Introduction to the First Reich of the Peoples Freedom
Back in October of ’05, I created the nation of TPF. I joined the roleplay forms a short time thereafter, and since then I have been roleplaying on and off for the past couple of years. It brings me much joy to play Nationstates and I have met many great friends on the site. I have for a long time, wanted to make a factbook for TPF, showing its long history and culture. So without further ado, I proudly bring you, The Peoples Freedom Factbook!
Geography
Location: The New Prussian Empire
Land Area: 15,650,040 Square Kilometers
Water Area: The Peoples Freedom claims territory 200 kilometers out of its western (and only) coastline
Area Comparative: Larger than the old United States and Russia.
Bordering Area: None, except for the coastline
Coastline: 20,250 kilometers of coastline
Climate: The bulk of the nation sees warm summers and cold winters, with a period of snow melting to mud in spring. The coastline of the nation sees fairly tropical weather with a lot of rain in the spring and summer. The last forest area, Sherwood Forest, sees warm summers and cold winters like the bulk of TPF.
Terrain: Much of TPF is a large plain, with several large chains of mountains dotting the landscape. There are also numerous lakes and rivers. There is one forest region, known as Sherwood forest, finally there are some deserts.
Natural Resources: Coal, Iron, Nickel, Uranium, Natural Gas, Oil, Gold, Silver, Tungsten, Copper, Lead. There is no timber left and very little oil. Gold and Silver are also somewhat rare.
Natural Hazards: Hurricanes on the coast, numerous tornadoes along the plain, dust storms in the desert, large thunderstorms and rainstorms.
Environmental Hazards: Severe Pollution, lack of arable land, acid rain, overcrowding, and industrial waste.
People and Culture
Population: 3.313 billion [As of April 28, 2007]
Age structure: 1-14: 20%, 14-60 70%, 60-120 10%
Median Life: Males: 88 years Females: 92 years
Ethnic Groups: White: 60%, Arab: 20%, Black, 10%, Hispanic, 2%, Asian, 2%, other, 8%
Religion: 50% Protestant, 30% Catholic, 20% Muslim, 9% Sikh, and 1% Atheist, or Agnostic
