Actually you probably could afford to armour particualr sections of a helicopter agaisnt .50cal threats, not all of it unless you were prepared to sacrafice quite a bit of rnage and paylaod but it could be done.
All helicopters can land without thier tail rotor (if they have one), it just it is impossible for conventional layout helicopter to do it controllably, even if they cut the engine out and autogyrate.

As for armouring airliners it isn't really feasible or nessicary, as it it almsot never that a airliner is going to be operating at altitudes where AAA can reach them, now cannons and missiles fired from aircraft are more of an issue and you simply aren't goign to armouring agaisnt them.


IF you can wait a week i can get some decent propsoals together for these requriements.

At this time, the SAM-113 "C" is a fully customizable aircraft in its interior, unless you would like the example version that is listed, at a price of eight hundred million USD. The ISF-24 UCAV escorts each cost two hundred and fifty one Million USD each, and the maximum control stations in the example Presidential liner is eight. The SAM-44 costs thirty six million USD baseline, and fourty four Million USD for the example given. If you choose the full scale, layout, the aircraft and costs would be as follows:
1-SAM-113 "C" Presidential Liner: 800 Million USD
8- ISF-24 Daelkyrs: 251X8= 2,008 Million USD

Most tactical nukes are deployed from artillery, not in rockets.

Oh and an EMP Blast wouldn't do much against an ICBM, seeing how I don't care where it hits, meaning it will still hit you or explode in above your country thereby radiating it. Also that EMP blast would probably knock out alot of your anti-air systems.

Do you even know how much SR-71's cost to build and maintain? Billions, and yea you can get maybe an AK-47 for 75, probably a bolt-action rifle, but you know they won't be any good. Not to mention you have a Defense budget of 6%. That's $9,617,596,636. My government has that lying around in it's waste. The SR-71 cost $33,000,000 to build when it was first designed. That's at least 30 years ago, and with inflation...

As for a former note, about the knowing when someone turns the key for the Nuclear Arms...not even the SR-71 can see through walls.
