Axis Nova

The multitude of bases and facilities of various types around Hataria and Western Hataria fall silent as the last airships and Sand Crab transports leave, and lights begin to automatically shut off. The same happens at the Axis Novan installed autofac complexes dotting the landscape.
However, in the fusion plants in deserts and and on offshore platforms, something rather different happens, as the fusion reactors begin to raise their output, doubling it again, and again, and again.
Soon, a brilliant column of light extends into the air from each installation, shortly followed by a sky-shattering explosion as the reactors go supercritical and detonate, laying waste to the installations in which they're emplaced.
Fortunately, due to their location, no civilian life is lost, and very little in the way of property damage, except the facilities themselves.
In the autofacs, small charges in important circuits go off, and all the important electronics melt themselves down into useless slag. The central processing units, of course, had been removed physically weeks before, but Axis Nova is not leaving any technology behind for potential enemies to recover and study.
Oddly enough, the military bases and space launch facilities don't seem to suffer any obvious self-destructive effects, though everything that can be taken away has...
