SIC:

-Pretoria, Dominion Province of South Africa-

"Gentlemen, before you lies a map of Africa. As you can see there are three major powers on the continent, The Dominion, The Empire of Futuris, and the Central African Empire. Both the Empire of Futuris and the Dominion are allies through the Entente alliance and the CAE is part of the Third Alliance, which is dominated by the Western European Federation and Greater Germanic Alliance. Thus, the CAE is nearly surrounded by Entente members." Prime Minister Charles Hansen said.

"But, there are a few areas that must be gained to fully encase the CAE. If we can exercise enough power over the CAE, we exercise alot of power over the Third Alliance in Africa. If the Third Alliance loses it's African member, suddenly things change quite a bit." He said.

"I bet you are wondering what areas I am speaking of. It's actually quite easy to see once you actually look at the map. The areas I speak of are Angola and Tanzania, two of our neighboring countries. And before you protest by saying 'Our people won't stand for this!' or 'What will the other Entente members think?' or even 'You're mad.', let me say this. There militaries are weak and their governments corrupt. This is all not new knowledge to any of you. It would be very simple to implicate them in the Havana bombings." he said. The room was quiet for a long while the people who had heard all of this digested it. It was a good 2 minutes before someone said anything.

"I am guessing we are really going to do this?" A Parliament member said

"Yes we are. The military is already preparing for this operation. All I need is for the Parliament to give it it's blessing, thereby gaining the people's. It shouldn't be too hard." The Prime Minster said.

"Then I guess we have no choice. I will get the Parliaments blessing for the Operation." The Member said.

"Then this meeting is over." The Prime Minister said.

IC1:

Dominion Diplomatic Communique to the World

Today. The South African Dominion Armed Forces will begin Operations in the countries of Angola and Tanzania. Both of these countries have been hotbeds of terrorist activity for as long as we can remember. Just in the last few weeks, more and more information has been turning up about the Governments of said nations working with other known terrorist supporting nations. Ties have been found to the countries of Esterreich, Cyprus, Jordan, and Lebanon.

But the ties are not enough to warrant these operations. No, these countries have also been found to be oppressive of their inhabitants. Refugees from each country brings their own unique and gruesom tail of savagery from their government.

We hope for your support in these operations.

Sincerely
Prime Minster Charles Hansen

IC2:

Along the Tanzanian and Angolan borders Dominion Soldiers amassed, atleast 250,000 for each country. Each soldier trained and ready for combat. Some were eager to get to the fighting, others were just silent and calm. They knew some of their buddies would not be coming back after this. Each Battlegroup was supported by 200 M1A2 Abrams tanks each.

Already, artillery and air-strikes were being done against each countries military. Most of their targets were military bases and fuel depots, but they did aim for some of the cities that were likely to be home to some intense fighing early on.

-Dominion-Tanzanian Border-

Artillery thundered across the border from the Dominion into the country of Tanzania. On both sides of Lake Nyasa troops prepared to enter into Tanzania. They checked and double checked their equipment, making sure their canteens were filled, making sure their CR-21 was clean, or that if the magazines were fully filled. Tanks were being inspected mutliple times to make sure that everything was in top-shape. There were numerous things that could go wrong, and the Dominion Army was making sure that none of them happened today.

Overhead, 12 JAS 39 Gripens flew overhead to drop bombs in Tanzania. The air campaign had been been going very well. Everyday Planes flew overhead to drop bombs on another Tanzanian military post or cache. Nothing but Civilian areas were off-limits to the Planes. They also reported interesting movements back to command and helped keep the regs at the border informed about what was going on inside the country of Tanzania.

Suddenly the order to mount up went out across the line. 1st Corp on the western side of Lake Nyasa had received it's orders and prepared to head out almost immediatley. Their immediate targets were the cities of Sumbawanaga and Mbeya. After they had occupied these cities, they would sweep east and assist 2nd Corp in it's major goal of taking Das Es Salaam, the capital city of Tanzania. After that, the Corps would proceed to occupy the rest of the country.

-Dominion-Angolan Border-

Unlike the Tanzanian campaign, the Angolan campaing would be one of swift movement and constant offense. Much of the southeastern region of Angola is sparsely populated, which lends itself to a much more mobile war. Also unlike the Tanzanian campaign, Rooivalk Attack Helicopters would be used alot here, unlike in Tanzania where they are almost never used.

The push into Angola would be spearheaded by M1A2 Abrams Tanks, Rooikat Amored Fighting Vehicles, and Ratel Infrantry Fighting Vehicles. All in high numbers. Airstrikes will be done far inland from the invasion force, so as to disrupt any incoming reinforcements and cut communications. The four cities these forces will be heading for are the cities of Menongue, Luena, Namibe, and Lubango. After that, they will continue to press home their advantage until Angola submits.

- Bangui, The Central African Empire

The Emperor stood talking with the war cabinet within the Great War Room below the Imperial Palace.

"Emperor" said Field Marshall Unabe, "South Africa has moved troops into Tanzania and Angola very quickly and we fear that the Entente may be attempting to completely surround the Empire."

"I want more enforced border security immediatly, and i need to speak with the leader of Uganda and Kenya at once!"

"Yes, my liege" said the joint chiefs.

Official Diplomatic Communique

My lords of Uganda and Kenya,

Mother Africa has been much torn of late, with civil and international strife. We fear that surrouding powers are eyeing you as ripe apples for the taking. Therefore the Central African Empire wish to align itself with your respective nations in order to preserve peace and soverignty in East and Central Africa.

My Best,

Emperor Jean-Pierre

François Chirac sighed as he brushed aside the reports of the latest news in Africa. As soon as Morocco was safe from the Empire of Futuris, he did not care of the events in that Continent unless it concerned the CAE. He saw The Dominion as an African country that thought much of themselves, and certainly were the most Westernized power in Africa, though relied to much on the Entente. If CAE was to start a conflict, it could be resolved by themselves and South Africa, and hopefully without foreign intervention.

- Official Statement by the WEF

The Western European Federation would like to express it's neutrality in the current African situation, though wishes the CAE well with all it's plans, and hopes the unrest and expansion in African soon stops.

SECRET MESSAGE TO: The CAE

We support your actions, economically and with weapons/supplies, though currently cannot commit troops to your cause. If they are allowed to expand, why should you not be? There is no reason.

Tanzania

The Dominion was striking too fast for the spread-out military of Tanzania-far too small to cover the entire large nation. Therefore, it was deemed prudent to decide on a point to stand. Men across the nation were being mobilized-nationalism certainly was a major point. The nation would not go down without a giant sacrifice-and the numbers were swelling amongst the ranks. The problem was outfitting-there were plenty of rifles to go about, but that was about it.

There was a total of ten infantry brigades. Seven had formed up to make a stand at the city of Iringa-directly in the path of the rampaging Dominion forces. The other three moved back to the capital of Dodoma to defend it from what would assuredly be a later move. The two battalions of AAA-armed with ZXU guns-and one battalion of S-A-2 armed SAM groups formed up inside the city of Iringa, bunkering down. Barbed wire, improvised traps, landmines, and crude defenses began going up around the city. As long as it stood, the Tanzanians could broadcast to the world. The only tank battalion also moved up, as did the field artillery and and anti-tank battalions-four total.

Meanwhile, the aircraft of Tanzania-2 squadrons of Mi-8 Hips had launched back to the capital for redeployment strategies-took to the skies. It was a motly group-27 total aircraft, being 3 Mig-29s, 9 Su-24 frogfoots, 8 Mig-21s, and 1 Su-22-all moved out. They were loaded with both strike and AAM capabilities-crude, but nevertheless potentially effective. They quickly took to the skies, and advanced towards the enemy forces-staying close to the ground.

As a final measure, the only naval craft of Tanzania-7 PCFGs, and 12 patrol boats-began making a dash. They were headed towards the nation of Kenya, specifically towards Mombassa.

Angola

The Angolans were, if anything, even more fierce in their pride. The civilians were getting active. In the cities of Ondjiva, Mavinga, Caiundo, Chiange, Cahama, Lubango, Namibe, Kuvango, and Menongue, fires began to start in certain quarters of the city-depriving of some of the more established sectors as they began to grow. In other parts, roving gangs had began to take control as policing and armed forces had moved North-and they were armed with an assortment of RPGs and rifles, ready to engage. IEDs were being placed along roadsides into these and other Southern cities, preparing for the Dominion advance. Landmines were being set by the Angolan forces as they retreated north-both anti-personnel and anti-armor.

However, the military was strategically set along the main, country-dividing rail line that extended from Luau to Benguela. It was a large line at that-capable of many trains, with multiple roads also capable of transport. The line extended deep into the wet highlands, and throughout was not particularly good terrain, being in the central portions of Angola. The only portion of slight concern was the coast-however, there, defenses had been bolstered even further. SAM batteries, AAA, anti-armor, armor, and infantry was being bolstered.

The militia was present in the cities-they had been dispatched as a disturbing force. Dressed as part of the roving gangs that patrolled the cities now, the militia was far better armed-some carrying AK-74s and other high-powered weapons.

The Angolan government, safe for the time being, made a press release-two, in fact.

Addressed to the Nations of the World

It is clear what the South African Dominion is-it is a sad state of imperial tendencies and overblown proportions. Its ego is too much for its own body, though while Angola can hold out for some time, it will not be forever. Already the infidels punch into our homeland, to rape, pillage, kill, and torture our citizens-they simply want our land. They do not respect our people.
We ask for the world's support in this-not just for Angola, but also for our African friends in Tanzania, also a victim in this catastrophic state, who are in a significantly worse predicament. This landgrab cannot go down unanswered; it cannot be allowed to further to grab both nations into the dark swirl of tyranny.

The question now stands: will you relent passively, and allow the first of many, or will your nation take a stand?

-Angolan Government

A second communication was sent in secret to the CAE.

SIC

Addressed to the Central African Empire

If your nation is in any position to hold back this tide of imperials from the South, please, we request your aid. It is not only for Angola-they have funding from high powers, and heavy technology. They will go after your nation once they dispel of Angola and Tanzania. While there is still time, let us work together, not as members of nations, but as Africans.

-Angolan Government

Uganda and Kenya

IC:

The nations of Uganda and Kenya had convened an "impromptu summit" in Mombassa, Kenya. It was clear of Cookesland's negotiating that they wanted to buy some land of their own-however, though Tanzania was in bad shape to face the Dominion, Kenya and Uganda were in considerably better shape.

Addressed to the nation of the Central African Empire

We are perfectly fine with accepting support from the CAE; however, we are not going to confirm you if you try to request either Uganda or Kenya to join the Empire. Though any support against the Dominion will be appreciated-for mutual safety.

-Tanazanian Campaign-

Reports had been flooding in about what was going on inside Tanzania. Most of the reports suggested that the majority of the Tanzanian Army was prepared to make a stand at the city of Iringa. Troop figures were shown to be as great as 50,000 or as little as 5,000. What was readily clear was that most of the Tanzanian force was near Iringa. This called for a change in the battle-plans and although changes were not usually very good for an army on the move. This time it would probably shorten the fighting by a series of weeks instead of months.

The new plans were sent to field leaders via radio and/or other means of communication. Although many in turned voiced concern for the changes, most were happy to see the changes. The eastern force would split up in half, with half heading up the coast to capture the Das Es Elaam. While the other half moved in conjunction with the western force to attack Iringa. The western force would instead of moving east after capturing Iringa, would move north and capture the administrative capital.

Even as the messages were being relayed and received, radar had picked up faint bleeps incoming across the Tanzanian Country side. They were small, and cut out off and on, but the radar operators reported the situation almost immediately to the Commander of the installation and he in turn reported it to the nearby command center. It was from there that a plan of action was suggested and accepted. The Dominion would send out 10 Planes to meet this "force" and hopefully eliminate it from the equation. The commander chose 7 JAS 39 Gripens and 3 F-14 Tomcats for the assignment. He knew they would easily meet any opponent they could think off.

Dominion Communique

We understand what you mean, but there is a slight problem. The governments of the region have been found to be lenient against terrorists, and while we may not go out of our way to sway them from their beliefs, we do beleive that if military action is needed we will do so. And if any CAfE soldiers are found trying to protect government officials or soldiers under those governments, they will be considered legal combatants of that regime, not of the CAfE. We can understand peace-keeping, but blantant support of Terrorist Harboring Regimes is something we will not stand.

-Angolan Campaign-

Unlike the fighting in Tanzania, the fighting in Angola was radically different. Whereas in Tanzania, the people seemed dejected, but had come to reason with Dominion invading. In Angola, the people were fierce and numerous militias roved the streets, looking to impede the Dominion advance. Most of these Militias were armed with little more the Ak-74s and RPGs, but there determination had earned them the respect of numerous Dominion Soldiers.

Most of the fighting was nothing more then sporadic skirmishes that did nothing but slow down the advance and that is exactly what the Angolan Military wanted. The longer they had to prepare the better they would be able to defend themselves, but many knew it all but futile. Unlike Tanzania, they knew to just lie down and take it was no course, they were a proud people. One with a history of fighting against oppressors and other regimes.

Another thing the military duely noted was that they could not launch strikes against Angolan targets because of the every present danger of the few good Angolan Fighters. They had decided early on that eliminating the Angolan Air Force would be a top priority. It would allow them to use their Attack Helos more often and in more offensive roles. They decided on a slightly risky plan, one that put the lives of atleast 6 pilots in danger.

The plan called for sending out 6 JAS 39 Gripens to bomb a target north of the strategic port city of Benguela. They would outfitted in standard strike equipment. But, hopefully, unbeknownst to the Angolans a squadrons of 12 F-14s would take off at the same time and head out into the Atlantic. The would swing eastward toward the same area as the JAS 39 Gripens. Hopefully the Gripens would drawn the attention of the Angolan Airforce and hopefully a few of their modern fighters. This would hopefully be a gracefully sprung trap that would eliminate the Angolan Airforce from the picture.

We had earlier detained three people of Angolan and Tanzanian origin. We found out through an investigation that they were linked to a terrorist organization that has it's roots in Africa. This organizatoin, although directly involved, assisted in the Havana Bombing. Through further investigation we found links to the governments of the respective countries.

This is our evidence.

Angola

The insurgent plans within the cities was working fabulously better than planned-the numbers swelled each day in the informal militias, as children as young as twelve, strong enough to point and shoot a gun, were entering into the ranks-for varieties of reasons. Angolan propoganda was doing a number in the cities, and the communication systems, considerably stronger than their Tanzanian counterparts, were fairly efficient for an African nation.

The longer the wait, the more supplies and reinforcements could be dedicated along the line-quickly forming into an armored defense screen that stretched the length of Angola. It was a feat of engineering and human spirit, to be frank-and the impact of nationalism and independence. Defensive lines of mines, anti-tank blocks, electrified barbed wire, and other cost-effective yet workable solutions to slowing down any advance were being established across the line.

It was forming into a fortification rivaling the potential of the French Maginot Line-which had failed to French overconfidence. The Angolans, contrary to some European stereotypes that had put them as backwater savages, had learned from the past-and were determined not to repeat it. Depending on where and how the Dominion would strike the line, the Angolan war command was continuously revising plans on how to turn an assault of the line into a defeat of the Dominion attack. After all, the Angolans were the defenders-they simply needed to make the war too costly for the Dominion to continue pursuing it. After all, the Angolan populace was giant-the Dominion military was sizeable, but not enormous.

Tanzania

The Dominion planes that had been launched across the border when the Tanzanian aircraft were advancing. The flight split-the 29s and 21s moved off to engage the Dominion fighters, while the 24s and 22 continued on to meet the ground force with weaponry. The fighters moved quickly towards the Dominion aircraft-the Russian fighters, though old, still containing a strong engine and good speed. Closing to missile range, the fighters locked targets on the ten opposers-and opened the first volley.

The Mig-21s, outfitted with AA-6 Acrid AAMs, released 2 each of the long-range AAMs as the Mig-29s loosed two AA-9 Amos AAMs each, directed at the enemy fighters.

The incoming missles were a slight shock to the pilots, but they quickly composed themselves and prepared. As the distance between them and the missles got shorter and shorter, the pilot's fingers itched towards the lever that deployed the Chaff. Just as the missles closed withing 500 meters of the pilots, they deployed their chaff and hoped to the higher powers that they would survive.

By the graces of whomever decided they needed a break, the chaff redirected the missles and the pilots were in the clear. They formed up again and prepared for their attack run on the Tanzanian Planes. They quickly noted that some of the Tanzanian planes had broken off and were heading for the Dominion lines. 1 F-14 and a JAS 39 Gripen quickly broke off to give pursuit. The other planes prepared to fight the remaining planes ahead of them.

Angola

The JAS 39 Gripens were on there way towards the city of Benguela. They were outfitted for Aerial Strikes only, with each carring some 10-15,000 pounds of Munitions to be dropped on the target areas. The pilots knew their designated targets were strategic railroads and roadways north of the city. They would be damaging these in an attempt to slow the Angolan build-up, but they knew they were also here for another reason. They were the bait. They were baiting the Angolan Air-Force to deploy it's jets, only to swoop and destroy them out of the sky with the incoming F-14s and their Phoenix Air-To-Air Missles.

The Dominion Advance had gained some speed. They had finally figured out to deal with the Militias that were plauging them earlier. By using more armored vehicles like the Rooikat and the Ratel in a more front-line role instead of as an Armored Support unit, they increased their effectiveness against the militias and their respectfully pitiful arsenal of munitions.

The advance had already captured an important port, a city called Nimibe. It was after a day or two of moderate fighting throughout the city against Militias.

Tanzania

The strike aircraft angled in on attack vectors. They shot in low over the moving Dominion armor and infantry, dumping ordinance-Cluster munitions on armor, napalm bombs across the lines of infantry, mixed with conventional 500lb bombs. Expending their ordinance, the planes began burning afterburners to reach the homefront.

Just as the Gripens and Tomcats were reforming to engage the Tanzanian interceptors, the fighters fired again. Aphid AAMs burst forward from the Sukhois and Migs, shooting out towards the targeted Dominion fighters as the Tanzanian counterparts began closing.

Angola

Benguela

Before the Gripens could get even close enough for their droppable munitions, SAM launchers and radar sites began picking them up as Triple AAA and flak guns began warming up for when the originally Swedish jets closed in. Long-range SA-300 Grisom SAMs began shooting off of mobile launchers, as SA-3 Goa, SA-8 Gecko, and SA-15 Guantlet launchers began picking targets. A swarm of the Grisoms flew out into the Angolan skies towards the strike-laden Gripens.

Nimibe

The militias in the cities were beginning to get creative and more undercover, and Nimibe was a classic example. Boys as young as ten years old were taking the occassional shots at Dominion soldiers, and RPG-7 attacks could be seen from street to street. Suicide trucks, generally an Arabic tactic, had been adapted by some of the vagrants in such cities as Nimibe.
