Tragedy Strikes at the Heart of Ibinius... (Open)
"Excellency?" Lieutenant Erikson knocked on the heavy oak double doors that led to the Emperors personal chambers. Lieutenant Erikson waited patiently for an answer, when it became obvious that one was not forthcoming, he knocked again; "Excellency, your transport is here."
Emperor Rudolph Romanova heard the knocking on the door and ignored it; he hoped that if he refused to answer then maybe the person knocking would go away...
"Excellency?" finnally Rudolph gave in and yelled for the man to enter. Lieutenant Erikson walked in and bowed, "Praise be to the Holy Emperor." The Emperor merely looked down at Erikson, waited a moment then motioned for Erikson to rise. Lieutenant Erikson waited for the emporer to speak, when it was clear that the emperor had no interest in talking Erikson set in...
"Emperor, you transport is here. They are waiting to take you to your palace in Maine. There are 120 escort Home Guard soldiers here for security." Erikson waited for a response, when in the presence of the emperor, you spoke your piece and went no further. It was a grave offence to interupt the emperor or prevent His Excellency from speaking.
"What is you name soldier?" Rudolph asked.
"Lieutenant First Class Travis I. Erikson of the Imperial Home Guard, Excellency." Erikson stood straight and looked straight ahead as the emperor evaluated him.
"Good work Lieutenant, tell Colonel Richards that I will be outside shortly. Leave me." Erikson turned on his heal and promptly marched out of the personal chambers of the emperor.
Once the Lieutenant was gone Rudolph sat down in the chair behind his desk and examined his room...the desk sat directly in front of the large oak, double doors. To his right was another door that led to his state room, to his right was a very large window overlooking the east of White Square, and behind him was another large window overlooking the southern part of the square. On each side of the doors in front of him were portraits of his deceased reletives, emperors and empresses passed. He sighed as memories of not being burdened by rule rushed in to his head, times had been so much simpler when he had been but the Crown-Prince of what was once an economically powerful Ibinius. The country had flourished under the rule of his father, Emperor Charles Romanova. That had been twenty-eight years ago; a massive heart-attack had taken Rudolph's father from him when he was seven, Rudolphs mother ruled in his stead until he was seventeen. He had been known as the emperor for eighteen years. In that time, Rudolph had seen three major conflicts, all of which Ibinius was defeated, and now his nation was on the brink of economic collapse, so much so, that it couldn't even maintain an Army.
"Can I rule a broken nation for much longer? I don't believe I will live long enough to know the answer..." Rudolph muttered to himself. He scratched his chin and peered down at the stackes of bureaucratic nonsense that cluttered his desk. Papers from the Ministry of the Military, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Economics, the Ministry of Human Welfare, the Ministry of the Treasury. All proclaiming the same as each other, Ibinius was on the verge of economic and social collapse....or worse.
Rudolph was tore out of his thoughts by a sharp rap on the door. Rudolph was temporarily angered when the door opened. He had not gave permission for anyone to enter; who does Erikson think he is....it was Crown-Prince Ryan Romanova, Rudolph's son and heir to the imperial crown.
Crown-Prince Ryan looked almost exactly like his father, tall and then, but heavely built around the shoulders and chest; both had black hair and light blue eyes.
"What is it son?" Rudolph asked. Conrad pointed behind him with his thumb.
"The motorcade has arrived, Staff Sergeant Alex Stevens was sent to my room to bring me out; I was just making sure you knew."
"Yes, Erikson was just here, jittery fellow that man. I thought he was going to faint. I may be the emporer, but I am still but a man." they both chuckled at this; both father and son were used to people quivering in their presence. Even Conrads mother, Empress Alexandria Romanova, feared the two men. She remained empress only by the grace of Conrads father.
Rudolph stood and reajusted his coat, and walked over towards his son.
"One day this will all be yours my son," Rudolph took a quick glance of the surrounding, "the nations of your fathers. When I am gone, I trust you will pull Ibinius out of the hole I have seemed to put it in so efficiently." Conrad grinned at his fathers joke.
"Of course I will father, lets go, you don't want to keep all your loyal Home Guard soldiers waiting in the cold."
"Yes lets." Rudolph walked out of the room, his son following suit.
All of the soldiers snapped to attention when the front doors of the Imperial White Palace opened. Out came Emperor Rudolph, and Crown-Prince Conrad. Both were smiling as they spoke to each other on the way down the marble steps. When the reached the summit of the steps Rudolph greeted them,
"Good evening, shall we be off then?"
"Yes, Excellency." they all said in unison. Several of the men raced forward to open the doors for the Emperor, the Crown-Prince soon joined his father in the back of a black armored SUV. Behind and in front, were three APC's with
.50 caliber machine guns on the roof, manned by a highly skilled Imperial Home Guard Soldier. All seven of the vehicles started up at nearly the same time. Before the motorcade moved, several German-Sheperds walked around each vehicle, behind the dogs were men with mirrors attached to poles searching under the cars for anything that pointed to an assassination atempt.
A thunderous crashing sound tore into the night, the front gates of White Square burst open, five sedans raced towards the motorcade. Several men ran forward and opened fire along will the .50 caliber machine guns on the APC's. Rounds hit the first sedan on the tires and through the windshield, the car turned violently to the right and flipped over, skidding along the pavement for 20 or 30 meters before exploding. The other four sedans continued to race forward.
"Go! Go! Get the Emperor out of here!" Erikson screamed at the driver of the SUV. The truck sped forward and made a swift U-Turn and headed for the back gates of White Square all the while .50 cal. rounds exploded into the night. The ground shook with several more explosions. Conrad looked back, the APC's were engulfed in flames, scattered bodies lay among the tattered remains of the sedans.
The SUV sped around the corner...and smashed into and oncoming truck, the explosion of the bombs in the truck killed the driver and the emperor instantly. The blast drove the Crown-Prince through the back window and onto the pavement. His ribs and arms were broken and his body severly burned. He groaned softly, he tried to turn his head when he heard the sound of footsteps coming towards him. His vision began to tunnel...the last thing he heard was 'Death to the Monarchy...'
(OOC: I will continue this in a few miniutes. Is this any good?")
Empress Alexandria collapsed to her knees when she was informed that Emperor Rudolph, and her son Conrad had been killed by a car bomb. She was usually so...so unfeeling when it came to matters such as these. Not today; her family was dead, all she had left was Jessica. Now Heir Apparent to the throne of Ibinius. Alexandria felt no love for her red-haired daughter.
Jessica had also fell into a violent fit of tears when she learned that her father and brother were both dead. Shortly after the fatal attack at White Square, both she and her mother had been picked up by the Imperial Home Guard and taken to the Imperial Palace in Maine, where they were put under guard round-the-clock. This act of regicide threw the nation into political chaos. By legal right, and birth right. Jessica Romanova should inherit the throne that was originally intended for her brother Conrad. The line of succession had been permentally altered.
Now, both Jessica and Alexandria sat in the common room of the Imperial Palace in Maine. They both watched the television as the reporters recounted the events. Security cameras in the area had caught the attack on tape. Jessica and her mother had watched two members of their family die six times that day.
Jessica got up and turned off the television. She looked at her mother, now her subject by law. An odd twist of fate she thought, the cold, demanding persona of her mother no longer controlled her. She left the room and strolled up the steps to her room.
Down in the common room Alexandria turned the television back on, she watched the explosion that killed her beloved son and husband over and over again. The pain welled up inside. She walked over to her late husbands desk and retrieved a silver pistol from the lower drawer. She turned and looked at the large portrait of Rudolph. It would soon be torn down and replaced by an equally large, equally grand portrait of her daughter. The thought was unbearable. She methodically checked the chamber, put the barrel next to her right temple and pulled the trigger. Three members of the Romanova dynasty were now dead within a day...
The Queen was sipping her tea when the footman brought in the morning's papers. She nodded silently, slowly breathing in the tea fumes, waking her, getting her ready for another day's ruling. The footman placed the papers, bowed and promptly left the room.
The Queen flipped through a couple of them, and opened her favourite paper, The Guardian. On the first page sat a gruesome picture of a massacre, and the headline screamed "Tragedy in Ibinius. Emperor dead."
The Commonwealth of Irixia
To whoever may receive this message:
The Commonwealth of Irixia expresses its deep regret at the death of your Emperor. We understand that hostile, revolutionary forces have commited this atrocity, and would like to inform the loyal, imperialist forces that Irixia is ready to stand by and assist in the defence of your great ruling Family. Only once the Emperor is restored may there be civil negotiations.
HM Queen Atani I
Crowned Sovereign of the Commonwealth of Irixia
Jessica stood silently as limp body of her mother was carried out of the common room. The gunshot had startled her and she had ran down the stairs into the room, only to be confronted by the arms of the Imperial Home Guard telling her to stand back. They believed another assassination had just taken place. In reality the late Alexandria had taken her own life. Jessica now stood alone in the world, the last of the Romanova Dynasty.
For the rest of the night, while she slept, Imperial Home Guards patrolled the corridors around her room. She fell a sleep to the dull thump of the boots marching up and down the hallway. Two Majors stood at either side of the door on the inside constantly watching her. She didn't mind. She felt numb from the events of the last day. Her father, mother, and brother were dead. She had inherited and empire that was not supposed to be hers. She was viewed by the people of her nation as inadequate, just like her mother, because she was a woman. 'All is not lost..' she thought to herself as she drifted into the silent embrace of sleep.
'All is not lost...'
The next morning she was awoken by a Staff-Sergeant, he had in his hands a diplomatic telegram...it was from the Sovereign in Irixia. Jessica went down into the dining room and ate a light breakfast. The common room had been cordoned off, so she went up into her brothers room and sat at his desk...fond memories brought tears to her eyes. She pushed them away and instead focused on the task at hand. She opened up a secure line on the ImperialNet and began to type...
To HM Queen Atani I
I thank you for your concern about the well being of my family and my country. My father is dead, as well as my brother, and mother; but all is not lost my dear Queen. These radicals will be brought to caught and executed. I am now the crowned ruler of the Holy Empire of Ibinius. When this whole mess is finnally dealt with, and becomes but another sad chapter in my nations history; I wish for you to come visit the Palace in White Square and attend my corronation. I will be officially crowned Holy Empress on the same ground on which my family died. This is the ultimate revenge, and another way for me to avenge their wrongful deaths.
Empress Jessica Romanova
It had been a tense day. Reports were constantly coming in from Ibinius about the assassinations, the television said nothing else. As dusk finally settled, the Queen fidgeted as she reminded herself, yet again, of the telegram she had sent to the Imperial Family. No answer yet. Nothing.
As she sat on her bed in Vetilar Palace, watching the sun slowly drop into the rolling savannah of Irixia, a messenger edged in. In his hand was a telegram. "Your Majesty...." he began, but the Queen knew what it was. Quickly she took it, and the messenger left.
Breathing in slowly, she opened it, and read every word.
"She wants you to attend her coronation?" The Prince was shocked.
"Yes," said the Queen, he hands shaking. "The poor woman. I don't think she is very old. I desire to go, and I believe the Royal Family should come too."
"But," the Prince retorted, "isn't it rather dangerous there at the moment? Especially for a royal!"
"Her coronation isn't until they deal with the rebels. I really want to help her. Oh, I do hope nothing like this ever happens in Irixia. I am just glad that the public do not hate us."
"So, what do you intend to do?"
"See what aid they might need. And, later on, attend her coronation. I'll send a telegram off now."
The Commonwealth of Irixia
Empress Jessica Romanova,
I am honoured by your invitation to your coronation, and you have every guarantee that I shall be in attendance, along with my family.
I cannot imagine the horrors you have gone through, and I would like to aid you in any way that you might desire. Owing to the current situation there, I would not be able to come now, but I am willing to assist you militarily and well as economically if you so desire.
With humblest regrets,
Queen Atani I
Crowned Sovereign of the Commonwealth of Irixia
President Romescu of Lerasia stood in a tight circle of his closest, most trusted friends.
"how is Truka doing in that press conference?" Romescu asked
Fien Goreda Minister of Security, a tall, slim man with droping jowls and sliked black hair spoke "I havent heard anything of it, who cares least we got him out of our sight for a while. But Romescu i must ask, my Aide told me that you have halted construction of the Government Town houses, when will we be able to move in"
Romescu smiled "well my friend i'm sorry to inform you that the governmnet has run out of funds but i have instead given you an afforable gift, the construction of your new town houses will be completed just not on schedule, but how would you like your own brand new BMW, there waiting in the car park....."
Romescu was cut off my a desperate looking aide that appeared up to Romescu with a peice of paper.
"I'm so sorry, great leader but their is urgent news!"
Romescu's wrinkled face contorted into a confused and angry expression
"what!? what is it?" romescu spat in a highly animated screach
"It appears the government in Ibinius is in trouble of revolution, frustration has boiled over and the nation is in revolution"
Romescu all of a sudden looked frightened, Lerasia was a straight jacket society if the revolution succeeds it might cause a chain of events that will geta hold in Lerasia and threaten his power
then romescu looked smug
"just dont report about it" Romescu smurked
"why should Lerasia care what is happening around the world, they dont need to hear about revolution, dont report on an event, maybe mention about the imperial family dieing, but other than that the news should be encouraging"
Romescu geustured for the Aide to leave and he continued talking about the BMW waiting for his friends and a new pay rise for their hard work
Richard Evins sat at his computer, reading a thread on the Internet about the death of the Emperor. His friends were on line and they were all bashing the Imperial Monarchy, Richard himself had said more than once that he hated the monarchy. "They all deserve to die, they should be rounded up and shot!" he had said. As he read the replies, he laughed; everyone agreed with him.
Outside Richards apartment, several Imperial Home Guards were approaching. When they reached the apartment door they wasted no time in carrying out their duty to the Empress. She had ordered them to watch public sites on the Internet and arrest anyone suspected of being a revolutionary, what this man had typed and posted was clear evidence that he was a revolutionary. The Imperial Home Guards kicked in the door and swept throught the house, they shot a hole through the mans moniter and arrested him for 'threats against the empire'.
"I didn't do anything wrong. I am entitled to my opinion! I have rights!" he screamed at the Imperial Home Guards. One of the men walked up and punched Richard in the gut.
"You are incorrect citizen; you had rights. The monarchy is almost completly destroyed. And you insult your nation by saying they deserved it. Empress Jessica wouldn't like that very much at all," he punched Richard again, "you revolutionary swine!"
Richard looked up and spat in the mans face, "Imperialist pig!" he retorted.
The Imperial Home Guard wiped the spittle off his face, "Take the bastard away."
Jessica looked at the men before her, cuffed and on their knees. Each one had been convicted of threats against the empire, plotting to overthrow the Monarchy, and supporting the revolutionary terrorists. It was up to her to decide their fate. She glared at each one in turn...
"What do you have to say for yourselves; speak the truth for I am your ruler. What you say could very well save your lives, prove t-"
Several of the men looked up and yelled, "Fuck you, you Imperial whore, the world has no need for Imperialist sonsofbitches like you and your family!"
And, "We did nothing wrong, we support what the revolutionaries did, the monarchy deserves to be destroyed!"
One of the men went as far as to say, "Crown-Prince Conrad was a racist homosexual, he deserved to die, it was the will of Almighty God!" the man who said this was in fact Richard.
Jessica walked up to him and kicked him in the face, making quick work of his nose and teeth, he yelled out in pain. He didn't hear Jessica's sentece, through the ringing in his head...
"Take these men and shoot them..."
Jessica didn't care to see the mens executions, she was handed a telegram on her way to her late brothers room, it was from Irixia.
She again sat down behind Conrads desk and typed her response...
To Queen Atani I of Irixia,
I am joyous to know that you and your family will be attending the coronation. I understand that is impossible for you to travel to Ibinius. The current situation is not terrible yet, but with repeated threats on the Internet and riots in the streets, we may soon need to call upon you to aide us militarily. My Father and his range of Ministers disbanded the general army, I have no way to defend against a large scale revolt. I await your response with eager anticipation.
Empress Jessica Romanova
one weeks since the assasinations of the imperial Family of Ibinius President Romescu thought it was his duty to formally acknoledge the situation in Ibinius, though the event was downplayed in the media, It was mainly biased saying that the governmnet was fighting against oppourtunists and anarchists
Romescu Wrote a personell letter to the Ibinius government
Dear Highness of Ibinius
We have heard of the situation in Ibinius the whole world what is going on in. We fully support your stance and we hope you crush all the traitors and restore order. For the sake of Regional stability, world stability and for the rule of law We hope you get the situation under control

"Your Majesty? Another telegram from Ibinius." The servant bowed and left Queen Atani as she sat at the table, slowly digesting her dinner. Unfolding the telegram, she read it in haste, and soon left the table to send off her reply.
The Commonwealth of Irixia
Upon hearing of your desperate situation, I advised my Minister for Defence that some forces may soon be used. Empress, it is your decision to the amount of forces Irixia commits, but we must set the limit at 30 000 Imperial Troopers, 2 000 Tanks, 2 000 Ships and 5 000 Aircraft. Please advise if these number are ok, as they will be sent upon receipt of your approval. They will be flying the Irixian flag, as well as that of the 1st International Peacekeepers, as this mission is defined as a peace-keeping operation.

Today, the Imperialist swine executed several innocent men on chumped up charges. Threats against the empire, conspiricy to commit regicide. This is all bullshit! Excuse my obscene language but this is just going too far! We the citizens of Ibinius are accorded certain rights given to us by Emperor Leone sixty years ago. These rights were violated for the purpose of national security these men had no trial by jury, they were convicted on barely any evidence at all and were subsequently shot behind the Imperial Palace in Maine! Do you hear this people! We must rise up against the Imperial Swine...Revolution my friends, the death of the Romanova's is near! Viva le Revolution! We must fig-
The video was paused when Jessica threw her hands in the air...
Empress Jessica hardly contained her anger when she finished watching the video being passed around by underground public websites. It had been uncovered by an Imperial Electronic Engineer, a Mr. Joseph Ketrin. Empress Jessica called in Captain Taylor, and gave very specific orders...
"Find them Captain," she pointed at the still face of man and woman on the paused screen, "find them, destroy them!"
Jessica fumed as she was approached by a very frightened maid, "Empress, you have several more diplomatic messages from various countries." She handed them over to Jessica and hurried off, wanting to get away from the Empresses glare as quickly as possible.
She again like so many days before then walked up to her brothers room...
To Queen Atani
I thank you for your quick responce to my request for military aide. That is more than enough military hardware, you may send what ever you believe to be neccesary at this juncture. The maximum force you can allow may be needed upon the beginning of a full scale revolution against the monarchy. Again I thank you for your support.
Empress Jessica Romanova
To Queen Elizabeth III
I am greatful for your sympathy, and wish to express my thanks for your support in this terrible situation. I greatly appreciate the aide that you are offering.
Empress Jessica Romanova
To President Romescu
I would like to personally thank you and your government for supporting Ibinius in such trying times. I look forward to further diplomatic relations with your nation.
Empress Jessica Romanova
Shortly after keying the letters. Jessica sat alone in her brothers room. In the quiet she could almost hear his voice again...she finnally allowed her emotions to defeat her; she broke down and cried.
"Abdicate, Abdicate,Abdicate!" screamed the protesters in the streets outside the Imperial Palace. Jessica watched them from her window. Once she had decided that too many had joined the protest/riot, she called in the Imperial Home Guard. Three rows of them, in interlocking crouches studied the crowd. Any sign of hostility and they were to open fire, by order of the Empress. Captain Mitchells, a very large man stood in the back with a megaphone, yelling at the protesters to leave Imperial premices.
The protest went on for hours, finnally Jessica go tired of hearing the same chant of 'Abdicate, Abdicate, Abdicate!' walked out onto the balcony; everyone became quiet. She scanned the crowd,
"I am the only legitimate ruler, I am your Empress. You will obey Imperial Law! I will not abdicate my throne!"
"Imperial Swine, monarchist slut!" someone in the crowed pulled out a pistol and opened fire on the balcony, Jessica was hit twice in the arm.
The Imperial Home Guard opened fire into the crowd. They fired indescriminatly; thier orders were to eliminate the threat should one arise.
Jessica learned the next day that 128 civilians had been killed, 13 had been armed. The situation was quickly spiraling out of control.
Shortly after she was told the death toll, she recieved another telegram from Irixia, it was not from the Queen but from the Irixian Minister of Defence. It was not her place, she called in Captain Mitchells.
Once he arrived she handed him the letter with her good arm; he read it quickly. And set off to perform his duty.
To Ranor Ossila, Irixian Minister of Defence
Your planes should fly to the coordinates 37degrees west, 27 minutes north, you will land in a secret military base. It is Triton Military Base. From there your soldiers will be transported to the Imperial Palace where they will recieve their peace-keeping objectives from myself and the Empress. If you find this unsaticfactory, please inform the Empress.
Captain Mitchells,
Imperial Home Guard
Not long after Captain Mitchells had left, Jessica was awoken by a sharp rap on the door,
"Yes?" she called. Sergeant Morris stepped in and handed her another telegram. This one she would have to answer personally.
"Thank you Sergeant."
"Your welcome, Empress."
Responding to the telegram was difficult due to Jessica's injury, but she worked through it.
To Queen Elizabeth III
I give your forces permission to make port at Jeston Bay, it is only three miles from the Imperial Palace, I would like the forces of Irixia and your own to both be present at the same time, at least within the next 48 hours, so they can recieve their orders. I will have two regiments of the Imperial Home Guard waiting to escort your forces to the Imperial Palace.
Empress Jessica Romanova
The telegram fluttered as the servant ran to the Throne Room. Knocking cautiously, he entered, and handed a worried Queen Atani the telegram.
The Queen unfolded it immediately and read. Seconds later she put it down again.
"Bring me the Minister for Defence" she barked.
Ranor was enjoying a light nap when the servant rapped on his door and woke up. Angry, he got up and pulled the door open.
"What?" he hissed.
The servant didn't blink.
"The Queen requires you. Now."
Ranor stuttered.
"Ah, thanks," he said curtly and shut the door. He smoothed out his clothing and brushed his teeth before dashing up to the Throne Room.
"Minister, do sit down."
Ranor sat nervously at the table as the Queen handed him a telegram.
Unfolding it, he read, and saw the commitment the Queen had made. He looked back at her.
"Send them now," she ordered quietly.
He bowed and left the room.

UK2 soldiers are ready to help you in your time of need.Your nation has blown up in violence and the safety of your people and you.We are asking that a UK2 navy ship with 789 UK2 soldiers onboard can enter your nation ports.
Dear Highness of the Holy Empire of Ibinius
My aide has told me of more terrible news, the demonstration, riots, strikes and the attempt on your life! The only thing i can say is that you must be firm with the people, Seal the boders so no more foriegn influences can get in giving them revolutionary idea, declare martial law, set a curfew. Its sounds like a terrible situation. If your governmnet is to survive you will need a mixture of teh Carrot and the stick, promise them something but be firm.
I'm sorry I can not give finacial aid as we are straped for cash ourselves and the military in Lerasia is on high alert because of recent outside critisism from the international community we fear for our soveriegnty, if there is anything else i can Lerasia can do please say so. I also think you should move important governmnet ministers and your self underground in a hidden and safe location.
Your sinserely
President of Lerasia
Essad Romescu
Jessica was finnally moving around again, her arm was in a sling, but she felt considerably better. She had ordered the Imperial Home Guard be put on high alert; she would not let another episode like the one two days ago happen again.
A man in a military uniform marched matter-of-factly towards her, she took the paper from his hand and read it.
"It is a telegram from Lerasia Empress." Jessica looked up, and grinned; she looked at the badges on the right side of his chest and the stripes on his shoulder.
"I know this Corporal, I can read. Dismissed."
"Yes, Empress."
She found a pen and a sheet of paper in the dining room, she really didn't feel like walking all the way up to her brothers room, she wrote it fairly quickly, and it was sloppy, but she had the use of only one arm, it was understandable.
To President Essad Romescu
I understand your concern. I have already taken certain measures to ensure the obediance of my people, but even these are failing. I am unable to keep my nation from falling apart. Everyday the situation gets worse. My senior Ministry Staff may go underground in an attempt to wait out the storm; but I will not. Being seen as a coward afraid of her own people will not make my situation any better. I thank you profusly for your concern about my well being.
Empress Jessica Romanova
Jessica walked around the Palace for a moment be for she ran across the Corporal again. She walked up to him and handed him the letter.
"Send this to the Government offices of Lerasia."
"Yes Empress." He turned and set about his task.
The dark blue sea lapped against the ship as the HMS Inquisitor, flagship of the Irixian Royal Navy, sped at all haste. Behind it; a fleet of ships carrying the many supplies destined for Ibinius.
The convoy had been at sea for over two days now; they were now a matter of minutes away from entering Ibinius's territory. But still no sight of land.
A few minutes passed, and soon a shout rang out over the ship. Land had been sighted. The ships' navigational systems confirmed that they were 200 metres from entering Ibinius's waters.
The Admiral, Jemarl Perius, ordered the fleet to stop. As the ships coasted along, constantly slowing, he wired a message to his soon-to-be hosts.
The Commonwealth of Irixia
Royal Armed Forces
To the Armed Forces of Ibinius loyal to the Empress:
The Irixian Royal Navy has arrived just outside your territory. We request permission to enter, and to commence our operation. Please advise us of the port at which we are to dock.
Admiral Jemarl Perius
Irixian Armed Forces
Dear Highness of Ibinius
The Lerasian Governmentt is watching the situation in Ibinius very closely. We have a couple of Questions os we can better understand the situation
Are the protesters and revolutionaries spontaniously happening or is their a group of leaders that are comanding the people. Is it a popular rebellion or a planned rebellion. Are the people calling for the full abolishment of the Monarchy or do they want reform, do you know if they will bow to reform?
One more warning, in these situations oppourtunists in the military might try to exploit the situation, keep a close eye on your generals, they might try stage a coup, this possibility is very unlikely as you seem to have the loyalty of your generals. From Lerasia we hope the situtation imrpoves
Empress Jessica watched from her balcony as the fire spread. Even from this distance; the flames lent light to the darkened square around the Imperial Palace. Portland was on fire. Jessica had been awakened by Captain Mitchells. He briefly reported that telegrams were coming in from all over the empire; that cities were being caught on fire. Industry had come to a halt, the economy, so long teetering on the brink of collapse, was gone. Ibinius was bankrupt, and the revolution was spreading and getting worse.
"Empress, it is not safe for you here anymore. You must leave the country," Captain Mitchells said, "the revolution is spreading in the ranks of the Imperial Home Guard. I see it in their eyes. It destroyed them; having to fire into a crowed of their own country-men. As we speak, reports have come in that massive crowds are moving towards the Palace. The men will not fire into a crowd again. I will give the order, and they will disobey. I have a chopper in route now. You must seek refuge in another country Empress."
Jessica's will was shattered, she watched her city burn, she watched spread. She could here the yells as men and women finnally made it to the gate of the Palace. For an hour the rioters just stood there, yelling and screaming. Eventually Jessica heard the arrival of her helicopter. It was against her better judgment leaving the Palace, leaving the nation without a leader...Anarchy. But she folded under the urgency of the Captain. She retrieved her things and the Imperial Romanova sword from her brothers room.
Shortly after that she boarded the helicopter and set aloft. She looked back over her shoulder when she heard gunfire. The Imperial Home Guard were firing into the air, warning shots, the crowd had broken throught the gates; and were charging forward. The ran right through the Imperial Home Guard lines. She watched the Palace of her ancestors go up in flame, she heard the faint cries of revolutionaries as they happiliy shot the Senior Officials still at the Palace. It was over as quick as it had started. She had been the last Romanova, the end of Dynasty. She was a ruler in exile.
"NO! I will not give up my country without a fight. In exile I may be, but I am not ready to surrender yet." she said to herself.
She leaned up and ordered the pilot to set a course for Irixia.
As they reached the ocean, Empress Jessica saw the Irixian ships. She picked up the laptop in the helicopter and sent a message to the Admiral.
Admiral Jemarl Perius
You may enter, it is not under that country is no longer under Romanova control. The Imperial Monarchy is finished for the time. I am a leader in exile. If you can retake the city I will return. As of now, I am heading towards your country, turn back if you wish. We must regroup, I will not so easily give up my rule.
Empress Jessica Romanova
Several Minutes later, Jessica recieved another telegram from Lerasia, she promptly replied...
To whom it may concern
This is a popular rebellion, and a planned rebellion. Unrest has been growing since the rule of my Father. With the disbandment of the Army the people apparently felt vulnerable and demanded the military be reinstated. Emperor Rudolph declined. He died four days later. The people have worked themselves into a frenzy, they will settle for nothing less the full abolishment of my royal line. I have the complete loyalty of my Senior Generals; it is the men who are revolutionary sympathizers. I will have them all executed for treason when I regain control of my nation.
Admiral Jemarl Perius frowned. He had sent the message off half an hour ago to gain access, and had expected an immediate reply. But the airwaves remained silent. Humming thoughtfully, he tapped the radio before leaning back in his seat and closing his eyes.
No more than two minutes later, a sailor rushed in to wake the Admiral.
"Sir," he gasped. "Our radar shows that there is a helicopter heading out to sea. We don't know its identification, nor its nature, but it's coming quite close."
The Admiral sat up.
"Hail it," he ordered. "Ask who they are, and where they're going."
The sailor saluted and dashed out to the telecommunications room.
"This is an official message from the Royal Navy of Irixia. Helicopter flying towards us, please identify yourself and your purpose."
The sailor waited anxiously for a reply.
Soon afterwards, a computer on the bridge beeped with a message. The Admiral look at it, gasped, and quickly typed a reply.
From Irixian Armed Forces:
Empress of Ibinius, we invite you to land your helicopter upon the HMS Inquisitor, where you will be promptly be escorted back to Irixia, and to meet HM Queen Atani I. We will not enter Ibinius; your safety is of the utmost importance. We can re-establish your realm later. For now, your safety is crucial.
Admiral of the Royal Navy
"Empress? We are being hailed by the Irixian Navy."
Jessica looked suprised, 'they must not have recieved my message' she thought. She leaned down and picked up the laptop again. And typed in...
-Send Immediate Transmission to Fleet Command of the Irixian Navy-
Admiral Jemarl Perius
I have been forced out of my country and am seeking refuge as a leader in exile in your nation. You may proceed with your current objective if you so choose; if you can retake the city and what is left of the Palace then I will return to Ibinius. Until that time, I am requesting refuge in your Queens Palace.
Empress Jessica Romanova
After a brief technical mix up, Jessica realized that the Irixians had recieved her original message. She leaned forward and told the pilot to land on the HMS Inquisitor.
"Yes Empress."
The landing was smooth and easy. Jessica exited the helicopter and was met by several Irixian soldiers. She looked around in amazment, the HMS Inquisitor was the finest ship she had ever seen. She wretched her gaze from the massive ship and looked a sailor in the eye; and said,
"Take me to the Admiral, we have things of a very delicate nature to discuss."
The Admiral looked up, and then jumped to his feet as the Empress, led by a soldier, entered the bridge.
"Welcome, Empress. First of all, we are making all haste to return to Irixia. I have telegrammed the Palace, and the Queen will be delighted to receive you, although she regrets the circumstances under which you come. As for safety, you will be safe on our ship. You have been given my quarters, as they are the largest, but you must forgive how inhospitable it is; we did not expect you. Are there any things that you desire, Empress?"
Empress Jessica looked the Admiral in the eye. Judging his charactor. She liked him; he seemed like a nice man; a good person to know.
"Admiral, there is nothing I wish more than to have my country back. Other than that everything is fine. You do not have to provide me with your quarters. I would not feel right taking it. It is yours. Please relay to the Queen that I too am saddened by the circumstances by which I must visit her great nation. I vow this will never happen again. I will not have my nation torn from my hands twice."
Jessica looked away for a moment, staring at her home as she sailed away. She was contimplating some very difficult disicions. Without turning she asked a simple question. One that could alter the face of her nation for generations.
"Admiral, since I have been ousted, and have no immediate way to retake my country; since it will take time to mobilize the forces to do so. Would Irixia consider using land based nuclear missiles against Ibinius. If it must be done...so be it."
Jessica turned and faced the Admiral. She patiently waited for a reply.
Stunned by the Empress's request, the Admiral blinked momentarily, and responded, perhaps a little too quickly.
"Empress, Irixia does not stock nuclear weapons, and nor do we use nuclear energy. Irixia is a Nuclear Non-Proliferation Zone, by the express desire of the Queen, as well as that of the population. We had a referendum. Irixia is powered by solar and wind energy only. However, if you want, we can turn around and attempt to retake Ibinius. Surely you saw the extent of our navy. The forces that HM Queen Atani promised are all here. But we will not use nuclear energy or weapons. Not now, not ever."

Jessica looked shocked; this is the first time she had came in contact with a nation that did not use nuclear weapons or energy. Ibinius's entire energy supply came from fourteen nuclear reactors; and she new for a fact the Ibinius had hidden silos all over the country. She decided to keep this to herself.
"I understand Admiral. Turning around wont be neccasary; we may win and retake the nation, but at what cost, and for how long. No, we will wait a while Admiral."
Jessica turned and looked back to her homeland. She didn't know if she would ever see it again.
"Admiral, this may seem out of context. But one must oblige ones needs as well as a nations. I am famished; how about we sit down for a meal and discuss more of these unseemly matters?"
Captain Mitchell of the Imperial Home Guard was on his knees beside forty other officers. Behind them were men with rifles, Mitchell had ordered the men to kill anyone who crossed into the palace grounds; and the men turned and took all the senior officers prisoner.
The Colonal the Empress had spoken to a couple days before walked up and down the line of prisoners. His name, Colonal Matthews. He stopped in front of the Captain.
"You have all been arrested for crimes against the Republic of Ibinius. How do you plead."
As one, every single senior officer declared their innocence. The Colonal smiled, "You are hereby sentenced to execution by gunshot!"
The Captain fell over dead; bleeding from a wound in his skull; as well as forty other men. The Colonal turned to the soldiers who had just executed the traitors.
"Fellow Officers in the Republican Army. Prepare to mobilize, this country is ours now, the bitch Empress has fled like a coward. We must solidfy our control of this nation. When that task is complete, Irixia shall fall beneath the awesome might of the Republic of Ibinius!"
This was meant by staunch approval and joyous shouts of victory.
OCC: can i get in on this for awhile
OOC: Depends, what do you want to do, and have you read the rest of the thread, you will be lost if you haven't.
The pair sat in the ship's dining room, consuming their dinner. Wiping the gravy off his chin, the Admiral addressed the Empress.
"Empress," he said courteously, "what other issues would you like to discuss? We shall be arriving in Irixia with 40 hours, upon which we will dock at Illion. From there, it is a two hour helicopter flight to Riltar. I assume the Queen will arrange transport from the Airport to the Palace. In the meantime, we should discuss the logistics of retaking Ibinius, as well as the international repercussions of these events. And lastly, your immigration status. Upon arriving, I suggest you apply as a refugee, although the Queen may just let you in."
Jessica looked up from her meal. The Admiral had asked about logistics; she was not a military woman, but she did know where to Ibinius to cripple it. She sat down her fork and began to speak.
"If you want to cripple Ibinius and make it easier to take, you must destroy its oil production in the Atlantic; use of heavy cruisers should be suffiecent. The main refineries are in New York and New Jersey.I suggest going after refinery in New York; this is the main refinery for the entire country. This will cripple the Air Forces and the Navy. They will eventually become operational again, but by that point I hope to have secured the Naval ports and the main air bases. In Pittsburgh further south is the main industrial center. I want you to destroy it. I want Ibinius to feel the pang of having everything they love and take for granted ripped from them; this will have a psycological effect as well as a military effect." Jessica pondered more about her nations geography, then she said "Just concentrate your forces to the North East, this is our oil, and industry."
She took a small bite of food and continued,
"I don't think the internation repercussions would to severe. I was ousted, not the other way around. I would expect most the world to be sympathetic to my situation, but of course, this is probably not true. If we are met with diplomatic hostility....I don't know what we are going to do."
She took another bite of food,
"I will apply as a displaced person; I was ousted from my homeland. I will follow whatever procedures are neccessary."

Little Honako
21-04-2007, 10:34
The Borderlands of Little Honako was an independent nation from Honako, in a few senses of the word. They were still ruled by the same leader, Mrs. Bourla Parkins, they were located in Greater Honako, and they still had a Committee run government - but they chose who was in it, and for the most part, the 217 million population had a democracy - views that were not present in it's leader nation, the Oppressed Honako.
The Deputy High Commissioner of Little Honako was a smart and teacher faced woman named Miss. Ibiza Smets, who always had a smile on her face and looked like she should be in a Primary school classroom. As Mrs. Bourla Parkins was still the ruler of this complex government, she was effectively the most powerful person who actually lived in Little Honako. She was sitting at her gigantic desk, one that surrounded her like a fortress, when she received news of the events unfolding in Ibinius.
It seemed as if they had help, in the form of a nation she much admired for their anti-nuclear policies, Irixia. But she wondered whether that was enough. Little Honako was a nation that had never said a word to the international community - it hid away and was peaceful in every form of conflict - even when Honako, it's elder nation, was being invaded it was asked not to help. But now Miss. Smet was about the make the most important decision in Little Honako's foreign affairs future.
Official Telegram to the Nation of Ibinius
Our nation has seen your cry for help, your invasion is as brutal as the horrific murder of your family, and with permission granted by our leader nation of Honako - we officially wish to help you rid the country of these rebels that fight against your regime. We offer the full services of Little Honako's military and naval forces in your war, and I personally, plus our rather bored due to lack of action Head of Military wish to come to your country, or wherever you are now located, to discuss a plan of action with you and the nation of Irixia.
Empress Jessica glanced at her laptop she had brought from the helicopter. A red light was flashing...message waiting. Jessica flipped it open and quickly read the telegram. She immediatly sent out a reply...
Official message to Little Honako:
I am an ousted leader heading for refuge in Irixia. I accept your help in the campagn against the rebel forces. When I take back my country, justice will be swift and lethal. With your help and that of Irixia, I belive we may be able to destroy the rebel scum and return Ibinius to its rightful ruler.
Empress Jessica Romanova
Dear Empress of Ibinius
We are saddened to hear about the current events in Ibinius. We currently have refused to recognise the new regime and Have put economic Sanctions on Ibinius until the rightful Soveriegn is reinstated in her nation. We have heard terrible rumours of genocide and attacks against loyalists to the monarchy. We will remove the economic sanctions when you are properly re-instated as the head of state of Ibinius.

Where is your exact location? We would very much like to meet with you and Irixia forces, and we are preparing either a helicopter or jet to take us to that location. We commence the mobilization of our well trained but unexperienced in combat forces, which due to our usual anti-war stance are a mere 2% of our population (totallying: 4,340,000) for a total re-taking of your land. We will not use nuclear weapons, as we also are opposed to them. And of course all our troops will not be in use, but we will send a sizeable naval force and air force containing them, and they will be in the hundreds of thousands hopefully.
Mrs. Ibiza Smet

The red light on the Empresses laptop flashed continuosly as she continued to recieve messages from foreign diplomats. She responded as fast as she could.
To the Foreign Ministry of Lerasia
Thank you for emplacing economic sanctions, I want Ibinius to feel the pain of having to suffer without food or goods; then they will realize that ousting me for the new Republican regime was a horrible misjudgement on their part.

To Little Honako
I do not have the exact coordinates, but you can meet up with us in the Irixian capital of Riltar. I look forward to meeting your diplomats in Irixia.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Men, women and children all wept as one as they were forced to kneel before the Repbulican soldiers. They had all been accused of treason; loyalty to the Empress...an immediate death sentece.
Colonal Matthews looked his victims in the eyes, and felt disgusted. Imperialistic pigs. Monarchists bastards!
"You will all die for your loyalty to the Empress!" he yelled in their faces. The children shrieked and held on to their mothers. While their fathers begged for mercy.
"We hate the Monarchy, we are glad the Empres-"
"Ready!" Colonal Matthews yelled. The Republican soldiers liftd their rifles.
"Please! Have mercy. Kill the adults, kill us; don't kill the children! Please! Have Mercy!"
Colonal Matthews pulled out a cigarette and lit it up.
"Aim!" all the people began to scream and beg for mercy! The women fell to the ground in tears; their children with them.
"Have mercy! Please spare us!"
"Fire!" the screams and the crying ended in an abrupt silence. All of them were dead. Colonal Matthews looked at the corpses. 326 people, he had just ordered the execution of 326 people.
The squealing of an infant could be heard in the mound of corpses. Colonal Matthews withdrew a pistol and walked towards it. He pointed the gun at it and fired. He had ordered the execution of 326 people, and killed one.
The soldiers poured gasoline on the corpses. Colonal Matthews cigarette set off the make-shift crematorium.
As the corpes burned, the Republican Army marched on; their goal. Completely control Ibinius and slaughter the Imperialist pigs. Matthews grinned to himself.

Smets boarded the plane that would take her to Irixia, despite not receiving their permission to enter the talks, she had go on a normal flight there – she had to get there immediately. She had tried to dress how her honourable superior, Mrs. Bourla Parkins would – in a cold grey suit, tight, and with a menacing frown on her face. But, she had failed and picked out something more livelily for the occasion, and her face would be grinning for the whole journey.
----------------------------------- Six Hours Later
The flight had been long and tedious, and the airport that greeted her was clean, but hectic – she pushed her way through the civilian crowds, and despite her fleet of guards and dark shades, she was smiling at the bemused people who had not expected a group of diplomats to be rushing through a civilian airport. Outside she quickly spotted the Limo and two sedans for her guards they had ordered, and they all climbed in, with her and the Head of Military, General. Philips Pearson, a man of English descent, entering the Limo calmly. As the Limo began to speed off, she wondered whether it would have been safer to ask for a special Irixia one, but quickly dismissed any thoughts of an attack on her.
She re-read the message sent to her by the Empress, especially the bit that said ‘meet up with us in the Irixian capital of Riltar’ – a bit vague to say the least. For all she knew this could be a sprawling metropolis, where any government buildings were impossible to find. She turned to one of the two aides that had entered the stretch with her and Pearson and said “Get me the number of some diplomat here, send an e-mail to the Empress asking her what building she’s in…I don’t want to get lost!”
Empress Jessica Romanova glanced out the port windows of the large Irixian ship HMS Inquisitor. She had been away from home for a day now; but it felt like years. The Admiral had informed her that they were a mere three hours from port. Her journey was almost over. She looked over her shoulder, to the laptop sitting on a steel table in the middle of the room. The red light was flashing again.
"Time to go be diplomatic..." she said to herself. Jessica sat down and quickly read the letter from Little Honako. She was amazed to find that the diplomats from Little Honako had arrived in Irixia several hours previous. She keyed a small letter informing the diplomat that she, along with the Irixian Senior Staff would be residing the Queens Palace in Riltar. She informed the foriegn diplomat that she was still several hours off and she would be arriving later in the day.
She closed her laptop and walked back to the window...she felt the wait of her problems all come crashing down at once. It was always in this terrible silence and periods of inactivity that she fully appreciated her situation.
"God Save Romanova!" she whispered to herself. This one phrase had once been a praise for the Imperial ruler. She had allowed her self to be diposed. Ending 587 years of Romanova rule. She felt inadequate to the task at hand; she slid to her knees and stared at her hands. She sat there for the longest time....
"Empress?" a sailor asked. Jessica hadn't even noticed he was there; she looked up and nodded, indicating that she was fine. The sailor didn't look at all relieved by this. His face appeared to grow more pained. Jessica saw in his hand that he was holding a sheet of paper. Jessica looked from the paper to the sailor.
"What is it?"
"I'm sorry Empress..." the sailor sat the paper on the table and left the room. Tears rolling down his face. Jessica was apprehensive to look at what information the paper may hold. She steeled herself to whatever it may be and picked it up. She went pale, and a cold sweat ran down her neck. But this was soon replaced by a burning hatred...she crumbled the paper and threw it across the room.
In the paper were several sattilite photos and information; Colonal Matthews, the apparent leader of the Republic of Ibinius, was going on a bloody rampage. Killed everyone he believed to an Imperial sympathizer. Jessica eventually calmed down...she would avenge those murdered subjects that remained so loyal to her.
"God Save Romanova," she whispered, "whatever is left to be saved..."
Colonal Matthews sat in the back seat of a red sedan. He had been picked up in Washington D.C. while he had been purging the city of the Imperial pigs. The death toll was now up to near 6000, and he still had the support of the populace. He was very pleased with himself. The Monarchy had ceased to exsist and Ibinius was under his control. Matthews knew for a fact that former Empress, Jessica Romanova was not dead. But diposed and defeated is as good as dead, so he thought.
"Colonal, we are about to arrive at the Palace in White Square."
"Good man, Major." the drive continued for another ten minutes. When they arrived at the Palace the major opened the sedan door for Colonal Matthews. Matthews stepped out and took a deep breath of the crisp, cold air. He looked around him; the pavment was still black where the revolutionaries had so valiently given their lives for the cause.
"Right this way Colonal." the Major said as he tried to lead the Colonal into the Palace. Matthews nudged the major out of the way, "One minute major."
"Sir," he snapped to attention and patiently waited as Matthews walked around the site of the explosions that had sparked the revolution. He remembered clearly the feeling he had when he had given the order to initiate the attack, and even more so when he had personally murdered the Crown-Prince 'Death to the Monarchy' he had said. He grinned as he remembered the pumping adrenaline and the anxiety of the event. He had feared he would be discovered, he was not, and now he was the master of Ibinius.
Matthews walked back to the major, "Lets go. I wish to see my new quarters before I give the press conference."
"Yes, sir." the major led the way, up the marble stairs and throught the maze of hallways, up a single flight of stairs, he stopped in front of two massive oak doors. He stood to the side as Colonal Matthews marched through. He swung the doors open and his breath caught when he saw the splendor of the Emperors personal quarters. His amazement ended when he saw the portraits of the former Imperial Swine by the doors. Matthews drew his pistol and fired a shot into the head of each person in the portraits. When he reached the portrait titled 'Crown-Princess Jessica Romanova' he shot twice.
The major rushed in at the sound of the gunshots...
"Sir," Matthews was already holstering his weapon. He looked up at the amazed major.
"Lets go, I must address my people."
Matthews sat behind a large, red maple desk. In front of him were the oppresive lenses of cameras all waiting eagerly to hear his words. Matthews obliged their wish and immediatly began to speak as soon as they gave the signal that they were ready...
"Good Evening citizens of Ibinius. The oppression of the Romanova's is gone at last! The last of the Romanova's, Jessica, has fled the country like the coward she and her kind are. Here absence has allowed us to set up the first democratic government in Ibinian history. The Republic of Ibinius. All dissenters will be rooted out, all sympathizers to the monarchy will be found. And they will be executed; I do not distinquish man from woman, adult from child; if they are loyal to the Empress then they are a threat to the Republic. The threat will be dealt with in the most brutal of fashions. The oppression is over, and a new age of prosperity will rise in Ibinius!"
OOC: I have family matters to attend to. So I will be back on later. Feel free to send me a telegram or post here. THX

They had got here too early. How traditionally Honakon.
Whilst they sat in a crowded cafe, getting awkward stares from confused citizens, Miss Smet sunk into a chair and browsed news reports about the revolution on the Internet. She laughed quietly as she read extracts from the speech, which basically said all sympathisers with the Monarchy would be murder - no matter there age, race or stance in society, and then went on to say these people were free from oppression. This was an example of some of the worst oppression she had ever seen, killing people for their political views - they obviously didn't know the meaning of the word.
To waste some time she had sent a letter to the Little Honakon press, stating:
"Little Honako is a peaceful, democratic country, that always regarded itself as small, and fragile in comparison to its powerful Honako neighbour. But with our economy growth and our strength increasing, it seems as if we, in relation to some countries, are not so small after all. Yes, I talk of the country of Ibinius, a country unknown to us that has seen it's ruling family murdered and overthrown. Therefore, the nation of Little Honako, was the first time in it's history, has officially declared war - war against the rebels that have savaged this nation."
When they arrived for a meeting about the plan of action, Little Honako would make it clear that they were fully behind the Empress.
(OOC: Ibinius, my response to this can be found here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=524650).)
The Queen was looking out over the city when her footman brought in a note. He bowed and left as the Queen picked it up, opened it, and read.
To the Queen:
From Immigration Control:
Your Majesty, approximately forty-five minutes ago, a diplomat from arrived through Riltar International.
The Queen folded up the message, and wrote another to go to Honako.
To Little Honako:
We have recently been advised that a diplomat of yours concerning the issue in Ibinius has recently arrived here in Irixia. Could you please contact your diplomat, and instruct him or her to return to the Departure Gate at Riltar International, where a Royal Car will pick her up, and bring her to my Palace.
Queen Atani I
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The Admiral entered the Empress's room, addressing her quietly.
"Empress, we have reached Illion. You will need to fill out these forms here. They are applications for refugee status. After the extensive media coverage of the events in your country, I am sure that Immigration will have added Ibinius to the 'unsafe' list. We will dock in five minutes."
OOC: Sorry I haven't posted for a while, but I think this might get a little more sporadic due to schedules and time differences. (I'm in Sydney, Australia. GMT +10)
Upon recieving the message, an annoyed yet still smiling Mrs. Smet left the cafe and went into her hired Limo, instructing it to go to the Airport so she could finally be safely taken to where she wanted to be.
Queen Atani peered out of the window as the car carrying the diplomat from Little Honako drove up the roadway to the Palace. Smiling to herself, she brushed her hair, and walked down to the Palace doors to greet the diplomat.
Arriving at the open doors, she stood, watching as the car came to a halt not three metres away.

from the CRL of Leraisa
As you may know Lerasia use to be under an oppressive Romescu dictatorship. It began with the Revolution in Ibinius, we showed short clips of the revolution in Lerasia but it was mostly censored, then beginning on Monday mass demonstrations took place in one of our cities, they were supressed, on wednesday after 2 days of bloodshed and repression the government ordered a mass parade to lift the moral of President Romescu. then he was shouted down during his speech, revolution then broke out and he fleed on helicopter then was captured on Thursday, his hasty trial took place on Friday when he was executed shortly after, now the CRL has taken temporary control of the country. we just wanted to tell you that the Event in Ibinius caused a chain reaction in Lerasia, and also to say that
even though we have had a regime change we are continuing with the economic sanctions and we still refuse to recognise the new tyranis Ibinius regime
Quinn Montego looked up from his desk as his vice president and friend entered the room.
"Hey Quinn, how you doing?" Milo asked
"Better than earlier." Quinn said bitterly. He had been shot and hospitalized a month ago and was still recovering.
"Could be worse." Milo replied and handed Quinn a paper, "Read these reports from intel."
"I will send this Ibinius leader a message. We will send aid if needed. Get the generals assembled."
"Sure thing."
The 24th Armoured Division and the 81st infantry divisions were preparing to load up with the 1st Amphibious Battle fleet. At the same time a special forces unit was loaded onto a C-130.
The Silvado Medical Association also prepared a small group to follow the armed forces to help any civilians.

"Any reply from Ibinius?" Quinn asked Milo.
"No sir. Haven't heard a thing yet... You think something bad happened?" The vice president asked.
Quinn shrugged and walked to his desk, "Don't know. Just have our forces ready to move in if something should come to us."
"Will do."
Portsmouth, Silvado-
Ships assembled in the bay. Eight Destroyers around one aircraft carrier and three transports. The fleet and aid force was ready. Task Force Condor, the most elite special ops group in Silvado was going through a few exercises. All they needed was the word and the whole force would be deployed in a few days.
"What will you do about the diposed Empress?" Sergeant Richards asked.
"Absolutely nothing; she is dead to this country; she fled in fear instead of facing her people like a ruler. She fears death; and death will find her!" Colonel, now President, Matthews answered. He looked out the plane window. His transmissions officers had intercepted several Net Transmissions to the diposed Empress. She was no longer replying to any of them. Not surprising, he thought. He was flying over New York, because his plane was so low to the ground he could see the death camps. 127 thousand monarchists had been tried and executed. Matthews had personally shot 179 of them. He remembered every face; he remembered their screams and chuckled quietly...
"Sir, do you not fear war for what you are doing..." Matthews mood turned dark. He was not going to be looked down upon by a Sergeant.
"I know full well what I am doing. The world will see reason and let me do as I wish with MY!-country. It belongs to me and the people. They supported me and the revolution and they ask no questions when I have those around them shot for the greater good! I do not answer to you or the world. Know your place!"
"But sir, crimes against humanity carry a stark punishment. You cannot face the world. Stop what you are doing or the people will again rally behind the Empress and it will be you who is deposed and not she...only you won't escape!"
President Matthews' rage flared beyond all boundries he pulled out his pistol and shot the Sergeant in the head. Matthews stood up and shot the Sergeant seven more times; until he was out of ammo. He was not going to be contradicted!
---------------------------------------------------
When the plane landed Matthews walked out and was greeted by a Private.
"Clean this up," Matthews pointed inside the plane and walked away to the convoy that was waiting for him.
"Goddamit," the Private said, "all in service to the Republic..."
OOC: Not much will be happening on the Empresses side of the RP for a while. The thread will concentrate mostly on the newly formed Republic of Ibinius.
OOC: Sorry about my prolonged absence my mother had surgery and there was some other stuff happening. Damn it seems like when I post nowadays, as soon as I log off the responses come pouring in.
ooc: Its fine. Now is the empress supposed to get the country back or not? And is it alright if I deploy my forces to add some more to the RP? Or should I sit back for abit?
ic: Quinn was walking to his office when Milo returned.
"No response from Ilbinius yet. Should I call off the force?" Milo asked, "We have a photo of people being executed there too."
"No." Quinn said, "Send a message to the new government."

Little Honako
04-05-2007, 16:09
OOC: Sorry, I didn't realise that this was still happening.
Miss. Ibiza Smets, basically the leader of Little Honako as an independent nation, stepped out of the car to meet the diplomats. Despite Little Honako's hugely peaceful stance on issues, she wanted this over with quickly so the nation was not so worried with war - and, although she would not dream of using even half of them, she had 5,000,000 troops at her disposal to end this with.
She walked up to the greeter and smiled "Hello, I'm Mrs. Smets. Well, shall I talk to the Empress - I wish to discuss plans, and make this as easy as possible."
TO: The Newly Formed 'Republic' Of Ibinius
Surrender or prepare to see the force of us against you. We are a peaceful nation, but will not sit and watch you rule this country that is not yours and abuse it's people.
The Queen hesitated momentarily, startled by the diplomat's direct nature.
"Welcome to Irixia, Mrs Smets. I am Queen Atani. You will be given a room in my palace for the duration of your stay until we sort this crisis out. The Empress of Ibinuis has not actually arrived in Riltar as yet; she is currently arriving in the port of Illion, and will fly up here as soon as she has passed through Passport Control. She will be here in approximately two hours. In the meantime, we should go inside and discuss the course of this matter in depth."
The Queen motioned to the diplomat, and together they proceeded into the Palace.

To: Passport Contol, Illion.
The Empress of Ibinius shall be granted entry into Irixia without any restrictions on her stay. Do not impede her more than is necessary.

"Oh, well, of course I'll come inside to discuss - I hope the Empress arrives soon." She looked at the Queen who seemed startled, they were obviously more grand and reserved here than they were in the lands of Honako, where good outgoing character was popular in a place which was usually depressing apart from for it's beautiful wildlife.
Whilst walking with the Queen, she made her position clear "I wish to rid the country of these rebels quickly. The Queen nodded slowly, her thoughts racing.
"Yes," she said finally. "We should explore all possible avenues of resolving this crisis with as little bloodshed as possible, and, if possible, none at all. Irixia does not support nuclear weaponry or energy; we wouldn't dream of using such weapons against these people. However bad they may be, we cannot sink down to their level. We must take the moral high ground, or our position shall be severely compromised."
The Queen stopped, looking the diplomat in the eye.
"The military of my country shall fully support reclaiming Ibinius for the Empress. How many military units is Little Honako willing to commit to this mission? You are under no obligation to commit any, but it would be helpful to our cause. Of course, things will change once the Empress arrives here in Riltar. But in the meantime, I would like to know where you stand militarily, as well as diplomatically."

Quinn picked up the phone on his desk and dialed a number.
"Hello, Milo. You are in charge over here for a while. I will be leaving with the military element en route to Illion.
2 hours later
The blackhawk helicopter landed on the deck of the SNS Kestral, the aircraft carrier and flagship of the 1st Amphibious Fleet. The side doors slided open and ten of the Presidential Guard escorted the President to the ship's bridge.
The admiral greeted Quinn and saluted.
"Joining us for this one, sir?" the Admiral asked.
"Yes, I hope you don't mind." Quinn replied.
"No sir, welcome aboard."
"Thank you, now lets get moving." Quinn said and continued to his personnal quarters on the ship.
The fleet began to leave the harbor.
Camp 3-3-2-0: New York
Lieutenant Colonel Kellie Morgan looked up and down the rows of prisoners before her. Her long blonde hair was held back by a tight bun, and her crisp black uniform gave her an imposing nature. She looked each and every prisoner she came across in the eyes, 'Disgusting...' she thought.
"You all know why you are here," she said quietly, just loud enough for those in the first couple of rows to hear her, "you have all been turned in by you neighbors, your friends and your family; you have been convicted of being a monarchist and you will all die for your treason to the Republic of Ibinius." Several Republican soldiers stepped into the large room through the back door. They all held in their hands an M4 Carbine, they pointed their lethal weapons at the prisoners.
"You have been sentenced to death by firing squad, and I will see to it that the sentence it carried out! Soldiers!" the soldiers that were in the room immediatly started firing. It took a mere twenty seconds to kill each and every prisoner. Lieutenant Colonel Morgan scanned the room, they were all dead...
"Take the bodies outside and burn them, we have a new collection of monarchists to execute coming in tomorrow," the soldiers continued to look at her and the dead on the floor, "now, damn you!"
The soldiers immediatly began to clean up the bodies...
Port Illion,Irixia
Empress Jessica scanned the horizon. She knew she was late to a very important meeting with the Queen of Irixia; but she could not bring herself to go for the longest time. She could not stand the thought of being viewed a deposed ruler who was too stupid to hold her people in line.
Once she had deboarded the ship with the Admiral, she was immediatly greeted by several men holding official looking papers, Jessica scanned them briefly, signed here and there, and was taken to a waiting limo with the Romanovan Imperial Flag on the the hood. 'The Queen must really support my cause,' she thought, 'or maybe it is simple common courtesy to recognize me as the Empress of an empire that I should never have allowed to be taken away from me.'
"Empress?" Jessica looked at the man holding the door open for her. He was clean shaven man dressed in a rigid military uniform. The Queen was most definatly providing the means for the Empress to feel quite secure in her temporary new home.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The trip to Riltar took several hours, Jessica tried to catch a little sleep; but to no avail. She could not remove the sattilite images she had seen while on the HMS Inquistor from her mind. The camps she had seen were horrific; Colonel Matthews was destroying her beloved country.
The limo was stopped at several checkpoints before it was permitted to enter palace grounds. Once it had parked, several men in military uniforms with stern faces wisked Empress Jessica away. Inside the palace, Jessica was awestruck, the palace reminded her of home, the vaulted walls, the lush carpets...everything.
The led her up several flights of stairs to a stateroom, the instructed her to stay here until she was called for. They said they were not trying to be rude but it was simple procedure, once the Queen formally acknowledged her presence in the palace; then she would be able roam as she pleased.
"I shall remain here, please give Her Majesty my greatest thanks. I am sure I would have a bullet in my skull right now if not for her."
The soldiers said they would convey her thanks.
Office of Ibinian President, Colonel Richard Matthews
"Mr. President we have recieved a message from the nation of Silvado," the Colonel Matthews took the message and dimissed the young captain.
Matthews quickly read the message his anger growing with every word he read. He crumbled it up and through it across the room. He had already decided his countries course of action to this outrage.
He picked up the phone on his desk and called in Lieutenant Colonel Morgan, she arrived about fifteen minutes later...
"Yes Mr. President?"
"Lieutenant Colonel Morgan, mobilize the military. We are at war!" Morgan saluted and marched out of the room.
'We are at war...'
OOC: Sorry my responses are becoming sporadic, I will be on for a while. Look for a new thread sometime within the next couple of hours pertaining to this event. While this thread focuses mainly on the Empress, the thread I will be starting soon pertains mostly to the new Ibinian Republic.
OOC:In case anyone was getting confused about the location of Ibinius. Here is a map, the read is Ibinius, the greyish color is....whatever.
Jessica was summoned from her deep thinking by a soft rap on the door. She stood and donned her brown military cap. The uniform she was wearing was provided earlier in the day by an official from the Ibinian Embassy in Irixia. Jessica may have been a deposed ruler, but to the internation community she was still the ruler of Ibinius, since none of the nations appearing at this meeting today recongnized the Ibinian Republic as a true nation, but rather a group of revolutionaries.
A tall, muscular man peeked his head through and told the Empress that it was time, the Queen had officially acknowledged Jessica's presence in the palace and the time of the meeting had finnally arrived. Jessica may no longer trully be an Empress, but legally she was still the Commander in Chief of the Ibinian Military...what was left of it anyway.
She walked out of the room and into the hallway. She looked at the man and said:
"After you,"
OOC:This RP is still open you know...and still going on...
ooc: Sure thing.

Somewhere on the ocean.
Quinn was requested on the bridge.
"Mr. President. The vice president wants to talk to you." The admiral said with a stern look and handed Quinn a radio.
"What's up, Milo?" Quinn asked.
"Sir, intel reports that more innocents have been killed." Milo said, "You know what that means..."
"Yeah... We're gonna need more forces then. Get the 57th Airborne together and the 3rd armoured. We'll need our 2nd fleet over here as well then. Get everything here for combat." Quinn replied, "Is that it?'
"Yeah."
"Alright, thanks Milo. Take care."
"You too Quinn."
Quinn handed the radio back and looked at the admiral.
"Admiral, get all your men ready if anything should happen." Quinn said and turned to leave.
"Why, sir?"
"I fear, I don't know what's in store for us." Quinn whispered.
"Mr. President, we have new intel coming in. I think that Silvado has been witnessing your executions of the monarchists. I fear that they may well attack to stop the death!"
Colonel Matthews appeared unmoved. He had decided the first time Silvado had intentionally provoked Ibinius what he would do...
"Jeffery, we are at war. Lieutenant Colonel Morgan has already began to mobilize the military...we will attack Silvado in three days. It will take a miracle to change my mind. It is for the good of the Republic."
"I know sir, USN Carrier Norieva has already set out with the battle-cruisers USN Trusted, and the USN Nostrem for early attack missions. They will arrive in two days time, I think."
"Good. Order the special forces to infiltrate Irixia, I want them to kill the Empress. I want the last of the Romanova's dead! The Imperialist will die for her crimes. For the Republic!" Matthews yelled.
"For the Republic!" Jeffery turned and left the room. Three hours later, a small task force, headed by Captain Samual Miechalson, set their plane on a course to Irixia. Orders: find and eliminate the Empress; and if possible the Irixian Royal Family.
On the 1st Amphibious Fleet, sailors and pilots were running to their stations. Planes were ready to take off and three E-2 Hawkeyes were sent up to detect any attacks. The escort destroyers also prepared for battle.
The Fleet had a few days until their planned arrival at Illion. The admiral ordered that the transports were first priority to defend and the President was transfered from the carrier to a transport ship.
TO: Empress Jessica Romanova and the Irixian Government
FROM: S.A.F (Silvado Armed Forces) Command
We have reasons to believe that the new leadership of the Ibinius government have decided to take up arms against us because we have evidence of them killing civilians. Our fleet is still a distance away and we ask that we can send President Quinn Monetego directly to Illion and out of harms way, for he is with the fleet and in danger.
Jessica read the message from Silvado while she was eating at a small piece of ham. She nearly choked on it while she read. 'No...' Jessica's nation was now at war with Silvado. How could things possibly get any worse?
To the President of Silvado,
I am sure the Queen will allow you to come here. Watch out for the Ibinian Navy and Air Forces, we may no longer have an army but we still have one of the most powerful Navies in the world. Be careful, tell you Admiral this as well.
I already know the sad truth of the extermination of my people. I learned this while still aboard the HMS Inquistor, from sattilite images. I will personally see to it that Colonel Matthews is hanged for his crimes!
Deposed Empress,
Jessica Romanova
-Aboard the SNS Liberty, transport vessel
Quinn Montego was on the deck, his Presidential Guard were around him. They were to go onto the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter and meet a refueling plane halfway from the fleet to Illion.
Before leaving Quinn recieved the message from the Empress.
To: Empress Jessica Romanova
From: President Quinn Montego
Thank you for the warning, I will inform the admiral and forward the message to the vice president as well. I fear for the fleet since it isn't prepared for a battle at sea and have called for a second fleet to come and support us.
However, our airforce has skilled pilot who I believe can keep things even. I hope that things can cool down before actual fighting takes place.
Sincerely,
President Quinn Montego
Quinn informed the admiral and had the admiral relay the message to the vice president before climbing onto the Black Hawk helicopter. He would be in Illion soon.
Jessica asked the Queen to postpone the meeting of the diplomats until the President of Silvado arrived in Irixia. It was decided that the meeting should be delayed until this time tomorrow evening. Each diplomat was dimissed to his or her stateroom and Empress Jessica was only to glad to leave, a servant woman had informed her that she had recieved another message from the President of Silvado.
Jessica read it quickly, then she keyed her reply and sent it off:
To the President of Silvado,
We have postponed the meeting in Irixia until your arrival. I too fear for your fleet, USN Norieva alone would give the ships you already have out to sea a run for their money. She is equipped with 75 F/18E fighter/bombers and 16 Commanche air-to-air, air-to-surface attack helicopters. She is the largest ship of her kind. The battle-cruisers that will surround her are equipped with heat-seaking missiles and radar tracking cruise-missile destroyers. Tell your Admiral that the only sure way to destroy the Carrier and the battle-cruisers is torpedo attack.
Empress,
Jessica Romanova
TO: Empress Jessica Romanova
FROM: President Quinn Montego
Thank you for informing us of that. However our submarines are still enroute to support our fleet. Our carrier, the SNS Kestral, has 25 F/A-18s and 15 F-14 fighters. The carrier also has SAMs and the destroyers do as well. The admiral will be informed.
Thanks again,
Quinn Montego, President of Silvad
Quinn leaned over his seat and tapped the co-pilot's shoulder.
"Tell the admiral that he should expect cruise missiles, F/A 18s, and some of the toughest ships he will face. He needs his subs ASAP." Quinn ordered.
The co pilot nodded and relayed the message.
-Southeast of the 1st Amphibious Fleet.
The Second Fleet was moving quickly towards their destination.
They had three submarines, four cruisers, one battleship, and four frigates. Auxilary ships followed to keep them fuelled and supplied.
Jessica waited very tensly for about ten miniutes before a response from Silvado was cabled in. She breathed a sigh of relief.
To the President of Silvado,
I am glad that you have informed your Admiral accordingly. I await your arrival, when you arrive look for a black limosine with the Imperial Ibinian Flag on the hood, it will take you to the Royal Palace. It is a long drive, so please try to catch some sleep on the way here. I doubt anyone will be sleeping for very long once things seriously get underway here.
Empress,
Jessica Romanova
TO: Empress Jessica Romanov
FROM: Quinn Montego
Understood. I will be arriving soon.
Quinn Montego.
Quinn sat quietly and watched as the helicopter carefully approached the refuelling plane.
"We will be arriving in the next two hours sir." A pilot informed as they finished refuelling, "We will also send a notice to the Irixian Government to inform them."
"Good." Quinn said and checked his watch then put his cane by his foot.
His guards were resting quietly as the chopper moved closer to Illion.
"Empress, we have recieved word that the Silvadion President will be arriving within the next two hours." said Captian Henry Richardson, one of the people who also escaped from Ibinius.
"Good, send word to the President that I am in Room 19 on the third floor. I will be in the office to the left when you enter. I wish to see him before the rest of the diplomats."
"Yes, Empress."
"Good."
OOC: I have to go to Wal-Mart, be back in a minute.
ooc: Ok, you guys don't mind if I jump forward a few hours
ic:
The Black Hawk helicopter approached slowly, hovering just over of international waters while the pilots radioed the Irixian Government.
"This is Presidential 1 of Silvado to Irixian Air Control or Government. We are about to land at Illion. We have our President on board and his personnal guards. Our helicopter is unarmed and the guards have AUG SRs. Only two guards will accompany President Montego and he will meet with Empress Romanova. We have very little time, so we apologize for barging in." The pilot radioed before approaching Illion and landing.
Quinn slowly stepped out of the helicopter and walked a few steps, clutching his cane tightly. He adjusted his dark green uniform and waited for his two guards to follow. Both guards had black uniforms and red baretts. Their AUG SRs were unloaded and slung across their backs. One guard carried Quinn's bag. The three men watched as the helicopter took off and flew back towards the fleet, then turned to see the black limo a short distance away.
They walked up to the limo and Quinn politely knocked on the door.
"Mr. President." the man in the blue uniform said as he opened the door and stepped out of the limo.
"I am Brigadier General Johnston of the Ibinian Embassy Marine Corp, if you will please enter the vehicle we can make our way to the Royal Palace."
The President slowly stepped in, cane first. His guards followed. After making sure the door was secure, Brigadier General Johnston entered the vehicle as well. He reached over to the center dashboard and hit the automatic window and door lock. He pressed another button and the center window lowered,
"Mr. President, your doors and windows will remain locked until we enter Palace grounds. Since you are a foreign national, even being a Head of State, you must sign an entrance contract. Do you understand?"
The President nodded, then turned to his guards and started talking in muted tones. It sounded like they were worried about the naval battle that very well may take place.
It was not the General's place to interfere in the conversation, he hit a button and the center window went up. He turned to the driver,
"Lets go..."
"Ok, so how long is the drive." Quinn asked politely, "I was told it was long, but Im afraid that was it."
He looked at the window, admiring the land.
General Johnston heard the quite rap on the center window, he leaned up and pushed a button. The window silently rolled down.
"Ok, so how long is the drive." Quinn asked politely, "I was told it was long, but Im afraid that was it."
The General thought about it for a minute,
"About two, two and half hours, give or take. Just lay back and try to get a little rest Mr.President. The Empress was awake the whole of the trip and was in a shoddy mood when we got there."
The President nodded and leaned back in his seat.
OOC: I just read a piece of information, and I want to clear something up real quick, the Embassy Marine Corp is not from an Embassy in Irixia, (military personel are not allowed in Embassies on Irixian soil) but they came in by ship from an Embassy in another country. Just thought I would clear that up so that Irixia would not get angry.
bump, this is still open, new people can join if they want.
OOC: Sorry I haven't replied for a while. Had to sleep.
The Queen sat in her stately bedroom, slowly watching the sun dive into the rolling savannah of her lands. Lying back, she shook her head, trying to collect her thoughts. The deposed Empress had arrived earlier today; the poor thing looked awful. She had asked the Queen to postpone the meeting; the Queen had readily obliged. It was only fair to the diplomats still arriving, as well as the Empress, who desperately needed sleep. Poor soul.
The Queen sat up, counting in her head.
Empress Romanova: here
Little Honakon diplomat: here
Diplomat from Silvado: arrived in Illion, 2 hours away in a car.
The Queen grinned to herself. The diplomat from Silvado hadn't waited for a response from the Irixian Armed Forces before entering Irixian territory, giving the Armed Forces quite a scare. As soon as she had heard about it, she had called the chase off, telling the Navy exactly who was entering with all haste.
Silvado had brought some of its army; the Queen was happy about this. The Queen was about to ask the diplomat from Little Honako when she received the message saying that the Empress had arrived in Irixia; the Queen thought it best to get some rest before her arrival. And now they had postponed the meeting for the diplomat from Silvado.
Tomorrow would tell the course of the war.
The Queen flopped back onto her bed and promptly fell asleep.
--------------------------------------------
The radar operator looked up sharply from his monitor, calling to the Colonel Jamas.
"Sir," he said hurriedly. "There is a helicopter speeding towards Irixian shores. They didn't request entry or anything. And I'm sure it's not any of the diplomats; they're all arriving at Illion. Why would a diplomat do this, 300 kilometres north of Illion?"
Colonel Jamas leant over and saw the rapidly advancing blip on the screen.
Not hesitating, he bellowed.
"Get three interceptor helicopters out to this position at once! Make sure they're armed, I don't want to take any chances. GO!"
Only two minutes later, three Interceptor class stealth helicopters had taken off from the military base, turned, and sped towards the intruder.
Quinn Montego sat quietly in the limo.
"This country is beautiful. I hope nothing happens to it." Quinn said and one of his guards nodded in agreement.
"We're almost there." Quinn told his guards, "Then you guys can take a break and walk around or something, you'll have to get oked by the Irixians, but I don't think that will be a problem."
One guard smiled, "Sounds goo, Mr. President."
"Fantastic."
However Quinn didn't know how long the ride would be.
The guards at Vetilar Palace waited anxiously for the diplomat to arrive.
Major Georges Browl looked at his watch impatiently.
"Radio the diplomat's transport," he said to the radio operator. "Ask them where they are, and how long they're going to be. The Queen wanted the Palace locked down at dusk, and it's already 7pm."
To: Transport.
We need to lock down the Palace soon. Please advise us of your position so the Irixian police can escort you here quickly.
Empress Jessica was quietly escorted to private quarters, the diplomats from Little Honako and Silvado were here. The President looked well rested, he had obviously caught a little sleep on the way to the Palace.
Empress Jessica sat in the private quarters not saying anything, the Queen was ten feet away on a leather couch with her fingers tented, looking intently at Jessica.
Several times she appeared to want to say something, but couldn't find the words to say it, and simply remained silent. Jessica didn't really notice, in the silence her mind had fallen to a painful subject; she was thinking about her family, her country. 'I want it back,' she thought.
She finnally tore herself away from her inner problems when a knock on the door signaled the arrival of the Little Honakin and Silvodian Diplomats. This would be a trying time for all of them.
'My country may not survive this, I may be returned to naught but shambles, God I hope not...' She and the Queen stood up to greet the diplomats.
"Good evening, I hope you trip here was pleasant, we have very unfortunate business to discuss," said Jessica.
OOC: Sorry I skipped ahead a little, finnish the Presidents arrival and we will continue from there. Srry.
The Queen smiled at the diplomats
"Welcome to Irixia," she said softly. "I am Queen Atani. Please do sit down, we have much to discuss."
The Queen reclined in her chair, dimly aware of the others sitting. The diplomats had all arrived the previous day, including the Empress. Now was the time for the long-anticipated meeting. The sun again slowly dropped below the western horizon.
"Empress Romanova," began the Queen. "Now that we are all assembled, I think it would be wise for you to clarify the task that lies ahead of us, just so there isn't any misunderstanding amongst us."
OOC: Don't worry about the President's arrival, unless he was going to get abducted or something :)
"I wish the circumstances could have been better, but the trip went as well as it could have." Quinn said and bowed slightly, "I am President Quinn Montego as you already know. Now how shall we go about this?"
Quinn looked around and tried comparing the room to the president's chambers back in Silvado, but this room was much more elegant.
Empress Jessica stood and contimplated the Queens question, and so she began:
"As you all know, I am Empress Romanova of the Romanovan Dynasty that has ruled the Holy Empire of Ibinius for near to three-hundred years. In the past month you have witnessed the end of that long held power. A group of revolutionaries led by the now infamous Colonel Matthews murdered my Father, and my Brother; this led to the suicide of my Mother. I am the last Romanova. I have a scant suspicion that this whole incident was sent spiraling out of control by my Fathers disbandment of the Ibinian Army; this gave the world the view that Ibinius was weak. Colonel Matthews, a fierce nationalist as it would seem, pounced on this percieved weakness and saught to establish a new Ibinius, a powerful Ibinius. Instead he murders my people for being loyal to the monarchy. You have all valiently arose to the challenge of restoring me to my throne; this will not be an easy task. Even though it pains me to say it, I do not think that the Ibinius we know today, will be the same once I am restored to power. I will rule a broken nation," she stopped to look at each diplomat, 'since I command no army of my own, and my navy and air forces have fallen to the Republican Government, a full scale invasion of Ibinius may be necessary. The total destruction of what is left of the Ibinian Armed Forces may also be necessary. This will leave me in a worse position than I am already in; to counter this, if we succeed, I wish that each of your nations leave 5000 men to help control Ibinius. But that is only if we succeed. The industry to the north, and our oil production in the North Atlantic will have to be raided or destroyed completely. To do this, we should use a combined naval and air attack. After the oil is cut off, Ibinius will be crippled. At which point Colonel Matthews will do what every other leader would do, protect what is left of his most valuable assets; this will open the door to the south in Florida, " Jessica pulled out a map, and pointed at several major cities, including Miami, "we will invade through Florida and capture the major cities in the south of the penninsula, from here we can establish a base of operations and continue raids farther north. Be warned though, Ibinius posesses tactical nuclear weapons, I don't believe Matthews will go so far as to deploy them, but to be safe...we should ally ourselves with another nation that has nuclear capability. Deterance will keep Matthews from nuking us and destroying Ibinius's last hope." she continued to stand, trying to gauge the reaction. She berrated herself for being somewhat confusing. But she hoped she had gotten the point across.
"Nuclear weapons..." Quinn whispered, "Empress, I can have airborne and special ops units take control of those missiles, we just need a location. That way they wouldn't be able to use them on our liberation forces. I will gladly have troops there to keep things under control."
He was quiet for a while, "My force will be in Illion in two days, what else will be in the invasion force?"
The Queen nodded slowly, contemplating the Empress's words.
"Yes," she said finally. "I believe that would be a good course of action. As to the issue with nuclear weapons..." The Queen trailed off momentarily. "Irixia is opposed to all use of nuclear weapons, but I can see your reasoning for their use in this instance. I will not object to this, but the Irixian Armed Forces will not play any part in the deployment or use of these nuclear weapons. However, we will commit 10 000 Irixian soldiers to this expedition, as well as ships and aircraft."
Jessica listened to the replys. Nuclear weapons had caused quite a stir, she was glad that the Queen and the diplomats realized the potential damage they could cause.
"Every nuclear weapon that Ibinius posesses is in the Smokey Mountains, housed in various underground silos. They are near the Tennessee-Kentucky border but their exact location was never revealed to me by the Defence Minister. There was never a need for it. We only have 150 nuclear weapons though, and off those only 15 are constantly ready for launch. The rest would take two days to fuel, and would probably be spotted by a sattilite, so I doubt Matthews would risk fueling up the additional nukes. Fifteen, that is how many nukes we have to worry about. For the invasion, as far as Ibinian ground forces go, we have six armored divisions of 200 M1A1 Abrams left, the rest have been scrapped; but they are all located in New Jersey, it will take days for Matthews to get the full force down to Florida, and by that time we will most likely have established a beach head and air superiority. Ibinius may have disbanded its army, but we still retain an extremely large air force, near to 2500 jet fight/bombers; we will need mobile radar, and SAM sites. If we can destroy enough of his planes, Matthews will stop sending them; oh, and we need not worry about stealth, Ibinius has no stealth aircraft...so we have breathing room there. The Navy is the only part I don't know about...I have no idea how to counter the Navy. Any ideas, I do not know about naval warfare."
"We could have special ops somehow bomb the ships." Quinn said, "Or its just gonna be a toss up between naval forces. I will have about 12-15 000 forces here ready for the invasion. Now we need to find out where the operational nukes are so we can gain control of them. As for air superiority, I have confidence once a beachhead is established and my airforce can get some planes over there, and support from Irxia if they send planes, we will be fine."
The Queen cleared her throat.
"My Navy will assist you. We will also send 10 000 Irixian soldiers as a ground force, as well as trnasports, and aircraft."
OOC: I can't post for a while, so Ibinius can take control of my army/navy/airforce.
"That is good to know. I believe I have an idea of where the nukes are, but I am not sure. We should use a massive paratrooper drop to secure the mountainous region to the north. Only then will it be safe to invade, a nuclear explosion would not help our invasion at all..." Jessica pulled out a map of the Tennessee region and circled a region to the north. It was a really large piece of land, she could not fathom how they could secure that much land in so little time. Unless they invaded from the east coast into Virginia, but that would be suicide!
"Here we are, take a look, and tell me what you think," she layed it on a table in the middle of the room, "it is not the greatest thing in detail, but it is a start."
The Queen cleared her throat.
"My Navy will assist you. We will also send 10 000 Irixian soldiers as a ground force, as well as trnasports, and aircraft."
OOC: I can't post for a while, so Ibinius can take control of my army/navy/airforce.
OOC: Okay that is fine, when will you be back on? If you would prefere, me and Silvado could continue to work out the details. Or we could all just continue this in few hours. Which works best for you?
ooc: I got to go soon too.
ic: Quinn studied the map. He had served in the airborne so he knew basic tactics of the airborne.
"This could be done, it would be costly, but its abit better than having the liberation force bombed by a nuke or two." Quinn said, "Also a group from my army called Task Force Condor can be deployed anywhere in the world at a moments notice. They specialize in taking fortresses, buildings, and other installations quickly and effectively. I will have them deploy tomorrow if you have any place in mind that you would like to have back, Empress."
"If you can find the silos, take them back first and foremost. If you succeed in this...I would like to have my palace back, it is in Maine. Near the most northern edge. Most of it is destroyed. But that is not the point; this will be my first step in becoming Empress of Ibinius once more."
OOC: So when will you guys be back on?
ooc: tomorrow, but I got a few post until I go
ic: Quinn nodded, "My 57th airborne will land by the silos, and Task Force Condor will take back your palace. It will be a swift operation, leaving them in confusion."
He examined the map for a few seconds.
"Anything else that might be a threat to us?" Quinn asked.
"I don't believe so, with the Tactical Nuclear Weapons out of commission the invasion should go smoothly. Once we get to New York, if we get to New York, I will formally resume my duty as Empress of Ibinius. With only the farthest regions to the north Colonel Matthews will surrender, at which point he will be hung!"
OOC: Okay, I guess I will see you tomorrow.
ooc: Alright, c ya
ic: "Alright then, I will send word to the airborne and special ops." Quinn said, "You'll get you nation back, Empress, I'll see to it."
One of his guards handed him a small device, much like a palm pilot. Quinn took the device and began writing a message.
-In San Martin, Silvado
The 57th Airborne and Task Force Condor were briefed on the task. Hours later they were packing up equipment and preparing for deployment.
Captain-Comissar Flint LeGuin was discussing tactics with is officers in the 57th while Sargeant Major Jefferson and Task Force Condor began room clearing exercises.
These operation would be flawless
"Thank you Mr. President; thank you."
OOC: Alright I am logging out now. I will be back on about 9am Eastern Atlantic time. I live in North Carolina....C'ya.
"No problem, ma'am." Quinn said and smiled politely, "We always help those who are in need. And I hope this support will forge an alliance between our nations."
"So what else will need discussing? Im sure we should plan where the peace keeping forces should be stationed after we retake the land." Quinn added, "Or do either of you have something else in mind?"
Mrs. Smet had been reserved during the meeting, mostly because she was busy eating the cakes on offer - she loved cakes, she wanted to be a cookery teacher in a primary school when she was a kid...
She smiled and said "Little Honako is a peaceful country, though we will aid you in your missions. Whilst your men do the special ops thing to disable there nukes, we will happily deploy up to 200,000 men to swiftly take the country from these rebels once this is all over. In Little Honako we are quick and direct, no messing about - so, basically, call us in when you need us. We will also allow a bulk amount of these to remain once the war is over for peacekeeping."
The Queen spoke, clearing her throat.
"The Irixian Armed Forces will work in collaboration with those of Little Honako," she said. "We do not have the expertise or the desire to meddle with nuclear weapons, and will therefore assist in the general recapture and peacekeeping of the country. As Irixia is a member of the 1st International Peacekeepers, I will appeal to that Alliance and try to drum up some support for us on the grounds of stabilising the country once it has been retaken. In the meantime, we should concentrate on the logistics of retaking Ibinius."
The Queen paused, and then looked at the President.
"You proposed an alliance between us," she said calmly, "and I agree with you. Once all this is over, we must continue our relations. We should found the alliance now. However, I do not know under what circumstances we should found it. Should it be a mutual defence treaty between the three of us, or an alliance with a specific target."
The Queen leaned back, waiting for suggestions.
Quinn nodded, "A mutual defence treaty sounds good. I think it would last pretty long and could help us along the road should anything happy. Its always good to have a few friends in troubled times."
- Over the ocean. 1st Amphibious Fleet and 2nd Fleet
The admiral, Admiral Westing, was standing on the bridge of the carrier SNS Kestral. He slowly put his hat on his head and turned to his radio officer.
"Any word from Hawk 3?" Westing asked.
"Nothing's on the radar according to them, sir." the radio man said, "But the 2nd fleet is with us and ready to go."
"Good. If we get into any trouble while on our way to Illion, we'll be prepared for it." Westing whispered then looked at the other officers, "Get this thing moving, we need to get to that port ASAP!"
"Yes, a mutal defence treaty does sound good. It would aide in the reestablishment of order in Ibinius and provide protection for Imperial authority." Empress Jessica waited, this would need to be discussed with extreme caution. With her country in such a weak state, she dare not enter into any M.D.T. that could serve as a vantage point for a foreign leader to obscure her Imperial Right to rule Ibinius; she would not have her country taken from her a second time.
OOC:Sorry about the long delay, my net got shut off and I just had it turned back on.
OOC: there is still room for more people to join, though you may want to scan throught the rest of the thread to catch up.
OOC: Well, I don't mean to be a pest, but has this thread gone and died on me in my absence?

The Federation of Ambrose-Douglas
Empress Romanova was tapped on the shoulder as the diplomats from various countries talked in muted tones about the Mutal Defense Treaty. She looked up, it was a night palace watchmen, he handed the Empress an envelope with a telegram enclosed inside.
"It is from the nation of Ambrose-Douglas, Empress." Jessica took it from the night watchmen and dismissed him. She pulled out the telegram and read it quickly.
She excused herself from the room and walked down the hall into a more private room, she stepped outside and asked another night watchmen to go to her room and bring her laptop down to her. Once she had her laptop in her possesion she keyed her response.
TO:
Justin M. Ambrose
President
Allied-General Hames Kirkuten
Supreme Military Commander
I greatly appreciate your concern for the wellbeing of the Imperial Family and the Holy Empire of Ibinius. Your military aide is accepted as is and will be employed to the fullest extent for the war that will be launched at the lower tip of Florida to take back my country one piece at a time. If it is acceptable to you, I wish for a diplomat from your nation to join the talks going on at the Royal Palace in Irixia. I understand that your diplomat will not be able to make the preliminary meetings due to time and place; but the presence of one of your government officials would make this offer of international aide more formal.

"A message has been sent back from the Empress, Mr. President." An aide popped his head in quickly into President Ambrose's office.
"Thank you, Buford." The aide inclined his head ever so slightly and backed out. People were still used to not having a monarchy around here. His eyes scanning the message, he grabbed his phone. He knew it would be late, but this matter required the fullest urgency. "Ben... it's Justin. We need to talk."
Ten minutes later, with his Ambassador and Supreme Military Commander on the next flight to Irixia, President Ambrose began typing a response message.
To: Empress Jessica Romanova
From: President Justin M. Ambrose
Empress,
I have dispatched our Ambassador to the United Nations and Foreign Lands, Benjamin J. Douglas, and our Supreme Military Commander, Allied-General Hames Kirkuten, to the Royal Palace in Irixia post haste. They should arrive by late tomorrow morning at the latest.
Be assured that your nation will be restored to you and that you will be returned to your rightful throne.
Regards,
President Justin M. Ambrose
The Federation of Ambrose-Douglas
Empress Jessica waited patiently for a response to appear on the closed network on her laptop. It came sooner than expected. She read it carefully; then began to key her response in turn.
TO: President Justin M. Ambrose
FROM: Empress Jessica Romanova, Ibinian Imperial Family
Thank you for your quick response, a helicopter will be dispatched to the airport to pick up Ambassador Douglas, and Supreme Military Commmander: Allied General Kurkuten. They will be brought to the Royal Palace where they will attend a meeting with Her Royal Highness, Queen Atani I and the other foreign diplomats. Then they will be brought to my private quarters for a more in depth discussion of the aiding forces you are providing. After which they will be given quarters, while I attend private meetings with the other foriegn diplomats and the Queen.

President Ambrose had his feet propped up on his desk, as so many of his young generation now in power preferred to do. A bad habit? Maybe, but it was still comfortable. His computer dinged and he pulled his feet down and brought up a blinking window, reading the message.
To: Empress Jessica Romanova
From: President Justin M. Ambrose
Thank you for your hospitality. I hope that the forces we have provided will be sufficient enough to make a significant dent in the rebel forces. My two liaisons will keep me informed of the proceedings.
Regards,
President Justin M. Ambrose
OOC: Sim ahead to the meeting?
Jessica read the response, and replyed quickly:
TO: President Justin M. Ambrose
FROM: Empress Jessica Romanova, Ibinian Imperial Family
We will treat your liasons accordingly. I will try to keep you informed of the situation in Ibinius proper.
Empress Jessica Romanova
The Next Morning, Private Quarters of the Empress
Jessica stood up as two Irixian officers opened the doors to her chambers, followed by two more officers of the Irixian military, with the two expected vistors following in their wake. The Irixian military officers saluted both the Empress and the two foreign government officials and all four military men left the room.
The Empress tilted her head in respect and gestured to two seats in at the head of a short oak table opposite a single chair at the other end. She walked over and sat down.
"Welcome to Irixia, I believe we have things to discuss. Please have a seat."

26-05-2007, 06:48
Both Ambassador Douglas and Allied-General Kirkuten bowed graciously to the Empress from the waist before retreating to their end of the table, and sitting. Douglas was dressed in a plain, black business suit, while the General was decked out in his formal military finery. Kirkuten sat military straight while Douglas folded his hands and leaned on the table, both silent, both waiting for the Empress to speak.
Empress Jessica was slightly amused by what she saw as tentative attitute torward her by the Ambassador. She didn't know why, she was in fact a deposed Empress with little or no power. It was President Matthews of the 'Ibinian Republic' that he should be afraid of. She immediatly took a liking to the General, he had an air of power and authority that she greatly admired. All things aside she began:
"Welcome, Mr.Ambassador, General. As you know, you are here to discuss the terms by which your nations shall aide me and my current allies in our struggle to end the rebel Ibinian Republic and restore the Imperial Monarchy, the Romanovan Dynasty of which I preside. Your President has already pledged substantial military aide to myself and the forces attempting to retake Ibinius in the name of the Imperial Monarchy. Here and now, I wish to hear your opinions on my actions and how you think we can improve our situation. As of now, a full scale invasion of the southern tip of Florida in Ibinius has been approved, as is a minor paratrooper operation to disable the Ibinian Nuclear Arsenal in the Smokey Mountain region. What are your educated opinions?" Empress Jessica Romanova waited patiently for a response.

Douglas' leg was bouncing with nerves. This was his first major military crisis under his watch as Ambassador to Foreign Lands. He placed a hand on it to try and keep it in place. "General, if you would like to outline the plans our military had come up with?" Douglas said, glancing the General's way.
"Of course, Ambassador." The General stood and walked toward the Empress, pulling a small slip of paper from his pocket. "Empress, if I may." He smiled, inclining his head as he placed the paper on the table, which then unfolded itself into a map of the southeastern quadrant of Ibinius. A small X on the panhandle of Florida, near the Gulf of Mexico, was the only marking.
"Since we are a relatively late comer into this conflict, our plan is thus. The troops we promised will be dispatched post haste, while your other allies proceed with their assault on the southern tip of Florida as planned. Our troops sail around them, and up to the Panhandle, where we launch our invasion and effectively cut off all retreat for these 'Republican' forces." He smiled and stroked his goatee slowly. "After such a demoralizing loss, coupled with your covert operations up in the Smokey Mountains, we are confident that the rest of their forces will succumb to our combined might."
Douglas still seated, smiled softly. "Pretty much what he said."
The Empress listened to the Generals plan of attack and found it very appealing, it complimented what she and her allies were already planning to do. Very good. She glanced at the Ambassador, timid as he was, he was a vital pivot point in cementing an alliance between the forces supporting the Imperial Family and his native country.
"Well General, I am pleased that you could have formulated such a grand plan on such sort notice. Tell me, has your government been watching this conflict as has so many other nations? Also," she again turned to the Ambassador, "Mr.Ambassador, I understand that the General has not the authority to cement an alliance between your nation and the nations backing me. So this part of the meeting rests in your hands." She again turned away from the Ambassador, practically forgeting he was there for a moment as she began to explain the Naval crisis with Ibinius.
"General, how exactly do you plan to deal with the Ibinian Navy, I do not wish to see it destroyed, but because they revolted wholesale against my family I see no alternative. My allies have prompted several arieal plans to destroy the IRN. I wish to know your plan as well, if you do not have a plan in place that is fine. It was the same with my current allies, since Ibinius has never used its Navy in any major engagement they politely forgot it exsisted until I reminded them."

26-05-2007, 07:28
Douglas opened his mouth to speak, but the Empress turned away from him and started talking to General Kirkuten again. Just as well, he didn't have much to say at the moment regardless. The General, however, that was a different story completely.
"Our 1st Attack Carrier Group consists of ten ships. A carrier, two battleships, two cruisers, one air-defense cruiser, a medical ship, two submarines, and our brand new Duo-class Marine assault carrier. They can be deployed wherever you wish, and the FSS Duo can deploy up to 10,000 Marines, 300 tanks, and 24 helicopters to any stretch of shoreline that it is near, including the docks your rouge navy is coming out of. However, the choice is yours, of course. Wherever you need them, they will go." Kirkuten continued to stand at his military attention. After so many years, it was pretty much engraved into his DNA.
She listened to the Generals response. Jessica was happy to hear that the navy of Ambrose-Douglas could handle the Ibinian Navy. Then a thought struck her.
"General, would it be at all possible for you to approach New York City stealthly by sea, if can capture that city, we could begin a pincer movement and enclose the rebel forces in the center. Also destroying the rouge Ibinian Navy's ability to react." the Empress still ignored the Ambassador, if this timid man had anything to say, he should stand up and say it. The Empress was not trying to be rude, but she really had neither the time, nor the patience for punitive formalities. She needed action, and swift results from those actions. She wanted her country back! She constantly looked down on herself in disgrace for losing the land of her fathers to a bunch of rebels. She choked down her sudden need to scream outloud and listened to the General as he spoke.

26-05-2007, 07:42
General Kirkuten nodded slowly as he tapped the map again, and it extended upward to show the entirety of the east coast. He tapped his chin thoughtfully. It could be arranged... it'd be tricky, but, if the timing was right, under the cover of darkness...
"Your majesty, I think we have a plan." The General exclaimed. "Our 1st Carrier Assault Group will move up around New York City, and our Marines will take, first the major airports, and then the rest of the city. Between air cover from their own helicopters, and the FSS Prince James Douglas' fighters, we should be able to take and hold the city. We can then send fighter and bomber reinforcements to be based out of the airports while the Marines conduct guerrilla warfare throughout the northeast, under extensive air cover. Empress, I believe we have a plan that will succeed." The General smiled again, a rarity for him, while Ambassador Douglas merely nodded from his end of the table. This military talk meant next to nothing to him, all he needed to know was that once this mess was over, they would have a treaty with the Empress.
The Empress's opinion of the General increased everytime he spoke. He was a military genius in her opinion, even though she was not much of a military person herself; she found herself agreeing with him at every instance.
"Well General, I too believe we have a plan of assault. I hereby give you permission to use any force neccasary to complete your mission. Destroy the city if need be. The rebellious bastards deserve it, I hope this doesn't offend you, but....I just can't understand why they hate the Imperial Family so much, why they hate me so much, it should be me who hates them! They killed my father and my brother-which led to my mothers suicide!" the Empress quickly gained control of her emotions, she could not break down now, not now. She asked the General to please take a seat, noticing that the Ambassador was not going to say anything unless addressed, the Empress obliged.
"Mr.Ambassador, do you think a mutal protection pact, or some similar treaty could be arranged between our respective nations?"

26-05-2007, 07:58
The General bowed graciously and made no indication that he had heard the outburst. Upon returning to his seat, he started tapping out a message on his PDA, an order to Under-General Gavin Fortuon of the Ambrosian 1st Army and Vice Admiral Seamus Colisto of the 1st Carrier Assault Group to prepare to be deployed as soon as he returned, if not sooner. Ambassador Douglas, meanwhile, stood, smoothed some non-existent wrinkles out of his suit, and cleared his throat to speak.
"President Ambrose is prepared to offer you the full services that we have described here, Empress, at no cost for as long as this conflict lasts, barring an invasion of our homeland. He also has stated that the Douglas 1st Army will be placed on stand-by should the situation worsen here. All we ask in return is your friendship, your cooperation, and the permission to build an embassy here once this conflict is resolved." Douglas paused for a moment to let his proposition hang in the air. "Does that sound acceptable to you, your majesty?"
The Empress grinned, timid as always, she hadn't known the Ambassador for more than two hours and she already had a subtle distaste for the man. Maybe under other circumstances she may have like him, but now....timidity is useless.
"Yes Ambassador, your nation my set up an embassy in my nation once the conflict is over. I have but one other request that would require either you, the General or the President; see, I fully intend to punish every leader of the rebel republican government. They will be tried in the Imperial Court, and sentenced and then they will be tried again in the World Court. This will require a representative from each allied nation. Will you comply? I also wish to know if it would be at all possible to leave a total of 5000 men for a period of three years after the conflict is resolved, as a sort of peace keeping force until I can get my country back on its own two feet. Several other nations are also leaving 'Peace Keeping' forces as well," she looked at the General, "perhaps that last part would be better suited being discussed with you General?"
Ambrose-Douglas
26-05-2007, 08:14
The General opened his mouth to speak, but, for once, the Ambassador overtook him.
"5,000 troops would be an acceptable number, your majesty." He said, shooting a pointed glance at the General. "As for your Imperial Court, I believe President Ambrose would be happy to take a seat on it. I will consult with him tonight and will let you have an answer by tomorrow morning." Knowing that not much else could be done at the moment until meeting with the other allies for solidify the plans of attack, Douglas stood. "With your majesty's leave?"
The Empress was a bit surprised when the Ambassador interrupted the General. 'Good job Mr. Ambassador, gain control of the situation...' she thought.
All three stood up at nearly the same time. She grinned at the General and also at, though not as fully, the Ambassador.
"Well Gentlemen, there will be a few soldiers to escort you to you rooms and I will see you later, please feel free, once you have situated yourself in your private quarters, to explore the Palace. And if you wish, you may visit me as well." She walked towards the door, the two men behind her.

Once they had departed the room and had said goodnight to the Empress, Douglas smiled sheepishly over to Kirkuten. "So, Hames, how do you think I did in there?"
"Terrible." Answered Kirkuten. When not describing military plans, he rarely said more than one or two words. "Do that tomorrow, you make us look weak. The others will walk all over you."
"I know, I know... it was just my first major diplomatic mission. I didn't want to screw anything up."
"What you can screw up with talking, you can screw up with silence." Hames proclaimed as they reached their chambers. "Nice job at the end though." Benjamin laughed shortly and walked to his chambers. Tomorrow was going to be a rough day.
OOC: This was great, I need sleep now though. It's 3:31 am my time. See you later?
The Empress, bowed slightly as the men left the room. She grinned slightly when she heard the General telling the Ambassador he did a horrible job in there. She walked through a door to the left of the room and undressed. She walked over to her closet and dressed in a silken nightgown and lay in her bed. Tomorrow would be a long day, and the days after it would only get longer. Because of her weakness many young men from many countries would die in order to restore her to her rightful place as Empress of Ibinius.
OOC: We must both be in the U.S. because it is that time here too. Welll I am going to get some sleep. Continue this about 7 or 8 then? Or some other day if that is more agreeable?
Ambrose-Douglas
26-05-2007, 08:38

OOC: Right, before I log out, real quick, where do you think we should take this from here?
EDIT: Well I'm logging off, see you at around 8
OOC: It is now 8:00 a.m. In all accords....bump!
OOC: I would be still willing to help if help is needed.
OOC: I would be still willing to help if help is needed.
Are you also the nation of Little Honako by any chance?
EDIT: Never mind I see now. Carry on
OOC: So Honako do you just want to pick up where we left off during the meeting earlier in the thread?
OOC: wow, Honako has already logged out. Damn.
OOC: TG me or post in here on whats happened - beforehand I had pledged troops for a ground assault and further peacekeeping - that's still my stance, I just need bckground info on what happened last night.
OOC: TG me or post in here on whats happened - beforehand I had pledged troops for a ground assault and further peacekeeping - that's still my stance, I just need bckground info on what happened last night.
OOC: The Empress left the meeting when a muted discussion was going on about the proposed Mutual Defense Treaty because she was contacted by yet another head of state, this one from the nation of Ambrose-Douglas. Their government pledged and entire Army, the Ambrosian 1st Army in fact. They also sent their Ambassador, and a General for further discussion, which I conducted in my private chambers. During this private meeting we decided on a further course of action in which a naval/marine operation would be undertaken to capture New York City and disable the Ibinian Navy before it ever set sail; once this is acomplished they are to push south towards the main offensive coming out of Florida, we will crush the rebels in the center. There was also a discussion about a hearing in the World court to decide the fate of the captured rebel president, if he is captured....and that about covers it. Right now RP time it is about noon, the meeting took place fairly early in the morning, the Empress is asleep and the two men from Ambrose-Douglas are in their private quarters. That about covers it.

OOC: Is it too late for me to jump in and give help and all that? 'Cause for some reason, i just can't stop reading about this.
Dear Emperess Romanova,
We express condolences for your family's death, and even though it might seem that we are jumping in too late, I assure, we have had some problems for ourselves. We offer emergency funds if needed. We also know about your meeting to prevent your navy from leaving. I current have 3 aircraft carriers with destroyer escorts near NYC, so we will help if needed. We also have orbital satellite recon scans, so we will know when the navy attempts to leave. I will contact my Lord Commander Militant of my military forces for further action.

Waking early, Allied-General Kirkuten stretched and walked over to his personal computer that he had brought with him to the meeting. Pulling it open, he tapped a few buttons, bringing up five screens. In the upper two screens were General Solias Gergan and Admiral Franklin Piet, heads of the Army and Navy, respectfully. The middle screen was occupied by General Spencin Altonar, head of the Ambrose-Douglas Air Force. Finally, the bottom two screens were occupied by Under-General Gavin Fortuon of the Ambrosian 1st Army, and Vice Admiral Seamus Colisto of the 1st Carrier Assault Group.
"Gentlemen... good morning. The plan is in motion. After our meeting with the queen last night, this is what we have laid out..."
"Hello, President Montego? This is Captain Flint LeGuin, 57th Airborne." Captain Flint LeGuin asked over the phone.
"Yes, what do you need Captain?" Quinn responded.
"The 57th Airborne is fully operational, we got your strategy about securing the nukes and have compiled a take down procedure. All we need is the go ahead from you, sir." Flint explained.
"Why didn't the Generals call? No offence Captain, but I don't usually get calls from people your rank."
"They are busy with the beach-head plans, sir. They asked me to make the call."
"Alright then, thank you for informing me, I will call you when I get everything sorted out with the other leaders."
Quinn waited patiently for the other leaders and once again examined the room. He needed to know when his troops should begin the operation.
-Just outside of Illion, 1st Amphibious Fleet and 2nd Fleet.
The admiral was quiet as he gazed at the port. The men were aware of the seriousness of the mission and that the fight would be far from easy.
After a short moment the admiral picked up his radio.
"Inform the president that we are in place and ready to go." The admiral said and then walked out of the ship's bridge.
Quinn had a copy of the S.A.F sit-rep with him. He had finished speaking with the fleet officiers.
The Navy had about 75 F/A-18s, F-14s, A-6s, and E-2s with them. Along with the 78th Composite Assault Squadron (2 RM01s, 1 MIG-29, and 2 F-16s) which was a veteran squadron, all pilots were aces.
The combined fleets were made of two submarines, 2 battleships, 2 aircraft carriers, 16 destroyers, 2 frigates, and 4 cruisers.
The S.A.F Forces present were:
Initial Force
24th Amoured Division- 3000 men, 1000 M1A1 Abrams Tanks (included)
81st Infantry Division - 5000 men
57th Airborne Division - 3000 men
1st Amphibious Division- 3000 men, 1000 M1A1 Abrams Tanks (included)
45th Auxiliary Division - 1000 men (medical, supply, transports, and command units)
Task Force Condor- 100 men (highly trained)
Once a beach head was secured the Airforce would possibly bring in
4 Bomber Flights (75 B-52s)
8 Fighter/Bomber flights (150 R-M01s)
12 Fighter Flights (100 SU-35s, 100 MIG 29s)
Quinn looked at sit-rep twice more then approached the Empress's room before knocking.
"Ma'am, my officiers have informed me that my fleets have arrived. I have a copy of the S.A.F Details, and the Admiral says that we are ready for the invasion, just give us the word and my airborne unit will secure the nukes, and my special ops unit will secure your palace." Quinn explained not knowing if she could hear him or not, "My most sincere apologies if I interrupting anything. I will be in the room we met in earlier should you have any questions."
He waited a few seconds then walked down the hall.

Dear Empress Romanova
It appears you still have not answered my previous letter.
I have spoken with my Lord Commander Militant, General Creed, and he wishes permission to enter your city and set up a headquarters and keep the peace. We will divide the city into sections and have the appropiate amount of forces patrol each area.
If you do accept, my nation will also help Silvado in securing the Royal Palace. And, as a token of faith, I will be visting your country in a few days.
Regards
Emperor Marneus Calgar VII

OOC: I am sorry if I am aggravating anyone who is participating in this thread, I am still posting on it, but due to conflicting timezones and the like it is really hard for me to be here when everyone else is posting. The best times for me are generally Friday,Saturday, and early Sunday. I may post a little during the week, but because I have to use dial up during the week it my post may be infrequent. I use cable internet on the weekend (I visit relatives with cable modem you see) and that is when i get the majority of my posts in. Again sorry if I am upsetting anyone by not posting during the week, when apparently everyone else is posting, but if at all possible please save your posts 'till either Friday night, Saturday night, or early morning Sunday; so I am reply quickly instead of you having to wait all week for a response.
Sargeant Major Jefferson stood infront of his squad leaders, map of the target in his hands.
"Alright, we have to retake this palace. Expect dug in defenders...This won't be easy. We will drop in and then quickly secure the building and the grounds. After that we are to defend from any counter attack. Supplies will be dropped when we succeed in the capture. Hopefully once we clear it out it will just be R&R." Jefferson said, "Get your gear ready, we could be called any minute now."
The men nodded and ran off to organize gear.
----
Quinn Montego sat quietly as he waited for the go-ahead to order his forces in. Everything was set to go according to S.A.F officiers. Silvado had a small relatively small force, but many more could be called in if needed.
"Shouldn't be too hard once the palace and nukes are secured..." Quinn whispered to himself.

100 miles off the coast of New York City
The 1st Carrier Assault Group ran under little power. All they needed was the go ahead, and 10,000 Marines, 5,000 tanks, and 48 helicopters, covered by about 144 planes from the carriers would race over the three airports and secure them, allowing the Ambrosian 2nd Air Force to land and establish a base.
Vice Admiral Seamus Colisto stood on the bridge of his brand new Archangel-class battleship, appropriately named the FSS Archangel. They had just received the order for thirty of the new battleships before they headed out, and now they were going to try out their new toys. The presence of the four extra Archangel-class battleships, as well as the new Phoenix-class aircraft carrier bolstered their force considerably. Smiling, he looked out over the FSS Archangel's bow to view the other ships of his fleet.
The FSS Prince James Douglas, their older aircraft carrier, sailed slowly alongside the new FSS Skyward. Between them was the air defense cruiser, the FSS Fortress. The FSS Duo, launching platform for their Marines, moved serenely ahead of all three. Two cruisers escorted her, the FSS Sting and the FSS Lightning. Surrounding the group were their six battleships. The two, older Bombard-class battleships were the FSS Bombard and the FSS Decimator. Even further outside of them sailed the other three Archangel-class battleships, the FSS Daring, the FSS Goliath, and the FSS Calypso. The hospital ship FMS Mercy moved along at the back of the formation, and, somewhere under the water were their two submarines, the FSS Hammerhead and the FSS Silent.
The Vice Admiral smiled. The rebels wouldn't know what had hit them.
Rounding the southern tip of Florida
The Ambrosian 1st Army and their transport ships sailed on stealthily. They were to get into position for an amphibious assault on the northern part of the peninsula, starting with an airdrop and following up with a tank assault. Under-General Gavin Fortuon smiled to himself. Rebels. He couldn't believe the Empress had allowed herself to be removed by a bunch of ragtag freedom fighters. Soon they would meet the might of the Ambrosian armies... and be sent back hightailing it for the hills.
ooc: bump I guess
ic: The 1st Amphibious and the 2nd Fleet were all ready for the invasion. They had moved towards the Florida region and just outside of airstrike distance, they could be ready to invade in half a day.
Quinn waited patiently for the Empress's order to send in the airborne and special ops. The palace would fall quickly to the highly trained Task Force Condor troops. However, Quinn worried about the 57th attempting to take the nuke silos.
