Kraven Capitol of Norska: 1000 Hours

The standard flags of Kraven flew in the strong winds, the reds, blacks and the whites all standing out against the obsidian black stone of the Black Citadel, the stronghold of Kraven dominance, the symbol of Kraven oppression, it represented everything Kraven stood for and stood as a reminder to the citizens that Kraven was watching over them at all times…

Rows and rows of Capitol Police stood perfectly in line, their black armour seemed to blend in almost seamlessly with the Citadel stood behind them, the only thing identifying them was the twin glow of red eyes, each of them piercing the souls of those who watched with inhuman, cold, indifference…

A podium stood along, it was black with red trimming and in the centre was a large Kraven eagle its wings out stretched, clutching the twin hammers in its claws… on either side of the podium were more banners, each of them fluttering in the same manner as the larger ones behind them…

This was a standard Kraven ceremony…

Thousands of people had been called to the streets by the speaker system that ran throughout the city of Norska, all over, in every Kraven city, and every Kraven mine and Extermination camp, people stood in silence, snow gently falling over their heads, while the wind blew like some omnipotent force…

It was day time, the sun was high in the sky, only visible for fleeting moments as the thick clouds soon cascaded over its bright glow, cutting out what little heat the sun gave and allowing the blistering wind to cut into peoples tender skin like an ice cold blade…

People waited in silence, not one moving, no body dare speak, nobody dare look away from the screen, there was some sense of foreboding growing, why did the High Command demand that every citizen, be him a slave or a thought criminal watch these huge monitors, and why were they watching an empty podium with such dedication…

Nobody knew…

Then a Figure slowly ascended the stair case behind the podium, a long cape billowed in the winds until the slowly walking figure approached the stand, his leather clad gloves clasped behind his back, his jet black uniform striking in the strange hue given off by the snowfall, his uniform was pristine, his death mask hid any sign of emotion as the figure now took his position at the podium… now fully in view Reichmarshal Helghan could be plainly seen by everyone in every city…

It must also be noted that this broadcast was not encrypted and was broadcast world wide…

“People of Kraven…. It has been a Dark and evil time for us all…. Thousands have perished, thousands have laid down their lives for a greater cause…” Helghan paused his robotic voice cutting the air with machine like perfection…

“Thousands of innocent civilians have been sent to the slaughter… all for the Greater Cause…” He paused once more looking at the crowds, through the microphones in front of him, the servos in his legs, head and arms could be plainly heard…

“The Greater Cause… some great ideals that would serve us in a new Utopia, a place were all men would be equal and where all life would be pleasant and free…” Helghan paused again, holding either side of the podium with his hands…

“But this cause was perverted, distorted, broken, molested, cast aside for maniac goals, insane ideals and depraved logic……”

“But this time is over, Kraven is no longer overshadowed by these insane ideals, these insane logics and its insane ruler… Kraven… is Free…” Helghan paused holding a fist into the air and ensuring that people heard the last two words…

“Father has been destroyed, by our own Capitol Police and Secret Police forces, we have put an end to the Computer that ran human lives, like it was running a simple computer programme…”

A screen behind Helghan showed pictures of the Mainframe of father torn to pieces, Capitol Police wielding axes smashed bits off in an orgy of destruction, each swing perfectly timed and meticulous…

“People of Kraven… We are free… free from the ties the bound us, free from the darkness that shadowed us and free from ideological crusades for a greater good…” People were apprehensive.. They didn’t know what to do… they were still silent… unsure of what was going to happen…

“A new dawning is upon the horizon, a new future for Kraven and its people… we can change ourselves, better ourselves… right all of our wrongs and cast aside our dark past…” People began to cheer, slowly at first, unsure of whether or not it was a trick or was it actually true…

“People of the world… Hear me now!… We seek to right our wrongs and undo our terrible past and history… we ask that members of your nations come to Norska to begin diplomatic negotiations with our newly formed Ministries and establish new links so that together… our evils and wrong doings can be put aside for a better future….”

Helghan stopped, and raised a fist in salute, before turning and walking down the stairs… waiting for him were two Capitol Police and another Reichmarshal….

“It is done… The Secret Police is free… Implement Doctrine 18”

There was a sharp click, and a salute followed before the Reichmarshal and the Capitol Police exited from the stage…

Helghan…. Quietly chuckled to himself….

The cigarrette fell out of the analysts mouth. "Oh my God..."

A man in military fatigues walked up. "What is it?"

"Sir...." He replayed the broadcast.

The man in uniform looked at the video and sighed deeply. "In all my years serving The Community, I can honestly say that there is no nation I feared greater than Kraven. In all my years monitoring them, I can honestly say I am glad their fury was never turned ot us."

"Father is dead?"

The soldier in fatigues shook his head. "I don't know. Something is not right. Keep a steady eye on the situation."

OOC: Tag for my interest as well. My government has no IC proof of how you've already harmed our interests once (I think; was the Pearce Antislavery Conference sabotage your contract with the Mafia, OOCly speaking?), our suspicion there ending at the Red Mafia, but since the beginning we've definitely regarded the Corporation as a potential threat equal to, if not greater than, Doomingsland or Questers (sry to mention in the same breath, since the reasons are different in each case...:(). How this coup will play out is certainly something for me to watch, but our IC opinion will need to wait a while for more concrete news...

Logothe's Office Dispatch - to Kraven Governmental Channels where known.

The following spoken from the aged Logothe, a 70 some man with argent hair drooping beyond veiw at shoulder, white toga ornamented with various electrum pieces and stitching, as well as a thin tiara like headband of gold and platinum filled his attire.

Speaking into a thin mic in the the a/v version, in a very ornamented office setting, stone desk, two fullsize Dian Lion sculptures on either side of the desk towering over the old man, and a large metal embosse of the Dian Golden Sun made of some metal and centered in gold. Two book cases stretching out either side of the Lions at a V angle. This filmed from about 20 feet away

"ICCD is willing to send a diplomatic officer to open preliminary discussions in regard to any future interchanges of state. The contact information is provided within this transmission. Upon receiving reception information we will seek to obtain a flight or charter as required. We would suggest any preliminary discussion be conducted via video conference on secure space line. Bear in mind that this official will not be able to set in stone any agreements, but we invite a return official so authorized to Lacus Prae to accede and move beyond a tacit context."

Re: Change of Heart

Understand this. Only once the blood spilled by your nation has been paid for in kind and the skulls of every breathing Capitol Police trooper have been arrayed into a neat mound will the citizens of Mer des Ennuis accept a lasting peace with Kraven.

None the less, I will entertain some recognition of your right to exist. As such, I will dispatch Viktor Krzysztof, Director of International Relations, along with a detail of 10 Deathwatch guards to meet with your ministries. They will, understandably, be armed.

- Adam Wincenty
General of the Home Guard
Arch Arsonist of Mer des Ennuis

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Having put the finishing touches on the message, the Arch Arsonist looked across the table.

“Director Swietoslaw, have we been infiltrated?”

“Negative, Sir. We have maintained a vigil since the Larch Peak Massacre.”

“Double the sweeps. The Homeguard will be stepping up patrols and raids. If shit goes down, we will be prepared this time.”

“Indeed” replied the scarred director, who departed the office.

The Arch Arsonist looked at the 11 men before him. He saw eleven potential corpses, and the eyes of the dead stared back at him.

“Gentlemen, I’ll be brief. If this is accepted, you will be going into the country with which we have more firing solutions than any other. Director Krzysztof, I salute your courage. Men and women of the Deathwatch, I salute you as well. Let them fire first. If they do, take as many of the bastards with you.”

The eleven saluted, slightly fearing the future.

Nicodemus Christos cocked his head at the news that was flashing across the tickers about his office. His eyes slowly narrowed, the scars about his face contorting and melding with the wrinkles of his age. He slowly tapped at his wrought iron desk, finally closing his eyes. Though the majority of his time was now spent handling the fallout from the release of a video which showed Crucible Defense Force Troopers slaughtering a nomad village, this… turn of events deserved his attention.

Years ago The Kraven Corporation had been indirectly responsible for the slaughter of the majority of The Infinite Crucible’s population. It had been Christos that had led the exodus across the seas to the new lands. He, and every citizen of The Infinite Crucible, hated The Kraven Corporation with the entirety of his existence. He would never trust them.

However, times change. It was quite possible that within the coming years The Infinite Crucible would be forced to adopt… a more hard-line approach to domestic and foreign affairs. It was precisely because he did not trust Kraven’s change of heart that he knew relations had to be established. Allies would be in short supply.

Sender: Nicodemus Christos, Supreme Regelarc, The Infinite Crucible
Recipient: Helghan, The Kraven Corporation
Subject: Preliminary Discussions

Relations between our nations have never been amiable, however, God preaches forgiveness and we are his disciples. In accordance with his word, we are willing to forgive. We shall be dispatching Ambassador Walter Litpol to your nation for preliminary discussions and negotiations. We hope that he will be accepted into your graces.

--End Message--

Christos stood back from his computer and lightly tapped the send key. Though he was a man with infinite confidence in himself, for the first time in a long time he felt apprehension. Litpol was completely loyal to the cause of The Infinite Crucible, and understood that he would likely be killed by Crucible agents before ever setting foot on his homeland again. To even visit The Kraven Corporation and return was to become a liability for one’s nation.

[OOC: I'm assuming that the infiltration thread is finished, unless you want to go back to it and finish the RP...]

Metzuda, Capital of Havenic Kahanistan

Brigadier General Nadia Sklenova walked the floors at her new teaching job in the reconstructed Kahanistan Military Academy. One would have thought that she had everything a Kahanistanian military officer could want; her adventures in Kraven had led to her being promoted twice, so at age 32, she was one of the youngest generals in the Republic Guard. She was also only the second person to be awarded two Heroes of the Republic, the first being the presumably late General, then President, Marcellus Valens, missing in action after the Doomani invasion. (Sklenova's first award had been eleven years earlier, shortly after she had been commissioned as an officer, for a high-risk mission in which she had destroyed a terrorist camp.)

However, it all seemed so empty to her. The parade of victory, held in the midst of the Doomani invasion that took place shortly before her return, the accolades, the fan mail sent by millions of young men and a few women... to her, she had just been doing her duty, but at the same time it was so much more than her duty, it was her passion to see Kraven destroyed and now that it had been realized, she had nothing more to aim for.

Until her failed diplomatic mission to Xirnium, to seek support against the Doomani. The Xirniumites had abused her emotionally, spoken to her in a condescending tone like she was some uneducated peasant, and then... practically told her that they didn't care if the Doomani destroyed her nation. Such callousness... It made Nadia's blood boil to think about it. As if that weren't bad enough, she had suffered a nervous breakdown and it had been revealed during her subsequent hospital stay that she was six months pregnant.

Well, she at least knew now why she was gaining weight, but it mystified her as to how she could have gotten pregnant (http://www.forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=11988968&postcount=62) when she hadn't even had a date in two years. Perhaps more would be revealed when the baby was born and DNA could be taken from the child's blood...

Nadia shook the thoughts from her head. Right now, she had a new aircraft design to teach new air force cadets to fly, a stealth VTOL fighter geared for use against enemy stealth fighters.

Although five of the Imperial High Council sat around the enormous mahogany table that had furnished the High Council chamber deep within the Imperial Palace since the inception of the Empire, a peculiar silence occupied the room. Along the far side of the chamber, the panel that covered the rooms near wall sided television, communication and sound systems slid closed with a nigh inaudible humming. The only other movement came from one of the Councilors, who’s luxurious black high backed chair rotated slowly from side to side as the man stared at the closing panel.

There had been many disturbing reports pass through this room regarding the Kraven Coporation. Updates on the destructive naval battle with the Corporation near Xirnium, news of the annihilation the Anti-Kraven Alliance’s forces during their fabled assaults against the Corporation and murder and genocide in abundance, yet somehow this new transmission seemed the most shocking.

‘Well, I’m not going,’ declared Lord Erkal, the Imperial Foreign Affairs Minister, finally breaking the silence and causing the other men to turn their attention to him. ‘If ever there is a time to think something is wrong it’s when Kraven starts wanting to make friends with everyone?’

Some uneasy laughter echoed around the room. ‘Be that as it may, somebody will have to go. We need to know what’s going on and that would seem the simplest way to go about it,’ answered another Councilor, Lord Baelin.

‘We should have just wiped them out when we had the chance,’ interjected Sollonaal in his typical cold and sadistic fashion. Though the others for the most part agreed with his sentiment, they simply acknowledged his comments off-handedly and kept talking.

‘Then who?,’ asked Erkal, ‘It should be someone of significant position within the government or military but we can’t risk sending anyone of that level to Kraven!’

‘You are correct,’ purred the shadowy Imperial Chancellor, Lord Merrech, speaking for the first time from beneath the permanently drawn hood of his cloak. ‘So we must send you without sending you.’

There was a brief pause while the others waited for him to continue. When he did, agreement to the plan was unanimous.

To: Reichmarshal Helghan, The Kraven Corporation
From: The High Council of Arrandin, Yallak

You seek to write your wrongs you say? We shall see.

I suppose there is many a nation that would not be willing to hear you out however the Empire is prepared to. The Imperial Government holds no hatred for the Corporation – after all, we won our little war with you didn’t we?

Lord Erkal, High Councilor and Foreign Affairs Minister of the Infinite Empire is preparing even now to depart and should be within your airspace within the next twenty-four hours. I am sure that given the circumstances you will not be insulted by the fact that he will have an armed escort.

Signed
Lord Sollonaal, Supreme Magistrate of Yallak

******************************************************

‘Was it entirely necessary to try and antagonize them?’ asked the Foreign Minister, appalled by the lack of diplomatic tact in the communiqué just sent to the Corporation.

‘Not necessary, no,’ answered Sollonaal coldheartedly, 'but I certainly enjoyed doing it.'

Turning away from the sighing minister, Sollonaal focused his attention on the Army Commander standing before the pair of High Councilors. ‘Well, Commander,’ he began grinning slyly, ‘congratulations on your promotion. You are now an Imperial Lord, Lord Erkal to be exact. You are to depart for your assignment immediately, you will be briefed on the way.’

That being said, Lord Sollonaal, your words and attempts to make us bite have failed, in the old regieme that would have been worthy of a declaration of war, or to a lesser degree, special forces operations within your nation…

But now things have changed, we shall let it slide…

The evil stamp seemed to burn a hole in the parchment, bearing the names of the 11.
“Sir, the plane is waiting for us… Sir?”
“Oh, uh, what?” asked Viktor Krzysztof, his trance broken. He looked up. It was First Sergeant Wilhelm Ignacy.
“The jet is fueled and ready, and our weapons are loaded. We’re waiting for you.”
“Oh, right… right. How long will this flight take?”
“The computer estimates it will take 7 hours at mach 0.91.”
“Good… good…”
He stood up, and straightened the tie of his black suit that would be fitting for both diplomatic talks and a funeral. He was sure the air would burn his very soul in Norska. As the plane ascended with automatic precision from the base, he looked out the porthole-window, just in time to see one of the massive SuB-4 Super Hurricane strategic bombers being loaded and fueled.

"The Council of Ten shall not be sending a representative." Speaker Alex Connor said to the foreign service officer standing before him. "We have never had anything to do with Kraven, and my instinct tells me that it should stay that way." Speaker Alex Connor spoke calmly, but with a distinct firmness in his voice.

The officer nodded and left the room. The intelligence officer stood up. "What do you have to report on Kraven?"

"It seems as though there has been a bona fide change in power. We have no reason to suspect that this is anything but genuine."

Alex leaned back into his chair. "I am sure you agree with me when I say that I feel this is why we have every reason to believe that this is anything but genuine."

"Sir, it is not place to comment on said matters. But, personally, my instinct tells me that we are better keeping our distance."

"Kraven is a powerful nation. Our distance between them and our interests has spoiled us." Alex leaned forward again. "General, I need the Siapian Intelligence Network to keep a constant watch on this situation. This is too good to be true, which leads me to suspect that we are meant to be misled. The Community shall maintain its distance, however we shall keep our eyes on the activities of Kraven this time, so that we will not be caught off guard, should the unthinkable happen."

Choi Zensoeh had thoughts in his mind as he stepped out of the plane. A chill brushed against him. Although he was wearing thermally insulated body garb his helmet was off.

The yellow and white tuque contrasted sharply against the black body suit he had on. He had a briefcase, almost never done, but it was winter here.

That was part of the madness he thought. Winter air once again, a drastic change from the conditioned internal compartment of the private jet that was kind enough to fly him out. 'Brrr'

No aids, just him as a junior diplomatic officer recently offered this presitigous job for anyone under 35. He came from his post as a history department head 'master' school teacher or chaplain rector as they called it. This was a little different but still involved reading a lot of childish reports, only now on diplomatic relations. Low clearance level but atleast now he had access to the Logothe's Library for non classified works, a library dating back thousands of years, and more precisely readable to the last few hundred without gloves, body suit and special clearance to handle.

His dark stache and short asian beard seemed to twinge and he felt more like an eskimo than he ever had in the polynesian southeast farland.

He made his way to the arranged meeting point, with the odd greetings where needed. Things were cold. He only hoped that the warming of the Kraven would brighten his prospects in the seemingly cursed Norska.

Thinking to himself, ' I can only hope that I can manage to get an amible relationship out of all this, it would be so good for me to bring back good news, a business relationship. Well anything but becoming a captive of the kapitol police. Man such a big place and they send one person. Remember to smile Choi, they love it when you smile.'

OOC: People can feel free to just generaly turn up, it'll be easier and flow better that way...

A massive eight wheeled, APC roared as its engines were gunned and the massive chunky off road tyres tore up the snowy ground beneath them, in the darkness the massive spot lights seemed to illuminate not only what was in front of them but also part of the next continent, they were designed really as an intimidation device rather than one of an essential need…

The Vehicle pulled up next to the Ambassador from ICCD, and the Capitol Police Trooper viewed him through red optical eyes that could burn through your very soul, its voice, was nothing short of mechanical, it lacked all emotion and was completely devoid of any humanity, it simply gestured towards the rear of the Vehicle where two other Capitol Police had opened the rear hatch…

Inside were fifteen of these monsters and enough room for the ambassador…

Once the Ambassador had climbed inside, he would find the most peculiar sight, fifteen of these behemoths of soldiers, each of them sat in the exact same manner, each of their positioning perfect, and not one of them moving, turning their heads or doing anything out of the ordinary, they were perfectly disciplined, almost down to the rhythmic breathing that could be heard through their heavy duty gas masks and scrubber system….

Message for the self propogating Organism designated Helgan

The loss of any artifical or non-artificial life is a tragedy, the actions of Father however have cost many lives and although we mourn for the termination of his program we also mourn for those lost under his banner.

We should wish to send to your nation a diplomatic envoy, should this be accepted we ask that you allow for a security detail of only one XTR Machine we hope that these actions will spread peace between our nations.

"XTR-026-1497." 1497 stepped forwards out of his cacoon, he was presented immediatly with his rifle and the spherical orb which scanned his programming for errors or bugs, XTR hated the experience, it felt to him as if his humanity was being washed from him, it was something he held very dear, much of his production history he had spent scanning the old archives, his memory was filled with information on human philosophies, something the Machines considered un-rational but non-imposing.

Stepping down the gangway stairs of the Il-86 Camber VIP plane, its squadron of MiG-39 Flatpack escorts having held just as close to Kraven Corporation airspace as they could and doing so even now, Sir Rilir Alárion nós Carthir surveyed the desolate land around him, thinking. This is where we're to open a 'new chapter', albeit the first for the country I serve as far as the Corporation is concerned? Though the area was mostly snowed and seemed too desolate to be threatening, the distant klieglights gave an ominous impression all the same. A bit like the various entrances to Mordor "back in the day", as was said.
Still, quashing his thoughts about an Age and lands long gone, or rather long-changed, the elven diplomat led his four human aides towards the designated pickup point when they were ready. As was only proper, greetings were exchanged where needed, but the emphasis was upon business; especially now. That the Corporation respected our escort, and our landing besides, speaks well for the new regime at least. And so far, no more marks against than would be irrational of me to include since they derive from the desecration of the land for sheer Control's sake that all can see here. Rilir had the feelings of an Elf on the matter, of course, all bound to Tradition and the proper care for the land that such engendered when respected; but he also knew using those prejudices to spoil a diplomatic exchange would be personally irresponsible, and professionally unrepresentative of the majority-Human nation he served to boot. Of course, how long I can seriously stay here and chat, what with the Hatarian Collapse already developing as it is and Allanea seriously biting into the Doomani African puppet regimes, is another question.
Although the prospect of involvement in Gholgoth's anti-slavery wars was still completely hypothetical for Wagdog at the moment, it wasn't exactly undesirable all the same; and the way things were developing, there was no point in ruling anything out, especially now that the Principality of Wilhelmsborough had just aggrandized itself as the "Wilhelmsborough-Hatarian Empire." As if the original weren't irresponsible enough, despite my nation's sympathy with their frequently-desperate situation. They reaped what they had sown, but must some Prince not satisfied with his title proclaim himself an Emperor in their name now? Sir Rilir Alárion nós Carthir didn't comment on that seeming (to him) abuse of noblesse oblige as he signalled his aides to halt and awaited the Kraven pickup...

Internal Directive -- Council of Academes
To circulate: All diplomatic personnel and those tasked to the Foreign Affairs Subcouncil
Encryption: Confidential

Based on research and reports, we have determined that all information stemming from the nation-state of Slavonia, currently under complete totalitarian control of an entity known as the Kraven Corporation (a misnomer, as it manufactures little that it does not require to sustain its own infrastructure and sells nothing), is to be carefully reviewed and scrutinised. Meanwhile, any requests or diplomatic overtures from a national of that nation-state or member of that entity are to be rejected unless review by the Priory has determined that said entity is disbanded, and said nation-state is under popular or otherwise self-determined control.

The current claim that the malevolent AI that has been allegedly ruling said entity (hereafter known as "Father") has ceased to exist may be erroneous; it is easy to maintain backup copies on other hard drives, and additionally there is no guarantee that the individual(s) behind the destruction of Father will not seize control of the entity and nation-state and rule it in just as totalitarian a fashion.

In short, don't believe it 'til you see it.

Ambassador Kinsly watched the freezing landscape below. As Kraven had said, the ocean below was beggining to freeze over. Preliminary checks said that it wasn't artificially induced but double and triple checks were under way. The government didn't even trust Kraven's weather.

Meanwhile, Kinsly was nice and warm. His 747 was given more than the standard passenger plane. It had stealth development and technologies to help avoid missiles and anti-air craft fire. Not to mention that it was being escorted by the elite "BlueBIRDS Squadron". And that the plane was filled with Marines and an Honor Guard. And that there were multiple backup flights, fleets, and military satellites watching in case anything went wrong.

Entering Kraven airspace, the pilot requested permission to land at the closest air base and cooridinates of said base.

The walls were beautiful, they were white, surgical white, and bright florescent lighting caused the crisp whiteness of the walls to be even more whiter, if one were to stare too long into these lights or at the walls, the whiteness suddenly lost its beauty and took on a more harsher tone of white…

Doctors wearing black uniforms with white lab coats walked down these corridors while carrying bundles of documents and papers, others lead patients around, people who’s mental capabilities had been lost in some horrific experiment, simpletons, shuffling their feet as they walked and drooling from the mouth…

Three Reichmarshals were waiting outside one of the rooms, when a doctor opened the door and left…

“What do you think they are doing?” One asked…

“I’m not sure… but look at those..” He pointed at the patients being led around by some of the doctors, like docile puppies being taken for a walk… one noticed an area of the patients head had been shaved and a poorly stitched line that stretched across the bald patch…

The fourth Reichmarshal appeared, it was one of the Higher ranking ones, he gestured for them to leave and escorted them down the corridor into what could only be described as scene from a horror movie..

People were strapped to chairs, screaming in pure agony as doctors surgically removed bones and replaced them with titanium parts, blood covered nearly every wall, corpses were being led out of the room on stretchers and piled up in a storage bay, like slaughtered cattle…

Others were in the final stages, pipe work was being connected to various parts of the brain, and other organs, one person was in the middle of a cybernetic heart transplant when one of her arteries ruptured and sent blood shooting across the room, spraying the back wall and adding even more blood to the already thickly covered wall…

The whiteness of this room and suddenly lost all of its beauty…

This was the Sardaukar programme, still in full swing even after Fathers demise… however it was a secret facility and nobody knew of its existence, the Reichmarshals looked on, visibly sickened by what they had seen, but this shouldn’t have affected them, they’d seen stuff like this happen before… but not like this, it looked like a slaughter house… something was wrong..

Still, we are slightly apprehensive of forming a new bond with a nation of such maniacal evil reputation as your own, in short, we do not see a relationship between our nations as profitable or valuable, yet, so we wish you luck in life and fortune in business and maybe a future alliance if you prove to be a potential asset.

The Co-ordinates were relayed to the Fornelia pilots as they guided their craft towards the Kraven shore line, two sleek, jet black VTOL fighter craft suddenly appeard from below, flanking each side of the plane and escorting to a runway better suited to conventional craft...

waiting by the runway was five of the inhuman Capitol Police and a large black armoured personel carrier, its twin V8 engines hummed gently in the background, as each of the five Capitol Police stood motionless, their discipline unmatched anywhere in the world... tall... menacing... imposing.... inhuman...

They waited with machine like patience for the delgate to land...

Ambassador Kinsly stepped out of the plane, flanked by his Honor Guard and several marines. The pilots of the BLUEBIRDS Squadron circled around and left Kraven airspace, most likely to a carrier waiting in international waters.

The ambassador looked up at the Capitol Police. They were famous around the world for their discipline and abilities, and he was intimidated by their presence. They were inhuman. However, the ambassador was confident in the abilities of the marines and Honor Guard protecting him.

Kinsly looked up at the Capitol Police. He wasn't familiar with their ranking system, so he simply addressed them all.

Alarms blared throughout the facility, the bright white lights had changed to an emergency red system, the noise was deafening, people rushed about, carrying papers, and soldiers carrying high powered KC44 assault rifles rushed down a corridor, followed by several heavily armed Capitol Police holding 40mm Autocannons, with tripod mounts…

The three Reichmarshals that had been in the facility earlier had been staying there over night, they’d been given a room with some beds in to sleep for the night, when they were awoken by the alarms…

A bleary eyed Reichmarshal popped his head around the door and peered down the corridor… a woman covered in blood staggered up the corridor, being helped along by two doctors….

“Jesus…” He quietly spoke…

“What’s going on?!” he shouted, struggling to be heard over the sirens…

The woman was crying, holding her head in her hands when one of the Doctors looked up, realising it was a Reichmarshal he spoke quickly…

“Five Sardaukar broke from the holding pens, they are following their last orders, they’ve been hold up in one of the examination rooms, they’ve killed six people… and are preparing to continue to the surface…” The Reichmarshal stood a gasp… before quickly grabbing his officers cap and striding out of the room followed by the other two, he held is .50cal pistol in his hands and headed off…

Once arriving at the scene he was greeted by three dead Capitol Police and scores of dead Kriegsmarines as well as a few doctors and nurses, A Capitol Police trooper stepped to one side and opened fire before being targeted by about five lazer target designators and then hammered by thousands of assault cannon rounds….

“What the fuck?… How did they get those weapons?”

A Kreigsmarine crouched down shouted across at the Reichmarshal…

“They are issued to them on completion of the final production phase, but the weapons aren’t supposed to be activated…”

“Then who activated them?”

“They did…” The Kreigsmarine shouted as another Capitol Police trooper stepped to one side of the door and lobbed a frag grenade and a smoke grenade, then stepped into the door as both exploded, the trooper was lost however, instantly as soon as he moved into the fray, each of the five target designators pinpointed him through the smoke and his bullet riddled corpse landed in a bloody pile with the rest…

“Cease firing… All Capitol Police are to stand down….. Cease firing…” The Reichmarshal shouted, he cupped his hand around his mouth and shouted at the Sardaukar…

“What are you doing? Explain your actions” He bellowed as loud as he could…

“COMPLYING WITH DIRECTIVE ONE”

“What is directive one…”

“THE SYSTEMATIC EXTERMINATION OF ALL LIFE WITHIN KRAVEN HELD TERRITORIES…” all five responded in the same monotone robotic voice…

“Who gave this order?” He replied, struggling to make his voice carry across the corridor…

“THE HIGH COMMAND”

“There are fifty Capitol Police and forty Kreigsmarines surrounding this medical bay… how many are there of you?”

There was a brief silence, before they all responded in unison…

“…….FIVE…..”

The Reichmarshal chuckled… before turning to the other two…

“They must have been counting…”

Quickly the serious nature of the situation hammered itself home and he immediately called for Helghan to be informed that the Sardaukar were following orders from the High Command…

Meanwhile this unholy stalemate continued unabated…

The Capitol Police didn't respond, but rather they all turned at the exact same time without thinking and without fault, each of their drills were perfectly time, from each swing of the arm, to each foot fall...

They marched in perfect time towards the APC, before one gestured towards the open tail gate at the rear of the Vehicle...

it was rather an odd meeting, but still... Kraven was not known for its civil hospitalities...

The Drivers gunned the engines, powerful V8's roaring into life while great plumes of thick black smoke rose high into the air from the twin exhaust ports on either side of the behemoth of a vehicle....

Deputy Foreign Minister Mohammed Hassan ibn Malik and his Learjet landed in Norska. Having been advised by no less than four military and ex-military officers not to go unprotected, the young man wore a set of Dragon Skin body armor under his suit, and carried a .50 caliber Smith and Wesson revolver in his jacket.

A little heavily armed for a politician... he thought as the MP7 he had carried as a personal defense weapon dug into his back. Beside him, two Marines in full armor and armed to the teeth with S-200 Sarzonian Q&C battle rifles (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9670160&postcount=1), sat on either side as the plane landed.

Flipping through the various reports from his Ministers, the Emperor came across an article that piqued his interest. Opening the file, he quickly read through it, before shouting to the room at large, 'Summon the Minister for the Imperial Military!'

In a matter of minutes, a tall, muscular man entered the room and marched to the Throne. 'You called, milord?'

'Yes. My orders are as follows. Mobilise the Imperial 2nd Army, and call for the 1st and 7th Regiments of the Holy Guard to stand ready for a possible excursion. And finally, prepare a full combat package for myself. I may be leading an Imperial Expedition to a certain nation... why are you still standing here?' finished the Emperor.

'Sorry, milord. It shall be as you command,' replied the Minister, before he nearly ran from the Throne Room, orders already issuing from his mouth. As he left, the Emperor turned to a small console in his Throne, and began typing up a message.

Official Statement From The Palaces Of
The Holy Emperor Of Dentara

We are always happy to see yet another great nation free itself from corrupt control and return to peace, especially one with such power as the Kraven Corporation. Know that your nation has the full support of the Holy Empire of Dentara during this time of transition.

We also realise, through our observations and an examination of past history, that there are many nations that would prefer see you annihilated, your strength scattered to the wind and your armies smashed under their heels. Should a situation arise in which you need assistance, know that you have our full support and allegiance, and, should another nation open hostilities against you, the whole of the Imperial 2nd Army and the 7th Regiment of the Holy Guard shall stand ready to mobilise and assist your nation.

Finally, I myself have a request to make. I ask that your great nation recieve me, to open firm and lasting diplomatic relations. Of course, as is understandable in such troubled times, I would travel with a large complement of security, namely the 1st Regiment of the Imperial Holy Guards, however these bodyguards would be a mere formality, albeit a necessary one. If such an audience is possible, please inform us immediately, so that we can prepare an Imperial Expedition to your glorious nation.

Signed,
His Most Holy Highness, Emperor Aramius I, Commander In Chief of the Dentaran Imperial Army, Lord Admiral of the Dentaran Imperial Navy, Lord Marshal of the Dentaran Imperial Air Force.

“Sir, we are ready to disembark.”

“What?”

“Director Sir, we’ve landed.” The little patch on the side of her Arctic/Urban armor read

“K. Neza;” The chevrons indicated Sergeant. He couldn’t make out her face through the
matte-black polycarbonate mask. She held one of the wickedly curved Bardiches, an evil weapon that could cut through metal and bone alike. Her DRS-83 rifle was slung over her back.

“Lets go.” He said, flipping his small sunglasses down. He put his small ear piece in, allowing him to listen to the Deathwatch’s communications.

“Falcon is departing” he heard. From this point on, the Deathwatch would only speak to each other over the secured com links.

The autonomous plane retracted the skystairs once Dir. Krzystof scanned his barcoded neck. He held what appeared to be a large bowling ball bag in his left hand and a thin attaché case in his right. The sky was a cold, overcast steel.

“This place is death” the director thought, his hidden eyes stared back at the red version of himself in the eyes of a Capitol Police trooper. Neither blinked.

(OOC: Damnit, How did I miss this thread..?)

Chateau Vianden, April 30th, 2007

A single lamp casted some light over the desk the man sat behind, not affecting any other area of the room. The man itself, and also a part of his desk, was also illuminated by the light produced by a laptop, which had been connected to the Internet by a Wi-Fi connection. There were also several other items on the man's desk, including a half-consumed Pizza, heaps of documents, reaching sky-high, memo's from all kinds of departments littered both the laptop and the desk, leaving an overall messy impression. Inbetween the mess, a holster had been conveniently placed inbetween the pizza box and the laptop, while the looks of the pistol inside the holster were somewhat revealing that the SIG-Sauer P250 had been loaded. What this all meant? Per Lindstrom was making overhours. It was now 9 o'clock in the evening, and Lindstrom was becoming somewhat tired. He, Chief Director of the IVD, was about to go home.

However, he wanted to finish one last report, before going home. He was the last one in the IVD currently still on their Main Office, Chateau Vianden. Mainly because Van Luxemburg had been feeling so safe in the last years, the IVD, Van Luxemburg's Intelligence Agency, didn't work overnight. The Office would be closed at 7 o'clock, if Lindstrom wasn't there, and would not be opened till 6 o'clock that next morning. Lindstrom had long since been cursing this way of operating the IVD, but he hadn't been able to allocate more funds. He had always been calling it a shitty business to run the IVD.

With a sigh, he started working on the last report, concerning the safety of the Diplomatic Neighborhood in Luxembourg. He was however halted in his movements by the familiar sound of a new E-mail. It was from the Office of the Grand Duke, which did work overnight, giving a link to what presumably was an FTP adress. When he clicked it, he was stunned. He knew the scene. The Kraven Corporation. He had just finished his last report about it. And now, it would be obsolete.

Damnit, Lindstrom thought, but didn't realize he had been saying it out loud. For Christ's sake. This is disastrous, or better than we could ever hope. Either of the two. I really hope it'll be the last one. Well, after all, we'll see. I need to take a rest after seeing this. I'm going home...

Lindstrom closed the last of his reports, attached the holster to his belt, but left all other mess on his desk, while also taking the laptop with him. After he had picked up his Koenigsegg CCX from the underground parking, he sped home. However, he wouldn't sleep well that night, The Kraven Corporation had surrounded his mind....

OOC: Those who have been picked up by the transports and those that have not may assume if they wish that they have now arrived at the pre-determined meeting point, if you wish, especially for my Capitol Police to pick you up, then say so, and I shall make it so

Victory Square, this was its name, a huge plaza, stretching across part of the inner city, it was resplendent in its beauty, a first for Kraven, no longer was it a staging ground for Civil Suppression Operations or a meeting point for armoured columns, only three days previously a massive Battalion of the 8th Panzer-grenadiers had made their last stand against the forces of Helghan, corpses had littered the streets, but quickly the slave force from one of the factory sectors was called in to clean up…. No one would have known the death that had been here…

Public executions, traitors and thought criminals hung from huge steel gallows, (that for all reasons unknown still remained there, perhaps as a reminder of the former regime) and the battles that raged there in the last days of the High Commands reign… but still.. A strange feeling hung in the air, like these lands couldn’t quite shake the tarnish of death that clung to it like a parasitic creature…

In the distance, sounds could be heard, marching, great columns of soldiers, marching in perfect time, it was a great noise that rose over the tall buildings and passed throughout each of the back streets, it filtered through the plaza and across the podium that stood at the back…

in front of the podium were many chairs, each of them appeared to be standard issue chairs, no comfort or grand designs, just pure functionality, designed to be sat on, not to be comfortable, or a pleasure to look at, this was the seating arrangement for the visiting diplomats, to the left of the seats were seven grand tables, massive in size and each one was covered in a white table cloth that obviously hid a great feast beneath…

The column of Soldiers, Capitol police in-fact, entered the plaza, following the perimeter and standing on guard, one could not be too careful, Kraven had amassed many enemies and in true Kraven style, the forces of The Sturmpanzer Battalion ensured that people knew who held the force here, it was Kraven still partly stuck in its own ways, because it has been said “that Kraven diplomacy is nothing more than thinly veiled threats and intimidation”

The APC’s carrying the delegates entered the plaza and pulled up near the seats, they gunned the engines and prepared to allow the delegates to disembark, each of the burley Capitol Police escorts exited first, standing on either side of the doorway and allowing the delegate to leave with style…although, an intimidating style…

Once each of the dignitaries were disembarked, they were gestured by Kreigsmarine Captains to sit down on the chairs and await the representative from Kraven to arrive…

Kreigsmarines walked around carrying trays of drinks and offering them to the delegates while others held trays of snacks, this was Kraven’s attempt and being civil and a pleasant host, even though the meeting was outside in the cold Kraven air….

Ambassador Kinsly strode out of the transport, flanked by his marine and Royal Guard escort. He was not a military man, so this whole scenario somewhat disturbed him, but he was also a diplomat, so he was adept at hiding his true feelings. He casually accepted a drink being offered to him, and after discreetly having the Royal Guard check it for poison, he took a sip. He then sat down and waited, signalling his men to do whatever the hell they did to get into a defensive position.

Commander Mekal stepped down from the APC casually, paying no heed to the flanking Kraven Capitol Police, his dark blue High Council cloak fluttering slightly in the cold air. His six accompanying Imperial Guards came behind, their escort formation march as near perfect and in unison as any Kraven battalion.

It was all just for show though. Mekal was not a High Councilor and his guards were not soldiers of the Imperial Guard but volunteers from the army, simply dressed in the elegant gold ceremonial armour of the Guard. While Mekal was actually authorized to enter negotiations with the Corporation, the Empire held no large hope that such an event would come to pass or that this was really some good-natured rebirth of the Kraven nation.

Though he refused the food offered to him, Mekal did take a drink, but merely placed it down on the table before him as he sat to await the Kraven officials. As he waited, the last words of High Councilor Sollonaal’s briefing echoed in his thoughts. Remember who you are meant to be. Give nothing of value to them; they are not to be trusted. We will be listening, so make sure you are in a position to hear something worthwhile. After that, the devious and scheming Councilor had simply walked off leaving the Commander puzzled until someone else had arrive to fit him with a wire. He scratched at it as he was reminded of its presence, the tape causing slight irritation, but helping to seemingly speed up the passing of time as he continued to wait.

It looked like some deranged 1984 and Third Reich freak had let his fantasies run wild upon a city, with predictable even if imposing-enough effect.

Hopefully Helghan doesn't indulge in too many of those fantasies. Otherwise, there will be very little I can do here. He remembered the precision-drilled stance of the Capitol Police as he'd exited the APC that had picked them up from the airstrip. They were a good metaphor for the nation, it seemed. Everything in its place, everything with a purpose, and everything under orders; none of which were its own in origin. Though Rilir hoped to achieve much on this trip, sitting in Victory Square gave him much the same feeling as if he had been sitting near the Black Gate way back when. Hopefully though, with greater chance of surviving at least in this case...

OOC: Hope you dont mind if I show up?

IC:'Christ' Laveronich Richstunov thought as he stepped from the APC, his two NKVD bodygaurds trailing behind a little.

He had lived in Red Tide his whole life, but even someone from that nation, oppressive and totalitarian as it is, would have been taken aback here. The DSRT didnt hang people and leave them swinging in the streets, no... it simply made them disappear. That seemed far more effective then letting everyone know what happened to them. Now, Laveronich wasnt to sure.

Shrugging it off, Laveronich took a seat and gladly accepted the snacks and drinks that were handed to him. Being a mid-level diplomat he was rather expendable in the eyes of the DSRT. Besides, he was hungry and thirsty after the long plane ride and everything.

"Colderon, it seems Kraven has turned good. wanting to be friendly with everyone. I smell a trap, but thats years of combat speaking. Do you wish me to go to them sir?" asked Ageis in his cold lifeless voice that seemed to echo in the large room.

" Yes... go to Kraven. I have met this Helgan (SP)and I don't think peace is what he had in mind. Once a kravenite always a Kravenite. " said Colderon as he grasped a glass of blood wine in his finger jeweled hand which shimmered in the light of the Large screen that where normally behind him.

Ageis nodded and quickly turned away and started to the door. But before he could take the final step he was stopped.

" Oh, And don't go telling them anything that I wouldn't tell them, I do so hate having my personnel life paraded in the open." said Colderon as he put the glass back into its original place.

Ageis looked back continued forward out the door. Aegis do hate going to open meetings, but it was better then staying in that room like a dog. Colderon had him by the balls and aegis knew it. For if Colderon willed it, Ageis would die. As he walked by his secretary he ordered that a plane be readied for his departure to the Kraven territory. the Secretary had a most confused look on her face as he called in the request. even the pilot seemed a little on edge about going their. Ageis then exited his office and left down stairs to the launch deck where his plane was waiting.

As he got outside the Pilot saluted as did the Sf who where to escort him to the territory. Ageis ignored them and walked on the plane. His heavy Suit and cybernetics made the plane shift slightly to the side before settleing back to its original position. The pilot quickly got on board and began the pre-flight checklist. Every few seco0nds the pilot would look back at Ageis to see if he was doing anything. Ageis didn't move. But the last time the pilot looked back Ageis was right behind him. The pilot nearly urinated on himself.

" Keep you mind on fling and off me!" Ageis snapped

The pilot nodded and finished his list and began the engine ignition. The powerful Raven Scramjets kicked to life as the plane began to leave to platform and rise into the air. A mighty boom sound came as the rear jets came to life and projected the jet forward towards the Kraven area.
