Barrett's Privateers

Blackhelm Confederacy

"God damn them all!
I was told we’d cruise the seas for Hurtian gold.
We’d fire no guns, shed no tears.
I’m a broken man on a Paradise Peer,
The last of Barrett’s Privateers.

Well, Elcid Barrett cried the town
For twenty brave men all fisherman who
Would make for him the "Antelope’s" crew

The "Antelopes" sloop was a sickening sight
"How I wish I was in Sherbrook now!"
She had a list to the port and her sails in rags
And the cook in the scuppers with the staggers and jags "

The song was sung by an old man, sitting on a pier on Paradise City. A boy approached him and asked what the song was about.

"Well my boy, why don't you just sit right here and I'll tell you a story of the Antelope. In 2007, the Antelope set sail, all ready to loot and pillage. It's first stop was supposed to be the waters outside of the People's Republic of Hurtful Thoughts. Well, thats what we thought...."

OOC - The song is a slightly changed version of Stanley Rogers song, Barretts Privateers. PROHT, I hope you don't mind.

OOC: Southern Ontario, town called Milton. I heard this from a buddy of mine who's last name was Barret, hence he loved the song. I loved it too, and then kinda forgot it but when I did basic training (reserves) we were on a ruck march, and one of my instructors started singing it. I think we were the only two to know it there, and I haven't found anyone else who knows it. Shame really...what song could possibly be better than one about Canadian pirates?!
