The Buklias News Network: We don't report the news...we create it!

From the Capital City of Carbor: National Dictator Brin Verago arrived yesterday from his extended weekend vacationing at an undisclosed location in the Vendin Mountains. His emotional state was less than favorable after receiving updates from his National Police Chief of the raging strikes going on in the 3rd Commercial District of Carbor. The strikes have been continually bloody and merciless as enraged strikers demand better compensation and a redraft of their corporate constitution, which Dictator Verago has countered with a resounding no. Here is what he had to say about the state of the Commercial District:

"The 3rd District has always produced for us and it's export status has always been favorable. My trusted cabinet has informed me that the Commercial Guild Directors will NOT give in to what can only be described as 'terroristic demands' and their unrelenting rage is costing the lives of many. We plead to the strikers to end this bloodshed, come to the table and we can resolve this peacefully".

Meanwhile, in Commercial Districts 12 and 18, the CGD's have expressed concern over the stalemate of 3rd District's strike and they fear it may spread. Some lower eschelon employees have been interviewed and overall, they're thoughts completely contradict what Dictator Verago and the CGDs have stated. There are theories that this is being blown way out of proportion to gain favor with neighboring countries to help fund a 'witch hunt', to weed out the problem people. Resistance is at an all time high in Carbor, with many commoners fleeing to the Vendin Mountains to set up 'peace retreats', but to the National Police Chief, they are being viewed as outposts for more terrorist uprisings.

Lina St. Ocre, Deputy Director of Commercial Affairs has stated that second rate dealers of goods and services are turning to importing rather than accepting goods from it's own country. Since Carbor has the nation's highest concentration of commercial industry, the capital alone can keep the country out of foreign debt, which as of this date, is nearly 100 billion BD less than last year. Economists nationwide are predicting that within 3 years, Buklias could consider itself debt free, which Dictator Verago is counting on.

Plans are in the works to build up recruitment centers and the starting of a 50 million BD advertising guild would help bolster support for the aging guilds of the Buklias nation.
