Vassal and his command squad rolled from a landing craft, piloting their mighty tanks.
Vassal noted his surroundings.

"I was right. Bring the materials on-shore, and set up a base here."

"Yes sir."

Vassal surveyed his troops leaving the craft, and arranging into formation. As they formed into regiments, he adressed them.

"Take a look at where you are. Soon, this will be ours. The very soil will belong to us! All who resist- DIE!"

The crowd roared their approval. Satisfied, Vassal climbed into his tank, and drove tho the command tent. Once there, they would make preperations for the first strike...

At the Pacific Ocean

The 4th Army was on their way to Grauada, being deployed by the Hercules aircrafts. Tanks, infantrymen, engineers, and medics were about to fight for the future of the SSU.

"Ok soldiers, grab your helmet and weapon. Zulu and Fox Company are being deployed to scan the area. Good Luck Soldiers." Said Colonel General Tasky, Commanding 1st Division.

Lt. Busky checked his men and their weapons. Ran to the commanding office to meet Colonel Henson. "Sir, 2nd Platoon Zulu Company are ready to be deployed." Colonel Henson grabbed his pistol and gave it to Lt. Busky. "Lt, good luck remember Not One Ste Backwards!"

2nd Platoon formed lines at deck and boarded the Ka-27 Helicopters. Busky was nervous he had just had a baby and knew his wife couldn't live without a husband and a father for his baby. "Lt, landing T minus 30 Seconds" said the pilot. "Understood, pilot. Ok boys prepare for landing, grab your weapons!"

Lt. Busky and his men got out of the helicopters and scanned the area. They separated and searched in near forests. "Corporal, tell Colonel Henson Zone 1 and 2 are clear, not even animals habitate these zones."

"Kilo 1 this is Wolfhound 2, Zone 1 and 2 are clear. Forces can land, everuthing is clear, over."

The pilots easily knew what the situation was "All unknown forces are to be treated as hostile unless otherwise told, any questions?" he then said to the pilots of the full room "sir, when we spot ground targets shall we report them or engage?" a pilot asked "report to receive confirmation that they are enemy once you have that and only when you have that, engage" he told them "alright dismissed get to your craft" he told them as he dismissed them and left the room.

A pilot was running across the deck to his craft when a member of the flight crew ran over "sir your crafts weapons are loaded and ready to go, good luck" he said to the pilot "thanks" he said as he reached his spearhead fighter.

"Systems green commander, we're clear to launch aircraft" one of the officers in the CIC said to the combat commander "Good launch all craft" he said "roger, ground crews this is CIC, system all green please launch all craft" the officer then said.

The pair of Destroyers made their way around the island, covering the marching troops from naval assault. The force was racing through grassland, one objective in mind.

They were building.

As some troops set up a peremiter wall of sandbags, others began to set up porta-tents and fortifications. The base was crude, but it did well for a command post. The comms-man was trying to raise contact with the main base behind the mountains, but there was a lot of interference.

"We're on our own now." thought the force commander, Markos Vueriel.

He looked at his troops. It was only a matter of time before one of their enemies came this way. The base was ready for them.

"This is Alpha One, area clear" came from the lead pilot in the group providing air cover. That message was recived by the landing craft and troops began to deploy on the beach. The men ran onto the beach "move, move, move, every one assume defensive formation delta, go, go, go" one of them yelled. Larger transports also began to land with portable anti-armour and anti-air emplacements. They would set up a base at the edge of the jungle and move from there. As the vehicles landed troops began making room for a base of operations.

At Pacific Air

At the Hercules Aircrafts, 4th Army prepared to be deployed at land. "Alright boys prepare your gear, landing is on 1 minute. Area Scan is ready, expect no contact just guard for some hours until Generals arrive."

The Grauada skies were full of parachuters. You could see them from all the island. Captain Krayki arrived from boats hakf an hour later. "Good job gentlemen. Now, everyone knows we're not alone, foreign forces are on the other sides of the island of the island or just tight besides us. But we can't see any shit with these fucking mountains. So, genetlemen Bravo and Alpha Companies will check the surrounding mountains this time. Good Luck, gentlemen."

"Colonel, Alpha and Bravo Companies are ready." Said Captain Krayki
"Good, good. Permission Granted for deployement." Said Colonel Junji

5th Platoon commanded by Lt. Husky arrived at the mountains. "Sniper, come here watch the area, BUT DON'T SHOOT! Check where are other forces stationed." Sgt. Gongi garbbed his sniper, focused the lens and did an amused face. "Holy crap sir, the Island is full of soldiers. There are already combat on the sides, sir." Lt. Husky watched his men. "Soldiers, this will be a tough battle. Corporal, get the radio here. Message HQ and tell them the island is full we are completely surrounded but protected by the mountains."

"Kilo 1 this is Fox 5, island is ful of troops but we are protected by mountains, over."

Lt Barnes Thought to himself will they be Captured. will the Soldiers Chase them or Maybe they did even see them.

"Come on, put your back's into it people! We need this place surrounded by sand bags" the leader of one of the battalions said to the troops as they filled sand bags for the base. They started at the front of the base and worked there way back, it wasn't just a standard wall, and they had dug bunkers and trenches. It was a vary elaborate network they were setting up, barbed wire, anti-aircraft, artillery, and other defences were being set up in the complex. Already a command tent had been set up in the middle of the camp. Inside the tent were the missions leading commanders "alright what’s the situation?" one asked "we got forces moving in from here, here, and here. Best plan is to use Naval guns to hit them hard if they get to close" another said "until the base is fully operational we can't do much when it comes to offensive action" yet another said "air strikes we can still do, Fire hawks are high altitude bombers" one of the other officers said to them.

The forward base completed, Schavakia's troops began building trenches, assembling AA guns, and other fortifications.

"Sir, possible enemy sighting on the radar!" Urged the radar operator.

"Defensive positions!" bellowed Vueriel.

At Regimental Headquarters

Lt. General Brasovsky commanding the 4th Army arrived to land after a trip of 5 hours. He was heavily guarded, 15 guards with AK-101 each. He walked to the commadn post and saluted Colonel Henson that was watching some maps of the island. "Colonel, hows the situation." said Brasovsky. He grabbed some maps and looked them surprised. "Ummm, it's not so good sir. We are surrounded by mountains, but it can protect so it's not so bad sir." said Colonel Henson.

"Well, we gotta start the action. The enemies won't kill themselves so go sending some bombers first."He watched his wrist watch and saw it was getting closer to midnight. "Perfect for an air strike, Colonel." Henson turn himslef and saw Lt. Busky and the 2nd Platoon cleaning their AK-101. "Ok General, I'll order an air strike inmediately so good luck, sir." Henson grabbed Brasovsky hand. "Good Bye Colonel, I'll expect a good report."

Colonel Henson got the radio. "PILOTS OF THE 2ND AIR DIVISION. ATTENTION. PREPARE YOUR GEAR BE AT HQ AT 0130 HOURS FOR FURTHER INTELL." Captain Vassili commander of his Su-27 bomber heard the message and inmediately grabbed his helmet and gear. "C'mon everyone! We gotta be at HQ in 10 minutes. I think we'll bomb some idiots today! YEAH!"

"sir base is almost up and running" a soldier reported to one of the commanding officers "good, send out some recon and engineering teams, plant motion sensors and traps, anti-infntry and anti armour" the commander told him. The soldier saluted and ran away to some working soldiers "Alright Alpha, Charlie and Fox companies up front, get Echo and Hotal squads from the 63rd engineering corp up here" he shouted, the men the quickly got in line. The soldier pointed to some equipment "alright your all moving out to scout the forest, the engineering teams will set up anti-infentry and anti-armour traps as they go, and remember to mark them on your map, but mark them as something else incase you get captured" he told them. The men saluted and grabbed there gear to move out for the forest.

Regimental Headquarters

Pilots of the 2nd Air Division arrived to HQ with their gear in their hands. They were excited about this first mission. Captain Vassili payed close attention to Colonel Henson that came in.
"Good Night Gentlemen, plans have bee changed a slight bit. We will not attack at the first chance. We will send little squadrons first to recon for AA Guns. Pilots, we can't afford to lose aircrafts, this is a decisive battle. You will take off at 0230 hours. Good Luck, Gentlemen."
Captain Vassili knew he wasn't going to take off first. So he went to hs fellow comrades that Commanded their Su-25 fighters for recon. He was angry with his fellow bomber pilots.

At SSS Aircraft Carrier Lenin

Lt. Busky entered his Su-25 fighter along with 24 other fighters. His mission was clear, eliminate all AA weaponry located along their mountains. He was nervous, this was his first mission after his terrible accident in an Aircraft Drill.

The Su-25 first squadron took off in direction to the mountains.
"Ok Squadron, we'll separate and look for AA Weaponry. Remember seek and DESTROY!"

The men walked through the warm jungle forest "man so many damn bugs" one commented "ah shut it" another said to him. A engineering squad was with them and they stopped at a perfect place for a anti-tank trap. They began to dig in several spots to ly the explosives in the ground. They didn't dig to deep and once they barried the explosives they covered the area with dirt and gravel to cover up the fact that they had been digging. The forcast called for rain which would help even more.

Schavakia's snipers moved through the sand dunes of the southern beaches like ghosts. Their role was to eliminate stragglers, and watch the seas for enemy ships. They had clearance for air strikes, and they had a vulcan with them also. They were trained well in the art of waiting...

The Sea patrol was still moving past the mineral- laden island to the north, and their guns were trained on the shore parallel to them.

The first squadron flew all over the island. "This is Fox 5, no AA weaponry found in my area, over." Pilots searched the island, nothing. "Roger Fox 5, keep your eyes open."The first squadron flew over enemy base camp and took photographs of enemy operations. "Wow, they're busy down there. These pictures will help." First Squadron leader took the point of the V-Formation. "Fox 5 to first squadron, everyone bomb surroundings of the mountains, enemy soldiers can be spying up there." Every SU-25 emptied their Bombs and machine guns. "Good job gentlemen, HQ says back to base."

The heavy payload rained on the snipers. Many screamed as they burned to ash, others simply exploded.

The patrols and engineers returned to the now complete base with maps and a general idea of the land scape. As they walked into the base the sky grew dark and it began to rain hard. The troops put there rain gear on and continued to man there positions. The rain was coming down so hard they had to use buckets to keep the bunkers and fox holes clear. The rain was turning the ground to mud making it hard for vehicles to move. although the rain would make it almost impossible to spot the anti-vehicle and anti-personal mines and traps they set in the jungle.

Tanks and Infantry sat wait to see if Socialist States Union recent tank movements spot by a UAV would come their way.While a small group of AntiTank
Helicopters and Support Helicopter pilots were getting ready to suit up for flight.
Down at the Main base soldiers were offloading food and supplies from a support vessels.The Torrential downpour had made it a little hard to work.
