As the title states I have some what of a question for the NS World upon the whole. I am thinking about RP'ing a Terrorist Attack against my own nation using Mind Control. Similar to that shown in Command and Conquer Red Alert 2 and the Yuri Revenge Expansion Pack.

Anyway my idea was that a Crazy Scientist would develop Mind Control and use it to seize control of a City. Anyway id like to know would this be feasible within the NS World?

Mass Mind Control in MT is most likely very unlikely.

From my knowledge, which isnt all that much, mind control is iffy but can be done. On the condition that you explain what it can do and you get the people who are in your thread to agree to its affects, since you will be controlling their soldiers. And don't go overboard; make the powers realistic.

Outside of brain-washing or hypnosis, this is true. With hypnosis, however, the person being hypnotized must be willing to freely submit the the hypnotizer.

I just wanted to get a wee few opinions on the subject id be looking to RP my Terrorist (A Weird Some What Lonely and Bullied University Professor) would discover a way to transmit Mind Control Waves by a Radio Mast.

It would be short term at first but the terrorist would be looking to make it pernament. Would it be possible it would be isloated to a small city on one of the more isolated Vetakan Areas. Would anybody be willing to RP a crazy nerd like super geek terrorist?

It's not. Not now, not ever. Having said that, nobody is likely to stop you if you use it as a plot device in a one-off plot, provided you don't start waving it around in front of other countries in the game afterwards. RP it all being destroyed afterwards or something.

After all, seems like every other country has some kind of mind control. Even evil genocidal maniacs somehow manage to command 100% loyalty with absolutely no attempts at dissension whatsoever, these days.

PMT is most likely, since it's advanced enough for it to be plausible but not so advanced that other nations would have the technology and knowledge to protect against it. MT and FT are probably less likely, with FT being the least likely situation for mind control due to the fact that they would understand cognition a lot better and would be able to develop ways to counter it or prevent it from succeeding.

I have used a form of mind control, in that Siapian Intelligence Specialists often get captured enemy officers addicted to heroin and then use that to get intel or be taken to high value targets.

As far as something on the scale of Red Alert 2, I don't htink thats really feasible in MT or PMT.

Though I, Lord Victor Grey, have the means to build a mind control machine, I find non-technical methods more satisfying. Give the rabble many comforts and distractions to keep them happy, and public executions for anyone who opposes me.

OOC: If it's against your own nation, it doesn't matter what you use. In my second civil war the opposition to Dreadfire was almost entirely of the occult.
