Well, this is my first in a long time.

Starting up an RP that will hopefully be pretty fun, pretty exciting, and so forth.

For starters -

This RP will be based around a Police Force/Service in a location still up for debate. We will all RP our individual characters, ranging from office jocks to actual field Officers. Also, you may be allowed to RP as Antagonists..so there will actually be a storyline per-say, I just haven't thought one up completely. There isn't a whole lot of rules aside from the "No Shit, be respectful" deal. As far as rules do go, however, I would like to state the following -

1 - I do not care about your Personal Opinion towards the Police or those who strive to fight them. So, do not bring such opinions here.
2 - Be respectful, try to stay away from inflammatory statements. If you feel that a member may be disrespectful and/or is baiting you into an argument, please send me or a respective Moderator a TG/PM.
3 - Use common sense. Also, be patient...I for one am in the process of enlistment into the United States Army, and will be a bit busy throughout this upcoming month.

So, now to a bit of the more advanced things...

Repeating a bit of the above, this will take place in a Metropolitan setting. This will give us all plenty of activities to do, IE if there isn't an "Event" per-say..well, then make on up. It's a Metro, there will be crime..there will be things to do. Character development is an absolute must to keep the RP going, you may *if both parties agree to it* have "Previous Relations" with other Characters. IE - Officer Y and Officer X have been best friends since they were in kindergarten. They served in the Marine Corps in the same unit, and ironically serve as Police Officers in City Z.

That is not the only previous relation you can have, if you want to add in something sort of unique then feel free. I'm thinking about keeping this pretty lose with who you chose to be, IE a "Pro-Criminal" to just the common thug with a lot of luck to just about anything. Also, as a Police Officer, you may be able to range from the comedic guy at work who broke his leg in the past and can't run without pain so he just files your paperwork..but we all love him anyways..to the normal traffic cop. Whatever you chose to be, make sure it is relevant to the central storyline. So, whatever you do make sure you keep an eye on the Plot which will be updated slowly as the RP Progresses.

I plan to make this more or less quite humorous. If any of you have seen Hot Fuzz, you may even notice where the thread title actually comes from. It will have serious elements in it, but it doesn't have to be like "The Shield". Whatever the majority of the RPers, if there really is much who pick up on this, want..we'll go with it. Even if someone doesn't like it, we'll make sure to include them into it in a way that will entertain them.

So, a re-cap -

Cop RP. You can be the bad guys, which can be almost anything. Of course, being an "Interest" thread, the list of things you can be is subject to suggestion and change. I am making this with a very broad attitude, so that means most of anything is included just not defined. Rules are simple, just be mature.

You do not have to make a Character yet, just if you are interested let me know via posting. Actually, I will make a BASIC Character Sheet so that you can put down some basic information.

And, in addition - Some things will be limited. Obviously, SWAT Members. Oh, and, I am looking for at least one or two other people to RP as NPCs along side myself. If you are interested, TG/PM me and I'll give you some options/examples of what you could help with. Finally, just have fun with it. If you don't like this idea, then don't even bother replying.

I think I might be interested in playing some sort of organized crime/street gang syndicate leader. I was thinking of RP'ing his rise from a lowly crack peddler to a gang leader over a period of time. Maybe a fall from power could be instated, then a rebuilding of his street cred after that.

Sure, sounds like great fun, I'll sign up as a cop I guess. Two questions though, first, does the average police officer carry a sidearm here? And second, does anyone want to roleplay his partner or do the police patrol alone here?

Bio: Daniel Eveer graduated from High School with average grades, average athletic ability and average looks. He posseses the kind of face you'd forgot almost as soon as you looked at it and would probably be totally forgotten were it not for his slightly unusual surname. He joined the city police force at the age of 21 and has worked his way up the ranks to become a senior officer, but still an officer nontheless and unlikely to be singled out for promotion to a higher rank after being passed over so many times.

Bio: Born in Zimbabwe, he grew up watching his local police force (and his father) try unsuccessfully to combat local crime. He studied up to a college grade level, taking classes in English and Public Services. Working in factories, he managed to scrape his savings together and leave the country at the age of 22. Upon arrival, he immediately went to work for his new country, and eventually was accepted into the local police force where his dedication to preserving Law and Order served him in good stead. Now working as a senior-ranking Traffic Officer, his one aim in life is to do what his father strived to - save lives and make the city safe for it's residents.

I'm going to be working on a Central Plot Line, please feel free to litter but do not make much of a mess...don't want to get into trouble with Moderation again...in the mean time, will be looking for more people to join up.

Guess that's all for now, will be transitioning material to a new thread to operate as a central thread. In a way, you can think of this operating like an Earth since people will be allowed to make side-lines. So, our only duo thus far could do something like be on patrol or some crap and run into trouble.

Anyways, don't start RP'ing yet necisarily, but feel free to build up relations/plan some crap.

Things should be completely ready by Friday.

Bio: Raised in a GD family, he has spent his life trying to get to the top. Unfortunately, it takes time and luck, both of which have not been on his side lately. He graduated High School with descent grades, but did not go to college. He then joined the Marines after encouragement by his crew to "learn to kill people." After a brief a tour in Afghanistan, followed by Embassy Duty in Liberia, he finally got to go home. After seeing what drugs did to his brother Dave, he vowed never to use them. He does sell them to mkae a living, but never touches his cache. He has two main contacts, a pimp named Silky and his supplier, Phillip "Pit Bull" Bryant.

What are teh language restrictions here? Tron is straight up 'gangsta,' so I need to know if I am allowed to use some ebonics here such as n***a. If not, I will resort to other colorful things such as Ho, Trick, Mark, John, Mark-Ass-Trick, Trick-Ass-Mark, Punk Bitches, Skips, Skeezers, Scallywhops, etc.

Bio: Tall, lanky, pale and eerily quiet. Initially worked in Naval intelligence and was offered a position in the CIA during the Vietnam war. He was specifically placed in charge of a Black-Ops program to track the Viet Cong in Cambodia in Laos. His superiors had commented that he was so good at finding the VC that had he been sent in after Dien Bien Phu, the war would have been won.

He continued his work with the CIA, uncovering moles and tracking spies in the US and auditing suspected corrupt agents. He received praise from all of his superiors, although he formally resigned from the CIA two days before the breaking of the Iran-Contra affair. He was never investigated for this, and his ties were never truly known.

He then worked for the IRS for several years, before quitting that and becoming a private consultant to several auditing firms, before finding himself most comfortable in Internal Affairs, where he was used to assure appropriate handling of witnesses and check for officers who may be receiving bribes.

While he carries a service revolver (and has studied Krav Maga while on rotation in Israel) , it has been said that the most damage he has done was with his pen and calculator-watch. Others have described him as being able to reduce the room temperature by his mere presence.

It is unknown why he was sent to this station.

I need to make my character, me and Camel Eaters are setting up a side plot.

I guess this will take place in a Mock-LA, so same kind of environment/ethnicities/such like and such so.

This weekend I'll get more crap updated into the main post, and my character added. We'll make a new thread as a Character Database which will be linked on the main page. A Side-Story Database will be added as well, and another thread specifically only for me to post the Main Plot/Storyline as it progresses.

It would be interesting if there was a federal witness being passed through or a ring of corrupt cops working in the station to make things interesting for my character.

I stated it in the main post -

NPCs will be played by me/other appointed NPC mods in order to have an interest going...

IE, this included bad cops. You may also play a bad cop as well.
