Red Tide2

OOC: Because I am deathly bored, I feel like doing something drastic...
DISCLAIMER: This does not reflect my views on either Judiasm or Islam... I just like playing the bad guy.
IC: Red Tide was the best example of how to use terror. The NKVD didnt bother with public executions and records, they simply snatched the trouble maker off the street. After that, he was either shipped to the mines in the Southern Mountains or simply shot, to everybody else... it would look like he just 'disappeared'.
Of course, this was an excellent way of keeping anti-goverment protestors quiet. This was because nobody would know what really happened to them, so rumors would spread... and in the rumors, the fate was far worse then what actually happened. Of course, there were exceptions...
Federin Yazov was the most well known Jewish Rabbi in all of Red Tide. He gave sermons in his Synagogue in the city of Crig. Izist Al-Boyen Mohammed was Red Tides prominent Muslim Imam, who ran a Mosque in the same city. Of course, Red Tides goverment was secular... as long as the religion didnt violate goverment laws, policies, and payed their taxes, they were treated like everybody else. As a matter of fact, hate-crimes were severely punished in Red Tide... like all crimes.
Now, Yazov and Mohammed one day bumped into each other on the streets. Being two prominent religious leaders of their country, they decided to talk to each other. So they went into a nearby restraunt and began to debate, nicely of-course, their respective religions. Eventually, the two began to debate religious law as applied to goverment. Now this was not illegal... until Yazov began using Red Tide as an example. Thats when things went to hell.
"Excuse me gentlemen..." A cold, monotone voice said to the two sitting across from each other. A chill enveloped both Mohammed and Yazov even before they looked to the person the voice came from. Standing there, was a agent of the NKVD.
Once he had gotten their attention, the Agent motioned to Yazov, "You... show me your identification."
Yazov, with a quivering hand, took out his wallet with his ID. The NKVD Agent looked at it, and proceeded.
"Mr. Yazov... You are to come with me." He said.
Yazov nodded and began to stand, but Mohammed blurted, "You cant take him away!"
The NKVD Agent looked at Mohammed, and then said, "You will come with me too."
Mohammed paused, realizing what he had just done. You never, EVER questioned the actions of the NKVD in Red Tide. The Imam stood and stepped away from the dining table... and then lunged at the NKVD Agent.
The Agent reacted instantly, but it was still to slow... the hand was quicker then the eye. The punch went square across the cheek of the Agent, who staggered back in surprise. The Agent quickly recovered and reacted just in time to block the second punch. Then his gun came up...
BLAM!
Mohammed staggered back as the bullet neatly entered his chest and messily exited his back, he stood there for a second, another second... and then collapsed. Yazov, who had stood rooted to the floor in shock, recovered and ran over to his just-found-friend. Mohammed grimaced as he took Yazov's hand, he began to say something... and there was another gunshot, this one to the head at point blank range. Imam Izist Al-Boyen Mohammed died instantly from the second gunshot.
Yazov looked up and stared past the sunglasses on the NKVD Agent and into his eyes. He saw the blank, monotonous expression found on all NKVD Agents faces... the ones that emitted not the single bit of feelings. The NKVD Agent turned to Yazov.
"Get up..." He said, in the same monotonous voice.
Yazov paused, then answered, steadfast and plain: "No."
Rabbi Federin Yazov died several dozen milliseconds later from a gunshot wound to the head.
Of course, unknown to the Agent, was that a foreign journalist was in the resteruant... a journalist who had just filmed the entire scene and was now heading back to his hotel.
OOC2: Any one nation can claim the journalist as his and RP him. The NKVD wont lay a hand on him, for he has not technically done anything against Red Tidean Law.
