OOC:Ungarnes Reich is my friend so this is more just for fun. If you want to help him he and I get to clear it first.

Shakal Airbase Dc-11 Belegrade

The men moved fast. Only an hour ago the Empress declared war on the Ungarnes Reich. Shakal pilots got into there aircraft and took to the sky. They would be joined by almost 200 other aircraft in the first wave assult on the Ungarnes Reich. This Operation had been planned for several weeks and the Army was massed on the border reacdy to strike as soon as the airforce had made te first run.

10 km South Of The Danube River Crossings Into The Ungarnes Reich

High Field Marshall Mannstein recieved the go for the advance. Immediatly he relayed the order and the Shakal Panscrier Formations surged forward. There goal was to outdue the speed at which the The Peoples Freedom took out North Cavalras, one week. If Mannstein could help it the war would be over in 5 days. The Shakal 1st Panscrier was headed for Budapest, the Reichs capital, the 4th Army was headed for Budachrest, and the 8th Army was assigned the goal of taking and holding Slovakia.

Outpost Position Fgg-245423, Outskirts Of The Ungarnes Reich

"What the hell is that?" Corpral Johnson said loking at his radar. Just a second ago over a hundred hostile signals had appeared on the screen. At first he thought that it was a glitch. But then they remained and more appeared. He called over his CO and informed him.

"Holy CRAP!! Send the warning to the War Ministry FAST!" The dots were almost overtop of them. Johnson got on the phone and called up the Ministry and informed them. In the meantime his CO James Enns looked out the window and his jaw dropped. What he was was roughly 200 Shakal planes flying overhead. One of the Bn-IVs dived down and used its siren to intimidate the men in the outpost. They all thought it was over. Everyone exhaled when it joined the rest of its allies. They want us to know there coming. Was the last thought that ran through the Corprals head before he feinted.

Ungarnes Reich Airbase, 45km North Of Budapest

The Siren went off as news of the approaching Shakal aircraft spread. All over the Empire aircraft were called up and scrambling. Nt many could be up in time.

Reich Border Positions

"Fire as soon as you can confirm there Shakal." Was the rder recieved by the men of the Reichs border defences. They had also known that this war was coming and prepared as fast as they could. There neighbors to the South would hopefully fail in crossing the Danube buying a day or two for the army to defend iself. The demolitions teams detonated the charges and blew the bridges all along the border in an attempt to slow the Shakal forces down. In the meantime the army was reading and mobilizing.

Directly South Of Budachrest Over Danube River

"They blew the Bridges?" Mannstein asked just for confirmation. This little loophole set his plans back a few hours. "Tell the engineers to get there asses in gear. I want us over this river by lunchtime." The message was out. The Shakal Engineers had come under some fire from border patrols but they were easily handled.

Air Over The Ungarnes Reich
The Shakal Bn-IV siren blared as it dove towards the Ungarnes ground troops assembled at an airfield. They began to take cover and some even ran. The Fighter/Bomber dropped its bimbs and pulled up hearing the resounding crash as 20 100 lb bombs totally destroyed the entire airfield and all the planes still trying to take off. Afterward it headed back up to help the other Shakal aircraft as they crushed the pathetic Ungarnes Reich forces that did manage to take to the sky. All the skies over the Reich were dotted with Shakal aircraft. Already Shakal FallschrimJager forces had landed to take key defensive strongpoints. Bombs were unloaded into all military positions in safe sky zones. It seemed as if a victory in 5 days was possible.

Skies Over The Reich

The Ungarnes Reich pilots were totally overwhelmed by the Shakal's superior aircraft numbers and equipment. So far 27 of the Reichs airborne fighters were down. More were coming to help from the north. The Shakal sirens destroyed the morale the Reichs ground forces still had. Many ran but the vetrans and those with proper officers around headed for the borders to mount a suitable defence.

South Borders Of The Reich

The Chancellor ordered over half a million men mobilized. They would be ready in 60 days. He doubted that the armed forces could last that long but he wouldnt let any one else know that. As of now all available forces were being called up and sent to the front. 3 armored divisions were also being sent along with them. They were outnumbered, outgunned, but they were defending there homelands from a foreign invader.

With the Ungarnes reinforcements many Shakal Fallshrimjager forces were cut off from supplies. In response twelve Shakal squardrons were taking off to help with the first wave.

Mannstein ordered the 2nd Army to assist in the attack. He had made a crucial mistake. The bridges were supposed to be taken by Fallshrimjager forces just before the attack had begun. He would rectify the situation with the total defeat of the Ungarnes Reich.

Skies Over The Reich

The Shakal aircraft were totally dominating the smaller forces of the Reich. The Ungarnes aircraft fought desperatly but couldnt match the Shakal fighters. The Chancellor had just ordered total mobilization of the army, and the airforce, or what was left of it. If the main punch of the Shakal offensive could be blunted then a chance for victory existed.

OOC:I forgot to post general casualties for the air attacks on my airfields but this is all of my airforce that exists anymore. I count my helicopters as the army, just to say.

Reich Defensive Lines

"Fire at will!" Immediatly several Javlin missle systems began to fire at the approaching Shakal armored units. Hopefully this would make them slow down. Every hour that the army withheld the attack bought more time for help to be called up.

"Sir, approaching Shakal airforces!" Private Johnson yelled.

"Take Cover!" The Sergant yelled. The entire squad fell and hid under any cover they could find. The Sergant watched as the Shakal Bn-IV aircraft formed up and dove in a perfect formation straight at the defence line. He could also hear the rumble of armor approaching. He closed his eyes when the dreaded Siren began to wail. It always signaled death. A few seconds later several earth shaking explosions shook the ground underneath him. The planes went passed having done there job. Johnson sat up and looked around with his head down the Shakal armor were getting closer.

"What now sir?" He asked.

"Fall back to the woods. We can hold longer there." The Sergant looked around. Many other commanders had the same idea and were retreating into the forest. The defence line looked fine. except for a small 300m opening just to Johnsons left. In its place was a gap of nothing. The men retreated to the woods and planned to make there stand there.

On The Road To Budapest

Mannstein sat quietly as the HQ veichle slowly headed forward. The 1st Panscrier was meeting stiif resistance but it would be dealt with easily. The tanks were slowly moved to the flanks of the Ungarnes troops and the infantry advanced directly down the center supported by heavy artillery and air support. They had just moved to within firing distance of the Reich troops and begun the attack only a few minutes ago.
