Welcome to the Niat Factbook. This fact book is about the True Empire of Niat and covers the most important information about the origins, the government, the military, the economy and the culture of the nation. I would like for everyone to please read it if they are going to be working closely with my nation. Please not that most of this stuff is for a reference and can be used in role play. Many aspects of the fact book are rather long and might be a bit cumbersome to read.

For those of you who want to skim it for important information: I would like you to pay close attention to the military and economic pieces of information. As well as be mindful of my latest updates and consult the other entries, such as the map of Niat and the works about the military bases. This fact book is meant to be used in conjunction to those and I would prefer if you spent the time to read it and examine it carefully before considering possible action against the nation, especially those related to military action.

However, if you choose to read this entire fact book, I welcome you to it. This has a lot of detailed information about the nation, the people and just about everything you will see within Niat. I hope to update it frequently and add plenty of information to it. Please feel free to post comments and suggestions.

The nation of Niat begins with thirty small regions that originally made up Nanoasia. A regional name that at first mocked the unimportant and peaceful origins of thirty small nations.

The people of Nanoasia arrived most likely by boat to the islands around three thousand five hundred years ago. The peaceful people were fishers that broke free from a territory nicknamed Niaji Asiaji or ‘Second Asia’. The people were poor and weak. Though they brought their culture and beliefs with them when the arrived on the southern part of Nanoasia. Bandynlorcerach was the first place in which the people began to settle down and they built small communities along the waters edge, afraid to enter the jungles of Bandynlorcerach. Soon Cerghaormbursay and Rilnalkalvera were built up the same way Bandynlorcerach were. The people had begun to spread as a unified group throughout the coasts of Nanoasia.

Using bamboo as the key component in houses they built sturdy homes with strong bamboo foundations to keep them high above flood waters or storms. The structures were unlikely to collapse even in typhoon force winds. The houses exhibited an unusual central beam supported by a network of props that were bundled together in pillars. The houses were then covered in mud and more bamboo for a solid floor that was then lined with clay or a putty-like mixture of mud and clay. The houses stood strong against the winds and raging waters. The people would store fish under the house in bamboo and wicker made nets. The fish would be cooled and kept fresh in sea water. Typically the fish would only stay alive long enough for a day or two before they would be pulled from the net and cooked for dinner.
The people lived a simple life and the sea’s bounty gave them plenty to eat. However this is were the first culture of Niat began to develop. The display of fish and option of choosing your own meal. The best fishers would stock their homes with quick fish that were delicious and still alive. Poor fishers would often resort to spearing and cooking them. It became a social status to be able to choose your own meal at leisure and have the preservation of the fish for when needed.

In harsh times the excellent fishers would never be without food and they could keep many fish inside pools of water or in nets. As time went on the captivity of fish was seen as style of living. About 300 years after the arrival of the first fishers was the time when the houses receded from the beach edge as fish were preserved inland and fisheries and ponds. With the move into the forests the technology of the fishers increased. Bamboo houses became replaced by wood houses with elaborate stone walls and fisheries. Still the people fished for a primary source of food for about another fifty years.

At least three thousand years ago however the people began to clear the forests and carve their way into the islands. Farmland and raising of livestock and crops replaced the coastal fishing in time. Though fish remained a key part of the diet, but the introduction of meats and grains, fruits and vegetables began to create a larger palette. The houses changed from wood to brick, a sign that masonry had been adopted from other nearby countries or perhaps developed independently within Nanoasia.

The brick houses were fired with distinct white brick that stood out. The clay of Nanoasia, while abundant was a rather unusual pigment and hardened well. Though it wasn’t long until all the old houses of Nanoasia were brick. Though the technology soon vanished as the governments broke down and the first of four major wars broke out. The earliest major war was with Ildsamaldturo, but most centered around Rilnalkalvera’s action.

However, before the first of the four wars the earliest history of Nanoasia was a rich tapestry of mythological beasts and great fears. Strange ‘Danso’ creatures would appear from the jungles and beckon women and children into the jungle. These creatures called Danso were a terrifying creature that could appear as a loved one, a wild animal or a horrific beast with long ears and claws covered in scaly skin. The Danso were so feared that early writings describe them as being the worse thing ever and the only thing keeping the weak political structure together. At that time a chief would rule a community and keep all social issues solved. Such things at law and rights were the decision of the chief. If the chief lost pull with the people they would be replaced usually peacefully.

The Danso seemed to proliferate a large amount of attacks on people in Ildsamaldturo. One report mentioned that the chief watched as his own daughter was ripped from his arms by the beast’s claws and he ran for his life as she was ripped apart by the beast. A old report showed that a woman had been found brutally and forcefully raped and killed, literally with her arms and legs ripped from her torso. Drenched in blood and reeking of her sex the chief ‘Anshao’ said he had raped his own daughter, but that he did not commit the crime.

Anshao would go down in history as the reason why his wife Paomami of Rilnalkalvera would start on a path set to war. Though other reports from that time period made out the Danso to be a collection of other tribes of people from within the jungles that were bent on their own gain. Nevertheless, a gang called the Danso exist today. Among the most feared organized crime syndicates in history, they say that the origins of their brotherhood exists with Kanst of Ildsamaldturo, son of Gsani and brother of Anshao.

First Wars

When Anshao of Ildsamaldturo was accused of the rape and murder of his own daughter he blindly accepted it. He however fought the consequences of his wife, Paomami of Rilnalkalvera. The two were split and the two groups of people split up and headed to war.

Anshao who was called a murderer and rapist however told his guilt, but few believed him. Anshao was a master fisher and an excellent provider with a good family and high expectations of his children. The existence of the Danso was more then enough for the people to belief that Anshao had been controlled into believing it.

However, his wife left him for Rilnalkalvera. During that time a second murder happened, his son was found the same way as his daughter. Though this time it happened in plain sight of Anshao and his brother Kanst who had gone to aid him. Overnight Anshao’s hair turned white and he became an old man. Kanst rallied with Anshao’s people and took up the roll of mouthpiece for Anshao. Overcome with grief at the death and rape of his precious son in front of him he pined away for a year.

The following spring Paomami returned with a group of warriors that slaughtered Anshao’s people and after the loss of life was so great that the waters of his home was tainted red, Anshao came out from his home, a frail and weak man. He yelled at Paomami and declared that she would be sacrificed for her actions. Paomami accepted and Anshao ordered her death in front of Ildsamaldturo’s survivors and Rilnalkalvera’s warriors. The death of Paomami would end the bloodshed for only a short while.

Reinforcements arrived just three weeks later from Fanuti, to the east of Anusoti that had come to Bantat to assist Anshao. The Rilvalkalvera’s warriors who were about to leave were slaughtered in the night at their camps by the cold blooded and furious Fanuti warriors. Anshao died soon after and the Fanuti warriors sailed to Rilvalkalvera, where they were slaughtered in kind.

For years each warring nation would send a force of around 1000 or 1300 warriors to the other side and rampage the land. Total losses each time, but the population fell by 50% in just 10 years. Soon the aging Fanuti chief stepped out in front of Rilvalkalvera’s warriors and shouted that he wished to stop the senseless bloodshed. Paomami’s brother and chief of all of Rilvalkalvera was with the warriors that day. Together they sat down and ended a long and bloody war conflict that had cost Nanoasia over 240,000 lives in a senseless war.

Rilvalkalvera was home of the largest and most advanced people of Nanoasia. However Rilvalkalvera was constantly at war with other parts of the region ever since its infancy. Rilvalkalvera was a lush and rich land, will bountiful rivers, plains, mountains, lush forests and plenty of brooks and water supply. The weather was pleasant year round and it was unlikely to suffer much hardship.

Rilvalkalvera had a hunter/gatherer warrior system with a few intellectuals at the center of the communities. Rilvalkalvera was often at bloody and extended periods of warfare amongst themselves and other tribes on all sides of the islands. The first wars of Nanoasia were largely involving Rilvalkalvera and it was fair enough to say that every conflict between islands was involved with skirmishes with Rilvalkalvera’s warriors.

Rilvalkalvera had political power change many times in a year, so much so that the history held by the few intellectuals is very hard to trace, most of the writings are unable to show the leadership of a single person longer then a season or more in a community of tribes or on any large scale. Giving an indication of the violent removal of unwanted leaders, the structure of the system was on an Alpha basis. Those who were the strongest lead, the weak died.

Largely because of this tough warrior system it has gone down in history that Rilvalkalvera’s military was always the most powerful and man for man they were the most difficult to defeat. Old reports and writings say that for every Rilvalkalvera that fell in battle, over twenty or thirty of the enemy were killed. In some cases reports of old heroes that exterminated entire villages were reported. The feared Rilvalkalvera ninjas (as they are called now) were among the most deadly. Predating other ninjas, they developed on a different basis of stealth and assassination, but on a completely different level. Rilvalkalvera ninjas (as they are called now) were feared as gods among men. The most elite of these class of super-warriors was the Prefectus clan. Imbued with superior minds and superior bodies they were feared as assassins and bodyguards. The Prefectus clan spans over 3000 years of battle-proved warriors. In fact the modern term NINJA used in Niat is based off of the Prefectus clan.

Genati Prefectus being one of the most feared of the super warriors. Described in detail in Katsuro’s History of War, Genati lead the genocidal attack with two others of the Prefectus clan that nearly wiped out the entire population of Dencerendturtia.

Before Genati’s arrival Dencerendturtia was a small federation of about 15,000 people. A similar structure existed to modern federations, but with a strong military presence. Dencerendturtia’s warriors had a skirmish with the federation of Wordarinetaicer. However in the cross-fire a Rilvalkalvera woman known as Marieta Battaus was killed in an a botched assassination attempt. Outraged at his wife’s death, her husband Banti Battaus pled to Rilvalkalvera to avenge his wife’s death. Battaus, originally from Rilvalkalvera had seized power for a short time, and her cousin swore vengeance on Dencerendturtia.

After Genati arrived the preserved writings of Dencerendturtia are filled with terror as the three men moved throughout the nation. The writings of the slaughter were detailed with gruesome accuracy. Dencerendturtia sent over 500 warriors against the three men as a single unit. The pride of the small nation, they were annihilated. Better recorded in Dencerendturtia’s history, the reports of the few surviving scouts spoke of dancing fire and what appeared to be ‘a thousand silver demons flew into them’. Dencerendturtia’s pride was shattered as three men burned everything in their wake, salting the earth and leaving no woman or child behind. Genati nearly exterminated the entire population in a single season. The scant few who escaped were chased into the jungles were even fewer survived the harsh nature. To this day the Prefectus clan is seen as god-like warriors on the scale of Iyushinyu. It was once said that if Iyushinyu and the Prefectus were to ever unite it would have been the entire world instead of Nanoasia that would have fallen. Though few Prefectus survive into the modern day, the hero Shino Prefectus is one example of what those descended from Genati Prefectus are capable of.

Torkinackgarach was another nation, founded much later then the first arrivals that was involved in the early wars. Torkinackgarach unlike the other groups were a single clan at the time of arrival that was very large. Torkinackgarach became involved with several skirmishes with Rillerartas, a monarchy that opposed and mocked Torkinackgarach openly. Torkinackgarach went to war, but were ultimately decimated at the superior Rilleratas forces. Though being possibly the third or second strongest military nations at the time, Rilleratas was so far below Rilnalkalvera in terms of power it was essentially inferior to the elite Rilnalkalvera warriors and possibly on par with Ildsamaldturo.

Imperial Soldiers

Established immediately after Emperor Jau seized the throne the Imperial Soldiers are the main force that makes up the military of Niat. The military is strong and uniform with several variations on dress and gear as to fit the mission and the goal. Imperial Soldiers are highly disciplined and vigorously trained. Their high survival rate and ability to gather intelligence and perform tasks quickly and effectively are part of Niat’s revolutionary military.


Full Dress Uniform:

Head piece - Imperial Tricorne
Appearance: A black tri-pointed hat that is raised in a manner similar to a chapeau. The hat itself is beautiful fine black leather that is snuggly fit to the wearer’s head. It is adorned with decorative gold lined crests in an elliptical and fine ornate, but sensible design. The top edges of the tricorne also are lined in gold lines that accent the tricorne properly.

Body piece - Imperial Frac
Appearance: A soft purple underlying layer that is decorated with gold buttons and pins that acts as a long sleeve shirt. This layer is usually of silk or satin and is easy to put on. Over the purple shirt layer is a tight black jacket that makes a tight angle around the center of the chest that keeps it open, displaying the purple shirt and the fashionable gold buttons and elegant design. The frac is slightly grayer on the sleeves and is accented with soft inner cuffs lined into the jacket for ease of use for the wearer who’s hands are snuggly bound in the jackets tight embrace. The Frac is lined with black frills and an ornate design in the front that exposes the purple undershirt. Platinum designs are placed on the side of the sleeves, on the back of the frac and along all corners. The platinum design on the sleeves are encased in two beautiful purple ribbons of the same color as the shirt. Another ribbon is tied behind the jacket at the wearer’s midsection below the rib cage.

Leggings - Imperial Culotte
Appearance: White stout cotton that is form fitting and almost sensual on the legs and buttocks. They are fine culottes that are ornately designed with black embroidery of loops and an ornate overlapping design that covers from the knee up and extends with a black layer beneath the knee that is lighter, but it covered by the boots.

Gloves - Imperial Gants
Appearance: White ornate gants that extend four inches beyond the wrist, they are complimented by gold bands at the base of each finger that fits in snuggly to the user’s hand. The cuffs of the gants are flipped up and extend out of the frac with a gold thread embroidery edge that accents both the frac and the gants.

Boots - Imperial Bottes
Appearance: Strong pointed bottes that are lined with gold and have a strong and sturdy gold alloy heel. The pointed boots are covered in gold throughout the bottom of the bottes that ends in an elliptical sickle pattern that extends a quarter of an inch up past the sole of the bottes. Above the gold sole is a very dark purple leather and cloth boots that extend up to knees with a pattern that is folded and flipped down to display a platinum insignia and crest design for the outfit. The knees are wrapped in a satin wrap that is found within the bottes.

Neck - Imperial Cross
Appearance: A platinum or gold cross that is ornately designed by a precision laser cutter to read: “Paladin of God” across the horizontal bar. The vertical reads down: “Protector of Righteousness”. On the back of the cross in microscopic detail the Prayer of the Lord is engraved into the cross. Along with the images of several patron saints. The belief is that should a soldier fall in battle as long as the cross is with them they will be able to enter heaven. Though the patron saints offer protection and good luck to the soldier. The importance of the cross on the dress uniform is essential, even though it is too small and rarely visible.

Waist - Imperial Sash
Appearance: A black silk sash that is wrapped around the waist. It is used for displaying medals of honor and courage. The sash is also important to the dress uniform as it doubles as a sheath for the ceremonial dagger inside the Imperial seal sheath on the sash end that hangs always to the left and down from the waist no more then half a foot.

Weapon - Imperial/Ceremonial Dagger
Appearance: A scintillate dagger that has a very sharp diamond/scintillate blade. The edge of the dagger is a single piece of diamond that is cut with high precision to be extremely sharp. The rest of the smooth blade is laser cut titanium melted into the blade and then cut with the Imperial seal onto both sides of the blade, alongside the seal is the owners name and unit. The handle is of a scintillate alloy of a combination of gold copper and diamond dust that is wrapped and twisted into an ergonomic and easy to wield handle that is all too perfect of a weapon. The handle of the dagger is tailor-made to the users hand and can function as a real weapon.

Combat Uniform

The features of the combat uniform for a soldier of Niat is a long list of technologies and defensive measures that were carefully designed and integrated into making a meaner, tougher soldier then what was previously thought of as being possible by any means. The soldiers of Niat have amazing protection from almost any threat on the battlefield. Including nuclear, chemical and biological attacks as well as gunfire, shrapnel, fire and other threats. The Niat soldier is an elite information gatherer that is able to wield various forms of weapons and act with other soldiers and commanders on a level of a single organism. In essence, the soldiers of Niat are able to survive better then other soldiers and do this all while advanced technology protects them and renders them virtually invisible on the battlefield. A Niat soldier is a deadly adversary to ever encounter, and if allied is a most reliable and powerful ally.


Helmet - PANSTAH 34 (Imperial Helm)
Information: The PANSTAH 34 is an extremely advanced helmet that turns all soldiers in the Niat army into elite effective solo operators or deadly groups. The history of the PANSTAH traces itself back to older helmets in word only. The PANSTAH 34 is a new breed of helmet for a new breed of soldiers.

Features:

ADV Generation 5 True Color EMCCD/Mosaic Night Vision and/or ADV
Generation 5 True Color Fast Switching Liquid Crystal Filter Camera:

The ADV Generation 5 True Color EMCCD/Mosaic Night Vision system is a true color night vision system that utilizes the helmet to display a true-color picture of the view around the soldier. Confined in the helmet itself as a blended in protected screen over soldier’s forehead it auto adjusts and produces real time night vision. The advantage of this system is that it does not use light intensifiers and is not subject to being overloaded by bright lights, such as explosions, flares or flash bang grenades. Another advantage is the anti-blooming on the EMCCD/Mosaic system that allows for clear pictures without bloom distorting the true image. The EMCCD/Mosaic system is best used on moving objects, the system is wonderful at preventing motion blur, allowing it to be used effectively while in movement or viewing moving targets. The drawbacks of the unit are short range and some signal to noise issues which are behind that of other monochrome systems.

ADV Generation 5 True Color Fast Switching Liquid Crystal Filter Camera system is a true color night vision system that is able to compensate in many areas for what the EMCCD/Mosaic system is unable to do. While suffering from slightly worse resolution it has better color fidelity, although it does no do motion blur very well. This system is also less power consuming and runs on no dead time like that of the EMCCD/Mosaic system. Overall these two systems are interchangeable based on need within the helmet, but it goes to serve the purpose of the mission. EMCCD/Mosaic system is more often used for urban warfare, letting the Fast Switching Liquid Crystal Filter Camera handle the field work better. Similar in function to the processing of the EMCCD/Mosaic system previously discussed is the height correction and ease to hide and internal display within the helmet. Providing the user with a real time true color night vision image for which yields maximum effectiveness for the soldier in the field.

Radiance Radiometric Ultra Sensitive High Resolution Infrared Thermal Imager:

Held within the helmet and is similar in construction to the night vision camera this shares the same viewing window as the night vision system. This lightweight, ultra sensitive 30 MPG infrared thermal imager is state of the art and is a key component of the troops night vision system. Utilizing low power circuitry and many low emission micro-circuit’s the Radiance Radiometric Ultra Sensitive High Resolution Infrared Thermal Imager is a break through in troop vision and response. With seven modes of sight the Radiance Radiometric Ultra Sensitive High Resolution Infrared Thermal Imager offers different levels of intensity. The first level is a plain IR sensor that picks up the IR emissions. However the second setting is designed to specifically find emissions typically associated with humans and give them warning beacons that are shown on screen for the soldier. This allows for them to make their own observations and point out targets even from very far distance. The third setting allows for vehicle identification, utilizing the same algorithms for finding human targets, but switched to finding hot emissions from exhausts. The fourth setting is used to view and display lower intensity returns, that dim the brightness of the IR image. The fifth is to increase brightness, suitable for night activity which amplifies the returns. The sixth setting (which can be used with others) eliminates very hot bursts or very hot targets and overlaps them with an outline and a less intense white overlap. Used for preventing distracting bursts from flares and explosions, it aids the soldier in staying focused. The seventh and final mode (which is available to be used with any of the others) allows for IR and night vision to be displayed as one on the system and faintly illuminate heat targets in the IR with true-color night vision. With this setting humans appear to be glowing whiter then normal, and heat sources also glow whiter. This can be used with the other algorithms to find and automatically put beacons for the soldier to use.

Bone conductive communications system

Using bone conduction as a way to silently receive instructions or give instructions using bone conduction as a means to have the sound come from within a persons skull. This allows for silent instruction between soldiers and commanders. Allowing for operation at a new level of command that greatly allows for being part of the communications system. The bone conduction communications system is a key part of the helmet. Utilizing several protected microphones that layer the helmet in 360 degrees the sound is sent to the users head through two circular conductive pads on the jaw that sends the sound directly into the inner ear. Using this transmitted orders can be silently received, and the surrounding battlefield can be checked for noise reduction and also sent directly into the users head. Utilizing algorithms set to gunfire and explosions or any action the user wishes to hear (such as any movement) will allow them to home in on a target and listen carefully. Also an algorithm allows for a reduced send for when incoming orders are being received, allowing the soldier to be able to intelligently receive the orders without threat of being drowned out. It can be used in high noise environments and allows for better communications of the military unit as a whole.

Protective Information Center Visor

Using OLED technology the visor will be able to display information at sharp and clear resolution to the soldier, allowing for lots of information to be quickly processed by the soldier. Allowing for full-spectrum communications to be overlaid and shown on screen. One such aspect is the task of layering. The soldier will be able to see everything within his field of view, as recorded and processed from the true color night vision sensors, the infrared sensors and real time camera sensors built into his helmet. This is then sent to the screen which allows for the soldier to see the battlefield without exposing his face. Next, the soldiers weapon can have a special sight that allows for them to quickly and easily see around corners and buildings and it would relay this information directly to the visor as a separate window that would allow the soldier to take action while not putting himself out into danger. This allows for the soldier to also mark targets with his gun to home in on and eliminate. The protective information center visor also will bring information such as maps and display friendly units within the area. This allows for more information then previously possible to be easily understood by the soldier. The outside of the visor is an
optical camouflage system that easily allows the soldiers visor and entire helmet to allow the smooth helmet in its entirety to be seamlessly projecting an optical camouflage system that renders them nearly invisible. Also the visor is able to hide the thermal emissions of the face in a way that open helmets cannot, reducing the thermal signature by 95% and allowing for no rough edges. This is a key part of the helmet that allows for IR duping and low thermal signature to better protect the soldier in harsh environments.

Full coverage optical camouflage system:
The helmet uses optical camouflage and its smooth surface that is able to project the behind view of its surroundings onto itself and reflect it. Using five 30 MPG cameras the size of a pinhole, the camera sends its digital video to a microcomputer which processes the image and adjusts for in real-time and sends the output to a combiner. The combiner projects the image sent by the computer and covers the helmet. Many combiner projections make up a single image and that image is sent onto the totally reflective beaded surface transmits retro-reflection of the combiners image through the combiner and a protective sealant over the combiner and sends the reflection to the observer. In this manner the observer sees through the person, and this can be done even while they move. Using several computer cores the camouflage system allows for movement and a very fine distortion at high speeds.

Helmet Carbon Nanotube Protection:
Using carbon nanotubes the helmet is able to greatly protect the user on a new level, unseen in previous eras of warfare. The carbon nanotubes are small dense carbon chains that are one hundred times stronger then steel. This allows for lightweight armor that is very strong. The helmet has a quarter of an inch of carbon nanotube armor that is equivolent to the strength of 25” of steel. Though under the carbon nanotube is a denser shock absorber surrounded in nanomuscle fiber that can electrically tighten in case of sudden shock (as falling or being shot) when it touches the electrically weakly charged shock absorber. This is used to protect the neck chiefly from being damaged by force. This allows for the soldier to not only survive a direct hit from an armor-piercing round, but to prevent their neck from being damaged. Even the visor is equally protected by this system, so even a direct hit will quickly be countered, usually destroying the ability of the soldier to conceal himself within the directly damaged area through damaging or destroying the combiner in the area (typically a square inch).

Economic Conditions of Niat
Niat is a collection of 30 islands that are closely interdependant on trade and creation of new goods to fuel its demand for goods and services. The goods and services are exchanged and the energy is accounted for by use of the energy credit. Currently there is no limit to the goods that can be consumed by people in Niat. For use with foreign governments in all purposes of money, money is created by Niat for foreign use. However, actual money use by the populace is no recognized or used anymore. The concept of money is laughable to the people and those use it are usually silently mocked.

Money for Use Outside Niat
The currency used for outside of Niat is actually very basic. Essentially it has a basis on gold which is often exchanged in the nation or usage through some other currency to do its business. This way makes Niat have an unbelievably high amount of wealth when dealing in terms of economic conditions and response.

The energy credit used for outside of Niat is a simple bill that is only made in amounts needed to cover economic trade and is cross-referenced. Often the money can be counted against a world bank, but such things are slightly difficult. The energy credit can be used however for importing goods from Niat. This is the only way in which money actually works. However, it should be noted that if anyone joins the technocracy or becomes apart of Niat, money used by the populace is unheard of and is archaic in nature. Abundance has removed the desire for money, and hence all the ills that go with it. Energy accounting is the only thing that is used on a national level to determine the amount produced to amount consumed and tries to maintain and equilibrium to the demands.

Businesses in Niat

All companies and work centers in Niat are based on the ability to produce. It is more often the joy and ease of working that has put production into one of satisfaction of workers and scientists. Without the need for price increasing or massive amounts of competition everything is essentially devoid of any problems for business. If you want a CD player, go ask for one. If you want a better CD player, go ask for one. If you want a sturdy CD player, go ask for one. Same applies to vehicles, though with the absence of money the standard of living is very high and very clean. Hybrids and hydrogen powered cars are amongst the most common things on the road. As things get better and better people continue to consume at the same rate and have a high standard of living, but those in international products often are said to work for the enjoyment of creating something for others. As it should be noted, products from Niat are known for their durability and efficency.

Christianity

Making up for a large portion of the northern regions of Niat the regional churches have been cleansed and many of the new texts have been purged. The religion got a shift back to the ages of long ago and a new version passed down by Iyushineyu personally that has reaffirmed many people’s beliefs and helped to promote the spread of religion. The Christians of Niat are extremely devote and attend church every day, though mass is a much more joyful and pleasant situation and usually lasts a fraction of an hour.

The Church of Niat (founded under Emperor Iyushineyu and continued by his son, Emperor Jau) is a new religious structure that differs largely from the rest of the world. Hymns, poems, readings and long periods of prayer have been replaced with readings of the original codes as a member is baptized into the Church (usually at age 18) and takes upon the religious texts and the Bible according to Iyushineyu. The entire nation of Niat is ideal for the Church of Niat and in some cases Niat can be mistaken for not having a religion at all. However, the power of the church is relative and very hands off. It maintains a soothing and highly influential religion that directly improves people’s morals and thus lives. The Church of Niat is the complete opposite of the Vatican and often is referred to having the greatest power in Niat.

Haruhiism

Making up a small, but still present religion Haruhiism is a religion that was adopted as a ‘cult religion’, but through Emperor Jau’s support of it and backing from the Church of Niat, Haruhiism took hold in a very surreal way. For more information about Haruhiism its best look into the Church of Haruhi.

Scientology

Having little hold within a technate ruled by a Emperor in a technocracy, the Church of Scientology exists on a very subtle level, with few members, but a still active church. The only Church of Scientology is found on Perentasatho.

Constitution of the True Empire of Niat

Preamble:
We, the members of the Imperial Parliament, Imperial Senate, Regional Parliament, Regional Senate and Imperial House, affirm our responsibility as leaders of the True Empire of Niat. We create these laws to recognize, supervise, fund, protect and ensure our national growth as a single being. These laws are hereby approved by all members of all parties as we announce our independence and sovereignty as Niat.

Article I - Imperial Laws

Section A

The ruler of Niat is to be recognized and chosen by the Imperial House as the Emperor/Empress of Niat.

Section B

The Emperor/Empress of Niat must be older then 10 years old.

Section C

The rights of the Emperor/Empress of Niat in further legislation is absolute. No preexisting laws may be altered, removed or changed without the governments full cooperation in all five branches.

Section D

The Emperor/Empress of Niat is not above the law.

Section D Sub-Section A

The Emperor/Empress of Niat cannot create a new law to make himself above the law or in anyways immune to Article I Section D.

Section E

All parties, government and people of Niat are to recognize the Emperor/Empress of Niat as the true leader, if they recognize a false Emperor/Empress of Niat it is treason.

Section F

Internationally the Emperor/Empress of Niat is the leader of Niat. Failure to recognize Niat in international politics or supporting another is grounds for action.

Section F Sub-Section A

The Emperor/Empress of Niat may allow for recognized officials within the government to act as the mouthpiece of the Emperor/Empress of Niat.

Section F Sub-Section B

The Emperor/Empress of Niat can revoke or grant the title of ‘Ambassador of Niat’ for international use at any time.

Section F Sub-Section C

The Emperor/Empress of Niat can revoke or grant the citizenship of anyone at anytime.

Regional Senate Laws

Section A:

The Regional Senate members are to be chosen by the regional vote of the citizens of that region. The Regional Senate members must be citizens and born in the region they represent.

Section B:

They shall hold office for no longer then 4 years.

Section C:

Removal can come earlier by Imperial House or Regional Parliament committee vote to remove a senator from office.

Regional Parliament

Section A

Elected by the Regional Senate or Imperial House.

Section B

They oversee national matters for each region and can only be removed from office by the Imperial House or by stepping down.

Section C

The Regional Parliament is under the control of the Imperial House and is the leader of all regional issues within Niat attributed to their region.

Imperial Senate

Section A

Chosen from elections from the people of Niat. They can be from any region within the nation and are able to fill the positions on the senate as needed. They are represented by the groups of people they select to be elected.

Section B

They shall hold office for no longer then four years without reelection by the people.

Section C

Though on the same power level as the Regional Senate, they do not deal with matters on a regional level, but are instead restricted to the national level.

Imperial Parliament

Section A

Elected by the Imperial Senate or Imperial House.

Section B

They oversee national matters for each region and can only be removed from office by the Imperial House or by stepping down.

Section C
They are directly under the Imperial House and are able to make minor decisions and act out the will of the Imperial House.

Argent: The codename of an elite NINJA within Niat. Known as an assassin and mercenary to the regional powers in assassination of particularly foul or evil people. Argent has never been confirmed to exist or has even had any of those targetted by him/her to ever survive. The calling card of Argent is a single note on the body that reads 'Argent'. In truth, the name Argent is a code name of a once secretive clan from Cheingawnycer that was thought to be exterminated in the Twenty Year War.

KIRA: Coming from Japanese, KIRA is short for 'killer'. KIRA is a mysterious assassin who killed much like the popularized Light Yagami (Raito Yagami) in Death Note. A terrifying belief about the assassin known as KIRA is that whenever a murder is commited signs are recorded, however KIRA works on a different manner. Using heart attacks to kill his/her enemies. The creation of a real life KIRA was only bound to be a matter of time, but such a killer has detectives baffled, wishing that someone could figure out how KIRA is commiting murder.

Medical reports confirm that the victims of KIRA suffer heart attacks and die painful, but brief deaths that are describable only by medical doctors and horror fans. "The victim was found lying on the ground, but the intense mental trama overloaded his system and he died of fear or extreme terror. Analysis leaves little to explain the cause of such terror, but people surrounded him have something entirely different to say. Claims that the victim was screaming and was crying that he didn't want to see anymore, shouting and screaming as if consumed by some unseen horror he fell to the ground and immediately died." KIRA is unseen and at least 70 murders of this manner have been said. A trend seems to exist though, those of a specific religion are often the target of KIRA. Haruhists are eager to shout out that such crimes are by their God and that the 'ultra detective' will solve the case.

Though this leaves many more questions then answers, KIRA is a hero in the eyes of Haruhists for keeping their God (Haruhi) happy and 'asleep'. Claimed to have the powers of God, or infact that she is God. Haruhi is an unseen celebrity that has been depicted (but never proven) to actually possess supernatural powers. The Japanese novels and series about Haruhi is seen as a glorious recreation and exaggeration by the Haruhists that try to explain the complex mysteries of their faith mixed with this KIRA. Steeped in religious text and other media, KIRA (and many Haruhi popularized anime) were created by Haruhi as a response to her whims.
