New Ithica, Trutica- In a shocking series of events, a previously unknown faction has taken up arms agains the Trutican government, displaying a fierce show of forces. The crisis for the country's current leadership began to unfold last night, when the militia, self-dubbed the [i]Trutican Insurgency of Freedom, now more commonly referred to as "TIF", ambushed the Trutican military based that surrond the major port city of Ankrock. It then proceeded to hold siege to the city. They neutralized government tanks and helicopters with surprisingly advanced weaponry, including truck-mounted anti aircraft machineguns and anti-tank rockets and rifles. It has been reported that, like most in the region, the militia is armed with the standard AK-47. The Ankrock Police Department (APD) was eliminated in a matter of hours. One hundred civillians were killed in the crossfire, and three hundred were wounded. Fifty of those three hundred are reportedly in critical condition. However, civillians were not the apparent targets of the TIF, but the government officials. The mayor, police commisioner, and a visiting governor were all assasinated thirty minutes before, leaving the hierachy of the city in ruins. All city councilmen were captured, and are still in custody of the insurgency. The city is now officially under TIF control.

The Trutican government had responded weakly, its meak military held back by the robust militia. It appears that a charge for the capital is underway. The government has issued several pleas to its allies and neighbors to assist in a militaristic response to the TIF's offensive. A reply has yet to be heard of.

OOC
First off, this is completely open for any sort of response. However, I do request that the outcome of this thread be the TIF's victory, seeing that I would like to start out my nation very fresh.
I will be roleplaying as several characters/parties in this topic. This may be including, but not restricted to: The TIF Officials, the Trutican Gov. Officials, a specific TIF soldier, a specific Trutican Gov. soldier, and a civillian. I will multiple personalities in the same post as to not "spam" in a way.

Your country's (or your personal) reaction can be:
A diplomatic message
A military response (Make sure that it isn't too strong b/c the outcome should be a TIF triumph)
A Red-Cross like humanitarian group
A newspaper reporter
A businessman withdrawing his investments in the country
Etc.

Subject: The Ankrok/TIF problem

We offer our sympathies for your current plight in Ankrok, and we would gladly send a detachment of our forces to your aid, provided we had any available at this time.

You see, your timing isn't that convienent for us, as 80% of our fleets are currently tied up in other duties, and the other 20% must remain in resserve to repel any would-be invaders, 2 of our fleets are being used to quell a considerably larger rebellion than yours, plus they are an ally, so pulling forces from that front isn't an option, and the other 2 available fleets are helping defend another downtrodden nation from pirates.

We hope you understand our situation. We shall however, send forces as soon as we can.

Hubert A. Pinkerton
Minister of Foriegn Affairs

PS: BTW, how many troops would you consider sufficient to stop this rebellion?

Really good first post, if my nation was about 10% its current size I'd try and getting involved immediately. BTW, TIF may want to ask for help from the Five Points and Leafansi Mafia...

I'd like to know some details on the government of Trutica and the revolution that threatens to replace it. Hopefully the TIF will be a group the LFA can support. The government of Tyrrena has noticed the rebellion in your nation and will give you some aid in crushing it. We will be deploying an expeditionary team of 20 Extremists which will be inserted via orbital drop. Also, we will be deploying a team of Tyrrena Red Cross members, a small, unarmed mobile hospital. Note that this team will aid ALL wounded civilians, or soldiers, meaning both rebels and government soldiers. The rebels, after being healed, will then be taken to a government building, and after that we recommend giving them a trial in court. That will be all.

Upon extensive requests, I'll properly articulate the Trutican government.
-The congress votes on the leader and all other laws and bills.
-The people elect the congressmen
-It is a relativley free country.
-The people's wealth vary. Middle and lower classes rule over the rich minority.
-There is no term limit. Uri Istan has been in power for 30 years.
-Istan has been seen has a relatively humane person, but is unwilling to stepdown, his corrupt grip on the congress's throats getting his jobs done.

President Istan-
The morning of September 2nd the Trutican government received several diplomatic messages from neighboring nations regarding the crisis that had unfolded involving the TIF army.

The Angoarian nation has offered its assistance, sending a short letter suggesting that they aid us, as has the Great British Government. The People's Republic of Hurtful Thoughts has sent sympathies but refuses to act due to other more pressing military tie-ups.

The Trutican Government is a Republic. The country's formal name is the Republic of Trutica.

This following post is an example of the small town movements. I'll go ahead and write a combat when I have more of an anti-guerilla response. I would like those who have pledged assistance to the rutican government to post their troops landing in the Capital's government airport. You can then set out for one of the following for destinations:
The Capital,
The City of New Quent
The City Krachet (Pronounced Krasheyt)
The Awster Mountain Range (5,000 Guerilla troops there and counting)

Or they can--
Set up roadblocks along IC-40
Attempt to retake Ankrock

If you have pledged assitance to the guerillas, the only safe place for you military to land is at the Ankrock Airport or the port there (by ship). If you pledge planes, bombers specifically, you should bomb Government troop movements.

--From the View of Truman Darius [Soldier of TIF]--
The village was a small one. The small houses of pinewood and the stone town hall were not impressive. They were nestled in the valley of Trutica's only moutain range, part of a long chain of village that lined Trutica's biggest highway, IP-50 (Inter-province 50).

The people were cooperative. They did not stand in fight agains Darius's detachment of guerilla fighters. They met no conflict whatsoever. The sheriff of the town, in fact, handed over his weapon as a greeting. The 100 men stormed the Post Office, obtaining all relativley significant government papers. The school was temporarily shut down, and the town hall was blown up with some of the detachment's C4 supply. Civillians were to stay in there homes until further notice. There was to be a curfew. Soon, this would end, and there lives would resume under a better government. That is what they were told by the Guerilla commander, Truman Darius. He was a tall man, slightly broadshoulder and with a young face. He, along with hundreds of other detachments identical to his own, were spreading across the country, taking control of these logger and farmer towns that made up the country. One of the four major cities was already firmly under their control, and the second most important at that.

--From the View of a Trutican Soldier--
Simon Kingsley was a small man, 5'8'' and skinny. He held his M9 rifle by his side, sweating profusley. His teeth were clenched, his body pressed against the large piece of rubble that was providing him cover. TIF had somehow gotten ahold of some advanced heavy firepower, including Carl Gustav anti-tank systems, which had mowed through a block-long military compound, the building Kingsley was now protecting. He was in the city of New Quent - And the first of the TIF guerillas had arrived.

It wasn't as hopeless as they expected. Besides the Carl Gustav machinery, TIF was weak in numbers. An estimated 200 TIF soldiers had arrived with the anti-tank weapons, and 500 Trutican Gov. troops were stationed at the base. An intense fight had ensued, which Simon was in the midst of. The man next to him was about to give him cover fire with the SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon) so Simon could rush across the street to where Captain Thomas was holed up.

The SAW opened fire on the TIF position and Kingsley began to run across the road as fast has he could, but had to pick his way through debris from the collapsing buildings. Just as he found cover on the other side of the street, he was hit in the foot by a well placed shot. He howled but managed to get behind the huge boulder that Captain Thomas and twenty other men were using as cover. A medic rushed over to him, pulling out his supplies as he moved.

The man with the SAW rifle on the other side of the road was named Gregory Heck. He was now the sole soldier on that side of the street, and he had a feeling that the enemy was going to make a rush for him. This was not comforting, for he heard of their mercilessness. He quickly went prone, and scanned the scene for a better cover spot. He could not make it across the wide road where the rest of his squad was with Captain Thomas because there was no cover fire for him.

So instead he took the offensive. He unclipped his last grenade from his bandolier and snuck over to another pillar around 10 feet away. He had to crawl there, or otherwise he would be seen.

Once he made it across, he had a good throw to where one of the anti-tank cannons were, along with five guerillas. In one swift movement, he tossed the frag into their sand-bag fortification.

It exploded. Bodies and shrapnel were sent flying into the air. Bits of the Carl Gustav anti-tanks, which were red hot, flew into Gregory. His flesh sizzled and scream in agony. Within seconds another, much larger piece of metal landed on him, killing him. But he had done a great service, for now his men rushed forward, for the first time in the entire battle, making an offensive.

Some Guerilla's in the windows of the military compound's left wing opened fire on them, their AK-47s characteristically inaccurate, but dangerous none the less. Two soldiers of the Trutican government were killed as their squad rushed forward with Captain Thomas. Once they made it to the entrance of the building that the guerrillas had taken, they sprayed M9 fire into the lobby, killing three Guerillas. They took cover behind the sprawling reception center, a long counter-like series of secretary stations that now lay unoccupied. On the other end of the lobby, where the elevators were, around 10 guerilla fighters had found cover behind a large piece of debris.

It would be a long day in the city of New Quent.

The Mighty C-17 made contact with the runway and the tyres left off a sligth screech. The landing had been more gnetle then Sagrent jones and expected. This C-17 was the last of 3, a small group of soldeirs from the 2nd Battalion the parachute regiment. Not even a full battalion, but enough for thier mission. The mighty plane came to halt about 20 meters from the other planes, a member of the crew prssed a small button on a control pannel at the back of the palne and the ramp began to lower with a whine. The inside of the plane lit up to reveal the soldiers and a few pallets containg supplys.

The Other C-17's and began to unload evreything. One of them full of soldiers and a few supplys, the other contained 4 Bison Infantry fighting vechiles. the Major supplys where due to be dropped in shortly. The Soldiers began to walk down the ramp of the C-17, hunched slightly under the weight of thier large burgens, weapons dangling by thier sides from the straps slung around thier soldiers. The Standard Assult rifle of the British Amry was the h&K G36, a 5.56mm rifle with a 2x scope and a 40mm grenade launcher. A few soldiers had FN Minimis and the British made GPMG.

"Okay, evreyone over at the meeting point now!" Ordered Sargent Jones

It was going to be a long, difficult day.

Official Imperial Message

The empire has taken note of the rebellious activity and will send an expeditionary force of 10,000 Imperial troops in order to aid government forces in quelling this upstart faction..also en-route will be the 2nd and 4th Imperial high seas fleets in order to further support government forces and hamper rebel supply efforts..

a few hours later

The roar of the incoming C-5's was deafening 6 of them total..touched down one after another...Lt. General Verov sat comfortably..as the plane finally came to a stop..
"Looks like we aren't the first ones here general." a young lieutenant pointed towards a group of C-17's parked and unloading their equipment

"So I see...at least we know we have more allies to support us..I'll have to meet with their commander once we get everything unloaded we should coordiante our efforts and know their plans, once fleet gets here we won't want them bombing any friendlies and when we are finished unloading find a Trutican commander I believe we should discuss our stratgey jointly."

All of the planes now landed men and equipment began pouring out..General Verov standing in the back of his command vehicle watching his troops assemble..other planes were busy unloading supplies and the most valuable equipment of all, several medium and light tanks along with infantry combat vechiles....it would be a couple more hours before everything was unloaded

Meanwhile General Verov now satisfied that things would move smoothly, raced over to meet the other group of government supporters stopping a young soldier... "You there..who is your commanding officer I wish to have a word with him."

1000km away from Trutica

Admiral Kusar fleet's appointed area commander read over the report confirming that Verov's forces had landed..and turned back to a young communications officer..probably fresh out of ops training

"Inform General Verov we will arrive off coast within the next 12 hours and that full fleet support will be avaliable and then radio the Trutican government to inform them we are avaliable to assisst them as well."

"Aye Admiral" The communications officer quickly turned to his computer and began sending out the encrypted messages as ordered

UPEO Taskforce Trutica - Van Luxemburgian Detachment

While the last aircraft still soared overhead, the first trucks left New Ithica's governmental airport. The VLT M5's - highly advanced military trucks - were at disadvantage here, since the Van Luxemburgian Terraforce (Army) wasn't used to dangerous environments and always felt perfectly safe, and had send the vehicles on their way while only being uparmoured to the internationally accepted level B7, which was originally meant for private vehicles and offered little to no protection to RPG attacks.

Therefore, the commander of the Van Luxemburgian Detachment of the UPEO taskforce, Hubert Kristiansen, had took a lot of flags and paint which could be washed away with a chemical liquid, so he could warn attackers they were opening fire on the wrong convoy or the wrong troops. Now, every vehicle had been equipped with at least 2 flags, a Van Luxemburgian one, and the UPEO one, with some also carrying a white flag to indicate they were completely neutral. Also, a large white square was painted on all vehicles, withe the words 'UPEO - OEPU' placed in them, the first abbreviation being in English, the latter in French. In a smaller font, 'Humanitarian Assistance - Assistance Humanitaire' was painted beneath it, indicating the vehicles belonged to a humanitarian taskforce.

Also, troops had been instructed to wear their white helmets at all times, so they could be identified as peacekeeping troops or friendly units. They were clothed in heavy protective clothing, which should offer protection to bullets up to 7.62mm in size. Also, most troops had been armed, up from the doctors with their SIG-Sauer P250 pistols, to 45 Brigade - 2nd Battalion's JK13 Assault Rifles - Licensed SIG550 Rifles chambered in 6.8mm Van Luxemburgian - which were fully loaded with all equipment needed for skirmishes expected by the Ministry of Defence. A set of 12 SPz-9 IFV's was carried by the same amount of M5's, and crew had already manned the IFV's while they were parked on the truck's flatbed trailers, so they could take action at any possible point in the trip.

Behind 2nd Battalion's vehicles, a large amount of completely white trucks followed, accompanied by several smaller vans and 4x4's, sometimes followed by a normal car. All vehicles had a red cross covering the hood and the sides of the vehicles, plus the back of the vehicle carrying a somewhat smaller version of the Red Cross. A sentence below the red crosses identified the vehicles: 'Van Luxemburgian Red Cross - Vun Lëtzebuerger Router Kräiz', with the last version being in Vun Lëtzebuergesch, Van Luxemburg's national language. The convoy was illuminated in blue flashing lights, created by the lightbars and blue rotating beacons which were used as warning lights for the Red Cross vehicles.

Following the Red Cross vehicles, a small group of Engineers followed with their vehicles - two PPz-3 'Nashorn' Armed Pioneer and Recovery tank, four Liebherr wheeled cranes, one PPz-4 bridgelaying tank, three Caterpillar bulldozers and a set of VLT M5 trucks. Those trucks carried the encampment of the Detachment, which would be set up outside TIF territory, along the IC-40.

Behind the Engineers, another group of vehicle illuminated by blue flashing lights closed the convoy. However, these vehicles, in an olive green paintjob, with some exceptions using the normal camouflage pattern, were operated by the Grand-Ducal Marechaussee, and would enforce Military Law amongst the troops, and man road blocks along the IC-40, along with 2nd Battalion. The high-powered and heavily armoured 4x4's had no problems following the convoy, which was travelling along at about 80 km/h. Neither was a group of M5 trucks covered in a blue paint, which were filled with all kinds of essential equipment for the Marechaussee, but also with the Military Policemen themselves. Two Eagle IV 4x4's ended the convoy, and carried large traffic signs on their back indicating they were member of a UPEO Humanitarian Convoy, that they would be travelling at 80 kilometers per hour, and that it was forbidden to overtake the convoy.

The Detachment's mission: establish a base outside TIF territory, along the IC-40, which offered medical healthcare and technical assistance to civilians, aswell as provide a safe haven for people on the run for violence. The Marechaussee, along with 2nd Battalion, would man a permanent roadblock on both sides of the IC-40, in order to control in- and outgoing traffic over the IC-40 to TIF territory. If necessary, the troops at the roadblock could redirect civilians to the base itself for medical and technical aid. Engineers would also be patrolling the area, protected by 2nd battalion once again, to keep roads clear and restore some houses in their former condition. The Ministry of Defence was maybe a bit all too enthousiastic about this mission.

Deep in Rebel held territory

Major Michel Kurita of the Order looked over the battle reports, he looked up as his executive officer Captain Paul Freidman entered the tent.
"So Paul how is it going with the locals?"
" If we can teach these monkeys how to shoot straight it would be something. These people are eager but as all guerrilla groups they lack discipline and training. "
Major Kurita stood up and walked over to a table to pour himself a cup of coffee. " Our main problem here is that we are heavily out numbered and with Gataway landing troops it just made our position worse."
" So Major, we just stay in the hills and train these monkeys to be soldiers and when the time is right we strike. "
" It will not be that simple and you know it. We can't expect major help from back home if the Duke ever found out what Master Slayn is doing then we could all be shot. The TIF has to make the Government look like the bad guys. If they can get the people and world opinion on our side then we could come out in the open and bring major support in. "
" So how do we do this? "
" Good question, Let me think "

Again, remember that TIF must win this. I highly suggest that you don't act too strongly if you're fighting against TIF, because you'll have to lose, and I don't want to make your five hundred thousand troops fighting force lose to some guerillas. But seriously, I hate to be such a forcer, it's just the outcome I need for my country to work out. Thanks. I stated that at the beginning.

--From the View of Winston Erin - Guerilla Fighter--

Fifteen or so soldiers had just rushed into the lobby, and were just about one hundred feet away from Winston, his cousin Hans, and his brother Lance. They were pressed behind a bunker, their AK-47s hot in their hands. They were to hold their position at all costs until reinforcements came. The ten or so men that were upstairs battling Trutican government soldiers on the rooftops were trying to come down, but also needed to hold the rooftops. That's what they had said on the radio.

This particular "radio" was a walkietalkie held by Lance. It was their only communication device with the rest of the TIF men in the compound they had attack. Around 50 percent of their Carl Gustav anti-tank weapons had been destroyed in the battle, but they had done what they needed to do. The military compound was on the verge of crumbling. All TIF needed to do was hold off the soldiers until reinforcements came with the tanks and hopefully the choppers.

Winston gripped his AK tightly, his black-and-white camo gear damp around his neck with sweat. He leaned the slightest bit around the corner of the rubble they were behind until he could see the shoulder of one of them men. He could around twenty seconds aiming. The lobby was quiet. When he was sure that the man's shoulder was in his crosshair, he fired. A spurt of red erupted down the lobby where he had shot, and a scream pierced the air. They returned fire, but now Lance also had achieved a good position. The men who had come out to return fire were quickly taken down. One appeared to be a high ranking official.

Just then the door to the stairwell burst open, and more Guerillas from the roof rushed in. It was five to be exact. They joined their comrades behind the rubble. Hans turned to them, whispering. "What about the roofs?" he asked angrily. One of the other guerillas replied "We left five men up there,".

The eight-strong squad opened fire as the 13 men across the lobby made an offensive. Five fell in their charge, but two of the TIF men from the roof had been hit. Hans and Lance dragged them behind the rubble. The enemy took advantage of this and charged forward, eight men versus six. Hans was hit in the shoulder and slammed into the wall. Lance took out two of the chargers, and the other guerrillas finished off three. Now three government troops were left, all injured. The guerillas moved forward and whipped out wired from their belt-pouches. They tied up the hands of their captives and knocked them out with the butt of their rifles. They then dragged them behind the rubble, where they tended to Hans.

Major Evans, the commander of the operation, rushed over to Sargent jones. Jones saluted him as he approached then put his arm back down to grasp his weapon.

"Sargent, i want your men in those bison's now. You need to travel down IC-40 and secure a position 10 miles from the enemy contolled towers, the rest of us are going to wait here for the heavier warrior Armoured fighting vechiles if they ever arrive!" Ordered the major.

"Yes sir!" Replied Sargent jones as he turned to his men sitting by the ramp of one of the C-17s "Platton! on me!" He shouted as he started towards the bison's. The Bison was a standard infantry fighting vechile with 8 wheels, a weapon mount with two GPMGs and enought room for 8 troops. It provided basic protection against RPGs and small arms, but nothing more.

The small platoon of 32 men jumped up as soon as he spoke and followed him to the Bisons, each squad jumping in to its respective vechile. A slight amount of black smoke came from the exhaust's as the Diesel engines burts into life and the vechiles moved forwards to the exit of the airport and to begin thier journey down the IC-40 road.

It was a bright April morning and Commandante Anselmo Crista or “Cabrita”, as his soldiers had lovingly christened him, was up and about reading on last evening’s Thakurian Journal on his laptop. Just arriving the night before, Cabrita and his 1,800 Exporters of Revolution were to be expected at the battlefront aiding the TIF insurgency. His reports from Thakuria confirmed a successful bombing raid by 3 MIGs on a Trutican military base near TIF controlled territory along the IC-40. At only 25, Cabrita was in command of men over 10 years his own age. However, what he lacked in age, Cabrita made up in military skill. Cabrita was one of the leading Commanders in Matteo Ferrofusil's Thakurian Revolution 8 years before. His practice of “Mobile War” had proven successful in destroying the Thakurian Army despite being outnumbered 4 to 1. The country was Cabrita’s turf and he sought to use the peasant’s desire of change to fuel Revolution, and the 200 HK G3 Battle Rifles he had brought from Thakuria were to be the peasant arms in that revolution. HQ had provided 10 ERC 90 Sagaie light tanks just in case there were unexpected encounters but it was unlikely Cabrita would use them. “War is won by the rifle not by a tank” was his saying. However, he was willing to allow the TIF to control the tanks, and rightfully so, none of his men had been trained in dealing with armour, their specialty was rural warfare and not in use of armour, which would surely need the use of roads. Cabrita rose from his hammock and shot his pistol in the air in five minutes came his E.R. units came, some stumbling so as they struggled to put on their signature black trousers and black berets. “Today’s lesson, comes from Che Guevara's practice of Focalism and Mao's practice of Mobile War, which shall blended to provide our tactics”. "No matter how many troops the enemy has, if he cannot win the hearts of the people, it is doomed from the start".

Government

The People’s Republic of Thakuria is under The Thakurian Revolutionary Party, a Revolutionary Libertarian Communist party that is led by the founder Matteo Ferrofusil. Ferrofusil founded the party during the Thakurian Revolution in 1999. Ferrofusil was able to gain support after successive military victories proved that the Thakurian Royal Army was insufficient. Once riots in Thakuria happened the Cristo Royal Family fled the nation under cover of darkness, allowing Ferrofusil to seize power on New Years Day. Ferrofusil immediately taking power decentralized the economy from mercantilist policies and instead promoted Worker Self-Management. Corruption and crime in the nation are virtually unknown since work is guaranteed and social programs have combated all forms of poverty in the nation.

The Small convoy of four Buffalo Infantry fighting vechiles came to stop at the side of the IC-40. The troops disemabrked caustiously, TIF had been seen operating close to this position and a nearby military base had been hit by enemy aircraft. Two soliders from each of the squad moved forward ten meters and took up defensive positions on thier knees leaving a meter or two in between one another to cover the alrge road as best they could. Four of the soldiers had H&K G36's, 3 with 40mm grenade laucnhers and one without. Another two carried Fn Minimi Light machine guns and the last two with GPMG 7.62mm machine guns. The soldiers with the GPMGs got down in the prone position with the weapons being suported by bipods.

The rest of the platoon unloaded equipment from the top of the Buffalos, including Light Guided Anti-tank weapons and Starstreak Anti Air Weapon systems. They had been told to wait here unti further orders, which probably would not come until the more formidable Warior APC's got Air droppe din with the rest of the equipment.

Two Cougar 6x6 Armoured vechiles and two engineers tractors pulled up next to the convoy, they had the equipment to build the tempory road blocks, made up mostly of sandbags and razor wire. The Engineers tracotrs would be used in the building of a small camp nearby for the rest of the expedionary force one they arrived.

(OOC: I have taken the liberty of already establishing my base along the IC-40, hope you don't mind.)

IC-40, just outside TIF territory

While several men of the Marechaussee were still directing the last few vehicles onto an improvised parking lot, Engineers were already busy setting up the roadblocks, soldiers busy building concealed MG nests along the road, and Red Cross employees were bickering over how their tents should be built.

The Engineers were building a somewhat reinforced version of a normal Van Luxemburgian Police checkpoint, which were used to check peoples' ID's amongst other things. They were not permanent, as those checkpoints were meant to be in action for only an evening or so. However, the Engineers used solid concrete blocks to create separate lanes in which every individual car would be checked, and men from the Marechaussee set up 4 mobile Röntgen installations -two for each lane-, to check each truck for contraband. Troops from 2nd Battalion had been sent out to construct warning signs, so there wouldn't be any misunderstandings over who they were.

MG nests were constructed in a way they could open fire on possible aggressors coming from all directions. Two of the SPz-9 IFV's were stationed at the roadblock, the other ten would be serving as backup or patrolling the area, while the Engineering vehicles were currently erecting a camp made up out of tents and prefab buildings, while troops of, again, 2nd Battalion had been digging improvised bunker sites, which were now being reinforced with sandbags and other protective gear. The Marechaussee was busy putting up large amounts of flags, to show who owned the camp.

Meanwhile, Red Cross employees were having a row over how and who should construct the tents. It would've been obvious to an outsider that those Red Cross employees weren't part of the military organization. While everyone, from the engineers to soldiers, had a clear and set task, the employees from the Red Cross were still discussing if their tents would be build facing south or north. Or anything inbetween, really.

Inbetween all the fuss, Colonel Hubert Kristiansen (usually referred to as 'Hubert' or 'Mr. Kristiansen', as the ranking system of the Van Luxemburgian Army was a bit unused) was familiarizing himself with the region inside his commanding vehicle, a VLT M5 with a C3I module. The truck was only temporary, since a crane would soon lower the module off the truck, so it could be used as the official Command Post. Basically, the Van Luxemburgian UPEO base was ready for use.

(OOC: Visits from both sides, be it friendly, be it hostile, can take place, if you want. Please bear in mind that the troops are completely neutral and are only here for humanitarian aid.)

The Engineers had began building thier bas a few miles closer to enemy contolled areas then the red cross further up the IC-40. They had used the engineers Tracktors to move dirt from the surronding area and hsape it into large "walls" around the area tha camp would be built within, roughly 4 meters high. The Camp had a quite a few tents and vechiles inside since the whole expeditionry force had arrived.

The Force now consisted of three 32 man plattons from the 2nd Battalion Parachute regiment, 16 air assult brigade with four Bisons and 5 warrior Armoured fightign vechiles. Three 32 Man Plattons of Imperial Marines armed with the M4 rifle with the M203 40mm grenade launcher as apose to the G36 mounted in Cougar 4x4s and two V-22s in gunship configuration for air support.

"The IEDs are in place Commandante"
"Good, good, well done private Sanz", said Cabrita as he took a puff from his half smoken cigar. The E.R. units were to claim control of the countryside, especially the farm areas according to Intelligence reports, resistance by government forces was kept in check by TIF forces. "So far so good", Cabritat thought. These IEDs should make sure that any infantry using the IC-40 would be blown to bits. It was never Cabrita's intentions to harm soldiers doing their jobs but his hate for foreign imperialism outweighed his empathy with enemy combatants. Now with Battle Rifle in hand it was time to meet with any available support.

Sargent jones was worried about sending troops on patrols downt he IC-40. He knew the TIF would of placed IEDs somehwere down the road, they posed to real threat to the Warrior Armoured fighting vechiles, the COugars would be significantly damaged but the "V" shape underbelly of the vechile would insure the passangers wouldnt be amred save a few minor cuts and burns. The Buffalos however might not be so lucky and jones new that if they set off an IED nobody inside would stand a chance.

He took the risk and sent out a small two vechile patrol just 3 miles down the IC-40, with any luck nothing would come of his worries. But things rarley turned out like that, and sure enougth infomation came in from the patrol. It was good news, the shit and well and truly hit the fan. A Buffalo had dettonated a device on the road, tearing through the front and killing the three crew and two soldiers, thier was more. They were taking fire from a positions at the side of the road ahead of them and they oculdnt be sure if was TIF or Frendly forces.

The Sargent had to time to waste deciding, he'd have to be careful weather it was TIF or blue on blue.

"Evreybody move NOW!" He screamed as he jumped into the back of the lead warrior heading to give support to the now pinned soldiers.

Captain Paul Freidman looked through his binoculars on the destruction the IED had caused. "I will give these monkeys some credit they can plant a bomb right". Lowering the binoculars he motioned the NCO in charge of the Slingstone crews over to his position. " Sargent Gram are you ready to fire?
"Yes Sir, all three Slingstone launchers are ready and the TIF has a battery of 81mm mortars on the reverse of the hill waiting for the order."
" Good If these Great Britians follow SOP they will be calling in air support and when they do we open up with everything then run like hell. At least these Monkeys can run can't they Sargent?"
"Yes Sir, Trained them myself." The Sargent then got up and hurried back to his gun crew "Asshole" The Sargent murmured under his breath. These were good people fighting for a cause they believed in and this jerk treats them like animals. Well maybe one of his "monkeys" will not shoot so straight next time, I could only hope. With that thought he returned to the gun crews.
"Listen up men if aircraft show up you know what to do Waite for the tone then push the firing stud after that the missile will do the work. Your firing will signal your comrades to open up and give those invaders what for."

“Comrade Ferrofusil would be proud” thought Cabrita, reminiscing of the old days of the Thakurian Revolution. “Fire an RPG toward the first and last vehicle of the convoy, we will not allow these soldiers to escape, nor will we allow their comrades to rescue them”. Although a scholar in classic Maoist approaches to warfare, including baiting his enemies with multiple military fronts, some of which attacked and some of which consciously retreated, Cabrita knew a victory when he saw one, his goal was to clog IC-40 with destroyed vehicles so as to make this a war without the use of armour, and he would apply this tactic if ever the enemy tried to take the city by use of road. The enemy would have to fight in the country side where there was countless support of the TIF, and little to none for the native government forces, who had resorted to using show trials on civilians. This was his strategy. The RPG hunter group had successfully clogged the road, “there was no escape” he thought. “Send them a call to surrender” yelled Cabrita, no man deserves to die like this."

The Warrior coloum continued to move towards the pinned soldiers, despite the hail of inacurate RPGs. Only one warrior had been hit, one of its tracks and come off and it was now unable to move forward. the 8 soldiers within took cover and began to open fire on thier enemy, as did the rest of the warrior vechiels with hiter formidable 30mm radan cannons.

lan Coporal Davis took cover behind the remaing buffalo in the prone psoition, putting down fire with his Fn Minimi. His Sqaud leader leant around the cornor of the vechile and fire the 40mm grenade launcher of his G36.
"We need to get an air stike in, we need to get out of this quick, call in those A-10s" he ordered turning to the radio operator. the radio operator shouted a list of coordinates to the command section which in turn relayed them back to the A-10s. It seemed like hours before they arrived but must of only been minutes before the distant roar could be heard. Its started off gentley and quite but became louader and louader. Soon the two A-10s screamed over head and all that could be heard was the distinctive souand of thier 30mm Avenger gataling gun screaming and ripping up the ground. Davis squinted slightly as a wave of heat came from the Nepalm b the A-10s dropped, even at a distance the effects still could be felt. It was an awsome sight

20 seconds after the order was given two sling stone missiles left their launchers streaking towards the first Britian A-10.
On the reverses side of the hill the Mortar teams saw the launch and began laying down fire on the Great Britian APCs. 81 mm shells began raining down on the grid the TIF fire teams had all ready laid out. As fast as the first shell left the launcher another was dropped down the tube to be fired, raining destruction on the Britain soldiers.

The Second A-10 turned slightly fired on the mortor teams with his Avenger cannon and drop nepalm before he too was hit by a SAM.

The warriors continued to move quickly despite the incoming mortor fire. By the time the first shells hit they had already moved from that position. But one mortor managed to graze the last warrior and disable it. The warriors had to choice but to turn sharply off the IC-40 to avoid the fire. The other soldiers were no longer pinned dow thanks to the brave A-10 pilots, the buffalo moved off the road and the soldiers sprinted into a small but dense group of trees.

Van Luxemburgian UPEO Camp

A group of two armed guards calmly walked over the camp grounds, with their weapons shouldered. They ahd left their positions to report fighting further down the IC-40. So far, they could only hear it, and the guards thought they probably couldn't see that far in the distance. Therefore, they decided to report the fighting to Kristiansen, so he could decide what to do.

'Come in.'

As the two guards knocked on the opened door of the C3I module, now anchored into the ground, Kristiansen was quick to answer.

'Sir, we've heard fighting further down the IC-40. Maybe you should send out a few men to check what's going on.'

Kristiansen looked up from his laptop, which showed a map of the region, covered in all kinds of comments and remarks.

'Don't worry, I'll put a patrol on that one. You can take up your positions again. Please report everything you can hear by radio, OK?'

The soldiers saluted to the Colonel, and turned around before taking their rifles off their shoulder. Meanwhile, an assistant of Colonel Kristiansen sat down to the radio device in the Command Module, to radio a nearby patrol.

'Attention Patrol 36, this is Command. We've got reports of some fighting going on down the IC-40, could you go and check it out? Over.'

'Roger, Command, Patrol 36 on it's way.'

A few kilometres down the road, a set of three jeeps - two Eagle IV armoured reconaissance 4x4's and a Mercedes-Benz 290GD - sped up and the members of the patrol were already busy taking their rifles out of the designated storage spaces. Only inside the Mercedes-Benz people were busy with wholly other things. The vehicle was white instead of camouflaged like the other vehicles, and a large red cross was applied to the hood, aswell as the roof and sides of the vehicle. Inside it were several employess of the Van Luxemburgian Red Cross, and they were checking the contents of their First Aid packages, aswell as some more advanced equipment that could be used when treating wounds.

Several minutes later, the vehicles arrived at a spot where they could observe the fighting. One of the Eagles was a Marechaussee vehicle, and used all of his warning lights to show it was there, and so did the Mercedes-Benz, which was significantly smaller than the other two 4x4's. The occupants of all vehicles had gotten out, and were now observing the fight using binoculars, while the soldiers and the Marechaussees - MP's, basically - had their assault rifles carelessly draped around their bodies, with some having put down the rifles against the sides of the vehicle. Inside one of the vehicles, a soldier was contacting Command at the UPEO base.

'Command, this is Patrol 36. Confirmed fighting. Looks like Great Britian troops in an ambush, fighting against TIF troops. We will be observing, please advise, over.'

The message was abruptly answered by Command.

'Patrol 36, this is Command. Please observe. There's a set of Red Cross vehicles underway to your position, aswell as some reinforcements from 2nd Battalion. Only return fire when shot out, Over.'

'Confirmed, Command, Patrol 36 Out.'

Captain Freidman could feel the heat from the fires as he noticed Sargent Gram approach. "Sir half of the mortars have been taken out by that last attack."
"Very well have the remaining one keep up firing. we need those remaining APCs pinned down. Have those Monkeys in the rifle platoon cover our retreat. I do not want these sling stone launchers destroyed.
"Yes Sir, Gram moved 50 meters down the slope and found the leader of the TIF infantry unit. Corporal Manira get your men down the hill and engage the Britians at long range. You have those under barrel grenade launchers so use them. Remember you can do twice the damage with one fragmentation grenade then you can with a full clip so MOVE!"
Manira moved his twenty five men part way down the slope and begian firing on the Britians with grenades and wild automatic weapons fire.
Sargent Gram ordered the remaining mortars to fire on the moving warriors. He thought at the very least he would make them think twice about staying.

UPEO Improvised Observation Post

The soldiers and Red Cross employees were still using their binoculars to observe the fight, when the reinforecements arrived. A single SPz-9 and a VLT M5 truck represented 2nd Battalion, while a group of 3 trucks and another Mercedes-Benz 290GD were part of the Van Luxemburgian Red Cross. The Observation Post was now sprawling with activity, with all sorts of troops taking up positions to possibly fire warning shots, while the SPz-9 was slowly driving forwards, with several troops moving up behind it. The IFV halted a few hundred metres from the battlefield, with the soldiers steadily taking cover behind the sides and the back of the vehicle. A set of flags - both a Van Luxemburgian and a UPEO one - indicated the vehicles were neutral. At the Observation Post, the leader of Patrol 36, Lietenant en Premier (Lieutenant 1st Class) Dominik Ackermann, was mounting a loaded 40mm grenade launcher on his JK13 Assault rifle, and was readying the weapon to fire a single flare round over the battlefield. The round would give off a bright green light, to warn the soldiers on the battlefield to disperse.
As soon as the flare was catapulted away by the Grenade Launcher, Ackermann took a megaphone from his 2nd-in-command, and began speaking.

'Attention, this is the Universal Peace Enforcement Organization, UPEO. You are asked to disperse immediately. Your wounded will be treated by the Van Luxemburgian Red Cross. Cease fighting immediately. This is your first warning.'

Lietenant Ackermann waited a few minutes after he had fired the flare. 5 minutes later, the flare had vanished long since, and shooting had continued, without an answer from either side. Dominik was stunned by this. The Van Luxemburgian Military, fighting under the flag of a Peacekeeping Organization, was unable to stop Great Britian troops from fighting? This was ridiculous, he thought. He immediately returned to his vehicle - one of the Eagle IV 4x4's - and radioed Command again.

'Hubert, Dominik here. I've fired a flare right over their heads, but they don't seem to be reacting. What to do next?'

It took Colonel Kristiansen a while to either get to the radio equipment in the command module, or formulate an answer.

'Damnit. Your reinforcements have arrived, right? Let the IFV fire a round over the party's heads. That should be a strong warning to both of them. You are allowed to use force to stop them, if necessary. '

'Acknowledged, Out.'

Since Lieutenant Ackermann's Second in Command had been following the radio conversation, the IFV was already loading the first 35mm rounds into the feeder. Meanwhile, Lietenant Ackermann was shouting through his megaphone again.

'This is your last warning! Disperse immediately! The Van Luxemburgian Red Cross will take care of all killed and wounded, I repeat, Disperse at once! We are trying to keep the peace here! This is the UPEO, we are Peacekeeping troops! I repeat, Disperse at once!'

He held a small walkietalkie in his other hand, from where he could contact the IFV, to order it to fire the rounds. It was now waiting for answer from the Great Britians.

"CEASE FIRE! CEASE FIRE!!" Sargent Jones observed the TIF, they are falling back.

"Get those warriors out here! Move forward and take up positsion but dont start fireing, i know what they are up to. I dont want this turning into more of an international incident. Our Governmetn know they are providing insurgents with weapons to kill are pilots and they ar going to do something about it.

The Platton moved forward and took up posistions 10 meters away from the IC-40 as the warriors rolled up around them.

"Oh shit sir! Look at that!!" Shouted a private, the Artilary support had come. White Phosphorus was ranning down on evreyone in the immediate area of the fighting.

"Veryeone in theose warriors now!! I dont give a shit if thier only supposed to fit 8 in! Just means you'll have to be cramped. Move out!"

"Yes Sir, I am sure Major Kurita will be pleased with this operation."
" I am sure he will".

Sargent Gram walked over and began helping the last of the mortar teams load up on their ATV. "Cold bastard I think all Order officers have their souls removed as soon as they join. Sargent Peters the mortar teams Order trainer just nodded his head.

Improvised Observation Post

'Holy Shit.....'

Ackermann was whispering to himself, but he was doing it so loud most people standing close to him could hear it. What he saw was white phosphorus raining down on the battlefield, while an IFV of the Van Luxemburgian Army was standing close to it. He immediately got the walkietalkie back to his mouth and radioed the IFV.

'Retreat, damnit! Retreat, there's white phosporus raining everywhere! get your personnel back in that IFV and come back to the observation post! Now!'

'Acknowledged, Sir. Returning.'

The troops standing around the IFV immediately ran back into the vehicle, and closed the armoured rear entry door behind them. When the vehicle turned around to return to the Observation Post, it showed why the SPz-9 was so favoured by the Van Luxemburgian Army: The IFV accelerated firmly, and reached 70 km/h in a matter of seconds. Within a few minutes, the IFV had returned to the Observation Post, and was now overlooking a battlefield that was turning white with smoke steadily. Red Cross employees were looking at the smoke spreading like wildfire across the battlefield, where several wounded men would now probably be crippling of pain, because of the burns caused by the phosporus. Meanwhile, Ackermann was on the radio again with Colonel Kristiansen

'Command, we need water tankers, immediately! Lots of water! There's White Phosphorus raining down on this battlefield, and the Red Cross can't help any wounded without water, we haven't got enough on our own. This is urgent, damnit!'

'Patrol 36, we'll be sending two water tankers immediately. I'll also be reporting this to MoD. Hope they can file their protests. Command out.'

Red Cross Employees, escorted by soldiers from the 2nd Battalion were now entering the battlefield in their white NBC suits, in order to try to protect themselves from the White Phosphorous, but the rain of chemical agents now slowly halted. The Red Cross employees used water to treat the wounds on the battlefield, and were busy carrying away wounded soldiers from both sides, and load them into trucks were they would be temporarily treated until they could be transported to the UPEO base. Meanwhile, soldiers were walking over the battlefield in order to recover dangerous materials still left on the ground, and clear away all empty shell casings. Several vehicles were patrolling the former battlefield in order to transport the materials and the wounded back to the observation post, from where they would eventually be transported back to the main base.

Official Statement from the Van Luxemburgian Ministry of Defence
http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/time-zone/europe/european-union/luxembourg/images/Luxembourg-coat-arms.jpg

The Grand Duchy of Van Luxemburg severely condemns the use of chemical agents by The Holy Empire of The Great Britian. They have endangered the lives of many Great Britian Soldiers, Van Luxemburgian Military Personnel and Red Cross Enployees, aswell as TIF guerrillas. Van Luxemburg strongly opposes the use of chemical agents like White Phosphorous used in Trutica, and warns the Great Britian to abandon their use of these weapons on the battlefield. The Grand Duchy calls for a safe solution in order to destroy the stocks of White Phosphorous of Great Britian.

Freidman watched as the last of the ATVs sped away each taking a different route back into the hills. " Come along Sergeants we had better leave ourselves."
" Sir why did we just not leave with the others?" Responded Sargent Peters.
"Simple they have total air superiority and we don't. If anyone finds us we are just three lost Tarlagian travelers who got caught in a war zone." With that he ordered his men to dump most of their combat gear into a fast moving stream that was nearby.
" Now men it is the heel to toe express we just have to move away from the fighting and if anyone stops us we just put up our hand and yell thank God you found us."
"Sir, what if they attack the TIF?"
"Simple Sargent, those ATVs will out run the APCs and Their launchers are loaded so if more aircraft come after them then they can put up a fight."
With that statement he rubbed dirt on his face and cloths.
"Also if we run into the press remember the story."
"Sir that fire is getting kinda close we better leave."
"Right double time."

U]Official Response of The Holy Empire of the Great Britian[/U][/B]
The Holy Empire of The Great Britain stands by its decision to use the L77 Incendiary Anti-personnel shell, of which a main ingredient is White Phosphorus. The fact is that UPEO or red Cross members should of not entered the are in which Imperial Army troops Of the Second Battalion the Parachute regiment, 16 air assault regiment were ambushed by TIF guerrilla fighters without contacting Imperial Command to inform them of your intentions. You informed the troops of your presence when it was impossible for them to stop fighting as they had been pinned down by Small arms and Mortar fire and it was necessary for them to return fire. What i find most disturbing was that you where openly hostile to Imperial troops trying to aid the rightful government of Trutica.

We do not agree with your opinion that our troops, and Red Cross Employees aswell, shouldn't have entered the battlefield. In fact, they have not even entered the battlefield during the fighting, since they were at an Observation Post one kilometre away from the actual battlefield. We have clearly stated we are on a peacekeeping mission, and we have requested both parties to cease fire. This is not an impossible request, since we are asking both parties to cease firing. If the TIF had neglected our request, we would have warned them by firing warning shots. We treat each side equally.

Also, we haven't been openly hostile to your Imperial Troops. We have warned your troops in the same way as we did warn TIF troops, and requested both to disperse from the battlefield. Our orders were to keep the peace, and we have executed those orders. We have done no harm to anyone, and prevented further casualties and escalation of the fight.
Your casualties picked up from the battlefield are treated in the same way TIF casualties are treated.

This still doesn't render our original statement null and void. You have endangered people who were innocent, aswell as your own personnel. Plus, you would have let TIF personnel die in an unfair and painful manner. Van Luxemburg once again states their concerns about the use of White Phosphorous by The Holy Empire of The Great Britian and their Imperial Troops.

There is no "fair" way to die in war. Imperial troops reacted to defend themselves as best they could when they were ambushed by the TIF and a Forign military power operating illegally in someone elses country. Nobody you deem to be "innocent" was injured, as you say the Red Cross and your troops had been observing the fire fight one killometer away.

Van Luxemburgian UPEO Base

Along with several other officers, Lietenant Ackermann and Colonel Kristiansen were seated outside the command module, and were discussing the outcome of their last action.

'That didn't went without a hitch, if you ask me. It had a chance of developing into some kind of incident in which both the Great Britian and our nation would not be looking that good.'

Kristiansen put away the last few of his papers, and then replied.

'Correct. This isn't what we imagined. Now, I think neither of us is to blame, actually, since the TIF ambushed the GB troops. My proposal is that we only observe, and not intervene. We can't just start shooting in order to stop others from shooting.'

Ackermann, who had been listening to Kristiansen carefully, nodded.

'Yes. I agree. By the way, I thought you had requested helicopters?'

This time, it was Kristiansen's turn to nod.

'Yup. They should be in by today. We only need to screw the rotor blades on them in a correct way, but that should be easy, with those engineers around. Anyways, I think we should talk to the Great Britians. Don't they have a base a few kilometres down the IC-40?'

'Correct. Should I prepare a convoy?'

'Yes. Two Marechaussee 4x4's, two 4x4's from 2nd Battalion, and that's it. Oh, and my own vehicle, ofcourse.'

Several minutes later, the designated vehicles left the UPEO base. The Marechaussee vehicles were once again illuminated in blue lights, coming from the lightbars installe don the roof of the vehicles. They were driving on the front and the back of the column, while the two 4x4's from 2nd Battalion guarded the single 4x4 of Colonel Kristiansen and Lieutenant Ackermann. The vehicles drove at high average speeds, to prevent any possible attacks on the vehicles. Eventually, the small convoy arrived at the Great Britian base. The colonel and the lieutenant got out, on the lookout for the GB Commander.

'UPEO! We're looking for your commander, we need to speak to him!'

Interesting plan as long as the government does not think to buy food from
another country. You will be sitting in the mountains while the Government and their supporters are getting fat on imported food. Your best bet is turn the people against the current ruler. We have had one incident with the Brits we need more. We must make it appear that the Government and its allies are the bad guys. The bulldozer had cut out large chuncks of earth for the APCs to position themselves in, overlooking a slight downward slope with thier topside moutned weapons still able to get a good andgle to openfire. The front of the vechiles had been surroned by a wall of sanbags for marines to fall back to from thier primary position. The APC's carried 24 marines each, 8 of which operated the large guns and the remaning 16 from each to defend the position, meaning thier were 120 marines in all. The Field howitzers had been dug into psoitions in between the APCs, also portected by sandbag walls. The reaming marines from each APC had taken up postions in two trenchs cut into the steapist section of the slope, to give them a good defensive position.

The marines are universally amred with scoped M4 carbines with underslung M203 40mm grenade launchers. two from each squad had been armed with the formidable FN minimi or a GPMG as well as a few shoulder mounted weapons systems including Startstreak anti-air "Line of sight" guided missile.

The Air mobile artillary section had been air dropped into a large field and had set up thier 8 105mm guns and 4 MMPMs launchers. Thier supporting infantry where amred with the standard G36 and 40mm lancher as well has various SAW and LMGs. The section was protected from the AIr by Starstreak emplacments.

UPEO Base

Several trucks were parked around the open spot just outside the base, but still guarded by several MG nests. Engineers were cleaning up the last of the packaging, and looked at the result of a hard days' work. They had screwed the rotorblades on each of the 9 helicopters correctly, and were proud of the result. The helicopters had all performed the first flight testing after they had mounted the rotor blades, the only parts that had to be put on the helicopter after the shipment from Van Luxemburg to Trutica.

'That should be the last few bolts.' One of the engineers shouted to the pilot, who was doing the last pre-flight checks.

'Then we should try it on. One moment.'
The Pilot finished his last checks in a few minutes, and then got into the cockpit of the two-seater Tigre VLM Attack Helicopter, closed the hatch, pushed a few buttons, and started the engine. It came to life with a typical high swooshing sound, while the rotor blades began picking up speed. The last ground-based crewmembers ran away from the take-off site, and the Tigre slowly lifted off. The pilot gave a thumbs-up to the engineers, who were congratulating themselves at another succesful job.

'Okay, Well done all. Diamond Prince, this is Command. You will be joined by Saviour 11 for a patrol across the region. You have been loaded with full loadout, only use it when being fired upon. Remember, Saviour 11 is a Military Red Cross Helicopter.'

'Roger. Evac, come in please. I repeat, Saviour 11, come in please.'

'This is Saviour 11. Evac is taking off and ready.'

Across the small improvised airfield, an NH-90, with it's underbelly and sides covered in white squares and red crosses placed inside them, took off in the same manner Diamond Prince, the Tigre VLM, did. However, the medevac slowly made a fly-over past the camp, before joining the Tigre helicopter.

(OOC: I'm not entirely sure what climate and what geographical situation I'm operating in. I'm assuming I'm working in a hilly landscape, with forests and some agriculture. If it isn't that way, please correct me.)

The helicopters were flying low over the ground, and used forests as cover to protect themselves from possible attacks. It was remarkably quiet on the ground, and there weren't that much people around. Only in villages some people walked around, and watched the helicopters fly by.

'Remarkably quiet, isn't it?' A radio communication from Saviour 11.

'It is, Evac. Maybe a bit too calm?' A reply from Diamond Prince.

'Could well be, Prince. But for now... Sun up in the sky, no wind, calm weather. Great. Maybe....' Saviour 11 couldn't finish his sentence, as Diamond Prince suddenly interrupted him

'Holy... what's happening to our left?'

Left of the helicopters, around 2 kilometres away, pillars of smoke rose above the treetops, with explosions sounding at a distance.

'Command, this is Flight 2. We're going to investigate smoke and explosions on the coordinates that should've just reached you.'

'Acknowledged, Flight 2. We'll send up additional helicopters into the air, if you need them.'

'Roger, Command. Diamond Prince out.'

The two helicopters banked sharply to their left, and kept flying around 30 metres above the ground, evading treetops. The pilots had no time to check out the environment they were flying in, as they had to use all their concentration to fly the two helicopters past all kinds of trees on their path.
Finally, the two helicopters slowly rose over the last forest, and quickly accelerated, making a quick fly-over.

'Another day, another battlefield. It really never stops.' The pilot of the Tigre muttered, as the helicopter shot past the battlefield, narrowly evading pillars of smoke rising from the ground. He turned his helicopter around quickly, and checked if Saviour 11 followed him, before flying over a slope, which apparently contained troops dug into the ground, and several APC's protected by sandbags.

'Command, this is Diamond Prince. We've reached our positions. It seems someone is mounting an artillery attack against something what looks like TIF positions.'

'Diamond Prince, define 'someone', please.'

'Command, those certainly aren't Truticans. Looks more like Great Britians to me.'

'Damnit. They're using artillery against TIF positions? Please verify, over.'

'Verified. I doubt they are using those emplacements for training purposes. Unless they're live fire exercises, ofcourse.'

'I'll ask. Diamond Prince out.'

The pilot of the Tigre pushed a button, which meant the next communication would be sent over all channels.

'Attention, Great Britian troops. This is Flight 2, UPEO Peacekeeping forces. Could you please announce to us what you're doing? Live Fire Exercises? Flight 2 Out.'

The Marines had been slightly concerned about the two helicopters close to thier position until it was revield who they were. Captain Haris picked up the reciver on the radio to reply to the message.

"This is Captain Haris of the 13th Imperial Marine Commando Battalion. We are engaging legitamet and varified military targets in TIF controlled areas. It is of no concern to you"

Captain Haris instructed his men to continue to fire, but they were running low on shells.

"Flight 2 please clear the Air space as CH-53's are inbound"
