Mathews Class Destroyer

The Mathews Class Destroyer was built initially as a concept ship to test new technologies and equipment, but it performed so well in its first series of sea trials and war games that its designation changed From CS-102 to DSR-102 Mathews Class destroyer IPN Mathews. To Date Four Have been built including the Mathews.
The class and ship name was taken From the Current lord supervisor of industries Paul Mathews; He was one of the main designers of the ship.

[[ Speaking OOC: Destroyers are traditionally designed for hunting submarines and providing support on the outer edges of battlegroups and convoys, not for launching ballistic missiles, providing naval artillery support, or generally taking on missions that a larger vessel could engage in far more efficiently.

My personal comment on this design is to reform it more with an eye towards covering those missions that might be demeaning, inadequate, or just overkill to send a heavier unit (i.e. cruiser, battlecruiser, carrier, helicopter assault vessel, etc.) on. I have doubts about other nations purchasing something with such obvious limitations, hence why I make these remarks. ]]

OOC: You can get a Burke for less than $1 billion, and they're decent by NS standards.

You can't even buy a decent fighter plane for $30 million though.

OOC: Too thick of armor, too many guns for its size, too fast for its engine power, too cheap.

Also, Ballistic Missiles are fucking huge unless you mean a late model Scud.

Call it a light subjugation cruiser.

ooc: He could make that change easily, just by ripping out those icbm launchers and putting standard vls's in their place..

Who puts icbm's on a 12kt surface warship, anyhow? *sure as heck does not*

OOC: Another solution is that you buy 500 of them, and then you rip out the launchers yourself and insert the VLS in them, and rape him for the overly cheap equipment ;)

The FreeAngola Defence Ministry wishes to buy 15 of those ships for trials on our country,if they prove to be reliable we will buy their production rights,and since we are a new country our funds have to come from our Law&Order budget
