Greetings from Skgorria to the children of the world!

Are you aged between the ages of 12-18?
Are you brave, resourceful and eager for a challenge?
Then we might have something for you!

This year marks the start of the Skgorrian Friendship Program, in which children from all over the world are invited to come to Skgorria for a year, stay with a Skgorrian family who have children their own age and sample what it means to be a Skgorrian. All costs will be paid by the Skgorrian Government.

We have three placement options open, Military, Paramilitary and Civillian. Each one will give you a unique insight into a unique and proud culture and way of life.

Military

You will be attached to a Skgorrian military unit for a year and will be billeted with a Skgorrian officer and his family. You will become the personal responsibility of the officer and will learn a great deal. The units availible are:

5th SS Panzer Division "Zionbane"

5th SS Panzer "Zionbane" is the cream of the SS tank force. Formerly made up of Brznovian Red Tank Guards, this unit is now exclusively Skgorrian and has witnessed a massive rise in prestige thanks to its role in the War of Seperation. This unit is the first in the SS to have a female CO. Here the child will learn the manners and mechanisms of armoured warfare, and will even take a course to learn how to drive the armoured vehicle of their choice from the division's arsenal.

Special Action Division

Where the Skgorrian Military goes, Special Action Division follows. This SS formation is only lightly armed with light vehicles and aircraft, but its role is not front-line combat. Instead SAD fights a war of counter-insurgency, propaganda and psychological warfare, pacifying the land and making it safe for life to resume. Here you will learn a great deal about counter-insurgency warfare and the valuable role of propaganda, as well as undergoing several weaks of basic infantry and escape and evasion training.

18th SS Panzergrenadier Division "Landstorm Skgorria"

18th SS is the Skgorrian SS' finest mechanised infantry unit, and one of the oldest as well (a division called "Landstorm Skgorria" was formed in the summer of 1942 to fight the Soviets). Such pride is evident of any soldier lucky enough to serve in the 18th SS, and any child who wishes to join this formation must be exceptionally dedicated and brave. The 18th will teach you all about the conduct of mechanised infantry, how to fight like a mechanised infantry soldier and you will participate in the Grand Finale Parade of the annual Party Rally.

8th Air Army

8th Air Army is part of 3rd Air Fleet, Skgorria’s answer to any invasion force. With a recently completed deal with several multinational arms dealers, this formation includes over 600 strategic bombers and a full wing of B-1 bombers, as well as several hundred fighters, light ground attack aircraft and a variety of helicopter gunships. In this unit, you will be assigned to an aircraft squadron of their choice: fighter, bomber, ground attack, air refueling, AWACS, recon, the choice is yours! Assuming you pass the exams, you will even get the chance to fly a real aircraft.

At the end of the year, all your training will be put to use as you will fly out with your unit to Airstrip One in South Africa for a training exercise. You will not be employed in active duty and will never be placed under hostile fire.

Paramilitary

You will be attached to a Skgorrian paramilitary unit for a year and will be billeted with a Skgorrian officer and his family. You will become the personal responsibility of the officer and will learn a great deal. The units availible are:

State Police - open to 18 year olds only

The primary job of the SP is to keep law and order in Skgorria, and stop trouble before it happens. Skgorrian police are armed with pistols as standard, and often carry heavier weapons such as shotguns in their patrol cars. This is probably the most demanding of all the placements, and if you are considering applying for it then you must be warned that you will be placed in harms way. Nevertheless, this will be a rewarding experience as you will learn all the skills that a Skgorrian State Policeman needs to do his or her job.

Skgorrian Youth Legion

All Skgorrian youths between the ages of 5 and 18 are members of this organisation. It teaches youths military tactics as well outdoor pursuits and interests similar to that of the Boy Scouts movement. If you choose to be placed here, you will be fully involved in the running of Skgorrian Youth Legion activities and the administration of a Skgorrian Youth Legion unit.

Civillian

You will be billeted with a Skgorrian family. You will become the personal responsibility of the head of the family and will learn a great deal. We have openings in the fields of administration, healthcare, transport, information technology and farming.

Skgorria shall not be seeing any Hotdian children joining such a disgusting system under any government guidance. A system where children are forced into a paramilitary youth organisation from the age of 5 is wrong morally and ethically, despite any assurances to the fact that it is similar to the "boy scouts". To us its also sexist, scouts do not have to be boys any longer, welcome to the 21st century may we say.

As such Hotdogs2 will add this information to those seeking to visit Skgorria and warn any migrants of what will be expected should they become citizens. However, as a democratic and free nation we shall not be stopping citizens who feel they would do well to join Skgorria's system, but will require a signature from legal guardians of under 18s who seek to join the system, and of the child themselves.

The aim of Vetakan Foreign Affairs Department is to provide information and advice to all Vetakan Citizens whom intend to visit Nations around the world. Altough the Skgorrian Friendship Program is theoretically out of Foreign Affairs Jurstiction I have been instructed by the Vetakan President to write to you to request a few details that need clarifiying for a number of Vetakan Parents whom have asked the Foreign Affairs Department to contact you. Such questions are detailed below:

1) During a Placement in any posting. What measures are in place to ensure Child Abuse or Distress does not occur?

2) Should the nation of Skgorria go to War what measures are in place to protect the children? Would they be expected to fight?

3) Is the child free to leave? If so would the childs parents be expected to "buy them out" as it were? If so how much?

4) Will the Child ever be forced to do somthing he/she is unwilling or unable to do? Will the child ever be placed in unacceptable danger?

5) Is the child required to sign any document that would force them to withhold information? For example if a child was to come into contact with "Classified or Sensitive" information would that child be required to sign a legal document preventing any release of information?

I have also been instructed by the Vetakan President to outline Vetaka's position on the subject, Vetaka is a Democracy as such we will not stop anybody from joining the Program however all prospective participants must have legal consent from their Guardians and must Inform Vetakan Foreign Affairs via Form VFA-156 that they intend to join the Program providing evidence that Legal Consent is given. Firstly, the Skgorrian Youth Legion has been a proud and established piece of Skgorrian society for many years. We are proud of it, it does much for our culture and will continue to shape our children.

Secondly, we described the Youth Legion as similar to the Boy Scouts movement because it shares more characteristics than with the Girl Guide movement. We would also remind you that the Boy Scout movement was founded as a youth paramilitary organisation, as was the unit upon which Baden-Powell based his first Scouting group.

Fourthly, you seem to misinterpret what we are offering. We are not trying to persuade children to leave their parents and become Skgorrians, merely take part in Skgorrian life for a year.

Official Communique From The Skgorrian Foreign Ministry To Vetakan Foreign Affairs

We are of course happy to clear up any questions and provide any information that is requested of us.

1) During a Placement in any posting. What measures are in place to ensure Child Abuse or Distress does not occur?

Regular checks will be carried out by both Social Services and the State Police. In addition, any breaches of conduct by the hosts will be met with the most severe of punishments. The child will be given regular access to communications equipment to keep in touch with their home nation, and visitors will be most gladly welcomed.

2) Should the nation of Skgorria go to War what measures are in place to protect the children? Would they be expected to fight?

In the event of a war, the temporary guardian of the child will be responsible for taking the child to a secure location such as a Deep Shelter or the countryside, away from any major urban or military targets. They would not be expected to fight, and if the child's unit is called up to fight then the child will either remain in Skgorria or will return home if it is safe enough.

3) Is the child free to leave? If so would the childs parents be expected to "buy them out" as it were? If so how much?

We feel that unless the child is willing to commit for the whole year, they should not apply. We would ask that they stay for a minimum of four months, but parents are free to withdraw their children whenever they want at no charge. Travel costs will be paid for by the Skgorrian state.

4) Will the Child ever be forced to do somthing he/she is unwilling or unable to do? Will the child ever be placed in unacceptable danger?

For the first part: Forced? No. Encouraged? Yes. Broadening horizons and trying new things is what this program is all about. For the second part, the child will never be placed in danger.

5) Is the child required to sign any document that would force them to withhold information? For example if a child was to come into contact with "Classified or Sensitive" information would that child be required to sign a legal document preventing any release of information?

This situation is highly unlikely, but if it does come to pass then yes they will.

We would remind the Vetakan government that we are not trying to kidnap children, merely give them an oppurtunity to travel and learn.

The government of Kryozerkia has selected this girl through a democratic vote in parliament. She will be representing us as well as the Kane family who currently holds the national leadership position. Ms. Kane is an upstanding citizen and her mother currently sits as the Kryozerkian Prime Minister. Ms. Kane is best suited for a civilian position, but if the government of Skgorria feels she would have a better learning experience through the paramilitary, there will no objection met and Ms Kane is fully aware of the obligations that come with this opportunity.

The mood in the office was jubilant.
"Someone actually wants to come to Skgorria!" beamed the supervisor, happily polishing his Party badge. His optimism and happiness were not shared by his colleagues, as they had work to do.
"Sir," asked a voice from one of the innumerable cubicles that resided within the office, "what do we do about this message from the Dominion?"

Not a single Civilian has Left Lerasian soil since the 1981 revolution. "This is the great oppourtunity for our Youth!" proclaimed the President and the Magnificent leader and Conductor of the People of Lerasia. However Lerasia is still quite reluctant for its civilians to get outside Ideas and Influences but seeing the similarities between our two systems we see it will be beneficial for our children. I noticed this application going out and felt compelled to offer you advice. Vitesh Viletooth is the son of Klarr Viletooth, so try to keep him from dying. If he does die, ensure it is an honourable death. Otherwise Klarr Viletooth, and his clan Zukatha, may seek revenge. Clan Zukatha commands a fifth of the Charrian Horde along with considerable respect with the other clans, including my own, so do not take such a prospect lightly.

He also needs to return to Tyria in nine months to attend his Coming of Age ceremony, a fact he neglected to mention in his application. His father will extract him from your country a week or two in advance of this date.

This Irena Herobrescu's family'. Her father works high up in the government and lives a good life, the mother, Bela also works at the government but in a lower post and works smaller hours, the younger brother is currently away on a Young Patriots camp and will be back in 4 months. The child would stay with them in their townhouse in Berezen and attend the Luronesco School. If you accept schooling at Luronesco would be free and the Child would be the First Civilian Foriegner to Lerasia in 25 years.

We have no need of a formal 'exchange program.' We have always welcomed all people to live and work amongst us on a either temporary or long-term basis. Droskianishk will not be sending any children to Skgorria for the simple fact that we do not wish our children to be dumbed down in the art of warfare. The fact that you still have heavy armored panzer units shows that your military is stuck in the Third Generation of Warfare although the Fourth Generation has been in existence for over seventy years. If though you were perhaps to open up small 4GW( fourth generation of warfare) units usually more widely known as "guerilla" the Department of International Affairs may be persuaded to allow children from Droskianishk to attend. The fact that all people in Free Outer Eugenia and the entire continent of Lesser Aperin do live in equality and work together freely undermines your feeble ideology. We once toiled under 'the firm hand of a leader.' All that we know of delusion and squalor in our society comes from those years. Liberty has brought us nothing but prosperity and enlightenment.
