Hello, I have an idea. Yet again. If there was an international movie festival thread with nations competing for better movies would it last?

The rules would be if I make it:

State the plot
character descriptions
setting
time period and theme
special effects
kind of movie (toon, CGI, anime, normal movie shot with real actors mix of at least two of the others)

cool though there could be a problem, what if the nation is Anime, like me?

Ummm...if the simpsons can watch cartoons then anime can watch anime. :p

lol okay then, so I could still proclaim some films to be "live action?" even though they are anime (call it "Live Anime")

sounds good :p Did you see my anime thread called the "Princess of Dead Birds" yet? I need someone knowledgeable in anime to help me with the story. You can join the story if you like.

Movie festival is a good idea, certainly offers distraction from the never-ending wars of the world. I don't think you're the first to try the idea, but I haven't seen one in a while. I'm sure The Charr's fledgling cinema industry would have a crack at it, even though the entire concept is new to them.

What do you mean, 'is' Anime? Like, two-dimensional cartoon characters walking around, flapping in the wind?

Anime or Japananime is a stylistic cartoon mostly native to Japan. Characterized by incredible plots, big eyes, tiny noses, and a much wider appeal of older audiences.

see my NSwiki page it's loaded with anime pics http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Kanami

Oh , I know what anime is I'm just trying to figure out what you mean when you say that your nation 'is' anime. I take it that you mean in terms of style and characters, rather than actually being drawn... (you never know in this place!)

My people are normal however I draw them in anime because you can imagine what the people would or things would look like in real life just by looking at them in anime.

The problem with International film festivalls so far is that they hadn't finished.

Kelse ran The MFFF (Montreal Foreign Film Festival)
The Great Monty Python ran the PIFF (Piemon International Film Festival)

And both had not finished before their hosts disappeared. Kelse disappeared before a single award was given and TGMP disappeared after.

While I am happy at another oppurtunity at a film festival, I'm weary.

Anyway, when I find the Sign-up thread count me in with a few films
