Your a bit to small to be building SD's, your not even a billion.

=.=
I really can't be bothered to comment.
Just because my nations small wouldn't mean I couldn't build an SD...I could spend years developing it and use large portions of my Defence Budget for it I'm not saying I'm going to mass produce SDs all of a sudden or anything like that which would be impossible but my. But, the whole thing where just because someone hasn't been around so long on NS they cant have Nukes or whatever and population size would have absolutely no effect on my ability to build a nuke, Ship, Tank whatever other than maybe I wouldn't have enough Laborers to mass produce the things then again I could just say Robots run most of my Industrial production lines which would solve that problem mostly although I personally wouldn't do that but you could.
Anywho the whole thing about the length of time I have played NS allowing me to build something is an Idiotic idea.Which is why I am completely ignoring it.
As for Questers comment I really don't have any idea what =.= means...so I don't know how to reply to that really..

The reasons are logistics, do you have any idea how much it costs to create a dry dock that can fit a 1.5 km structure? SD's have large drafts so you need to dredge channels otherwise they get stuck in the mud. There are only a few people who have made SD's Questers with the Hood class, Praetonias Iron Duke, Free Thinkers and ZMI also made one.
All large nations with good economies, the logistics for SD's are huge with regards to the construction and without a history of ship building means your first one will be rubbish without the aid of other sea faring nations. Your too young to have one and you don't have the economic power to even support one on a year by year basis, even I am and I won't be building one for a long time yet.

Clandonia is right, dredging that 40m for your ship will be extremely difficult and run into the billions on its own.
Have you noticed your thing is 2 kilometers long? I suggest starting small and building up the money from sales to fund larger ships.
People will buy a 1 kilometer ship if you arm it to the teeth.
Yes I know all that..and like I said this is me desiging my first one..It can exisit on Paper for quite awhile before I acctually build one...I was more looking for comments on Statistics etc rather than "you're too small" etc etc...Seeing as my nation has a rather large coastline and several colonies across the region I'm going to need a navy..and If I can at least design several ships or whatever of my own that'd be good I would prefer designing my own ships than to buy things from storefronts...because generally using RL MT equipment is obsolete to NS MT Techs and I personally would rather use my own Ideas rather than a storefront..

I suggest you read the NS Wiki article, if you want to design something I would suggest on a smaller level. If you want help with your design the Draftroom is the place to go.

SD's aren't practical if your going across to defend colonies, destroyers or a light cruiser would be far more effective in terms of speed, navigation and resources. I suggest you check out people like Praetonia's and Questers for realistic, good solid ship designs instead of the made up figures of some people.

Yes, but its godmodding to state a January 2007 nation can create a 1.5km ship. Thats the way NS works. Deal with it.
okay like I said I can make it Exist on paper for future plans.

OOC: Make a domestic battleship, then a dreadnought, then a carrier, and people will accept you better.

Gataway, if you're interested:
s4.invisionfree.com/NSDraftroom
A lot of different NS designers are located there.
I've tried that forum twice and never get replies..or for some reason I get a 404 error there frequently

My nation was about six months old when I first designed a SD, and mine sucked.
You might want to buy a SDN or supercapital as soon as your defense budget tops 900 billion, the cost of a Hood last I checked. I have only a few SD's and several dozen smaller heavy battleships of ~800 KT.
