There was a massive explosion, a bright white flash engulved the universe, altering time and dimensions, spitting out the beginng of what would become the largest battle of the galaxy(hows that sound, short and sweet)

Kash was sitting on the bridge of his anubis capital ship, a masive explosion engulfed his fleet, after a blink in his eyes he was fine his fleet was in a different position though, maybe the Ori had destroyed the galaxy after taking dakar he thought,

Kash: Jaffa!!! run a scan of our ships and fined out where we are.

Jaffa: We are fine, but we are in a differnt location, scans reported a nearby planet we will jump through hyper space to check it out.

Kash(in his low goa'uld voice) good we will conquire the inhabitants in the name of their new god.

Jaffa: They have there own god?

Kash: You dare defy your god sholva! raising his hand while blasting the jaffa away with his hand device weopon.

Jaffa2: you are indeed all powerful my lord, jumping into hyperspace.

IC:
Lord Grevatious felt the jerk as his ship came out of hyperspace. This system was only supposed to have 5 planets but suddenly there were over 15 planets there. He looked out the front window of his Executor (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Executor-class_Star_Dreadnought)-class Super Star Destroyer and thought to himself. He then turned towards the deck sergent and walked over to him and raised his hand.

"Where are we?" asked Lord Grevatious.

"I don't know, sir." He said

Grevatious then started to form a circle with his hand and the deck officer began to choke. The crew new that Lord Grevatious wasn't that forgiving and if he wanted an answer, you better damn give it to him. He then motioned with his hand to the side and the deck officer flew across the bridge into the wall. But Grevatious knew that didn't kill him, and some medical personel came and took him away. This would be a long week...

THe system Kash was in had 4 planets, 3 from the scans could support life and the other was rich in resources, espeasially naquada.

Jaffa: we are in orbit of one of the planets my lord.

Kash: good send 5 Jaffa to check out the locals.

The ring transport activated and brought thm to the surface

First Prime Gerak(leader of jaffa armys) approached the locals: You will bow before the awsome might of your god Kash.

Villager: we do not worship the god you speak of:

Gerak raised his staff weopon and fired at the mans chest, leaving a dinner plate size plasma burn in his chest, killing him.

some villagers attempeted to kill him and his patrol by shooting crossbows at them. They were mowed down by staff fire.

Gerak approached the village council and started to speak with the leader.

Gerak: we are here to inform you your god has returned

A strange look crossed the mans face: we no not of who you speak.

All of a sudden one of kash's hataks opend up far away from the village causeing devastating damage to the land(hataks can fire a plasma that is can deal the strenghr of 2 200mg nukes).

Gerak: good, now inform the others im sure they will learn to obey.

SIC:
SCENE: Bridge of the Executor SSD
Grevatious watched as the large fleet of 111 Star Destroyers slowly began moving through the system. Lord Grevatious recognised a few of the planets but these others he did not know. He looked back out the main window and waited there for a few minutes before one of the other deck officers approached him. He held up his hand as he thought for another moment then turned to the man.

"Sir. We are in sector 7G but some of these planets are foreign to us. Sensors did show some sort of spacial anomoly occured shorlty before we approached this system and reports are comming in over communications and radio chatter that many planets have been popping up all over the galaxy."

Grevatious looked at him. "So it has happened as I have forseen. An explosion of this magnitude to join together star systems and dimentions could only be caused by one thing alone. Some sort of quantum explosion in the same point in space, on all the different planes."

The deck officer looked at him puzzled.

"We must be quick. Send out search party's. I want 30 flight teams of 10 Tie Advanced starfighters patrolling the quadrants," Grevatious said with a grim tone.

"Yes, Sir!" the deck officer said with a snap salute, then turned and walked over towards a consol and sent the order out...

SCENE: Flight Group Alpha Three Seven
The flight group of Tie Advanced began moving away from the system and as they were sure they cleared the planets they hit their hyperspace engines to move to the next planetary system. They were unsure as to what they'd find in the system where the water planet Kamino is located, but they were preparing themselves for anything...

~~~15 minutes later~~~
The flight group came out of hyperspace in the targeted system. It looked like Kamino had been engulfed by a star and there were new planets as well. Suddenly they noticed on their long range sensors a grouping of starships. The designs were not in any registry known to the Empire, this so called New Republic that took control after the Emperor died, or any other ship manifest that the fleet got their hands on.

"Lord Grevatious. We have run across some sort of fleet of starships."

"Understood. Make contact with them to see if they are hostile. If they are, notify me and the fleet will be there shortly."

"Yes, Sir."

Global IC:
"Fleet of Unknown Ships, this is Orange Thirty Two of the Imperial Alliance. State your purpose in this sector at once."


OOC:
NC, this is basically my scouts running across your ships.

The hataks stood almost still in space thier pyramids glimering,

Jaffa: My lord, our sensors have detectes a vessel appraoching it is hailing us.

Kash: This is Kash of the system lords, the last remanenent of the system lords, Are you working with the Ori.

The hataks charged staff cannons.

The pilot looked confused. He relayed a text message to Lord Grevatious telling him of the situation and then checked his communications again to respond.

"Who the hell are the Ori? I work for Lord Grevatious of the Empire."

Kashs eyes glowed, and he stared at them.

Kash: The Empire, i have never heard of slaves making an empire?

Gliders launched out of the hataks and circlesd the scout ships.

Kash: lower your shields,Prepare to be boarded, and we will talk to you on my ship.

SIC:
"Orange Thirty two to base. They are attempting to surround us."

"This is Grevatious. Hold your ground for now but do not fire. We will be there shortly..."

The pilot then looked out his cockpit window and watched these small what looked to him like support ships surround him. A short text message was sent to the 10 scout ships of this group to bolster their deflector screens to double capacity, this would ensure that they wouldn't fall victim to any attacks within the next few minutes.

GIC:
"Unidentified ships, we have to decline the boarding thing right now. We are awaiting confirmation from our capital ships of orders. Surround us if you wish, but we will not allow you to board us."



OOC:
Just a note. Tie advanced are like small fighters. They are just being used as long range scouts as they are the only Tie vessels that have hyperspace capability and we do not normally use large capital ships to scout area's.

Kash again raised his hand to the jaffas head and put a energy wave into his skull, the man squirmed and and blood came from his mouth,eyes and ears, till he fell dead.

Kull warriors entered the room and stood by kashs side. the jaffa was draged away by others.

IC:
The utter size of the Executor shown as it came out of hyperspace with the rest of the fleet. Being a 19 kilometer long ship, there was quite a bit of defences on it, from turbolasers to torpedo launchers and everything in between. Also, it being surrounded by 110 other Star Destroyers didn't help an enemy get close to it either. The Star Destroyers powered up their weapons while Tie Fighters, Tie Bombers, Tie Advanced, Tie Interceptors, and TIE Hunters were launched from each ship. The scout flight group was relieved that the fleet showed up when it did, they wern't sure how much longer they would have to be sitting here surrounded by these unknown things.

Lord Grevatious walked and looked out the front of the ship at the little fleet that the scouts had found. He turned towards a deck hand.

"Sir. We have picked up that they do have holographic technology. Should we patch into their systems for a holographic meeting?"

"Yes," Grevatious said and then walked over towards his holopad and stood on it. He then turned and awaited it to activate. A message was sent to the other fleet, asking for a holographic meeting.

The MIN Undefeatable emerged through hyperspace. The Undefeatable was one of the 5 new scouting destroyers introduced to the Imperial armada. Its purpose was simple. To explore and search for new worlds to befriend and to conquer those who were hostile.

Although it was designated as a scout vessel, its designers had spared no credit in adding state of the art weaponary and shielding to it.

The Bridge

Commander Maxwell was resting in his command chair when the klaxon alarms began blaring throughout the entire ship. He grumpily awoke from his slumber as he shouted out for status reports.

"Sir, two enemy fleets are engaged in a confrontation over an uncharted planet sir. Scans show the planet is inhabited by primitives. It also appears to be that one side is attempting a hostile takeover of the planet."

"Damn it. Bring us in helm."

"Aye aye captain."

The ship slowly changed heading as it moved towards the battle zone at sublight speed.

A message was sent out to all sides

This is the MIN Undefeatable. Under command of Commander Keith Maxwell. Please inform us of the events leading up to this and the advisable course of action. Any hostile actions will result in similar and uncalled for... reaction. Out.

Upon his order, 10 TIE-II Interceptors were launched from the destroyer's belly hangar, along with 2 Lambada-II class combat shuttles, loaded to the brim with crack Imperial Stormtroopers eager for action as the group headed planetward...

Acknowledged.

The simple word rang throughout the bridge as it conveyed the empire into a new conflict.

The destroyers 6 squadrons of TIE-II Interceptors were launched without delay from the ships' hangars on all 3 sides. Each squadron flew as a fighter screen to cover the allied starships.

They drew away enemy fire and swerved to duck them as the enemy's primitive laser weaponary missed them. Several lucky shots barely managed to nick their energy shields.

Meanwhile the destroyer moved towards the enemy cruisers, in formation with the allied Strike Cruisers. It began laying covering fire. Space lit up as bolts of green and red flashed towards the enemy fighters and ships. Ion Cannon shots were fired to disable shields and photon and turbolaser bolts were used to deal with more... troublesome targets.

The ragtag locust fleet emerged from the portal with a massive jolt. On the deck of the carrier Malfurion, Admiral Raam looked out over his few ships and the large expanse ahead of them. The human craft they were chasing had came into this sector, and Raam had all intentions of killing them off, to the very last man.

"I want all ships to move at three-quarters speed towards vector 260." said Raam to the Navigation Officer on deck.

"Yess, Admiral. Sseting coursse." hissed the Theron officer. The carrier group began to move forward, heading towards the vector believed to hold the human cowards they were chasing.

Kash Saw the fleet and heard the message of surrender, he laughed in his low voice

Kash: you dare threaten me? I will destroy and your ship.

The hataks completly ignored the other Imperial fleet, and began charging weopons and aim at the new fleet.

First Prime: My lord we are sending gliders and alkesh, our hataks are ready to answer, do you want me to power the main weopon.

Kash: Yes.

The top of the ship began to unfold reavleaing the deadly anubis class super weopon(capable of destroying 12 hataks in one blast, but takes about a week to recharge).

Alkesh and gliders flew next to each other raceing towards the new fleet.

IC: The fleet of locust ships finally arrived at the sector. There was a small system there consisting of four planets, just as the scanner had shown before.

"Set a course for the third Planet out." said the Admiral.

"Aye, sir." replied the Theron officer. "Course set for third planet.

The Admiral made his way to the fleetwide broadcast system and brought it to his mouth.

"Attention, troops." he announced. "We have arrived at the star system the cowardly humans have fled to. Ground forces, prepare for hot drop. I want the first transport wing to load up with boomers and Sentinels. All wretches report to your pods. Today will be the day the humans will fall! For the Queen!"

"For the Queen!" erupted the personell on the fleet. All of the expeditionary force troops began to load up onto their pods and transport ships while the fleet moved into drop position.

OCC: by the way the planet you are trying to take is controlled by the armys of Kash.

First prime Gerak observed the pods entering orbit to land.

First Prime: Jaffa! we have reports of enemy vessles approaching, man your positions.

ON BOARD CAPITAL SHIP

Kash: Yes, dispatch a small company of kull warriors to the planet for defence.

Jaffa: Yes my lord.

MIN Undefeatable

"Commander, enemy appears to be utilizing some superweapon. Aimed the allied fleet. "

"Send a warning to them and prepare evasive maneouvours in case they fire it at us!"

"Aye commander."

The Destroyer began preparing itself for evasive maneouvours as it increased shields to max capacity, in anticipation.

Meanwhile a request was sent to Imperial Naval Command for reinforcements, which were promised shortly. A full fledged invasion force was to be sent down, under command of Admiral Bror Jace himself...

After receiving orders from his commanders on the secure allied-battlenet, Commander Maxwell ordered his Star Destroyer to concentrate fire on the enemy flagship, where the superweapon was being housed.

Ion Cannon shots were fired, together with hundreds of Styx Class anti-shield missiles. The ion cannon shots and missiles would hit against the enemy's shields and disable them. There was more than enough firepower to do so.

Turbolaser and Photon Cannons locked onto the enemy cruiser and fired away, accompanied by blasts from the MAC Cannons. Hundreds of Aragon anti-ship missiles and Concussion missiles eagerly departed from their launchers and headed towards the enemy ship.

Strategic jamming systems were also in place to ensure that the enemy could not use PD defense cannons to eliminate the incomming missiles...

The fire drained the Anubis class to 25% shields, the other Hataks quickly opend up on the attacks, gilders and alkesh engage the enemy ships.

The weopon was ready to fire, the apohpis class opend up on the main star destroyer leading the fight, amazing amouts of plasma fire erupted with the fleet.

Jaffa: my lord i suggest you abandon ship to the apophis class,

Kash: very well, he went into the rings and transfered over.

The gliders enaged the enemy fighters along with alkesh, the alkesh made bombing runs on the destroyers.

OOC: I'll get in in a sec, guys, gimme a little time, but no fears, I'll be here.

OCC: Mation dont mess with my players or you will be kicked, do you get me.

"Why are we pulling out of hyperspace?!"

"Unexpected anomoly, High One."

Nom Anor's massive Yuuzhan Vong battlefleet, full of organic warships, pulled out into the battle-torn system.

"Give me a report!" Anor yelled from the bridge of the fleet's command ship.

"Numerous contacts-all techo-fledged-in the area."

"The heretics," Anor spat on the bridge of the Kor Chokk.

"Shall we direct fire, High One?"

"No, advance for the moment. Shields to full and start preparing Coralskippers," Anor commanded.

The Vong fleet advanced, focusing sensors across the board as it moved into defensive formations. Coralskippers across the fleet began warming up to launch in defense.

The recon drop force entered the atmosphere of the planet and sped down towards the ground. As they landed, the Theron Colonel emerged from his pod and began barking orders to the drop troopers.

"Sset up a perimeter immediately!" he hissed. "I want Troika crews on each corner, STAT."

The teams of four grunts began moving the heavy double mounted MG's over to the positions specified by the Colonel as the other troops and Boomers moved out to secure the area.

OCC: May I join this, its rare I get to play Ft, I dont care whose side I am on.

The Peoples Freedom's fleet dropped out of Faster-Than-Light speed.

They weren't sure what to attack or who, but they were there now.

The leader of the fleet was the TPFS Silent Justice, She was a grand warship, a Heavy Dreadnought, she was the most powerful ship TPF owned. She bristled with rail guns, fusion cannons, fusion beams, Gravity cannons, missile launchers, and particle beams. She was the leader of the fleet, which included around one hundred additional warships, as well a couple dozen Army and Marine divisions. They would soon sort out the mess and begin to engage whatever enemy force they deemed.

The jaffa heard of the enemy forces setting up camp, and were going to begin a assualt.

Jaff: Gerak, we havereports of an enemy encampment, should we attack?

Gerak: just send a kull warrior, it will put them in place.

THe kull warrior just started walking towards the base, with cold effiecnety he would kill all of them.

I may have to put this on hold for a little bit. Hataria is trying to pick a fight with me (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12580703&postcount=27) and that type of operation would take more and more time of my day. As if trying to start up a business and find a 2nd job is time consuming enough...

Locust Base

The Troika team spotter stood in the portable tower and peered out over the field. He spotted a single creature moving towards them, and following protocol, reported it in.

"Hostile moving towards base!" he shouted.

A Theron Colonel looked up from his table and then over to the Troika teams. "Commence fire." he hissed.

The Troika teams jumbled up from their spots and readied the death machine for action. "Attack!" screamed the squad commander as the team opened up on the creature. The spotter began firing sic round bursts at the creature, marking its position for the troika gunners.

The kull warriors armor richocheyed the rounds with easy, he continued to walk towards the position not firing.

" Alright, we will move into orbit around the planet. We will achieve naval superiority and then bombard their forces. Then the groundlubbers will land. Set a course to the planet."

Soon, the massive fleet began to head towards the planet. They maintained a good space between them, their huge fusion engines blasting. If the ships used those engines in a planetary atmosphere, any city in the area would be destroyed. But they weren't entering the atmosphere. Their particle beams and godrods would be the weapons used.

OOC: These are double barreled, 20mm AP rounds...I don't see how some Symbiote crap can stop a constant spray of that. Oh well, time for the boomers.

IC: "Colonel, the Troikas are innefective!" shouted the gun commander.

"Acknkowledged." the Theron said. "I want a Boomer team up here!" Two Boomers, a Theron Guard, and five Grenadiers ran up to the front line.

"BOOM!" roared the Boomer as he blasted the Quad rocket out of his boomshot. The grenadiers began lobbing grenades at the incoming hostile while the Theron Guard raised his assault rifle and began spraying ammo downway.

The armored suits worn by Kull Warriors were fused to the genetically grown hosts. The helmet itself was made of two pieces, one being the helmet itself and the other being a kind of breathing filtration system which would, presumably, supplement the host's vastly inefficient organ system. The suits are impervious to most projectile weapons, Goa'uld energy weapons, and explosives. The armor was also capable of rendering force fields intangible, allowing the Kull Warrior to walk through shielded locations with no problems.

However, after much study, ways to kill the Warriors were devised. Fine-point trinium darts can penetrate the weave of a warriors' suit, allowing others to administer either tranquilizers or toxins in an attempt to kill or render the Warrior unconscious. The Kull Disruptor, a weapon devised specifically to kill Kull Warriors, was eventually devised by the humans and the Tok'ra using an Ancient Healing Device found in South America. This weapon is capable of bringing the Kull down in one shot, although it does not actually injure or damage the Warrior, it simply neutralizes the effects of the Healing Device that was used to give it life in the first place; leaving the Warrior in its pre-life state. A sufficiently powerful concussive force can also kill a Kull Warrior, the effects of the blast translated through the armor even though the armor itself remains intact. Also, the armor provided no defense against Ancient Drone Weapons, which seemed to disintegrate the Kull upon touching them.

It is never explained how seemingly plastic armour has these capabilities, but then such is the risk of playing with plot devices intended for completely different mediums.

The Jaffa and kull warriors maned their positions, staff cannons were set up to make a decent perimeter.

Gerak: We must prepare for an attack on our position, may Kash shine on you.

SPACE

The Anubis class was crippled but not destoyed, the fighting in space had become brutil 4/20 hataks were destroyed, and Alkesh and Gliders were still engaged in the battle over the world.

Space

Kash: send out a squadron of gliders to the surface, back them up with 3 alkesh.

Jaffa: yes my lord, sending orders.

The ships turned from the battle and sped towards the surface.

Three gliders turned after detecting the enemy pods, staff cannons upend for combat readyness, they approached the pods and engaged.

"I need Nemacyst." hissed the Theron Ground Commander. Aboard the Capital ship, three large pods fell into the atmosphere. Inside were flying, squidlike creatures, basically suicide flyers used to nail positions or aircraft with high kinetic energy.

The doors snapped open and the "squiddies" began to pour out. One pod was blasted and lost control, hurtling towards the ground. The squiddies got thier bearings, then turned to counterattack the craft. As the plasma raked across them, many popped into black clouds of blood. Still, they pressed on, gaining speed and readying for their death.

Pilot: turned, turn!!.

The alkesh started towards the enemy base, to make a bombing run.

The Alkesh droped plasma bombs and began to turn for another run, the free gliders came in on strafing runs.

Gerak: mobilize a ground assault, we taking the fight to them.

Jaffa: Yes, master Gerak.

300 Jaffa and 30 kull warriors advanced towards the enemy position.

OOC: Kind of, most of the damage is just them punching through the ship.

IC: The Nemacyst saw the planes turn and began to follow. Ground forces began to mobilize, the troikas turning to the sky. Unfortunately, the mobilization was slow, with only a few troops looking at the sky by the time the attack came.

also, my nation is new, but im not new to NS...used to be Nebarri_Prime...if any remember me...decided i would go for NS again and here i am...

i use mixed Stargate tech and troops btw...from the Alterans, Goa'uld, Tau'ri, Wraith, Ori, Unas, Jaffa, and Replicators...though using all that could give me an ungodly advantage(say a Goa'uld infested Wraith with Kull armor...or a massed fleet of Replicator warships...or them Ori Priors...) to avoid unfairness i wont be using massed Replicators or Priors...

though on of my main characters is a Goa'uld infested Wraith...(a Wraith that has recently eaten can take maybe 10 shots from a P90 and almost instantly recover and can toss a man quite a distance...a Goa'uld only boosts this and reduces the need for a Wraith to feed)

Nom Anor's massive Yuuzhan Vong battlefleet, full of organic warships, pulled out into the battle-torn system.

"Give me a report!" Anor yelled from the bridge of the fleet's command ship.

"Numerous contacts-all techo-fledged-in the area."

"The heretics," Anor spat on the bridge of the Kor Chokk.

"Shall we direct fire, High One?"

"No, advance for the moment. Shields to full and start preparing Coralskippers," Anor commanded.

The Vong fleet advanced, focusing sensors across the board as it moved into defensive formations. Coralskippers across the fleet began warming up to launch in defense.

Commander Maxwell was anxiously gripping the armrests of his command chair as the battle unfolded. It was dusturbing that the battle was escalating by the minute, with even the feared Yuuzan Vong entering the area.

Nonetheless they had been drilled and equipped in dealing with the Vong so they shouldnt be much of a problem.

He was extremely relieved when the ensign at the station reported that the reinforcements had arrived. War had been declared...

MIN Iron Hand - Imperial Battle Armada 2

Admiral Sith Lord Bror Jace smiled as his flagship exited hyperspace, surrounded by forces of the Battle Armada. It was a sight and a force to behold. The Executor-II Class Super Star Destroyer slowly rotated to face the battesite and accelerated towards it.

The armada too followed suit. They began charging up all weaponary and shielding as the Super Star Destroyer charged up its newly added on weapon - the superlaser.

Besides the superlaser, it was armed with tons of other weaponary ranging from Turbolasers to Nova Cannons to MAC Cannons. It would crush anything in its way. Even the enemy superweapon would barely scratch its powerful gravitational wedge shielding and energy shields. It also had several back-up shield generators should they manage to disable the primary shields...

A message was sent to all sides:

"This is the Imperial 2nd Battle Armada. W are here to liberate the planet from the grip of the merciless invaders who have brutally taken over the world by force, killing hundreds and thousands of innocent civillians in the process. They will be utterly destroyed."

Holographic videos of acts of tyranny and opression commited by the invaders were also sent to all parties to send home a strong signal...

Meanwhile, 5 VenatorII Star Destroyers detached from the formation with the escort of 4 Starfighter Wings and 2 Starbomber Wings and headed planetward. The Venator IIs were a direct upgrade from the Venator and packed increased shielding, firepower and carrying capacity.

The Venators headed towards the planet and entered the atmosphere before slowly descending down onto the planet surface. After locating a Landing Zone, the venators thundered over, Light turbolasers firing, clearing any opposition in sight while the starfighters swarmed around, providing close contact defense while the starbombers went out to perform strafing runs on unwary enemy formations.

The Venators landed on the planet surface with a tremendous thud, sending vibrations throughout the planet's suface in the nearby vicinity. Their massive belly bays opened as a combined force of 200,000 Imperial Stormtroopers poured out, followed by hundreds of assualt tanks, hover tanks, Mobile artillery, Plasma artillery and worst of all... AT-ATs, AT-TEs and MT-XTs. Two huge vehicles on tracks rumbled out and created a massive dome shield around the entire peacekeeping force while they deployed...

"Commander, enemy gliders closing in. Enemy light bombers conducting straffing runs."

"Order Wing 1 to break off and intercept both enemy groups lieutenant."

"Yes sir!"

Immediately the order was relayed and a total of 144 TIE-II Interceptors (one wing) broke off from fighter screen formation and moved forward to engage the enemy gliders.

As they zoomed towards the enemy gliders, their shielding was transferred to front deflectors and they began opening fire with their quad laser cannons while the triple chain laser turrets on their chins began automatically locking on to enemy targets and unleashing a hail of deadly laser bolts.

Several also fired off Concussion Missiles and Seeker Missiles at the enemy bombers and gliders. They were aided by quad turbolaser, light ion cannon and PD cannons from the landed venators.

Several mobile AAL vehicles rumbled forward to the edge of the shield zone, escorted by several platoons of stormtroopers and assualt tanks before opening fire round after round of anti aircraft laser beams and anti-aircraft missiles...

Meanwhile the rest of the Imperial 90th Army formed up and began systematically moving forward, the shield trucks porjecting the shield dome moving forward with them. All opressors were to be vanquished.

The Venators, having done their deloyment jobs, activated their heavy energy shields again and awaited further pick-up/deployment orders from 2nd Naval Command.


Orbit

Thousands of Imperial TIE-II Interceptors, TIE-II Fighters and TIE-II Defenders launched from their mother ships' hangars and raced towards the enemy in broken arrow formation 5 while their mother ships slowly closed in on the enemy behind them, their full array of weapons opening fire.

Turbolaser, Ion Cannon, Proton, MAC, Plasma shells/bolts were fired en masse at the enemy fleet, accompanied by thosands of Proton Torps, Concusssion Missiles, vengeance Missiles and Truncheon torpedoes.

The Nova Cannons and Nova torpedo launchers stood on standby to eliminate any heavy threat. The superlaser was there for that reason too. Hundreds of eager Lambada and Gamma assult shuttles lay waiting in the hangar bays, waiting for Admiral Jace's orders to commence the boarding of surrendered enemy vessels.

Should they refuse to surrender, they'd be mercilessly destroyed...

(Many voices in unison)...."multiple energy signatures detected! Indicates multiple technologically advanced species in Unimatrix 3-2-5, Grid 0-0-6."

"Tactical cube 2-3-7 diverted to assess the technology"

Hours later a transwarp conduit dispersed and the cube shaped monolith emerged. 28 cubic kilometers in volume and 3,036meters square. Multi-adaptive shields, auto-regenerative hull, and reinforced with ablative hull plating.

The com channel opened and a voice... no 115,000 voices called out in unison, one message:
"We are the Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile!"

Then it locked onto its first target.....

More than two hundred were fired.

Orbit

5 Imperial MkIV Star Destroyers, supported by 8 VictoryIII Star Destroyers, 20 Champion Class Gunboats and 4 Mobile Wing Carriers broke formation and moved to meet the new threat.

The collectives were known to be powerful and were feared, but they could be defeated. Their tech was cobbled together from a assortment of captured enemy technology and equipment.

From afar, the Star Destroyers opened fire with an unending barrage of Photon and Turbolaser bolts, coupled with Ion Cannon rounds and Truncheon Torpedoes to kill off the borg cube's shields.

Proton and Concussion Missiles were then fired off in the hundreds towards the enemy cube as they were supported by Laser Cannon fire from the gunboats...
