Good afternoon I’m Robert Johnson with this WNN special report.
Last week the enigmatic Amigosan Empire, a relative unknown on the world stage, came to the forefront due to the sudden ascension of Elena Damaskinos who declared herself Imperial Overseer after the sudden and mysterious death of her father former Overseer Orn Damaskinos and elder brother and next in line to the throne Allen Damaskinos.
An attempt to block Elena’s ascension by Amigosan Division Lords at least until the investigation into Orn and Allen’s death’s was completed was squashed when Lord Faustinas a member of the Amigosan Chamber of Lords who was leading the investigation was found guilty of treason and put to death along with his entire family some 86 individuals.. The other Division Lords immediately dropped the investigation fearing for not only their own lives but for the lives of their families.
Shortly there after Amigosa’s massive military was mobilized as former Amigosan territories; Karr, Jitaka, and Mahala which had declared independence many years earlier were forcibly annexed. Rebel factions that sprung up shortly after the annexations were crushed promptly by imperial forces; all suspected insurgents were charged with treason against the Dominion and put to death along with their families.
Fear has gripped some of the smaller countries bordering Dominion territory who believe that they too will be swallowed up by the insatiable maw of the Amigosan Empire.
Imperial Overseer Elena Damaskinos had very little to say concerning the annexations saying only that she will be welcoming members of the international community to a conference at the Amigosan capital of Sarnak in one weeks time to discuss the current state of affairs. Any and all nations with concerns have been invited to send a delegate to this gathering.
