to defensive positions and begin the defence of Naibe, it was all over rather quickly, in the dark times of Anarchy the Organisation didn't wish to overspend their few soldiers, the Naibe counter offensive was followed by a vast retreat of Organisation soldiers.
IndentThe operation had not quite gone to plan, the HQ Companies were now falling back amongst other fearful soldiers, they had to keep moving under the harsh sun of the Toopoxican desert, only for their return home to be shunned by the hundred gun wall of the Organisations last vestule, the remote factory outside of Volitaia.

The Factory had seen better days, but no-one could say that the appearance of the hellish landscape mined into oblivion was not inspiring in some way, the fierce nature of this work driven enslaved populace under the watchful eyes of Syrus Mensk, his Trench coat studded with Iron chips and his bald head grimaced always into anger, he adjusted the patch over his eye removing the large scar that was there before.
IndentHe turned to see the board of weakling scientists and advisors, shadowed by an aura of flame caused by the molten pits below, "So, a virus? Quarentine the people, have the infected shot!" It seemed a little pointless in presenting this to Syrus, his position on those unable to work was clear.
IndentOne of the scientists coughed causing all eyes to face him, "Ummm, yes, I'm a nutritionist but I've been told by doctor Regus on the disease." Syrus growled, he wasn't particularly interested, "The Virus has infected 1% of the population with the other 99% being naturaly immune, symptoms include increased sensory abilities, increased muscle mass, chronic pain to the torso and ribs and eventual death." Syrus wasn't much a man for science, but even he understood the benefits of this virus.
IndentSyrus flicked his sight between the Scientists and the Working pit below, "Do you mean, down there, we have a veritable army of super soldiers?" Syrus' face widened, his expression turning to glee, he had heard stories of the fierce Cap Pols, and now without trying the Toopoxicans had an army.
IndentOne of the scientists stood, she was a rather meek looking doctor with thick glasses which looked like they had been reclaimed from a dead slave worker, "Not quite, sir, you see the increased muscle mass whilst rather showy is not worth much without the proper training, there is also the pain, which we can control with morphine but at the loss of all extra senory bonus and much of the strength." The scientist sat, she looked at the fierce Syrus as he held back his own anger at having lost the chance to field such great warriors.
IndentSyrus sat, "Still, we can hammer out this defect, have all those unable to bare the virus made illegal to breed, strike food to the infected and begin dispatching morphine." Another shot of flame silhoueted Syrus against the window, he waited for the advisors to slowly leave the room before pulling a thick book from a nearby shelf, it listed the far eastern arts of warfare, he knew that one of these could help supress the pain.

(OOC2: I'm hoping no-one'll call godmod, I'm not creating godlike super soldiers, they're just super soldiers, and I know that a virus isn't the best way, I'm more interested in the story.)
