This game takes place in what is supposed to be medieval Europe, it starts around 1010, and ends shortly after WWII; of course since this is going to be a totally remade history of Europe, for all I know WWII may not take place until 2065 or something. It is all up to us and the action we take. You may claim two European nations (on a modern map) and that will be your original empire. Since it starts so early, most of the action will take place in Europe for the first several hundred years. Every week is 10 years on this thread. All populations will be RL according to the time period. The economy~Trade and such~will be dealt with on another thread, as will wars and peace confrences.

Sure, because the way I want to do it, Russia won't be as large as it is. I intend to expand its' territories only a little past the Ural Mountains.

Yes, it starts before the rise of Europe as a world influence and the history of Europe is totally dependent on our actions, WWII may never happen or it may happen before 1939, or much later. The crusades may never occur, and so on and so forth. It is how we make it.

So. Why do you want to end this after World War II? It could be fun to last a long time.

Yes that is right. But you must be careful, if you get tangled in too many alliances a minor border scermish may turn into a general european conflagration! The guns of august may very well fire early if you don't play smart.

I seriously doubt anyone would have the money or manpower to finance a war on that scale that early, I mean Europe is still in the fuedal era when this thing starts. Don't worry, you'll be fine unless russia is defeated by some barbarian horde or another.

Of course, their is no room for progress without a domestic struggle or two. I would actually encourage a civil war or two just to show everyone that this is realistic. We may even witness the collapse of an empire or kingdom. You never know.

You decide, there will be regulations however, you cannot RP you empire collapsing and then suddenly reappearing just as powerful as you were before; that takes time. If your empire were to collapse, you could RP a few of the scattered provinces or weak nations that may or may not appear, but be warned that your territory is subject to conquest if you collapse and your defence fails. BUT, if your nation is conquered, you can still RP its people, conquered peoples hardly ever let their occupiers go to bed easy, make life a living hell for the conquerors and you may get your country back.

Yes, that is fine, I think maybe two more members and we should be ready to start. Reserved are the Scandinavian lands, Italy and the Balkans. The Iberian peninsula is free game. Hows that?

Around the time Europeans begin to start expanding, the game will go through a momentary pause and lands will be given out to people to play the African Kingdoms and the Asian and MiddleEastern Empires, but for now those areas are dark spots, unexplored except for parts of north africa. The game is forcused primarily, for now, on Europe. But sure, people can claim middle eastern countries, and such, that way the world comes together that much faster.
