"Hey, go down to the Freak Show-the Dealers got the joints down there that we need to ship to Miami."

Area 51 Tech Mike Randall sighed. He was always the poster boy to go down to the lair of the scientists who never saw the light of day-the wierd guys. They were the scientists who worked on Area 51's real issues-the ones that had virtually made the site from a basic military compound into OMI's top-secret base of do-all, test-all. The 'home' of these scientists was deep under the mountain range that bordered the massive installation-far underground. Inside there was a medium hanger, a giant genetics lab, and several preservation storage cells.

Randall quickly moved down the elevator, passing by security-he was a member of Section 0, though everyone who wasn't of 0 considered him a Section 1 member. All part of OMI's secret wheelings and dealings. Now the office had a new plan, one a bit more destructive. With the turbulence of the Western Hemisphere over recent years, OMI's command had taken it into mind that the best course of the Americas was under America. Quite literally. Whether President Frist and the rest of the government didn't think so was of no consequence-the secret intelligence agency had made up its mind, and so the nation would go.

The elevator opened on the sixteenth floor-the floors getting higher as they went lower, rather than the reverse as was standard. Randall got out in a peculiar room for such an installation-it seemed like a standard supply room. Inside it were tools, shovels, chainsaws, several guns, and repair equipment and material. Standard supply. However, Randall knew what he was doing. He moved to the right side of the room, counted three "bricks" from the right corner of the room and eight from the floor. The room wasn't actually brick, it was metal-but it was shaped like brick and even felt like brick with the special coating.

Touching several "bumps" in the certain brick, the entire wall began to bend down and to the left-revealing the process inside. Randall stepped in-he was a regular down here, always carrying around messages. Several scientists in lab coats moved around, carrying documents or folders. Randall moved past them, looking slightly out of place-he was a "Floor One Station" member, meaning he wore loose clothes-an UnderArmour T-shirt. basketball shorts, and Asics running shoes. Compared to him, the scientists looked absolutely nice.

"I gotta hook up your joints," Randall said when coming across one of the scientists. "1st is shipping in a few days to review for CINCOMPAC."

The story was a hoax, of course-CINCOMPAC wasn't getting the bombs, Miami and then Guantanamo would be. But the scientists weren't to know that.

"Ah yes," the scientist, Richard Bidwell, replied. "Right this way."

Bidwell led Randall past the part where the intel agent always shivered about-what Section 0 called the "Freak Show". Five preservation cells-units with preserving liquids and fluids-containing five bodies that clearly were not human. The heads of said beings were flattened and extended, tentacles as apendages lower, and skinny looking legs. The bodies were slightly deflated from sixty years in the solution, but it was clear that they had never been of this Earth.

"I see you're noticing our collection," Bidwell beamed. "After all these years, still in perfect shape."

"I...see. Very interesting there. Anything we get from them?" Randall asked. It was all about the guns.

"Well, some very interesting medicines. In particular, the booming success of Viagra comes directly from harvested and cloned DNA," Bidwell replied. "We infused the ribosomes of a cell with booster agents then let the cell grow. Put in ideal conditions-we used a solution of blood, water, and perchloric acid-to boost transfer of amino acids within the cell."

"Uh-huh," said Randall, somewhat revolted that aliens now could induce massive erections.

"We're currently working on even better," Bidwell went on, as if he had nothing else to do. "Using human stem cells, we merged one with a particular mutated alien cell-particularly, it was missing several organelles, including the nucleolus, which was odd, seeing as these creatures are actually biologically very close to us humans-their cells are eukaryotic. The merged cells then developed into a fairly large culture. From this, the applications we discovered were astounding. We were able to cure a breeding form of colon cancer developing in a test. In particular, they acted like assisting cells-they could sub in potentially anywhere."

Randall was getting annoyed with all the "particulars". He wanted the bombs.

"Interesting. So where do you keep the joints?" he inquired-joints being the codename for the bombs being developed.

"Ah, towards the rear. I'll show you."

Randall sighed inwards, but followed the scientist as the moved through the genetics department and into the chemistry section of Floor 16-where the bombs were being developed.

"Right here," indicated Bidwell when they had gotten sufficiently inside.

He had led Randall to a large bay-where inside, roughly fourty large, oblong devices-each about the size of two people-lay inside.

"So each of these is a joint?" Randall asked.

"Indeed. Each is capable of an explosive yield greater than that of even a MOAB-though they lack the same sort of mushroom cloud explosion residue."

"How do you know that..."

"Why, we tested one. Didn't you see the test from Floor 1?"

Randall did remember...though he had thought that was an advanced nuke.

"So that's what that was. Are these nukes are conventional?"

"Purely conventional."

"What's the material?"

"Compressed cyclotrimethylenetrinitramine-we found it multiplied the explosive effect, combined with a fuse system. It has a thicker nose section, like the T12, so it can penetrate into the earth and launch a seismic effect as well."

"I see...is there an elevator lift in this bay?"

"To the right side, capable of holding a semi-truck."

"Good, I'll be using it. I need to send these off in a week max."


~Ten Days Later~

Havana
0230 EST

The lone semi truck cruised down the highways of Havana District, on course to the District Capital-conveniently, Havana. Nothing like the dirty days of history, Havana was a sparkling city-very reminiscent of an Atlantic San Diego. Palm Trees lined Highway 314 as the semi moved down it-but this semi was painted totally black. The night sky was black as well-the moon in a new cycle. Inside the semi, activity was up.

The inside carried two of the giant bombs-now dubbed the GBU-51. There were forty-three in all, but two were being used now-they would be planted, rather than dropped. Eight OMI crew sat inside the truck-four would be needed for each bomb. The truck continued down the highway quietly, heading towards a civilian section of the city. Guantanamo would be too obvious a target for foreign nationals-and the truck would be IDed going in. To hit a civilian area would be more persuading.

Havana was notable now for several major centers in the downtown sector-one being the Carribbean Financial Center, another the Gulf Trade Conventional Center. The CFC, in particular, was a large building, a skyscraper in downtown Havana that sat right next to the GTCC. While neither building was particularly neccessary in the workings of American commerce, they facilitated trade in the Western Hemisphere and were cogs in the Carribbean for American trade with Marxikhan and the CAE-the targets that OMI was going for.

As the semi pulled up to the buildings-lights on, but less active so early in the morning-the truck back opened up. The truck had pulled up into the parking garage that served both buildings. Three men piled out, and a ramp went down the back. A fourth-driving a reinforced forklift-manuevered the first bomb out of the OMI truck. The truck moved on towards the garage end facing the GTCC, and a second manuever of such was pulled off.

There would be no concealment-the bombs would be left in parking spaces in the garage. They actually almost looked like cars from where the techs left them-and then, they were primed. A four-hour timer-and then, the GTCC and the CFC would go up in flames.


Havana
0550 EST

Cars weren't all that much on the road today-it was a Sunday, after all-but the GTCC and CFC were starting to get busy as native Cubans, now under the Republic striped-and-emblazoned flag. There were about 5,500 at work so far in the skyscraped (CFC) and the complex (GTCC), cars already moving into the garage. As it was February-the bombs looked just like black cars, with the directional fins of the normal bombs sheared off. No one gave them further notice as they sipped Starbucks.

At 0553, a green timer began to tick on the bomb next to the CFC. A minute later, a timer began to tick on the one next to the GTCC. They were both reading 3:40 at the same time on their timers...moving at the same rate. Conclusively, both timers would expire at 0600. A time when commuters filled the garage, went to work, and began the day-just as the morning light began to peer through the Havanan cloud bank-but just barely. It would be a bleak day, weather-wise...possibly even winter rains.

Another kind of rain came at 0600. With a beep, both bombs's timers glowed bright orange for a brief second. Then, with a giant roar, both exploded-setting off 22,000 lb of H-6. The explosion incinerated the cars in the parking garage, tearing through any human unfortunate to be in the proximity. The blast tore upwards through the building, flinging destroyed cars through the sky, turning others into ash. It erupted out of the parking garage and tore into the foundation of the CFC.

The bomb next to the GTCC had a devestating effect. Most of its blast siphoned into the giant glass hall of the center, shooting down the causeway in a channeled explosion. People were incinerated instantly-not even knowing they were dead. The building began collapsing in on itself, all seven stories falling in.

The CFC had a far worse effect. The lowest level was torched and ashed by the giant explosion of the bomb-weakening the foundation pillars. The pillars collapsed, now nothing but filled ash-and with it came the second floor, containing much of the heating and cooling units. These went up in a fireball, blowing out the sides of the third and second floors. The building teetered as the bottom floors vaporized, balancing on a sway.

People across the street of downtown were running, screaming, as Havana FD and PD began showing up, trying to put out the fires that had sparked-but they saw that it was too late. The building would be down in minutes. They began shuttling people away, urging them to move-and move fast.

It was in vain. The CFC began coming down, the top drawing its weight down upon the now dead bottom, the entire building teetering right. The top clattered off, falling down the fifty-two stories of the building-right on top of the burning GTCC. The rest of the building followed, as a massive dust cloud came down-engulfing downtown Havana.


Chicago, Central District
0650 EST

Chancellor Bill Frist was up too early on a Sunday-and this day was just getting worse. He had been awakened thirty minutes earlier about a devestating explosion in Havana and hadn't even comprehended it. Now, however, he was getting the picture.

"Do we have units on the scene?" Frist inquired.

"Indeed we do, Mr. Chancellor," one of his aides said. "OMI units are on-site-they've supposedly found some evidence that may be of use."


Chicago, Central District
1435 EST

It had been eight hours since the bombs had devestated Havana. Chicago was now a bustling place-the capital city of the NAR was everywhere. OMI had found some incriminating evidence-and it was poorly hidden. A shrapnel of bomb fragment had been found near the site-and OMI was the best at deciphering such clues. It matched some fragments that the intel agency claimed were used by Marxikhan military forces in large aerial-drop bombs to attack fortifications-and it appeared, however, that the bomb had instead been planted. Marxikhan-and apparently something else. There was a cigaron the ground that had been blasted by the dust cloud-but was simply dusty. After removing the blast substances, the cigar was wrapped in a wrapper of the former flag of Mexico-the tri-color with the snake, eagle, and cactus. It was covered in some sort of reason, and inside was not the usual substances. Instead, it had some words.

Guatemala on one Caracas move

What the words meant was unknown-but OMI had a clue. Guatemala was a CAE possession, and Caracas a Marxikhan city. Marxikhan hadn't been a particularly friendly nation as of recent-and the pieces of the puzzle were coming together through OMI's vision. Frist clearly saw what it was-planted evidence, or just carelessness, by operators. Operators of a hostile government-but why provoke? OMI once again had some insight here as they continued to stream information to Chicago.

Apparently, there was also a semi-truck that had been left in the area. A final piece of evidence-a freighter that had been sent to the CAE carrying trade goods. The time of departure? 0430. Before the bomb-enough time to set them and leave. The truck, apparently, bore internal signs of being of Marxikhan manufacture-according to OMI. There was too many signs for it to be anything else-this was terrorism by a frustrated government that had apparently gotten the support of a fellow Latin American nation. For Frist, it was clear.

Everything added up.

At 1530 EST, Frist held a press conference.

"At six o'clock this day, February 12th, the Republic was attacked on its own soil," Frist began the conference to a flash of a hundred cameras. "We were assaulted by a force that hid in the shadows and looked to strike fear into the heart of America. They struck at our exposed flank, where we though sentiment was the greatest. But they were flawed in their plan. They underestimate the resolve of America."

"And as the day has passed, as we have recoiled from this attack, we piece together the puzzle. The creators of this tragedy which has so far taken 4,238 American lives prematurely were careless. Not only did they care not for innocent lives-men, women, and children-but they executed their job without passion. They left behind enough for us to find them-and they have become all too present. The source of this devestating conflagration has been pinpointed by the Office of Military Intelligence, and through their quick reasoning and figuring, we have been able to figure the perpetrators. We now only need the respective governmental cooperation."

Frist took a pause before continuing: "We have located the source of these terrorists, and they come from our hemisphere. They left a trail at the scene, gouding America to try and find them-tempting us with pieces. Their intention is unknown, but we have figured that they are of Marxikhan and Central American descent."

Frist let this sink in for a second: "And we as of yet still feel no ill will to either government. It is not clear at all this is state-sponsored, and doubtful that it is. With terrorism recently claiming American lives off the coast of Animarnia due to the Tamil Tigers, this could easily be another terrorist group looking to strike at freedom. But now we must be sure. I here ask both Marxikhan and the Central American Empire: Work with us. We know they have come from your nations, now we only need to get in and root these cancers out before they can do more harm. We ask of you: allow us to work with you to dig these problems out of your soil. Don't deny what has already been found-they are of your nations, that much is clear. But let us get them out."

"We have been sent a test today," Frist continued, "but with the American spirit, we can persavere! We can triumph from these evil-doers, we can overcome and make America greater, stronger, because of it! God Bless America!"

Frist walked off the podium as the cameras all clicked-but the meaning of his statements were clear. The CAE and Marxikhan had some elements inside-and Frist was hanging the lure out to draw the two nations. The weight of war hung in the balance...but beneath it all, OMI kept manipulating.

Such evidence had not actually been "found" at the scene-it had been planted by OMI there. They had left it as if in a trail, and they had done the job well. However, Marxikhan and the CAE would have to suspect something. The two nations would in no way likely believe such a story, a mere eight hours after the incident. The tensions of millions frayed.

Fidel Chavez was a quite man, only speaking when it was needed. This proved to be a virtue as he heard all the membes of his cabinet talk. He listined to Defence, War, Space and Aeronautics and was just hearing the end of Education when his assistant walked into the door. He bent down to his ear and said

"Cuba has been bombed"

"My god-"

"It destroyed some large-land mark of some sort, over 4,000 dead"

"Was it the Latin Rebels" he had hoped it was, that would make his job alot easier

"No sir, they said it was us"

Chavez stood up, his face going pale, a sign of anger and fear. "Orginize a press confrance. This is not good"

Yesterday a the capital of Cuba was bombed. It killed over 4,000 people. This is a horrible event that will go down in history. But unfortunutly we and our allies The Central America Empire were held responsible. And this i know is a lie. We have no bombs of this sort, so it could not be us. We have no need for war, and if we did why would we hold a Latin American Peace Confrance. If we wanted war why would we attack a Latin American Country? Things are not adding up.

I once again feel sorry for your loss, put i will not let you accuse our country of this horrible act! I will not stand down and take the beating for this! I recommend that you put some more time into finding out how really did this, or you better put some time into preparing for WAR!

The Prime Minister sat with his Cabinet and he began to speak with his Department of War and Department of National Security. "What chance do we stand against them?" asked Castro

"None if we are alone, bit CAE and Brasil will come to our aid"

"I just hope UR dosn't butt his head in, because if we dose this will become somthing much bigger, bigger than us all...."

Jean-Claude rushed in to the throne where the was. In a hurried voice he said, "Emperor, latest news from America, they're saying Cuba has been bombed by the Central American Empire!" "What!?" said the Emperor who immediatly moved out of the room to the nearest t.v.

As he immediatly turned on to CNN he saw complete desolation in what had one been the capital of Cuba. "What is the meaning of this!?" was all the Emperor could say.

URAHQ, Gov't District, Moscow

The war room was lit with eery red LED's casting scary shadows across the men's faces. Inside the room stood Chancellor Rovanovic, the Chiefs of Staff, and The director of the GRU. In front of them was a 3D map of Marxikhan. Rovanovic boke the silence.

"What are our options." he said in a monotone voice.

The Joint Chiefs looked at each other, then Admiral Degtaryev stepped up.

"We are sending a squadron of our Pacific fleet over towards the West Coast of Marxikhan. This is going to be big, sir. We have the Admiral Ushakov flagshipping the group as well as numerous Slava-Class GMC's with them. Naval Infantry are also on board should the need arise to make an assault." He let them let it sink in. "They are near Hawaii at the moment. The group is expected to move into their waters in about a week."

Rovanovic nodded and turned to the Director of the GRU, Colonel Romanov. "What is the GRU doing at this time?"

Romanov cleared his throat and began. "We have a few contacts in the nation, mostly sabotuers. They could start doing small stuff, if need be. Maybe a few hits on Post Offices or airports, just to rough them up a little bit. If more agents are authorized, a higher class hit can be organized."

Rovanovic smiled. "Good. I trust the rest of you can get your respective jobs done?" The Joint Chiefs nodded. "Good. Let's give 'em hell."

Task Force Blue, South Pacific

The task force of ships sialing towards Marxikhani waters was menacing indeed. It was made up of three Udaloy I-Class destroyers, three Sovremenny-Class destroyers, two Slava-Class GMC's, One Gepard-Class frigate and the Flagship, the Admiral Ushakov Kirov-Class Battlecruiser. Admiral Vladimir Talinavosk stood on deck aboard the Admiral Ushakov staring out over the open sea. He had specific intructions to observe the situation and not fire until he had the order. He agreed to this, but little did command know, he was going to harass some of the enemy maritime shipping while he was there. He had his Naval Infantry, why not use them?

Prime Minister Feidel Chavez could not sleep that night. He waited for any kind of military intel. that would help him. At last he got a call.

"Hello, what do you have?" he asked sharply


The Russain Navy of a large size is heading to us. There by Hawaii now. It will be a day or too before they hit us


"What are we doing about it?"

Most of our navy is in the Galapagos, they are on alert and ready to fight. We will keep you updated.

"Thank you" the Prime Minister said before hanging up.

"So Russia is going to attack us before the he or the NAR has declaired war", he chuckeld to himself "Yeah this is framed at all"

The Prime Minister went to sleep

We neither condemn nor currently support any actions of the NAR, Marxikhan, or the Central American Empire. We officially send our condolences to the victims of the attacks.

However, the events have unsettled the Empire. Therefore, nations receiving reports of increased military activity within the Empire should not be alarmed, as we are simply increasing the alert status of our forces. The bombings of Havana could very well start a chain of such attacks followed by heavy repurcussions, and the EF does not want to be caught off guard. The mobilization effort is in no way participating or showing a willingness to participate in any conflict as a direct result of this.

The Empire of Futuris

Prime Minister Jackson looked out of his window, beyond the National Parliament buildings, he saw the Palace rising across the distance, the city slowly being engulfed by the coming darkness. The stillness had settled across the building was as deep as the blackness that was beginning to swallow up the city. No one was supposed to be here tonight, Parliament was supposed to be closed for upcoming holidays. The Prime Minister slowly swung his head opening the doors of the Brown Hall and walked in, his eyes full of fustration.

"Lewis, want to tell me why you thought it would be funny to call up an Emergency Council at this time?"

"Sir, we have a situation".

Before the Prime Minister could answer, he motioned himself towards the television. He saw the headlines "Havana Bombing Rocks North American Republic".

"Currently, Parliament has given no official response concerning the bombing. If you are just joining us now, the smoke you see behind me is what was the Caribbean Financial Centre in Havana. So far little is known about the events surrounding the bombings however, according to releases by the North American Republic, casualty figures are at 4000 and climbing. Accusations are placed upon terrorist cells in our very nation, and the nation of Marxikhan. Currently the Marxikhan government is denying any involvement relating to the bombing. No official responce from Parli-"

"Turn that shit off" barked Ryan Dryden, Chief of the Defence Staff.

"Dryden, could you tell me what the hell was that?"

"Apparently evidence of the bombing leads up to us and Marxikhan".

"Well do they have any suffiicient evidence Lewis?"

"None that has been released sir. Although I doubt any citizen of this country has anything to do with it".

"Exactly, why would we even give a rats ass about Cuba. Seems like those Mar-"

"Dryden! Now is not the time, what about Marxikhan, do we think their involved?"

"Highly unlikely. At the moment sir the situation doesn't look good. The Marxikhan have already issued their statement. Quite the aggressive message sir, but ours should be similar, sir, we need your permission to mobilize".

"Mobilize! You expect to go to war with the Americans!"

"Sir this is no longer a question of who did it, this is a question of how prepared we are. It seems quite clear to me that the American's have the minds made up, despite what evidence we can present".

"You expect to fight the Americans, do you think we are ready for such an onslaught? What of the rest of the cabinet!"

"Well hopefully no, but we need to show that won't be pushed around that easily, the cabinet has already been informed and agree with mobilization. It never hurts to prepare for the worst sir".

"You understand the Americans may take this the wrong way, but I understand. You have my authorization to mobilize our forces for near maximum defensive capability, but nothing more, now lets get a press conference arranged".

We bring you live to the National Parliament, where Prime Minister Jackson delivers his responce to the bombing in Havana yesterday

"The Central American Empire would like to send their condolences to those who has been effected and those who has been lost due to the bombing in Havana".

He paused for a moment before continuing

"However, these accusations of our citizens being responsible for those bombings is just ludicris. Our nation would benifit absolutely nothing from a Cuban bombing. We ask your people to check their evidence, if any is actually present, properly and you will find no CAE involvement. Again we express our condolences towards the North American Republic, however we will not stand as our nation becomes a scapegoat to some bombing we have not taken apart of. I for one and this nation will stand together againts any who try to oppress us!"

Philip promptly left the podium, amongst the cheering crowd. There was no turing back. He had sent his message into the lions den.

The Octagon
General Smith sipped her coffee as an aid walked in carrying an ominous red folder and she looked it over; it was going to be another one of those days; no sooner had the strike force returned to base but another crisis loomed; one that might engulf the entire Americas.

"Wake the Queen she is going to want to see this"

The Queen sat at the head of the round table; which held the council of 9; The General of the Airforce, The General of the army and the Admiral of the navy as well as the heads of various ministries.

"Your highness; approximately an hour ago there were two large explosions in Havana, Cuba. The Caribbean Financial Centre, and the Gulf Trade Conventional Centre were attacked by large explosions the result was one crashing on top of the other. The current death toll is rated at 5000 and climbing"

"Do they know who is responsible"

"The Americans are saying all evidence currently leads to the USSM and the CAE; they have no reason to lie; until now they've had good relations with both of those"

"Options?"

"Well we can't really declare war ma'am there too far away from us; though we could send the new carrier battle groups if it came to all out war. The new Kitty hawks and Admiral Gorshkov carriers are now in service they don't have much in the way of fleet support yet though. As long as we don't send the entire fleet out so we can send one carrier group and an LPD if we need to."

"Ok Raise the alert status on our armed forces to defence condition 3; I don't want to go to war just yet we will wait and see what the Americans do; I want to draw up a range of economic sanctions against the USSM"

"Yes Ma'am"

The Queen stood at the podium with the members of the press lining the room filling it to the brim from international and national news organisations.

"Today; the NAR suffered an unprecedented attack in Havana and 5000 American lives were lost so far and climbing. Animarnia Stands firmly with the NAR and offers all the resources at its disposal. America does not stand alone"

The universe speaks in many languages, but only one voice. The language is not Animarnia or American or Russian or Japanese or English. It speaks in the language of hope. It speaks in the language of trust. It speaks in the language of strength and the language of compassion. It is the language of the heart and the language of the soul. But always it is the same voice. It is the voice of our ancestors speaking through us. And the voice of our inheritors waiting to be born.

She sat back down, and almost immediately began with another one of her annoying habits; playing with the PT 145 pistol she kept in her desk. It was unloaded, of course, but it still tended to scare people.
"Can't say right now. But some idiots would deduce that because we are socialists like the USSM, that we are somehow involved," Ferreira replied.
"Do we even believe that either they or the CAE had anything to do with this?" Song asked, briefly putting down the gun to chug down some coffee.

The Chinese/Afro-Brasilian woman came out, dressed in a black tank top that read "URS" in red letters, along with a pair of black jeans sporting a Chinese character on one of the back pockets. Her long hair, as always, was in braids, and these braids were all pulled back into one ponytail. That was how she had looked when she fought for the URS during the Civil War, and she would probably continue to wear that until she got old as most other politicians and it started to look nasty. Behind her were two Presidential Guard, carrying scoped CZ-2000 rifles.
"People of Brasil, and people of the world," she said, stepping up to the podium, "Today, there was a terrible attack on our brothers and sisters living in Havana, Cuba. I would like to begin by sharing my sympathies for them and for their families. The people of Brasil mourn with you, and we look down on these cowards who have stripped many of their lives."

Mrs. Laura Harding was one of the last major World leaders to express her stance on the situation, and she was still hesitating and was unsure on the whole terrorism issue. Whilst she trusted the Americans, she also worried that this could be like many other wars, a war influenced by an attack or murder but disguising another motive. The WEF had growing relations with both the Central America’s and there Northern Neighbours, and whilst fearing an economic backlash if she did not fully support the Americans, she also did not want to halt relations with the CA.

The WEF did have one great advantage in this war – they were still in procession of the small islands of Trinidad and Tobago, which provided easy access to Marx. Whatever side could use this islands greatly to their use if the WEF permitted, for naval drop offs or placing soldiers for an easy attack or defence. Currently the WEF did not have enough troops there to launch an attack themselves, though this could be changed. Any attack on WEF troops on T&T would be taken by Mrs. Harding as a declaration of war.

The URN Task Force finally layed anchor at its destination in a fishing and transport region of the Marxikhani Waters. Two Akula-Class Attack Subs had secretly moved into the area and began wide patrols around the surface fleet. The local fishermen and merchant shippers had been eyeing the ships with curiosity lately, some straying close for a better look. The Admiral in charge ordered the ships to ready to sink or board these ships in order to maintain secrecy, but none of the Marxi Vessels had moved too close. Yet. An airdrop to the fleet was due to arrive in the next day containing numerous experimental warheads for the Slava-Class GMC's. The warheads contained the new mass incapacitation Agent 15 and dispersal system which was to be used when the time came to view its affects on its targets.

Official Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere Response to the Terror Attack on Havana

I speak for all the citizens of the GEACPS when I announce my most sincere condolences for the victims of the attack. However, I go further than that, I extend my hand to victims' family and friends. I encourage them to stay strong, and persevere through such uncompromising times.

However, I would also like to advise President Frist to not jump to such hasty conclusions about the perpetrators of this most horrifying and appalling disaster. If it had been government-sponsored, or even terrorist activity from the Central American Empire or the United Socialist States of Marxikhan, I fear that they would not be so unintelligent as to leave any such incriminating evidence. I would advise looking elsewhere for the dastardly criminal, either in another sovereign nation, or within your own.

A lone Tu-95 Bear flew over the desolate South Pacific. Finally, after close to 8 hours of flight, land was in sight over the horizon. A ways off the land sat ten ships.

"Delivery crew, open bomb bay doors." spoke the pilot over the intercom.

The Admiral picked up his radio transmitter. "Aye aye, Black Bear. Retrieval service online." he motioned to his XO to contact the Moskva and ready her for retrieval.

A few minutes later, the Bear was over the DZ. "Prepare for drop on my mark." said the pilot. "ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, and Mark." The engineers began pushing the floats and boxes out of the doors, watching them deploy their chutes.

"All cargo away." said the lead engineer.

"Roger, Black Bear out." replied the pilot as he swung the Bear in a 180 degree turn and headed back to base.

The Moskva began to sail over to the DZ and began to hoist the boxes aboard. The Smog Rockets, as they had begun to be called, were loaded in six of the launch tubes and put on alert. Command was interested in the results of the Smog Rockets and waited for an oppurtune moment to fire.

It was another long trip to Trinidad for many Italian and Spanish troops, the two nations who had been nominated to take part in the defence of the small islands, as an unconfirmed amount, believed to be up to and more maybe than 40,000, made their way across the sea again. The number was undisclosed and many thought the high level of troops could just be rumours made to scare any threatening governments. Naval ships and observation teams were sent also to guard the waters around T&T - a war was going to break out and the WEF would do anything to protect this small island, their advantage.

The URN URSS K-8 was a few minutes overdue to surface. The delay was due to a false fire alarm and surfacing began to commence.

"Move 40 degrees." said the Captain.

"Aye, sir. Forty degrees, up." replied the navigator. The K-8 began its rapid ascent to the surface. Unfortunately for them and a fishing boat above them, a collision was inevitable. The sub broke through the water on the aft of the vessel.

"Captain! We have a collision!" he screamed as the klaxons blared. The jolt rocked the sub, knowcking pots off their shelves in the mess hall. The fishing boat fared less well. As the sub finished its climb out of the water, its bow came crashing down on more of the vessel, crushing it under its massive wieght. The fishing boatpopped out from under the sub and began to sink beneath the waves.

Admiral Talinovsk stood and stared out at the massive Akula-II crashing down on the fishing boat. "This can't be good." he mumbled as he retrieved his transmitter. He pressed a button and the stern voice of Admiral Degtaryev came on the other line.

Frist was reviewing the past announcements from world powers...and it was pretty much as he expected. Nations that had little ties or ties with no backing to the NAR had voiced concern and almost condemnation to the abilities of OMI-the world's premier intel organizatin. It was baffling to Frist about how these nations thought. However, the responses of nations he felt the Republic was friendly with had provided positive responses. They spelled good fortune for the Republic, but Frist wanted to first generate some positive PR before going in an economic battle with Marxikhan or the CAE.

The latest Marxikhan response, however, dropped Frist back on his haunches. It was almost purposefully provoking-as if they wanted to draw in the Republic to wipe the sniveling traces of Marxikhan into explosive ash. Word had come in from the Russian incident with a fishing boat-but so far, besides the Socialist spin from the lower half of the globe, it seemed to be an accident. However, Frist felt committed to defend the honor of his Russian allies.

At 1330 the next day, Frist held another press conference-this time to confront Marxikhan over its bold and brash statements.

Yes, a third alliance of "armed neutrals" in this bizarre World War brewing of late is just the solution to preserve some sanity among what little is left on this Earth. Although ideologically I empathize with Marxikhan and Brazil, and shall permit all belligerents' ambassadors in my country to remain provided they do not jeopardize its neutrality or carry their fight onto our territory, I agree that Wagdog must stand apart from them in this matter. Marxikhan's actions have simply been too reckless of late for Wagdog to support them militarily, especially in Trinidad and Tobago, and now it seems they must negotiate the price for those actions on their own merits in battle.
Militarily speaking, my country already has naval forces positioned near Marxikhani territory and the Straits of Magellan, and at the WEF's request the latter can move into the Atlantic for the desired consultations near Trinidad and Tobago. Give the word, and what we desire moved can do so immediately after.
We thank Europe for its restraint, and pledge to do what we can to prevent this war from becoming an uncontrollable cataclysm, for which sake we shall defend ours and European interests with whatever means become necessary. Your troops and naval forces are welcome to enter the land and sea in and surrounding Trinidad and Tobago to protect it from the group of untrustworthy nations that are involved in this conflict. We also look forward to the possibility of a United Alliance between European Nations and you, which as you said will be the last hope of sanity in this world and we feel it will make us less venerable in the possible World War that could erupt from various sprouting conflicts.

We also share some concerns about the nation of Russia. Whilst many of our European Allies, the GGA for one, trust them more than America, we feel the other way round - they are too militaristic for our liking and their presence in this war has made it near one sided, unless Japan and China support the USSM. Secretly, we wish for the NAR and UR, two boasting world powers to struggle in early attacks they do, to show them that they can not simply declare war and win easily.

OOC: I hear Dirk wants to start a war in Europe, which would be interesting, as not only would it see forces back home fighting, but also when all the groups unite in Trinidad and Tobago - if Europe is divided in the war, there could be a interesting little squabble there too. :p

South Pacific, 30nm off Marxikhan coast

The Admiral Keznetsov, along with its two Kara-Class cruisers and three Udaloy I-Class destroyers, had arrived at the site of the Task Force. The ruckus caused by the fisherman had angered command, and all ships were to procede with caution. There had been talk in the GRU of possibly using the Smog against the Marxikhani ships in case of a threat, but for the most part, scenarios came up with low effectiveness. Man of the military commanders were happy that the Marxikhani hadn't done anything yet, but there was a group of commanders who yearned for conflict to boast the UR's power. Fortunately for everyone, this group was small, so at the moment, no first strikes were to be made.

The orders had been given; 3 separate agents each with no knowledge of each other were activated and given their orders. Each working there own plots independently but unknowingly together for maximum calamity. The first agent was a Latin American woman; she had been living in Carbula all her life the perfect model citizen; quiet and kept her head down out of trouble. On this Sunday morning she got into a truck that she had packed the night before with Russian made explosives and an AK-47 and headed for the main Carcus Dam. The rifle and the explosives were well hidden even if she was searched they would find nothing but she would take the back roads anyway dispute the fact it was the dead of night.

Elsewhere in Bogota; another agent was activated; the pipe bombs he had been stashing with Destox and ballbarings would now come in handy as he got in his truck and started to drive all over the city in the dead of night. Planting pipe bombs in trash cans; the death toll would be huge though this secondary plot was simply a distraction for the primary plot but he didn't know that and would of course carry out his mission.

The Third plot involved a direct assassination attempt against the Defence minister of the USSM; using Russian rifles and rounds so any Muppet would make the obvious connection the plan was to have the three hit at the same time for maximum effect.

This escalation in Trinidad and Tobago is proving one thing: a potential military buildup leading to aggression by powers denying any involvement. Such a situation has long been despised by America, but we will do what we must. For that reason, military patrols will be stepped up in the Carribbean to combat the potential threats that this "third alliance" that the WEF has promoted try to attack allied stations.

Hitherto, the island of Cuba is completely shut off from alll outside forces except the allied nations of the Union of the Russias and the Kingdom of Animarnia. With such inclusion of Wagdog into this alliance of unknown motivations, the island of Hawaii also will be shut off to all but the formerly said nations-meaning the complete shut off of the Oceana Region to all but Russia and Animarnia. The Republic has recieved negative feedback from all but friendly nations, and it seems that nations of this world have instead began to flock around an aggressive, offensive dictator clamboring to launch viscious backlash to Republic offers of diplomatic solutions. All military bases are now being stepped up to Condition 3. With th escalation of military power, it seems now that the allied powers may be on their own should the unstable nations in question try to launch questionable moves.

The Republic will be watching Trinidad and Tobago. If any aid is being sent to support such regimes in their unwarranted hostility against America, reprocussions will be severe. With no intent of offence to the North American Republic, what happens in Trinidad and Tobago is merely mine and our allies located there's business - even if you feel threatened. If you had helped the poor country perhaps I would pay more attention to your threats. At no stage have we disclosed numbers of troops present on the islands, so for all you know they could have been increased by a mere few thousand.

This is for the protection against the USSM - we do not trust them. It appears, you do not trust us though, which is a shame. Once international forces entered the area-whether from Russia, the WEF, or Wagdog-it became the business of the entire Western Hemisphere. The mobilization around Tunisia is almost complete. Currently, there are 4,000 infantry troops waiting on the border, accompanied by 200 armor and 100 artillery pieces. If the unification turned bloody in that region, more would come in from railroad routes, but for now this was all that was needed.

Destox was an explosive used in Russian Missile and left a very unique signature it wouldn't be hard to trace if there was anything left of course. The shaped charge ripped through the dam blowing part of it out and causing a mini tidal wave of death to head down towards the nearby city….

In some ways, I understand your concerns about joining the alliance, as for you it has it's up's and down - as it has for all of us who joined. America and Russia do not like to see a United Europe and Others, whether they feel threatened or just annoyed I do not know, but they seem to see something more menacing behind our protection of Trinidad and Tobago. It seems to us sadly they'd rather let it sit in disarray than be protected, though we hope to recover relations with both nations once the South American conflict is over.

So therefore your joining of the alliance could damage relations with Russia and trigger uneasiness of your borders - though joining the alliance will also protect you. You are situated near Russia, China and GEACPS - to me that spells out 'imminent' invasion if this becomes a World War and spills out into other continents but the one in South America and a developing one in Africa. Russia is militaristic and China will probably see no harm in invading you and causing Mongolia to become a battleground if it helps defend itself.

Though, this is all speculation – and we trust these governments I said in this message currently, and I accept your decision to currently not join. We hope that you do improve your weapons; military etc. as we fear war could be fought in every continent. But, if you are in need in the future and request to join for our help mid-conflict, the WEF will sadly be hesitant about putting itself into a situation to defend you as you must realise unless you are a member, because we do not wish to further damage Asian relations.

Patrols are being set up on the Tunisian border. Tanks have stationen themselves, and artillery has been covered under heavy camoflauge. Camps on the border have been set up, and all travel into or out of Tunisia is detained and sent back.

In Lagos, troops, tanks, and other pieces of military equipment arrive every day. The F 89 NNS Aradu Meko 360 Class Destroyer has set out into the Atlantic Ocean directly West from Lagos. It is expected to reach the shores of Tunisia in a few days. Also, several hundred landing craft have been brought to Lagos, where they await to be boarded. The city is officially fortified, and travel in and out of the city is limited at best for civilians. The crowded situation is expected to be partially relieved when the first set of landing craft sets sail.

The two GRU operatives climbed up to the roof and removed a ventilation lid from the shaft.

"Ladies first." said one of the operatives.

"Very funny." replied the other one as he dropped his equipment in the shaft and hopped in after it. They moved through the ducts until they came to what they found to be the auditorium. After removing some screws and the hatch, they jumped down and got to work. While the first operative began to place anti-personell mines in strategic locations around the auditorium, the second operative placed five Semtex charges on weak points on the cieling. After an hour, they were done. They went out the way they came in and started off to get to thier car.

"Wait," said one of the agents. He ran back to the front door and sprayed 'FARC' in big red letters across the wall.

The other agent chuckled and started the car. "Let's go." he said as he drove out of the lot and headed North towards the coast.

Later that day...

It seemed like a normal day at the school; students gossiping, teachers preparing lesson plans, janitors cleaning messes. The first bell rang at 0735 and the students began their commute to the assembly hall. A call had been made to 911 about the FARC vandalism, and a janitor was at work cleaning it off with some paint thinner.

0800 hours, time's up.

There was a series of massive booms as the Anti-personell mines went off, spraying their lethal frag all over the crowded auditorium. A few seconds later, the Semtex charges went off, caving in the roof. The high school became a scene of chaos with a fire spreading and wave of students rushing as far away from the incedent as they could.

The first point about the truce may be considered, as I for one see no real reason to launch a massive assault. But to form an alliance - which by the way I see helping you to try and defeat the NAR and UR as support - would be stupid at this current unstable time in our relations with these two countries and, if I am honest, we do not trust you/agree with your views enough to do so - and we do not want to be dragged into a war against two powerful nations. Unless the other communist countries come to your aid, it seems you will be either rightly invaded for harbouring terrorists and refusing to help, or wrongly for being accused of being involved with terrorist operations. I can not tell who is right in this war.

Though it seems while your willingness not to let countries oppress you, should sort of be admired, whoever side your on. But it also has brought on you horrific attacks like the two we have witness recently, and we hope you eradicate terrorism from your country, no matter where it's from.

A quick meeting had been called by the Prime Minister; the heads of the War and Foreign Affairs ministries, as well as the President, had been called to attend. The President flicked at his pencil glumly and glanced about the room; both ministers had arrived, but Prime Minister Borjigin himself was late. The President idly wondered if Borjigin was actually held up, or if he was just trying to show his power over the men assembled. He was about to decide upon the latter when the doorman stepped into the room and announced the entry of Nergui Borjigin, honorable Prime Minister of the Republic.

Borjigin entered and, without bothering to take a seat, placed his hands on the table and spoke. "Gentlemen, I'll keep this short. The State Khural has decided to pursue an alliance with the WEF, GGA, and all other related nations."

There was a gleam of triumph in the Foreign Affairs Minister's eyes, while the President only nodded glumly. The Defense Minister, however, was clearly angered. "But the arms deal! Animarnia may cancel the sale if we - "

"We need allies and protection," Borjigin said, as though he was speaking to a child. "Have you forgotten the struggles of our ancestors to keep this nation free? It is the position of the Khural that we cannot turn our close neighbors for assistance, given our historical relations; thus we must turn to others. Besides, nobody is at war with anybody else. If Animarnia, for some reason, feels uneasy about supplying us after this pact is concluded, then they can cancel the deal themselves. The arms deal will still be approved from our side, but the Khural has voted, Minister. We are to request entry in to the 'third alliance', and that is final. The Foreign Affairs Ministry will handle our official request. You are all dismissed."

The President and two ministers stood, bowed, and departed. As he re-entered his own office, the President couldn't help but feel at least a little envious. He hated being reminded who really ran the Republic.

Marxikhan Northern Coast, Caribbean Sea

The two GRU agents had ditched the car in the rainforest about twelve miles back and started their treck through the woods. As soon as they emerged from the forest onto the beach, one of the agents removed a device from his satchel while the other one dialed up a number on his sattelite phone.

"We need pickup at..." said the agent on the phone.

"68*W, 11*N." said the other one.

"At 68*W, 11*N. Hurry up."

"Roger that, we have a Helix on its way." replied the ship commander of the URN Frigate sailing eighty miles out.

One hour later...

The agents sat underneath a tree, going over their work and making sure their equipment was all there. One of them looked up and saw a blue and black object flying low to the sea.

"Pack, up. Here comes our ride." said one of the agents.

The Helix swooped overhead and pulled a 180, coming to a halt and landing on the beach in front of the GRU operatives. Naval Infantry piled out and set up a perimeter while the agents began running out onto the beach towards the Helix. After they boarded, the Naval Infantry got back on and the HELO flew out back into the open seas towards the frigate.

"Another attack! I told ya' so, Sam...Jeez, I gotta call my motha, my housekeepah..."

Sam Brownback's secretary mused around the office about "impending war" and "tactical strike", but the Vice Chancellor was a bit more quiet. He was busy sorting through latest news-particularly, he was dealing with domestic issues now that Frist was almost solely preoccupied with international affairs-and was in particular reviewing damage control in Havana. It was progressing well, and body count number had been stabilized at 5,623. Staggering numbers-the greatest loss of American life on American soil in one incident since the Civil War, outstripping Pearl Harbor. A tragedy-but America could rise out of it and grow stronger.

However, news had been circulating through the Capital Mansion-less of a "mansion" than a "headquarters", despite the fact that it housed the Chancellor-that a second terror strike had struck a Marxikhani school. It figured-they still couldn't understand their own problems. Really sad, especially for the students killed in the attack-count numbers were unknown at the time. Yet the government still couldn't see terrorism that clearly was in their nation.

Chancellor Frist walked into the expansive room, dumping some files on another desk as Brownback reviewed more files.

"I'm activating Strategic Defense," Frist said abruptly, without even looking up.

Brownback turned. "Why? Not like they've gone and declared on anyone. At this rate, their own terrorists will kill them."

"They won't last too much longer like this, I think," Frist replied. "They're going to snap-and when they do, I want to be able to tactically move fast through Central America. Atlantic Command has activated ballistic missile subs for the Carribbean and shores."

Richtoff: "Great work. Pfern, i want double security on our borders, excluding the WEF. I want our defenses to be impenatrable. Find a way. I know they are still in testing, but there is no better test than war. Plus, the idea and tests thus far have been very promising. Thats all. Meeting adjourned."

South Pacific, Off of Marxikhani Waters

The fleet stood still in the slight breeze over the calm waters. The fleet admiral stood on the deck observing the view when an officer ran up to him and handed him a slip of paper. After looking at it for a few seconds he sighed and walked onto the deck. He hit the all call button and announced the situation to the fleet.

"Today, Marxikhan has declared war on the UR. We don't know why, but I can assure you, this is the dumbest mistake they have made to date. Command has given us permission to unleash all hell on these bastards, so what do you say. Let's give it to 'em. Battlestations men. Today we go to war."

The Slava-Class GMC's were given permission to select targets and fire away. Two were chosen. Lima, since it was the closest major city, and Bogota, the capital. Bogota got to recieve the biggest surprise of them all. The Smog had been authorized, and six Kh-55 cruise missiles were prepared to fire. The fleet and the aircraft were put on high alert the very second the Slava's fired their deadly salvos at thier targets.

OOC: The Smog I was referring to is a new UR weapon utilizing Agent 15 (BZ), an incapacitating agent to be aerosoled over an urban center, releasing its many effects upon the population (wiki Agent 15). Make your move.

The head of Marxikhani Navy watched as mortars on the ships unleashed led on the nearby Russian Ships. He sighed knowing that this was probley the last nite of his life. But he knew he would die a hero of his country, even if Marxikhan didnt kill a single man.

The aircraft aboard the Admiral Kuznetsov began to ready to take off and attack. AShM's were loaded onto their hardpoints and they moved to the flight deck for take off. The first planes off were a flight of Yak-141 VTOL fighters. The started their flight low towards the water to try to avoid Triple-A while they moved into missile range. Meanwhile, The Kirov-Class Battlecruiser began to fire off its massive loads of guns at the ragtag enemy fleet, dropping shells all around. The Gepard-Class frigate was caught at the front of the MArxikhani attack and had sustained heavy damage. Meanwhile, the Akula-class subs moved underneath the Marxi fleet and loaded the 533mm torpedo tubes for an attack. Meanwhile, the first cruise missiles were near Lima. The conventionally armed ones began their descent towards the city streets. Two missiles differed, though. They flew further up in the air and then jetissoned their delivery systems and dropped over the city. The dispersion devices began to release the Agent 15 which sailed down in a cloud of smog over Lima.

Atleast 3 Marxikhani ships were sinking at this point and many more were on the way. The Marxikhan navy continued to unload upon the incoming Russian Naval force, and the head of the navy began to wonder...were is Geacaps?

Unfortunatly at the time this is all we can do to help you as much of our own vessels are currently patroling and protecting our own coastlines from a possible North American assault. Please be aware that the Central American Empire has closed it's borders to all civilians of every country, including allies due to security reasons. Because of this, no civilian vessel will be allowed to access the Panama Canal.

It is within our best intrest that you do not engage the Russians while in our water. Please also be aware that if you are engaged in our waters our naval forces cannot help you. Again, we are sorry that we could not help you more. We wish you good luck in your battle.

Richtoff stopped Pfern on his way out the door. "A few more things... Equip all our strike fighters with EMP bombs. If we are attacked, all the major cities are going dark."
Pfern smiled to himself. He had seen this one coming, and could not wait to use the new bombs. While they might not knock out military grade equipment, they would shut off streetlights and cause mass chaos among any cities residents.
Richtoff continued "Also, equip all the stormtroopers with XM29 OICW's."
"Weren't those canceled a few years back?"
Richtoff smiled. "Not for the best, they weren't. But those MW-pansies will be our best suprise." He winked, and then walked off.

The two Akula's went into a 30 degree ascent and launched their torpedos at the Marxikhani fleet. More aircraft were in the air now, plus, with the Yak-141's blowing off their AShM's, it was only a matter of time before the enemy fleet fell. The Gepard was ordered to abandon ship due to a direct hit on its magazine and all crew were heading into rafts to escape the wreck. The other cruise missiles should have been by Bogota now, along with their deadly cargo.

The Pacific Fleet Shock Troop Corps had been put on alert and began to prepare to depart to the American Theater. Basically a group of take no prisoners special paramilitary units, the Shock Troops knew no boundires. They were to board some An-25's and begin their trip to the theater from there.

We must request that some of our An-25's are allowed to stop to refuel in Alaska and then California. They are carrying troops vital to ending the war with the Marxikhani's. We will pay whatever amount the fuel and services cost.

The WEF troops smelled war in the air, and reports of the first real action, a small naval and air fight between Russian and USSM forces had meant that Trinidad and Tobago had upped it's DEFCON to DEFCON 3 - they were in fear of the attacks.

The troops, believed to be in there tens of thousands although no official number had been given, were fed up of this war. They were merely there as part of some big government plan they thought - T&T did not need that much defending in there book. They would rather see more action in a possible war in the plains of Africa or the Middle East than sit in a hot Caribbean country only to hear of rumours of Russia finally sending in the troops. Once they did, this war would be over, the USSM would put up a good fight, one that could last years and see many more Russians die than them if they played it well - but the outcome seemed certain. Some of the WEF troops admired the fact there government had not sided with the NAR and Russia, some viewed it as stupid - and others thought the USSM and there close friends in Central America needed there help. In the end, it was up to the big bosses of the WEF to decide what to do next.

While the naval battle raged on, the torpedos from the Akulas sped at the Marxikhani ships. Aircraft took off from the Admiral Kuznetsov and took to the fight. twelve more planes, all Su-35's, flew at the Marxikhani ships and released their salvos of AShMs at the fleet. The other thirteen planes, made up of seven Su-35's and six MiG-29's flew towards Lima to deliver an airstrike on the main transportation and military stations there. They had been ordered to not spare any weaponry and cause as much destruction as possible to show the USSM how big of a mistake they had made.

The Marxikhani troops from all around the country began to mobilize. The Prime Minister was about t instatute a draft when he heard that there were more vol. then needed.

The Lima Military Defence Center had been hit and destroyed by Russian Missils. There was more that Marxikhan could do but wait. The navy was almost through the Panama Cannal, and was heading to the Russain Fleet. Marxikhan just had to wait until the fight steped on land. Then they could show the Russin Army there hospitality.

South Pacific

The task force continued its fight vigorously. More torpedos were being launched at the Marxikhani ships while the Kirov blasted off its main guns and fored away its anti shipping missiles at the enemy fleet. The Gepard was on its side now, crews spilling off the deck. The call had been made to try to board the flagship, so a contingent of Naval Infantry were loaded onto three Mil Mi-14 Haze assault transports and took off. Two Ka-52 B's flew cover for them and began raking the deck of the flagship with its 30mm cannon to suppress any enemy fire above.

Gulf of Mexico, 0200
50 nautical miles off the coast of Veracruz

The moon hung as a glassy orb as the waves of the Gulf of Mexico lapped gently through the constant blue plane. Waves shouldn't have been much of a factor this night-tidal motion was almost nil-but the moon and the stars weren't the only thing out this night. LCS-2 Independence cut through the waves of the Gulf, the first ship in the CVBG of the CVN-65 USS Enterprise. The formation slit through the calm seas, throwing up wake as it divided the black water below that went on for fathoms.

Reaching a predetermined location, the Enterprise battle group stopped. It would wait for the time...something was coming that they needed.

The capital of the Republic was quiet this early in the morning, but one message went out on the international dispatch. It would be sent to all countries-and it was authorized by the top, even as most slept the night away. It was simple and to the point:

THE REPUBLIC HEREBY DECLARES WAR ON THE CENTRAL AMERICAN EMPIRE AND THE NATION OF MARXIKHAN FOR THE DECLERATION AGAINST THE UNION OF THE RUSSIAS. RETALIATORY STRIKES WILL BE IMMINENT.

The dispatch went quiet again, and the city slept.

The Enterprise, by contrast, was not at all a tired ship this time in the early morning hours, especially as the recievin dispatch messenger came up with another message...this time it really was from the top. It detailed the following:

It was go time, apparently-time to wake the Central Americans out of their sleep in Veracruz and Tampico.

CG 55 USS Leyte Gulf opened up first, ripping off 3 Tomahawk SLCMs from its VLS launcher system. The other cruisers of the CVBG- CG 72 USS Vela Gulf and CG 67 USS Shiloh repeated likewise-9 cruise missiles streaked off from the formation as the fleet went active. It wasn't the only in the area-the CVBGs of both the USS George H.W. Bush and USS Carl Vinson were also in the Gulf-but these were the first to open up.

On the Enterprise, activity began to mount. S-3 Vikings began to mount to Alert 15, as did a squadron of F/A-18E Super Hornets.


San Diego/Tijuana Border, 0248

The night was peaceful at the beginning of the cycle, but it would not stay that way. San Diego was one of the border base towns gearing up for invasion-and now command from the Pentagon in D.C. had cleared word-it was go time. The border fence that was up had already been knocked down by tanks earlier in the day-and now, a line was clear for the group to make a run into Tijuana, the Central American town immediately opposite San Diego.

At 0248, the word was "go", and troops, armor, and artillery began streaming across the border...

At sea outside San Diego, two CVBGs sat prepared-those of the Kitty Hawk and of the Ronald Reagan. They were quiet for the moment, but they were ready to supplement.


Across the Continental Region

All across the Republic's Southern border, penetration began unloading into Central American territory. Penetrations had gone through the Southwest District into the northern-most CAE territory, the first moves heading quick for Tijuana, Mexicali, Nogales, Ciudad Juarez, and Nuevo Laredo.

The rest of the Marxikhani navy cought up with the ongoing naval battle just as war had been declaired against the NAR.

More than half of the original naval force had been decimated since the original attack but now that a huge number of the navy had just joined them, it looked like Russia might half to take a loss on this fight.

The Naval Infantry landed aboard the flagship riding down the ropes of the Haze. An RPG-22 was shot into the bridge, blowing through the window and exploding. The fleet went full aggressive with a massive forward push being made towads the rest of the Marxikhani Fleet. one of the Neustranyy destroyers had been hit with an enemy shell and ssuffered a fire, but it was cuttently being controlled by the crew.Three Tu-160 Blackjacks had flown in from Kamchatka began to commence Anti-Shipping duties.

admist all the choas and old ex-Russain sub stood in the mittle of it all. It was beging to fire, when it was hit. The captin looked around starteld that it was the end of his life. He refused to go down alone. He saw a flagship of the armada and went charging to it. He lundged the sinking body of the sub into the hull of the Russain ship.


Marxikhani aircraft sailed the sky's doing everything they could to take down thr Russain Armada.


Anti-Air mobilized all along the coast of Marxikhan. They were ready for a fight

"Admiral! The Kuznetsov has taken a hit! Were listing Starboard!" shouted the ensign.

"We have to keep a level platform, discharge ballast as necessary." replied the Admiral. Engineers began to rush to the massive hole and tried to close the blast doors to prevent the flooding of the rest of the ship. One of the doors was jammed though, and the decision was made to shut off the emergency door, trapping many engineers to their doom in the waters inside.

Meanwhile, with the site of enemy aircraft, Anti-Air opened up. The Kirov's AK-630 CIWS systems came to life, spraying 30mm depleted uranium slugs at the incoming craft. The destroyers opened up with their own defenses consisting of AK-630's, AK-306's and SAM missiles. Three Su-37's took off from the listing Kuznetsov and began to engage the enemy planes with their Aphid and Adder AAMs.

The crude Marxikhani aircraft met with the Advanced UR air. The began to fire upon each other. Two Marxikhani craft went down as they were attacked from behind. THe whole armada began to volly at the larger Russain Ships. The fleet had decided that they were going to win this battle or die trying.

Two destroyers had already been nailed by the volleys and were taking some damage. The URAF still had air superiority at the moment and they planned to keep it that way. The two Slava-Class cruisers decided to pull a last ditch effort to demoralize the Marxikhani Fleet by launching five more missiles filled with Agent 15 aimed over the mass of the Marxikhani fleet. The missiles sailed overhead the ships at 2700 feet and blew up. The dark gas began to fall over the ships in a cloud of darkness. Meanwhile, the K-7 and K-8 took advantage of the confusion and began to launch more torpedos at the fleet.

We now bring you live to the National Parliament where the Prime Minister Jackson is going to address the public regarding the declaration of war from the North American Assault.

Prime Minister Jackson paused for a moment. He didn't pause to add on to the already darkening atmosphere. Never in his life had he thought that he would be addressing a declaration upon his magnitude to his country.

"In an obvious pre-planned assault bent on expanding the North American Republic. We are unfortunatly the victims of this modern Manifest Destiny. However, as a nation we shall not grovel over that fact, we shall fight! We are at war! Tell that to those soldiers, who today are hitting hard today againts the American invaders in the Northern forests of Mexico. Tell that to those boys flying high in the Su-30s. Tell that to those seamen who tirelessly fend off the Americans at the Gulf of Mexico. We are the David againts a Goliath. We face thousands of American soldiers, againts one of the greatest armies ever assembled. The world says what we are capable of only a pinprick to the leviation we call the North American Republic. Let it be known to those nations however that every prick we send to them, we'll be straight through the heart. Alone we are few, alone we are inexperienced. The Prime Minister promptly finished his speech. The crowd was roaring with pride. What a difference one speech could make. The chants amongts the crowd was deafening, Vive le Jackson! Vive le CAE!. Walking down the podium alone was challenge. He wished time could have stayed still, that way, he wouldn't have to face the weeks to come.

Two MiG's were shot down by the Marxikhani jets, one pilot bailed out, but the other, unable to bail, rammed his MiG-31 into one of the Marxikhani Frigates. The Tu-160 Blackjacks began to come back and release their second salvo of anti-shipping missiles, raining death down on the confused fleet.

The fight in the skys continued to go as planned. Dispite the lack of speed from the Marxikhani jets they manedged to run circles around the rest of the UR air.

Russia began to fire upon the immoblized part of the fleet ignoring the perfect part of the fleet behind itl. The vollys on larger ships continuied as confused ship after confused ship sunk to its watery grave.

"Yellow Squadron, pull up to 25,000 feet. Blue Squadron, Fly a loop three miles out and return." ordered the squadron commander.
The planes did as they were told, pulling up to a high enough altitude that the Marxikhani jets couldn't reach. Meanwhile, the Kirov opened up with the full power of its AK-630 CIWS systems and SAM missile batteries on the Marxikhani jets.

2, 3, 4 plains cam crashing down, back to the earth. 5, 6, 7, 8 another four were hit. The plains called in for more air support.


Meanwhile the endless volly fires of the Marxikhanio fleet was looking to be effective. Perhaps there was victory ahead....

Two more destroyers were hit, one was sinking. The jets that had flown up to escape the Marxikhabi planes now swooped down from above and released PGB's overhead the recently arrived USSM fleet. The two Akulas tilted up to a 20 degree angle and loaded four Anti-shipping cruise missiles each in their 630mm tubes. A few moments later, they missiles were away, bursting out of the water and flying at an altitude of ten feet towards the ships of the new fleet.

Across the American Border
1522, 4-23-08

Tempe's third flight of B-52H stratofortresses-10 in all-flew above the brown, dusty landscape of Southwestern District, a flight of 8 A-10 Warthogs, 6 F-15E Eagles, and 12 F-22 Raptors below them. Five further flights of bombers-all of B-52Hs-were proceeding across the border, many from Nellis AFB or San Antonio, preparing to tactically strike at the border cities of Mexico. They were accompanied by similar attachments of strike aircraft and fighters (Nuevo Laredo, Piedras Negras, and Tijuana attack groups had 16 F-16D Fighting Falcon fighters instead of one of F-22 Raptors escorting).

Third Flight was angling towards Nogales, "Surgical Point 3" dubbed by AirCom. Military forces punching across the border were also converging on all six major cross-border cities that could possibly be used against the Republic for a reverse attack. The plan would be to punch hard and fast through the northernmost parts of the CAE and drive towards Mexico DF. There, units could be focused for a massive assault on the capital, supplemented by landing marine forces at Veracruz.

However, softening up these cities would prove task number one-and the B-52Hs of First Flight had the answer. They were loaded each internally with 14 2000-lb JDAM bombs each, as well as each holding eight AGM-86C air-to-surface cruise missiles-directed for use against the cities in a "shock" style of attacking. The hope was to pave the cities down low and force the militaries out of the urban environments and back into the northern parts of Mexico-where the tanks and rocket systems of the Republic armor could truly take effect.

Here over Nogales, the B-52Hs went in first. From fifty miles away-still in Republic territory-the Stratofortresses released their cruise missiles, the powerful and heavy weapons jetting off of bomber racks and down in an approach vector to the cities. They were flying in at subsonic speeds, but at 8 per bomber, 80 cruise missiles at the city-all targeting different points to maximize potential damage-was a daunting challenge. Across the border, flights 1-6 of the aerial attack force repeated similar launchings-cruise missiles flew across the border in a heavy rate towards the nothern cities, as army forces punched across.

The bombers moved on, staying high to avoid SAM detection and vulnerability. The Stratofortresses were not without defenses-equipped with a powerful ECM suite-but their true escorts were their defenses.

"This is Titan 1, approaching drop sites. Pick your targets, crews," the lead bomber of Third Flight radioed over to the bombers.

The B-52Hs spread out now, to both acquire targets for the JDAM bombs as well as to lay off potential SAM trackers. Far below the stratofortresses, artillery, armor, and infantry blazed at Nogales to attack any defensive forces. The bombers, however, quickly moved into position.

"Third Flight, deploy," the lead bomber came in with orders.

Across the skies, 14 JDAM bombs poured out of internal racks from each stratofortresses as they moved over targets in Nogales. The bombs were moving fast enough and deployed over a great enough area to spread out and cause collateral damage as well-the city would be in flames when the GAR forces arrived in twenty minutes to Nogales's outskirts, after both the bombing and the cruise missiles impacted.

"Break off, Titans. The others will go in," the lead bomber reported. "Return to base."

The stratofortresses banked around as the Raptors, Eagles, and Warthogs dove towards the ground, heading for the GAR 3rd Expeditionary Force that moved on Nogales to provide air support.


Gulf of Mexico
1530, 4-23-08

CVBG Enterprise continued to hold position-CVBG Vinson and Bush had closed position and were within long visable range now for the Enterprise with cloudy skies in the Gulf. Planes moved around in the hangers and on the decks of the carriers, as VLS tubes continued to be loaded on other ships. They were waiting confirmation of successful strikes at the six target border cities before the next strike would be issued.

Marxikhani ships began to drop like flys with the Russain Missils, and things were looking bad.

The head of the Navy was awaiting the order to pull ut but i wasn't coming..."What the hell are they thinking, if we lose this battle we lose half of our fleet...."

Meanwhile the Prime Minister spoke to his cabinet inside the federal bunker/head of military operations outside of a small village in Peru.

"We will not back down in that battle at sea!" Chavez shouted "We need to show these people and the world that we can hold off these people. I want a CNN press confrance from inside the Bunker. I want them to know if they want freedom they have to die for it!"

Troops began to mobilize by the CAE border, they were voluntering to send in troops, but it was not going to be alot. There was reason to belive that there was going to be a Russain Ground Invasion.

"Mr.Chaves, they navy demands that we pull out. It would be wise not to let half of our navy just slip away"

"Fine. Whatever, i want us to focus on land defence, so for now pull back the navy. We can launch smaller attacks later. We have enouph well armed subs to launch a few small ambushes."

The Marxikhani ships seemed to have been pulling away, but the Russians kept on firing until they were out of range. After a damage assesment, they had lost one frigate, two destroyers, and six planes. There was also a large amount of ships damaged, including the Admiral Kuznetsov, three destroyers, and some of the aircraft. A call had been sent out to the rest of the Pacific fleet to send assistance to the carrier group. As soon as the rest of the Pacific Fleet got there, the damaged ships were going to be sent off to Kamchatka for repairs and salvaging.

The fleet pulled back into port. Over half of the ships were sunk, or needed to be salvaged. There was alot of repairs to be done, but there wasn't much time. The rest of the navy was coming to add additional support but they would be there in 4 days. The admiral had plans for a few ambushes that put Marxikhan back on the offencive.

SECRET LETTER TO: Third Alliance Nations

All troops we have recently placed in Trinidad and Tobago, totally some 80,000 – will be withdrawn immediately and relocated to the islands of Sicily and Sardinia in order to monitor the African situation. This is not a planned invasion, but similar to what we had done here in Trinidad – but on our rightful land which means there will be less unrest about it.

5,000 troops will remain, and most of the navy we had stationed there too, and your troops can if you wish, to keep stability in T&T, and once this terrible war is over to commence elections.

Upon the commencement of hostilities between the UR and the USSM, the peacekeeping squadron pulled out of the area, allowing the nemeses to begin obliterating each other. War with one their neighbors was not immediately in the forecast for the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere, and the fleet made its way back to Japan.

Marxikhani ships began their repairs were somewhere in a small bunker in Peru the government planned....

HMS Alexia DeLèan Aircraft Carrier, Somewhere in the Pacific Ocean

The bridge of the carrier was fairly quiet being late at night and the combat air patrol was in the sky on standard operations. The Carrier group consisted of the newly renamed Kitty Hawk class HMS Alexia DeLèan; Three Bramapatura Class Frigates, Two Delhi Class Guided Missile Destroyers, One, Talwar Class Frigate. Plus Two Veer Class Missile Corvette, One Abhay Class ASW Corvette, Two Singhogosh Class Attack Sub (SSK), Two Pondicherry Class Minesweeper and one Replenishment Tanker containing fuel, ammunition and supplies for the carrier group. The ships moved in formation the carrier being the largest was at the centre of the fleet the night lit up by the engines of F-25 Tejas fighters as they rocketed off the carrier deck into the air and committed backbreaking landings when there patrol was finished.

An officer dressed in navy blue walked up to Admiral Kara Pentaguast her short black hair barely touching her collar and 3 star rank insignia on her collar. "Ma'am; Emergency Flash action message" the young officer said handing the white paper over to the female admiral. Her eyes cast over the words carefully reading her orders.

"Helm; make way heading 3 degrees 25minutes north, 78 degrees 45 minutes west, full ahead. Make like the wind Mr Potter, Comm inform the rest of the fleet of our course change" she said.

"Aye Aye Skipper, 4.0835, by -72.9932, like the wind", came the practised reply.

The large battle group slowly started to turn towards South America; the air wing consisted of 60 F-24 Tejas fighters and 10 Sea king utility helicopters. It was likely that the replenishment tanker would need to start running supplies from the NAR Hawaii base once things heated up. If it came to a land invasion however; that would be significantly more difficult. But for now the wheels were in motion.

Third Expeditionary Force had penetrated the outskirts of the small city. The other five expeditionary forces were all arriving in their targets-Mexicali, with the Second, being the largest insertion. Fires were burning across the city from the earlier strikes by B-52H bomber flights from Tempe-and there was a clear line of shot directly into Nogales.

The command was given. Third's group of howitzers opened fire, beginning the first land shots opening into Nogales. Across the border, the six expeditionary fleets, acting in unison, all began preemptory shelling into their respective cities.

The 14th and 16th Field Armies are being mobilised to be shipped over to Lima. A chemical strike is anticipated pre-landing, along with an air strike.

Three Oscar-II's are moving within firing range of the USSM, two in the Pacific, one in the Caribbean.

The Marxikhani armed forces began to mobilze, a large number of them began to meet some of the UR ships at sea, once in range they began to fire.

The URN ships began to pull back out of gun range while launching Anti-ship missiles at the oncoming ships. The Akula subs launched two cruise missiles each which burst out of the water and sped at an altitude of fifteen feet towards the ships.

I find it godmoddish to have five subs appear out of nowhere behind me and destroy my whole fleet. I said what was there a few posts in advance for you to know what was there, and if they are wehre you said they are, my sonar would have picked up their signatures long before they attacked.

Carriers USS Eisenhower and USS Abraham Lincoln and their respective battle fleets had remained behind in all the recent excitement at Jacksonville naval base...but they were not staying long. Hispaniola was the first target-the Dominican Republic and Haiti had the strongest militaries of the three islands, and would be targeted by both groups. They would then split up after subjugating Hispaniola to take out Jamaica and Puerto Rico. Jamaica would be softened up first by Cuban missile barrages. With Guantanamo Bay just around the corner, there was more than enough troops to cover any needs. It wasn't like the Cyprus situation, where the avaliable troops would be the ones that had been shipped across.

At midday exactly, without any warning whatsoever, the attack began. Tomahawks from the Eisenhower group began blasting off en masse against two Dominican cities-Santo Domingo and Santiago de los Caballeros, the two largest population centers of the Dominican Republic. The Lincoln group began the same action against Haiti-targeting the city center of Port-au-Prince and the major port city of Labadee. The first strike was underway.

It was a defeaning outside, with the sound of the American howitzers and gunfire. Most of the city had already been in flames if not already destroyed. A Sergeant slowly moved up to the Colonel, who was at the Command Post, hesistant to deliver his message.

"Colonel, the Dragoons and the Rifles have begun to fall back. The American's are overwhelming us with larger numbers and firepower. We've lost already a thousand at the warehouse alone".

Despite the hostilities outside, the Colonel's office seemed to have gone in complete silence. A silence taken in by both the Sergeant, the Colonel and his staff.

"Colonel, I suggest that we conti-"

"No, Captain. You heard the Sergeant. Contact Command, it is no longer possible to hold this city. We fall back with the rest of the division at Yaqui River".

"As for the city Colonel?"

"Burn it. Burn whatever the Americans may use. Anything that the Americans can use for shelter, food or ammunitions. Burn anything they haven't already destroyed".

We are going to encircle and flank them out. Group one will assault the American fleet, while group will flank the American fleet. Group three shall provide support and relief. If anything goes badly, Group three shall see our retreat. Inform the rest of the carrier group".

-Hispaniola, Carribean Sea-

Chaos. That is the only word for what is happening on the island of Hispaniola. After the NAR's brutal Cruise Missle attack on 4 cities on the island, much of the Islands population was dispersed and thousands of homeless fled into the countryside of the Island, hoping to evade the cruise missles.

The damage in the cities was staggering. Many buildings had been leveled, and crushed bodies were being found all the time. It was a scene reminiscent from painting's of hell. The few police and firemen that were still around tried to contain the fired that were now consuming the cities, but they were fighting a losing battle.

Just hours after the cruise missles had stopped, the remaining Government officials of the Island met and discussed what is to be done. Many were in support of asking the Third Alliance for help, but it was countered by the fact that the TA and the Entente were rivals and that any spark could ignite a world war. A few discussed surrender to the NAR, it was the most likely choice, considering the few military options the Island had. It was then decided that the Island of Hispaniola would surrender voluntarily to the NAR.

We must beseech you please stop your mindless attacks on our nations. We are but a simple Island of famers and you attack us with Cruise missles? Shameful.

But we know why you attack us so brazenly, you want us to surrender to you so you can expand you influence in the Carribean. Well so be it, you've won. We surrender, but only if you agree to not harm any of the Islanders.

The three Oscar-II cruise missile subs rose to launch depth and launched their long range missiles. Seventy-four were fired in all, with infrastructure targets in Bogota, Caracas, Lima and Quito selected. The main goal of this strike was to hinder the USSM economy as much as possible. The Slava-Class cruisers also launched ten missiles each, ten heading to strategic locations in Bogota, ten heading to strategic locations in Caracas. Three Tu-160's were being prepped for cruise missile attacks as well, most of which were on strategic locations throuought the USSM. The 1st Naval Infantry division began to move out for the Pacific, their target is still secret.

Frist smiled in Chicago when the latest news came in. It was rewarding...and yet, the Haitians and Dominicans didn't even know how good they could have it.

We have no wish to harm your populace, nor subjugate your peoples-simply, a campaign of integration. Your Caribbean brothers in Cuba have already come to the Republic, and with potentially hostile regimes in the area...the ball is set to roll one way or the other. I'm sure you can understand our situation.

We are in the works of making it better for your nation, however. Though for a long time, Cuba has remained the sole District of the Oceana Region of the Republic-we plan to integrate Hispaniola as a united island-a united culture-into the Oceana Region. We will turn what was fractured dividence in the Caribbean into a united area of strength-and we will see to it that Hispaniola as a whole will be brought up to the standard of what Cuba, and the recently-rebelled Quebec, have both ascended. We have the resources, the assets, and more importantly, the friends, to do it-and more.

Your understanding of this situation is well appreciated. Republic contractors and government officials will be out to Hispaniola once the situations of Jamaica and Puerto Rico are finished out-and we will ensure that Hispaniola joins Cuba as one of the Western Hemisphere's shining island pinnacles.

As a further bonus, the Republic is willing to allow the current national leader of the Dominican Republic, Leonel Fernández, to assume the position as "Governor" for the newly-formed Hispaniola District when it comes to finishing. It is a token of our trust, and our trust in that the people of Hispaniola are overall, Caribbean-and more importantly, North American. Hispaniola will recieve the traditional 12 representatives accorded to each District in the Republic Senate once administrative details are worked out-given an equal voice to all other districts-and will have a population representation accorded to it in the House of Representatives.
