The largest armada ever assembled in Tidani history moved silently onward having traveled nearly half way across the Aphotic Galaxy. They were tired, they were weary, but hope was in sight. The nation-fleet was in unclaimed space for the first time since leaving the Milky Way behind, and had finally come to the edge of the space they had chosen for their new home.

Kerain I stood on the observation deck overlooking the main bridge of the Tidani Command ship, Gallant. Below the crew went about their business quietly. It had been a long time since they had left Kharik, and in that time the crews that had been scavenged from all walks of life to operate the derelict ships of the Tidan Navy had become quite competent. They were not trained sailors by any mark, but they had done all that was asked of them with devotion and great aptitude for their new work. It was on the shoulders of their performance that the lives of the entire nation rested, and they had exceeded all expectations.

An advisor walked up to the king and bowed respectfully. “Sire, I have just been informed that we have now entered our claimed territory.”

The King smiled. “Excellent. I will make an announcement to the fleet. Calculate and set a direct course for the new homeworld, and inform Yukatania that we have arrived and will now be operating in the area.”

“Yes Sire.”

Governing body of the Yukatan Colonies, this is the nation-fleet of Tidan advising we have arrived in the Dawn Sector and are beginning resettlement operations. Please inform your naval commanders we are now active in this sector. We would also like to ensure we are still capable of purchasing supplies until our industry is back up and running.

Much time had passed while the great ship that had carried them from earth to Kharik and now from Kharik to this world went about its business in orbit. To construct a world from scratch was no small feat, yet one which this ship had been constructed to do. Its massive bulk was not excessive or wasted but crafted with purpose. Its powerful sensors mapped the planet and then sections were deployed, burning through the atmosphere they spread like seeds being sowed on fertile ground. They landed as softly as could be expected along side gentle rivers, in peaceful valleys, among vast plains, and on the shores of endless oceans. Each contained what was needed for a city core and from each seed would sprout a city that together would change this world from a primative eden to a galactic kingdom.

But as was said, much time had passed. This still world had been transformed, blessed with the gift of sentient life and chance to become more than it was. To be called Tidan among its peers.

Navguard, Capital city of New Tidan

The two men walked slowly through the hallways of the Temple of Nav. A third approached and bowed before them.

"Father Kygn, Father Taal. I have come as you asked. How can a humble servent of Nav be of use to the Patriarchs?"

The two Fathers were covered by elegant light blue, white, and golden robes. Now Father Kygn lowered his hood to speak to the younger man. "Brother Celric, we are happy to see you have returned safely from Nova. You may rise."

Father Taal also lowered his hood. "You handled yourself very well witht he Novaens Celric, the Shield is most impressed. You may follow us now."

The three moved deeper into the temple for some time. They spoke of the changes coming over the planet over the months. With the help of the Inferno of No Endorse the Tidani fleets were being crewed with trained and experienced sailors. As the humans of Tidan vastly outnumbered the slowly reproducing hyren, simply filling the ships left behind in the Tidani Navy was no problem, until now finding trained crews had been another story. The cities created from the massive colonyship had settled in now and were thriving centers of commerce and industry.

The men travelled into the lowest floor of the temple and here Celric paused. Kygn and Taal stopped and turned to see what was wrong. Celric began to look a little frantic. His panic could not find a way to express itself until finally he threw himself to one knee and covered his face with his arms. "I am not permitted here Fathers, this is a holy place."

Taal moved towards him and put a hand on Celric's shoulder. "We would not have brought you somewhere to face judgement for obeying. Come we have something to show you."

On one of the highest peaks on the planet Kadus Starfall walked through the refugee capital of Hyr. This beautiful city carved out of the rock was the new home of the surviving hyren of Tidan. Here the avian race sought to resurect itself.

It was a bittersweet sight for the Admiral and now highest ranking survivor. The trajedy of what had happened combined with the hope and strength of his people for the future they would have to work so hard to build.

Things were very busy since the system was inhabitted. Feeling very insecure due to the recent events in their history the Tidani had set about creating a fortress system they could feel safe living behind.

Mobile factories, mines, and detection networks had been deployed throughout the intra and extra-solar fields. Major detection stations were constructed on all of the major bodies in the system and smaller autonomous versions were being scattered mostly though the belts but also spanning the dead space between bodies and belts. Eventually a massive and overlapping network was created over the entire system all linking back to New Tidan where they were connected to the Federation FEDBED system.

With New Tidan being the only populated world in the system it was given very special attention. The strongest generators they could obtain were set up to project several layers of protective shielding around the planet. A FTLi field generator was assembled to project a field about 3 light hours further than the extent of the oort cloud. Millions of sattelites with dozens of functions were seeded into orbit. They ranged in purpose and size from large factories to small point defense turrets, from massive assault fortresses to communications networks, some were even decoys giving off extremely high phantom energy readings to draw fire in a battle.

On the ground Tidan's Iceburg ion cannons were salted around the oceans and ground based varients were placed on the continents. Further artillery bases were constructed to create another layer of point defense and offensive power.

Now work began on a truely massive project. When designing New Tidan's star ports, docking stations, repair facilities, space elevators, and further defenses the engineers came up with a design to combine all of these into an orbital ring connected to the planet by the space elevators. For this job bodies of sufficient size were pulled out of the belts and cloud into high orbit where the two large shipyards and factories began converting the raw metals into the segments of the ring.
