<This RP is closed ICly but you may leave comments, and please do. This is about the Nerotikan Civil war's largest battle, the battle of Juno Island. Below is a history brief and after that begins the RP>

Soldiers lined in the streets marching for their great leader. This was the age of the empire, the age of the "Great Nerotikan Rule.". The Trotsky family stood above all as god like figures over this land of regular peons. These soldiers would be the tools for the imperial greatness against the Achenian threat.

Achen, a nation in south western Nerotika, was never truly a part of Nerotika. It had always kept its independance sence the Imperial-Achenian war that left Achen a child feeding off the empire. Up until recent Achen had no reason to revolt, they had economic power and military. The empire had allowed Achen all the perks of being a seperate nation but they had finally decided the ties to the empire had to be broken. Achen's original attempt at revolution came in 1957 when twentythree achenians soldiers stormed the imperial embassy and began to kill everyone inside, the incident was halted and all achenians inside the building were terminated on sight without question. Though that would throw any nation into war the empire did not gather the information to link those men to the achenian military ranks and the achenian officials did not claim any responsibility.

Once again an attempt was made in 1959 when achenian soldiers mobilized large numbers toward the imperial borders, this was stopped due to the revolution already started by Ralin Paul inside the imperial court. Ralin Paul was in power for half a year before being killed by Pyschotikan assasins to give Trotsky the throne back. The Achenians found 1960 the perfect time to begin what they had set out to do, conquest of the entire Nerotikan land. The Achenians began to mobilize once again and marched toward the border of the empire. Once there they crossed over and were met with such a force it was a surprise to all of Achen and even the empire's population. The Achenian army met hundreds of thousands of troops which immediatly pushed the Achenians back leaving thousands dead withing only 2 months of fighting. The empire was proving it had power and it would use it when needed. The imperial troops did what they were trained best for, urban conflict, and fought in cities with no trouble clearing them easily.

As the Imperial troops proved a strong enemy to the Achenians they were able to comeback in 1962 after over 17,000 casualties on their side from 1 year of major fighting and only 3,000 on the imperial side. With a standing army of 1,200,000 the Achenians would use up all their resources fighting the empire and 1962 was the year they would do so. With over 700 bombing runs foiled and most of the air force distroyed along with three failed operations against the imperial troops the Achenian army would have to surrender if the fight continued as such. It was in December 1962 that Achen did so. A conditional surrender that left Achen as solely responsible for the war and all the damages made, in exchange for the soverinty of their lands. This was accepted by the empire but before the pin hit the paper the largest operation of the war began and tossed the empire into an official civil war.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Operation Red Flare
Started by 400,000 Tabithian guards which had pleaged loyalty to the Achenian cause. The Tabithian guards were knowen at the most highly trained military infantry in the entire imperial army and the loss of 400,000 would cause uproar throughout the empire. These 400,000 began to fight all across the desert of nerotika and with more training and better adaption to the desert life the Tabithians held off the imperial advances.

The next move was made in northwest Nerotika where 120,000 revolutionaries had banded together and began attacking imperial military bases and forts all across the area. The imperial army responded by sending its so called "Super soilders" or elite guard into the area to eliminate this threat. The revolutionaries were beaten back but not distroyed and it was expected that thousands of unaccounted revolutionaries had dropped their weapons and went back to regular life.

After that came the uprising in Juno. This would be the most catastrophic attack in imperial history leaving the island of Juno a burning crater of dead bodies, downed planes and bullet casings. It had begun after the first two parts of the operation had, in Febuary 1963. The fight for this island was historically called the end of the civil war as when the battle cleared the war was declared over. Over 63,000 imperial soldiers died here and well over that from the enemy forces which comprised of 320,000 of the Tabithian Guards, 20,000 Rebel soldiers and 43,000 Achenian soldiers. This island, though small, became the center of the war, though battles happened after it the Achenian Government had offically given up all of the Achenian territories after this battle.

Waters outside the border of Juno Island

The boats serged back and forth as the waves pushed it making the men onboard sick of the motion. Everywave allowed the men to look out and see the island, above them planes roared across the sky dropping bombs all over the island as anti-aircraft fire come from below. Explosions were the only sound that could be heard and that was enough to send the strongest man into a fearful state.

Seventy boats lined the waters nearing the shoreline where they would drop their hatchs and the soldiers would pile out onto the beachs to begin the ground war. Everyone thought they would be walking onto a dead island, after seeing how many bombs were dropped it would be a wonder that they island even still exsisted but that thought was pushed away as the boats slammed into the shore. The hatchs opened to a dead silence, the bombs had stopped and there was no longer any anti-aircraft fire, everything was calm all of a sudden. Nothingness exsisted all around, toppled tree's and burnt out buildings lined the area before the troops and so they began to lighten up. Everyone was beginning to calm down, no more fear when the silence was broken by a single machine gun. The weapon tore through the soldiers as they were lighting ciggerettes and talking, the gun left men almost cut in half and others just bleeding to death. The gun was followed by another, they were both placed on a tall ridge where a burnt out half distroyed building sat overlooking the entire beachline where the men were now stuck. The boats had almost begun leaving them but had luckly not recieved the orders. The gunners on the boats opened up and returned fire only to recieve mortar fire from the nearby village. The mortars exploded all across the beach forcing the soldiers to scramble and run from a basically invisible enemy.

As they begun to think the worse was occuring it began to get worse, infantry had begun to advance on them. They got the first taste when 23 soldiers ran out from the wreckage of a forest to a beach clearing to take cover and open fire from close range. The imperial soldiers were no match it seemed and this invasionary force of 14,000 would not stand a chance without any air support which had been exahusted.

-Added-

For three hours the men ran and returned fire to whatever they saw. Muzzleblasts were the only indication there was an enemy out there and so thats what they shot at. The worse of it was that this invasionary force composed mainly of unused soldiers (Men that had no seen action) and so every few feet a tramatized soldier would be sitting, rocking back and forth crying. Screams from all around joined the gunfire as the boats recieved the pull back order and left the men alone on that beach. They were forced to advance on the enemy which was firing at them from every position imaginable, it even seemed bullets were comming from the waters themselfs. The men charged up the hill yelling and firing their weapons only to recieve a bullet in return. They had reached a large field of downed trees and burning plains within the three hours they had been fighting and had not advanced any further on that side. With no expectation of reinforcments or any air support they believed this was the end, except the high command had other plans.

As another hour rolled by slowly leaving hundreds more dead the roar of cannons from the sea gave the men confidence. Artillary from nearby battleships had begun firing only 20 yards from the furthest advancment and it was ripping the enemy lines apart. The enemy was braking formations to run right into imperial fire and so the soldiers began to fire at them as though they were target practice. The gunners on the hill were still fireing their MG's when a single artillary shell landed a perfect hit blowing the building into pieces and sending one gunner, from what the imperial soldiers could see, flying into the air only to fall to the ground below with a loud thump that could even be heard over the gunfire and explosions by nearby soldiers.

[From here I will be posting 1st person views from a single Imperial soldier, rebel soldier, Achenian Soldier, Tabithian Guard and an imperial pilot]

Pvt. Victor Yashmir
Nerotika Imperial Soldier
4/13/63

I stood on that beach for so long, it was over by my mind cound not stop projecting those images infront of my eyes. My friends, my comrads, everyone was dead, I was alone. Charlie Company was wiped out and I was the sole survivor, the new commanding officer at my Private rank. Blood was thick, the beach was a literal river, and everystep felt like glue. The souless shells lay across the entire beach and well up toward the forest, so many killed and all before my younge eyes.

I am 16, drafted into the military when the war erupted. Placed in this operation by a fault in the system, I was probably the only 16 year old in these boats. So much hell, but I was trained and I held that weapon.

The first day had past and I just cant believe how many died, now the second days sets in and all is quite. We believe the enemy put all their effort in that defense and now that dont have anything left.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

A door two rooms down was kicked open and screams in the native Tabithian language gave a frightening scare to everyone. Victor turned to look at his door and threw the paper and pensil to the ground. As he reached for his weapon two men appeared in the window of the door, one reared back and his foot connected to the door sending it off the hindges. Victor dived to his gun and rose it up to the surpirsed soldiers. He fired of a volly of bullets from his small SMG they all connected at that very close range sending the two men backwards, dead.

The other soldiers had heard the gunfire and suddenly the temporary warning alarm would be put to use as it began to blare and the soldiers all awoke and began taking positions to fight this menace. Victor left his room, stepping over the bodies, and turn to the right of his hallway where the Tabithian soldiers were turned ready to engage him. Gunfire lit up the hallway and Victor had fired several shots before the enemy bullets when flying.

Suddenly it stopped as the Tabithians each reloaded at the same time. Victor turned the corner again and began to fire at the men sending them dead like dominos. Rain began to pour down through the burnt and distroyed roofs of the village. Victor ran down the hall and turned to the first left to see the commanding officer of Alpha Company laying slumped off his bed beaten bloody with his neck broken.
