Alacea is now begininng to expand its economy and diplomatic interests, and citizens are allowed to pass to and fro Alacea now that our government has relinquished its grip of isolationism on the people.

Acaria, the beautiful capital city of Alacea, is now open for embassies. The following is the listing:

Ambassador Bio: Born into high society in 1950 in the Capital of Lerasia, the city of Berezin. He lived a luxurious life living in a expensive family town house. He grew up with a tutor until the age of 10, he then attended the Presitious 'Luronesco' Private school. when he turned 18 his father who was an important government bribed the army so his son would not be conscripted. Gorishcov then continued onto University taking classes on political sciences, diplomatic relations and history. Thanks to his fathers connections Gorishcov got a position in government. It was a low position but at least it was in government. when he turned 30, dissolusioned with the governmnet system he joined a bunch of radical Agitators. The present Leader of Lerasia was the leader. the Movement was crushed and they were exiled but they returned a year later in force. within a month the nation was in an Uproar, riots, demonstration and Rebel forces marching up to the Parliament Building. The Magnificent Leader took power in 1981 and Gorishcov was rewarded with a high paying government job. Gorishcov played a large roll in Lerasia's acceptance in the UN a couple of days ago and now he is ready for his first diplomatic posting in a foriegn nation.

I hope some postmodernish touches (Essentially the stuff you see in NS issues) aren't a problem?

The office is a decidedly bland one, with little being there, apart from a plant, a meowing kitten attempting to nibble on its leaves, a few postmodernish paintings on the walls, a gigantic number of books that - if the dust settled on them is any indication - haven't been read in roughly a decade, and a desk with a barely visible computer on top.

The computer itself is barely visible not because it's some sort of exceedingly high-tech product fitting in a purse, but because entire mountain ranges worth of paperwork are hiding it from the hypothetical spectator's view.

Behind the desk, visibly exhausted but oddly satisfied, an oldish woman - probably in her mid-forties - is working, occasionally typing on her keyboard in furious bursts of activity, then sitting back and reading yet another document, and every now and then swallowing down some of that horrible tea available in the ministry.

Patricia Sachs is a successful woman, but she's not exactly having the most pleasant job in the world.

And eventually, she reads Alacea's notice to the world.

Dear Alexander Salem,

It'd be my - and my nation's - pleasure to exchange embassies with Alacea, particularly as we're sadly devoid of the same since the fractal, and it'd be a considerably good idea for us to go out and look at whomever else is out there.

And as your nation appears to follow ideals not entirely dissimilar to our own, permanent diplomatic missions appear to be a perfectly good idea indeed.

You'll probably find that our choice of ambassador is a very young and inexperienced one, but we fully trust his skills, and - courtesy of losing most of our experienced personnel during the fractal -, have little choice in the matter.

Ambassador Bio: A graduate of the Free University Berlin (Political Science and Economics), with two semesters spent abroad (École Diplomatique, Paris), Mr. Paulsen lacked the usual, technical skills expected by the mainstream society, and quickly started his career as a professional diplomat, becoming economic attaché at the French embassy (Pre-Fractal) for four years before returning home in between assignments (Which he could never attend to, as the Fractal occured only days later). Josef looked amused as he watched his daughter trying to catch Lars' tail while the oversized kitten spent its time lazing about and watching the girl, somewhat annoyed, but not overly concerned by the hyperactive human thing trying to catch a cat several times her own weight. Only occasionally did it paw at Christine, probably more to entertain her than anything else - something it managed pretty well, as Christine tended to laugh for a minute straight every time she fell over.

His wife was still at work (Which in their case meant that she was sitting in front of her computer, and tending to her son in between coding and feeling her as-of-yet unborn daughter kicking her, but still), and so it was him answering the (Ancient, but it looked pretty) phone. And having done that, he was left musing to himself and dealing with his surprise, barely noticing his daughter trying to climb up his leg.

Talk about something unexpected happening. On the bright side, at least he'd no longer be unemployed.

I'm happy to hear that you've accepted our request. Ambassador Paulsen's doubtlessly on his way - establishing the basics shouldn't take longer than a week.

On a side note, regarding the establishment of an embassy on our soil, I don't foresee any issues - The presence of guards (Particularly an excessive number of the same with MilSpec equipment) would likely be considered inappropriate, but that's about it. Other than that, we're pretty flexible in such matters.

Of course, we don't have any specific embassy quarter, but a few mansions either at the outskirts of Berlin or (If you're environmentally sensitive or have issues with heat, this is probably preferable) Narsarsuaq (Still a bit chilly, but a pretty nice and lush spot since the ice melted) are readily available.

Would it be possible for us to construct our own embassy complex rather than moving into one of the previously constructed ones? We would cover the complete cost of building the structure.
