We wish to increase the maxium speed of the Su-17 to 2717 km/h (Mach 2.2). We will do anything to increase the speed of this aircraft. Take away weapons, re-shape the hull, re-fit the engines, change the engines. Everything in this aircraft must be changed, except their must be a ball turret for a camera to be placed.

Addressed most respectfully to The Dominion of Terre Nationale.
Having recieved the request for engineering aid in what appears to be a plan to make a reconnaissance version of the Su-17, The Holy Democracy of The Norlands declines to offer any. We conduct business with capitalist nations only in cases of catastrophe, where we have the opportunity to save lives, regardless of their political standing, or in situation where we might be allied against a common threat. This request appears not to be as a reaction to either of the above, and so we choose not to offer the minds of our engineers to the task you have laid before us. Should we have mistaken your position, and there truly is desperate need for such an aircraft, we would be glad to help, though our engineers do have domestic business to which to attend.
Sincerely, in The Policy of Love,

This aircraft is needed for goverment use. We do find that your goverment, itself, will not help us in our aeronotical needs, but is there some sort of private business that would help re-fit this aircraft. We can not disclose what this aircraft will be used for, though, we do allow you to come to your own conclusion, freely. Our nations needs to re-fit of this plane and will do whatever it takes to obtain said re-fit.

OOC: Its slow as it is, mach 2.2 would probably need a whole new airframe and engines, therefore it might as well be a completely new aircraft. (unless you attach rockets :P)

{OOC: ROCKET TIME!! :-) Why not just a new engine and some higher-quality material for the airframe?}

To;The Head of Military Forces of Terre Nationale
From:John Aschroft Calizoristan Aeronautics Company,
We have a solution, we offer to remove the Russian engines, and put a GE J-79 in it's place and remove the missile hardpoints, for 500,000 a plane
Sincerly,

Wouldn't this caused the weak airframe to break off in flight if it were put to true test at the speed of Mach 2.2?

OOC:With all due respect, I think RF-4C's would be perfect for what you are doing, IC:we happen to have some RF-4C surplus, if that's what you are looking for.

We will accept the RF-4C, and wish to procure five to ten of them.

We have shipped you 10 RF-4Cs, and we over-hauled all ten of them, we put in new avionics, new upgraded engines, and installed a bigger camera hole, if you need bigger cameras. They last came from a unit in March 163 TRG, so when they get there you'll need to re-paint the tail-flash, for it still say's California on the flash.

We thank you, how many hard points are there on this aircraft? And if there are none could we equip several hard point, if so, how many?

4 hard points, on the wing, can carry a 600 gal belly tank leaving the 4 other hard point free, I am asking a former pilot of one I RL, but I think that's how many. Thank you for your buisness.

Are you planning to replace all the Su-17s with the RF-4Cs? I am not asking what you are doing just wondering what you are doing with the Su-17s?

We are maintaing them. But their life expectancy is increasingly minimial.

Okay, the RF-4C's should be flying in shortly to you. They are better Recon planes then then the fitters I think.

We would purchase such a fine aircraft if you can obtain a maxium speed of more than Mach 2.1.

Terre,
We don't mind if you want the Tuk-17, but your RF-4Cs have just landed and would you mind flying our pilots back to San Diego, so they can go back to Miramar? Bascilly your RF-4Cs are ready
