Law Enforcement
Police Force - the day to day law enforcement is conducted by the police force. Royal Storm Troopers - The Standard Foot solder of the Defence Forces, well trained, well equipped and fiercely loyal. These are your bread and butter soldiers on the front lines. Trained to operate on land and at sea like Marines. Including Armoured Divisions, Artilery, Armoured Cavalry and Airborne

Royal Commandos - The Most Elite troops from the Storm troopers are chosen for the Royal Commandos. This elite regiment has only some 53,000 men but are the best soldiers in the nation.

Animarnia Special Air Service - The ASAS are the best of the best; applicants require at least 2 years service in the Royal Commandos and even then there is a 90% Failure rate for applicants. The ASAS are the most elite in the entire nation only numbering 1000 men tops. Making each one irreplaceable and worth over 30 standard combat troops.

The Royal Animarnia Navy is only a medium sized force and consists of a number of military Capital ships with the emphasis of the navy being mostly dedicated to green water protection. However the Royal Navy does have a full compliment of Support ships such as tugs, munitions and fuel ships with expansion into blue water power projection coming in future years. The Navy is split into several "fleets" or 'strike groups'; and patrol groups. A strike group can be mobilised and fully armed within 24 hours of an order being given to deploy. All Ships bear the HMS prefix, as it is her/her Majesties Ships

The Royal Animarnia Airforce (RAFF) is a very modern fighting unit operating a range of Air superiority fighters, Fighter-Bombers, long Range bombers and transport craft and support aircraft. The RAAF has recently undergone a mass modernisation with older craft put into mothballs in favour of newer aircraft such as the Mig-29 and the Su-30MKI but can easily be re-activated in a time of war if required and are usually kept on a one month activation standby

One thousand years ago, the God Odin came and blessed the land of Animarnia with prosperity and strength in return the Animarnians had to worship him and all those of his family. At any one time across the nation a 1000 priests are praying to Odin in hundreds of temples to show their devotion. Animarnia has a ritual and a God or Goddess for everything believing mostly in the old pagan gods and goddesses. However there is a 2% Christian and 1% Muslim population. Religion isn't dictated but most people end up choosing paganism or Buddhism

'North pole' Research base today began a secret project. North pole is the code named for Animarnia's most secret R&D Facility located at an 'undisclosed location'. The exact nature of the research is sketchy but it is believed to be genetic in nature pertaining to artificially woven spider silk or some kind of new organic alloy. Animarnia will be dedicating some 40% of its research budget to the project over the next 10 years; even though its not likely to see any returns for at least 3 years more likely 5. Another 40% will go into the development of 'carbon nanotubes'

Project Overview
The purpose of this project is to create Organic Carbon Nanotubes constructed of artificially engineered Spider silk. Engineering a spider silk gland to various creatures to attempt to get the best results it will create the Spider silk. Attempts to cross engineer a 'super spider' or implant it into other creatures such as a goat, silk worm, hagfish or other mammals so that this can be used on an industrial scale.

The engineered gland and spinneret will create gradient of protein concentration, pH, and pressure, which will drive the protein solution through liquid crystalline phase transitions, ultimately generating the required silk structure the actually silk structure is a mixture of crystalline and amorphous biopolymer. Reproducing the actual protein has been proven possible seven years ago; however engineering a spinneret has proven more difficult and due to lack of funding research was shelved. This is what we now hope to continue with modern advances in nanotechnolgy we believe it possible to now engineer an artificial spinneret into the gland. Woven together like fabric this will be incredibly strong and flexible similar to 'myrhril' of the fantasy genre. However if woven into nanotubeual like structures it is possible to create a spider silk plate which we believe could be 23 x stronger than base steel and have a melting point of roughly 7000 Kelvin but still retain a very light weight perhaps less than aluminium. If successful Animarnia will have cornered a new market in 'silk steel alloys'

Cost
The Project will take 5% from the Defence Budget; 5% from Health care Budget, 2% from Law and Order, and 80% from the Research and Development Budget coming to a total of $29.8 Billion of Funding Per Year for the next 10 Years. A total of 298 billion will have been spent on Project K when it is estimated to be complete and developed to a viable product. However estimates put the project entering experimental production in 5 years.

Abstract
Built by Animarnia Aerospace Engineering the Quicksilver is a 3 stage beyond visual range Sea Skimming anti shipping missiles that can be launched from land installations, aircraft or ships/submarines via quad launchers or Vertical launch tubes. The Quicksilver is fast, mobile and deadly. Using the latest technology available to AAE to provide one of the premiers anti shipping missiles the world has ever seen. Taking inspiration from the American Harpoon and French Exocette

Engine
The Engine on the Quicksilver is a 3-stage system; upon launch a solid rocket motor propels the missile at speeds of mach 1.5 towards its target. Midway to target the primary stage is dropped and a second solid rocket is activated on high burn increasing velocity up to mach 5. Upon reaching the terminal stage (800/500m) the second stage is dropped for an Air breathing ramjet that pushes the velocity of the missile up to mach 8. These increases in acceleration overcome modern CIWS systems as the missile dives towards the ship waterline. The engine is actually thrust vectored to allow for maximum agility in avoiding CIWS systems including Goalkeeper and micro missile interceptor pods.

Guidance:
The Quicksilver can be guided several ways either via Global positioning (GPS), Inertial guidance with infrared terminal guidance, StrikeNet or other battlefield integration and monitoring system or Active Seeker Radar. The Quick silver has provisions for all of the above. Creating an almost unjamable missile unless the target is jamming all of the systems in operation.

Upon launch the Quick silver takes on a sea skimming cruise ability and mid guidance radar lock maintained by the Radar Altimeter. With secondary inertial guidance with GPS system activated incase of radar jamming allowing the missile to go into fire and forget mode homing on the target that was last fed to it by the launching system. This secondary system can be activated upon firing by the launcher putting the missile straight into fire and forget mode. Upon reaching terminal phase the missile is guided by a combination of Infrared and Active Radar seeker terminal guidance. All round this allows for a very accurate if somewhat expensive missile with a range of over 150 miles

The missile also comes with provisions for StrikeNet; Animarnia's own custom Battlefield recreation, Integration and Management system (BRIMS); this allows units to relay guidance information from one unit to another then to the missile for maximum accuracy and support. Though this system is not implemented in the export model provisions remain for a nation to install their own system this also allows missiles to talk to each other to co-ordinate attacks on there target for maximum damage.

Airframe
The Missile Airframe is constructed from Carbon fibreglass and plastic giving a very durable but light frame; the wings prior to launch are folded into the frame to allow the frame to be launched for a variety of launching platforms. Including 4 Cell missile turrets or VLS Tubes, the missile can be launched from aircraft like the Soviet Mig-31, JAS-39 Grippen or American F/A-18 or bombers like the B-52 or Tu-22 backfire. The missile can also be launched for land coastal batteries giving the missile an offensive or defensive capability.

Warhead
The actual warhead is a shaped charge with a delayed squash fuse that upon detonation propels depleted uranium Tungsten composite penitrator for maximum damage and spurring the warhead is also packed with ballbarings that are expelled with the penitrator at high velocity to increase secondary damage in the impact area.

Even if the penitrator doesn’t break the armour the high velocity and spurring will cause a lot of damage to the outer armour softening it up for further strikes and causing secondary damage to other ships systems.

While we are indeed Weary of the Kazakhstan invasion however if you are as you say removing a terrorist government though heaven knows there are far more effecent ways than a full scale invasion; you will not object to Animarnian Peacekeepers entering into Kazakhstan to safeguard civilians and set up safe areas for refugees displaced by the fighting.

We Only wish to guard Civilian life; and our peacekeepers will come home once the fighting has stopped whichever side comes out victorious and the Reconstruction process has begun. we have no desire or need to place our soldiers in harms way permenently.

We Too wish to remain friends with our good neighbours the UR; on the matter of the Kazakh occupation we ramain nuetral though the occupation does make us weary we will not denounce or aplaud your efforts publically; we simply wish to aliviate as much suffering as we can of civilians in the conflict; as I'm sure you will agree civilians are not responceable for the acts of there governement. our peacekeepers arriving in the region will remain on a strick fire if fired upon rule of engagment and only return fire if engaged or if they witness the genocide of civilians. We will be setting up a safezoen in the city of Almaty and ask that your forces avoid firing on or entering the city.

While we deep the full invasion of a sorvign nation as somewhat excessive as thusfar we have not seen any evidence to justifiy an attack on this scale we belive the situation can be solved through passive diplmomacy rather than military brute force. we even offer the nation of Animarnia as neutral ground for the two side to come together in peace and discuse the matter as the civillised nations both of you claim to be. we ask the UR to offer an imidiate ceasefire and equally we will ask the Kazakh Government to cease fire.

This is sad to hear and I fear foolhardy of the UR government; peace cannot be enforced through the barrel of the gun and though you may defeat the Kazakh armed forces you will surely cause an insurgency that will ultimately cost more lives; both yours and Kazakh alike. countless blood will be spilled. further more it would not look good for the UR in terms of world opinion and the UR may even suffer punative sanctions; not a threat merely a point that may occur from Brazil and its allies. this anexation could hurt the UR more in the long run than it has to gain.

The UR has shown it is not to be trifeled with; demonstrated its strength to the Kazakh governent not to atagonise it; justice has already been done, vengence has been swift. we emplore the UR to cease fighting and withdraw for the sake of self interest if nothing else. We can agree to this; Free and fair elections in Kazakhstan have been long coming and the last elections held in 2004 were somewhat quationable in fairness; but we must stress that these new elections must adire to international standards and that the Incumbant should be allowed to run for re-election however we will propose international oversight so that neither side can be acused of rigging the election whatever the outcome.

Most Embasys are located in Embasy Square; the centre of our capital a mere 5 minutes walk from the Queens Residence and Council Buildings; the area is quite scenic and incudles a secured park in its centre where diplomates can meet our doors; the facility is fully furinished and accomodates for diplomatic staff, there familys and security personal; the facility is state of the art and comes with all the latest computing technolgy.
Although we had gathered this much already, your assurances are impeccable. Our thanks, and congratulations on resolving the Kazakh matter. Thanks to this, our government may now establish relations with the Russians in good conscience; since our view of their naked aggression, based on what seem to us trumped-up charges straight from Stalinist times, was dim in the extreme. But now that they are abiding by the agreement, we shall reward this, and would be willing to inquire what requirements for a deployment on our part your election monitoring mission may require.

We do appologise on behalf of her royal highness on the lateness of our reply to your initial enquiry but as you now know her attention was needed for urget matters of state in the Kazakh issue. as for the monitoring missing we would require 2000 peacekeepers from you to set up polling sations and counting facilitys to help ensure that the election is conducted in a fair manner that neither side can claim the result was rigged it is important that the election be transparent and adire to international standards or we fear war may return to the region.

Peace afterall is fraigle like glass; and must be held with the most delicate of hands or it will shatter and perhaps never return. your soldiers would be needed no longer than is required to hold the election and count the results. unless of course you wish to aid in the reconstruction effor but that is a matter you would need to take up with the new Kazakh Government
We would be honored to contribute. For combat capability or simple presence operations we can send one each of our Airborne, Signal, Engineer and Transport Battalions, plus an Armored Battalion of 30 Czechalrussian-designed T-7A light tanks to enable some serious combat presence in case of violations. This would take up our entire transport fleet (10 Il-76MF) for quite some time (easily six round-trips or more), but is doable nonetheless; and we shall order so at once if you deem it satisfactory. Is it so?

Yes, if you could send enough of those (20 should suffice) to handle our personnel, the Ilyushins could concentrate on hauling heavy equipment and supplies. Already they are gathering at bases near Manipulatia (former Manokwari) on New Guinea, said bases to be the central hubs for this deployment, while the selected units (all local) are to rendezvous for transport. From there, our mutual force can deploy through neutral East Asian airspace (hopefully you can secure permission for both of us, we being mere auxiliaries on what is your mission to command after all) and thence from yours to Kazakhstan without undue delay. The relevant orders to rendezvous are already issued, us needing only confirmation of East Asian permission to proceed.

Thank you for your reply, and we will at once create embassy space for your people in Holt Street, London, where we locate our embassies - a mere walking distance from various important government meeting places, a host of amenities, and two large conference halls. We will send Mr. Aidan Byrne, Ireland, plus ten close political aides, cleaning and cooking staff, and a small security force to New Delhi.

Should Silvado invade and trouble with China erupt, things could get very nasty. We are willing to assist you should anything happen, but there is a simple matter that must be attended to before that.

I believe you know of the Island called Diego Garcia, in the Indian Ocean. It's to the southwest of you. This island is in a very strategic position near the middle of the Indian Ocean. Here is the Dominion's suggestion. We coordinate an occupation of the Island and set-up a joint Naval and Air-Force base there. This will not only assist both of our nations, it will also improve our relations. We have asked a similiar request of the NAR, although without their military assistance.
