Gery England, a Confederate First Sergeant in the 68th Georgian Regiment, sat at his table, smoking a rather large cigar. He looked around at his men, nine were left from the battle at Greenford County, Mississippi. He puffed a ball of smoke out of the side of his lip, it was a eerie in resemblance to the smoke emmitted from a discharged musket, his troops squinted at the sight of it.

Although First Sergeant England's squad had lost a number of men they were still pressed for duty. It was heard by a Confederate general that a Union force of ten thousand men was going to launch an assault on the large Alabamian city of Fanwood, where England's squad and regiment was stationed.

A young private came running threw the doors, attracting several pairs of eyes, one pair belonging to Sergeant England. The Private ran up to Second Lieutenant Sean Sharpe. The Private nodded as Sharpe dismissed him and turned to to face the entirety of the military personnel in the bar. "Men! Prepare your arms!" The whole of the 68th Georgian knew what that meant... battle.

Withen moments First Sergeant England had his troops at their barracks, (though, not so much of a barracks as it was a group of seventeen tents, and the Second Lieutenant's head quarters) and had his squad, the 2nd of 1st Platoon's two squads, ready with their British-made Enfield Model 1853 Rifle Muskets.

Their company commander road to their 'barracks' and saw 2nd Squad, 1st Platoon, ready and at attention before any one else in the whole regiment. "First Sergeant, take your squad and come with me!" Sergeant England ordered his men to march at a quick pace as they marched behind the captain.

The Captain had taken them to an abondonded house near a large road, "Alright, Sergeant. Your squad is to dig up trenches near that picket fence, and to find what ever wooden materials you can find in this house to help strenghten our position!" the Captain road off, leaving England's squad to do the work.

Withen fifteen minutes the trenches had been dug two meters, nearly half a hundred meters across the picket fence. England only ordered two of his men to get wooden goods to strenghten the picket fence, but even they kept up with the growing trench line.

In another fifteen minutes England's squad was helped by sixty-eight others, all from his company. Their work was done by night fall and every non-commisioned officer(NCO) and officer in the company was ordered inside the house to recieve their orders. "Look men." The company captain stated to his troops as he pointed to their position on a map. "The Yankees are trying to take this town, and they seem like they're ready to launch an attack on the flanks. Now, we're going to get re-inforced by some of the city's militia, but either way, expect to be staying here for a while boys." He continued his speach and briefing an hour later, dismission the entirety of the company's command structure.

If the weather here was like this year-round, the Confederacy could keep this godforsaken place, as far as Lieutenant-Colonel Timothy Caldwell was concerned. The sun beat down on him like hellfire, and the humidity made his dark blue uniform stick to him like glue. He balanced his carbine on his saddle and took a long drink of tepid water. A sergeant rode up to him. "Sir, scouts report that the Rebs are setting up fortifications around the town."

Caldwell nodded. "Very good. We'll outflank the fortifications and assault the town from the east. Notify the troops."

"Yes, sir," the NCO rode off to rely Caldwell's orders to the rest of the regiment.

First Sergeant England looked down the muzzle of his rifle, his prize of the war. It wasn't new, it wasn't clean, but it got the job done. His squad had gotten nervous, they heard a whole regiment of calvary was going to charge them, and if they fell, Fanwood might fall too. Just like Private Dixon said, "Fucking horses. Hate em' to death. Shit, I'll kill two of em' befo' I die." that was the promise England's squad made to him, they'd kill two before they'd die.

It was night by the time the Militia came, four hundred strong. The battalion commander, Major Wilkes, was a hard man, but everyone in the 68th Georgia knew that Militiamen ran in the first sight of those damn ugly horses. The Major spent the day setting up his troops, distrupting them threwout the line. England's squad had about a platoon on their asses. "Hey, you boys ever seen action?" England mused to the militia platoon.

The Second Lieutenant, and Irishman, replied. "No, but my boys are ready for some!" His whole platoon cheered, loud, damn Irish men didn't know what they were in for, or what England was about to do to them.

England slipped a sly look to his squad, "Then why don't you take our spots here, boyo?" He smiled at the Second Lieutenant. "You'll defiently see some action."

The Lieutenant smiled, "Well, i'd be happy to." He looked to his fellow boyos for apporval, they all yelled with enthusiasm. "Alright, lets switch!" The two units switched places. Fifty Irishmen where at the front, the nine Proffesionals were in the back. England actually thought the Irishmen would hold their own, they were, after all, Irish.

It was a small barn and a dusty one for that matter, but at least it gave some shade. A well along the backside of the barn allowed the men to gather up some water and allow the horses to drink. As the line for the well thinned, the men found their way under a tree or inside the barn to relax and escape the sun. It wasn’t long before the area began to smell foul. The men were clad in their wool uniforms and the sun only escalated their scent. Plus, the horses didn’t help clear the air. Nevertheless the soldiers didn’t mind, a little time out of the saddle in this weather was a godsend. The men were part of the 13th New York Cavalry Regiment and one of the first units to arrive around the city.

Derby sat up against the cool side of a large oak, his hat fell over his eyes. His nap however was short lived. His best friend within the unit, Maddox Nash, crashed his body next to Derby’s without regard for Derby’s tranquility. Derby woke up with a slight startle, annoyed by the cloud of dirt that arose with Nash’s collapse.

“What’s the word,” he said with a yawn.

“Same as it always is…we’re at war.”

Derby let out a small laugh, “you woke me up you bastard.”

“Oh but I have a surprise.”

“Aye? And what is that?”

“Well the boys decided to ‘liberate’ a contraband cow.”

“Aye…”

“Well I managed to save you a nice steak!”

“Ah, now there is some good news huh darling!?”

Derby opened up his mess kit and dug in. It was the first good meal he had had in weeks. He bit into the moist meet, the juices energizing him. He shoved it into his mouth with joyous vigor.

“So,” Maddox said.

“The taste of freedom.”

They both laughed but that too was cut short. A messenger galloped past undoubtedly with orders. Maddox was up and moving toward to the barn to hear the news. Derby quickly finished the last remains of his meal and hurried to catch up. The messenger stopped, dismounted, and found his way to Corporal Eugene. Eugene was eating his piece of the cow when the messenger walked into the barn.

“Corporal?!”

“Yes sergeant,” responded Elisha.

With that the messenger walked over to Elisha’s table and unfolded a map. The two men talked for a moment and finally after a couple of moments the messenger was away probably back to the Colonel’s headquarters. Meanwhile Elisha turned to the men and said, “Mount up. We’ve got our orders.”

It was the third day of their plantation, and it was still hell. The men had formed a fortified trench all around the mansion, the company and militia head quarters. Between the trenches and the mansion laid a hundred fifty tents, housing the enlisted men. Creature comforts would have been a godsend, but god had abonded First Sergeant England and the whole company.

One their third day they had recieved word that three of the five regiments had moved in, two of them 'green' calvary regiments. This was enough to scare the commander of the company ordered there to be a moat, twelve feet long, stakes in them. This would prevent the calvary from attacking their position effectively. But they were still under-manned, if the Federal calvary units dis mounted.

The third day was almost over, the moat complete, when First Sergeant England heard news that the full regiment would be supporting their position, eleven hundred veterans, fresh with another two companies of militia. There was deffiently enough room between the trenches and the mansion to accompany the new comers.

By dawn they arrived, filling the space between the trenches and the mansion, which obtained the name of Barracksville. England and his squad conversed in their new home, a large ten that was made from their three tents. Although, twelve accopied the tent, the alien three were the militia from the Irish platoon they had switch places with just the day before.

Today, the outpost now hosted a lively amount of men, twelve hundred Confederate troops and six hundred militiamen.

John Dominick looked around his encampment, and wondered why this war had ever been started, couldn't the Union have just accepted them and gone on, what compells me to fight? He wondered, and walked around his COlt 1860 in his holster, and carrying his Henry .44

He walked around, when he heard shots coming from the woods, and heard something whiz past him,. He sighed "Another Union ambush again, I am sick of these ambushes" He saw a Union infantryman firing at one of his friends in the trenches, so he raised his Henry and fired at the infantryman, who fell clutching his stomach, and died right there.

He heard no more shots, but looked down and saw his shoulder was bleeding from the brief ambush, he went into the medical tent and said to the Doctor "I have been shot, I wish your assistance in removing the bullet"

The Doctor nodded, and told John to lie down, and John did so, thinking "This will be a long war indeed" before he calmed himself for the operation.

"Dear, mother of god!" The Irish platoon leader yelled in the middle of the day, at eight-six degrees it was hot, many men saw mirage units come towards their position. It was a wolf called one too many times. Well... this was true until several more troops through out the line saw the enemy advancement also.

The regimental commander, Paul Henderson, road to the rear of the defences. "Men, fire at will!" The Colonel ordered as he saw the enemy too. They were three hundred paces away, and effective two hundred fifty meters. As the first Confederate rounds hit the enemy unit its numbers were massacured. It must not of been more than a company of infantry, they didn't even fire back.

The Irish platoon leader looked down to First Sergeant England. "We go the bastards." He laughed. The blood from his exploded head covered England's uniform and face. He was astonished at what to just happened. He had seen action before... but the man... the man was just talking to him a second ago.

"Men, keep up the fire!" Colonel Henderson ordered as he viewed the new enemy attack. He road back into the mansion seconds later, securing himself from Union musket fire.

The Irish platoon infront of England's squad was now leaderless... dis-heartened. "Look you boyo, bastards!" England began his speach. "Your commander would want you to kill those bastards for him! Let it be your testimony to him! He will not die in vain!" As he said these words bullets from the Union Springfield's ripped threw the platoon infront, the re-inforced picket fence saved many a life, but still seven men fell. The Irish platoon let out a roar of fire, falling eighteen Union troops.

The battle was now between a Union green regiment and a Confederate veteran regiment. As of now the Union attackers have lost a hundred and eighty men, sharply constrasted to the Confederate's forty-six man lose, most of which, miltiamen.

1 week after John had to have a bullet removed, he lead his divison on an advance against the Union, his supreme commander of this advance, was the famous "Stonewall" Jackson. For 2-3 days and nights they marched tirelessly across Virginian terrian, until on th 3rd night, a scout ran back to camp and cried "The Yankees are here, I have seen their army, but they haven't seen me, what do you want to do Stonewall?"

Stonewall Jackson considered the question and said "Order the 13th division to attack now, I know the head officer, he has the head for night attacks>"
The scout nodded and ran to John to tell him this. "Is he trucking crazy!, but if he insists I'll order the men to move out."

Thus began a battle that unknown to both sides, be an epic struggle.

Daniel Miller walked outside his tent in the Confederate camp. "Alright company, form up!"
The company quickly got into marching order.
"We got scout patrol today. You know what that means, private?"
"Yes sir, Captain! It means we walk a hell of a long ways!"
laughing breaks out, and Captain Miller smiles
"Good one, soldier. But what it really means is where out there on our own, and we gotta kill any yankee in sight! When you see em, give em the ol rebel yell! Company, move out!"

The company left the camp at full march. They entered the forest and spread out, forming a giant comb.

BLAM! A giant shell bursts near the advancing troops.
"Everybody get down!" yells Captain Miller.
He sees yankees pouring down the other side of the ravine.
"You see that stone wall there? Well, Get behind it!"
All 100 of his soldiers scramble behind the wall at the top of the ravine.
Miller grabbed a meek soldier and turned him towards camp.
"You run like hell and tell our boys to send some reinforcements ASAP! Tell em its 100 of us gainst maybe 300 of them!"
The man ran off. Miller turned back to his company.
"Alright boys, give em hell! FIRE!"

10 minutes later, Captain Miller realized no help was coming.
"They should be here by now damn it!"
He quickly assessed his losses- 8 dead and 4 injured. These were no ordinary soldiers, these were war tested veterans. It would be hard to replace them Meanwhile, the Union troops were having a tough go. Trying to scale a ravine with a shower of bullets raining down is not easy. So far roughly 45 had died, and about 30 more were injured. The wall was working. Suddenly, the attack slowed to a lull. Captain Miller thought to himself "Did we stop them? No those yankees are to damn persistant. They're up to something."
He caught a glimse of blue on his left.
"Men, wheel left! They're trying to flank us!"
He should have known. He knew that the yanks were hoping to catch him by complete suprise. They should know him better, he thought. "Alright men," he said, in almost a whisper "they wont suspect this so we are gonna make a counter-attack. Stay low and stay quiet, and when you get in firing range, or they see you, scream and give em bloody hell!"

As they marched towards the Union Army, John thought about his older brother William who had joined the Union Army, he hoped that William wasn't in the army that he was marching towards, he hated the idea of brother against brother, but sadly, he was woken out of it when he heard th horns of battle and the drummers. John said in a commandish voice "Charge the enemy, for the good of Virginia!, give them the Rebel Yell, and charge! And hope for victory!" He gave a loud Rebel Yell and charged his horse down the slope, unsheathing the saber from the sheath, and got it ready to strike.

He saw the first enemy, and slashed down killing the Union infantryman, and then he saw one on horse back charging at him, and as he passed he attemped to slash down on John, but John blocked it and passed stabbing the cavalryman and killing him. It was a wild pandimoum, with soldiers crying out in pain, and pistols shooting, and the scene was covered in powder, from all the rifles firing, John fired his Henry at another Union Infanry killing him, and soon they army fought their way through the main army to the camp, where there were a few still left, but they resisted and were killed. John jumped down, and lowered the Union Flag and raised the C.S.A flag, and cheered, as did the others.

It worked. The yankees were caught completely off guard. Within 4 minutes of fighting, the yankee line broke and the yankee moral perished with it. The rest was a simple mop up operation.
Afterwards, the confederate company returned to camp. 19 dead, 7 wounded. It was a bad day for the 2nd company, but Captain Miller had proven his excellence by guiding his unit through the thick of it and returning with it mostly intact. A little while later a telegram arrived for Captain Miller.
"Alright boys, were moving out. Looks like some of our boys need some help up near Fanwood. I want this camp broken down by nightfall. We will march all night!"
the company groans, but sets to work

The continuation of the battle led to more casuelties. Infront of England was the Irish militia platoon, at the begining of the fighting it stood at fifty, now merely eighteen were left. The crying of twenty-one men was heard in close proximity the ear's of England's squad... the cries of the Irish militia that were wounded.

"Move you Irish, bastards!" England yelled to the Irish in front, whom were all happy to be relieved of this hell. "Alright men, aim at the sergeants, not the officers. The brass dosn't help shit on the battle field!" With that the squad of ten let loose their volley, causing three Sergeants to fall and seven infantry to crumble.

"Fire at will!" England continued to scream as more and more bullets hit the picket fence infront of them. One of his men screamed, he was shot in the eye, he went limp several moments later. His veteran troops were not surpised by the death, they expect as much. "Alright, Irish! Help us out here!"

With that the survivors of the Irish platoon help them continue their barrage, the Union forces dropping like butterflies. "They're charging!" The Union's bayonets gleamed as they came crashing towards the Confederate fortifications. The Confederates readied their bayonets and fired off a volley.

The total casuelties:
829 Union
136 Confederate
467 Militia

On the way to Fanwood, the 2nd company under Captain Daniel Miller met up with the 4th Texas Artillery company. They both trudged onwards to relieve the confederate defenders who had been holed up for days. Finally, the mansion was in sight. Blue shirts were all around it, and smoke covered the battlefield like a mist. Captain Miller struck up a plan.

"Alright boys, those are our men in there, and they need our help. That mansion is impossible to get to though, and the yanks are gonna get more reinforcements fast. So here's the plan. See those bluffs off to the Southwest, behind the mansion? Thats where were moving. Once we're there, we're gonna set up defenses facing them yankees. Once night falls, we're gonna send word to our compadres in arms over there to fet back here. Once daybreaks, the mansion will be empty, and the yanks will be forced to attack our highly fortified position. They will not be able to use the mansion as their HQ though, because it is in the range of our artillery. Now lets get this plan moving."

They all mounted up, the sun beating as fierce as ever. They could already hear the sounds of battle rolling over the countryside. Still about two miles out it would only be a few minutes before they were within a mule’s kick of the town. They rode in column formation, two deep, creating a mask of dust behind them. The battle was in its early stages, not yet a large engagement. If all went well they would be able to cause enough havoc to Confederate lines to allow the main line of the Union assault take its course. Derby and Maddox rode next to each other near the rear of the line. Every step brought them closer to the battle and eventually the sights and sounds caught up with them. Shells shrieked overhead covering the fields with smoke.

The popping in the distance was getting louder and soon lead filled the air. Their route had taken them in the direct path of rebel reinforcements. Despite being outnumbered by the regular infantry the regiment had good ground. Elisha quickly rode backward giving the command, “Dismount!”

"They're on us!" England yelled as several Union troops managed to leap threw the spiked moat that the confederates had made. "Bayonets, ready!" England ordered to everyone around him. The surviving fourteen Irishmen had their bayonets ready and the seven surviving men in his squad formed up, their bayonets facing the enemy. "Men don't lose ground! Hold here till we all die!"

England mustered his twenty-one men in a circle formation, bayonets pointing out. It was effective as a platoon of Union troops met with them, bayonets facing them. England's men were able to stab twenty-six of the fourty men that attacker their position. Without notice, the remaining fourteen unloaded a volley of lead into their ranks, leaving only eleven, plus England. "Charge' em, men!" England ordered as he led them. He stabbed two men threw the gut and his men dispatched the rest.

First Sergeant England looked around at the battle. He saw the remained of the Union regiment, about a thousand men left, fighting the Confederate troops, proffessional and regional, about twelve hundred left. "Troops, fall back to the mansion!" His men were dis-heartned at the retreat, but followed orders.

As they entered the large house he had his men garrison the back door, incase of an enemy flank manuever. "Shit." England exclaimed as he saw the allied regiment follow behind them, but he also saw enemy calvary. "Troops! Fire at that god damned cavalry!" His men followed order and unleased a volley, nine shots.

"Yes, sir," the bugler replied before raising the instrument to his lips. A series of staccato notes rang out, and the cavalry formed itself into several neat lines. They advanced at a light trot towards the least fortified side of the village.

The men stood in aw as they watched the Colonel and his line of men advance towards dug in rebels while remaining on their horses. The Colonel had seen his share of combat, perhaps he finally broke? Disregarding the man’s foolishness Elisha kept his company on foot. The lines in front of Derby were thick with smoke, but not enough to suspect a large rebel unit in front of them. Pops and whips began to crackle all around them. Derby kept a steady demeanor as did Maddox next to him. The next sound was the thud, the sound a smoothbore makes when it finds flesh. The balls whacked into the men around them, the air ripped as lead flew past them. They were well within the rifles effective killing range. The field was obscure with smoke. Derby looked to his left and watched as the mounted cavalry were quickly downed by throngs of musket fire. Fools! He looked to his right and watched Maddox trudge on, a cold stare illuminating from his eyes. Elisha continued to push trying to clear the smoke. The fire intensified. The smoke had created a screen, covering the company in white. Elisha couldn’t hear any voices but he did hear the bugle and drums. Make Ready. Aim. Fire.

The attacking Union regiment began to retreat, well, it had more similiarity to a rout. Several Confederate troops were able to take pot shots at the routing enemy forces, downing several. The 68th was quickly reformed into battle lines and took back defensive positions, the surviving six hundred of them.

England himself ran downstairs to find his company commander, he was in for a bitter surpise. "D company!" A major yelled England's company. They formed up, England took the surviving Irishmen with him, three, adding to the five survivors from his squad. "First Sergeant England!" The same major yelled for him.

England quickly stepped towards him, saluting. "Yes, sir!" He put his saluting hand down and his seroius tone was in place. Not too gruff, not too heart warming, but all knew it was ment for business.

"As senoir surviving commander of your company you will be promoted to Captain." Captain England was over joyed, but then... he thought about it. How many have died to make me the senoir surviving member of his company. He looked towards D company, his company. Forty-three standing... "Your first order is to take your company up to the Bluffs and support a regiment there."

"Is it just D company, sir!" England questioned.

"No, you'll also be leading the surviving eighty-two militiamen."

(OOC: You'd probably have to fight the five hundred Confederates near the mansion OUTSIDE of town. PLUS there's about three thousand troops in the HEAVILY fortified town...)

Captain England saw the tabacco and placed some in his mouth. "This is some Virginian shit, eh?" He sucked a large portion of the juice, it tasted sweet after the hard battle. "Look, my men need a place to rest, we've been fighting for about an hour and more than half of the proffesional soldiers died. The militiamen that started out as six hundred are now just over fifty." His tone was seroius, he knew his men needed rest, even if Union cavalry was attacking the regiment right now.

"Lets get the boys by the mansion to pick up the Union springfields and augument them in your force. I believe you'd be the highest ranking, our Colonel probably died." He smiled... he'd probably get promoted to Major if the news was true.

Mcflower ate his supper outside with the men.He knew he must attack the mansion which was outside town but his men were to tired to do it.He was going to write to President Lincoln to provide more supplies and men down here.He ordered the main front of his 100 men to patrol the house while the others came inside to rest.He wanted to attack the confederates now but his soldiers were just to tired and many didn't even want to fight.Mcflower went on the floor and started to sleep.Tomorrow he would order the attack.

OOC:Um, no I was reply to Kamper asking if John was in Fanwood, and I said yes, enough OOC onto the IC

IC:
It seemed all was tranquil while John was in the trenches guarding the camp, though he knew better then to think that, suddenly a mortar landed 12 feet away and he was thrown back on the other side of the trench, he got up grabbed his Henry and awaited the Union Army coming, he roared in command "FIRE YOUR CANNONS AT WILL, FIRE YOUR MORTARS, DO THIS AS MANY TIMES AS YOU CAN BEFORE THE UNION GETS HERE!" And so the cannoneers and the mortar troops set to work rapidly as they could firing and loading, firing and loading, and a scout ran up to John and said "Why sir, how briliant a plan you had, you wiped out half the Union, shall we advance while they are down?" John considered and smiled "Heck ya, why not, Let's show 'em the might of the south!" Let's advance on them!

"I'll set to work. But theres no way in hell I'm retreating. We're fortified solid here, and if the lines buckle, then we are going back to the forest south of Fanwood. From there, we can launch a massive counter-attack on the Union Flank. And since I'm the commanding officer here, I'm sending a small task force of your men to the small city of Birchtown, bout 15 miles from here. We have two artillery companies and 4 Virginian Companies camped there. They repeled a small Union attack there a few days ago and have just been sitting around ever since. They can come up here. I'll put those 2 companies from Texas in the Mansion, and the Virginains can help out up here.

John got up onto his horse, and unsheathed his saber, and yelled "FOR THE GLORY OF THE SOUTH!, FOR VIRGINA, YAHHHHHHHH!" He and the divison charged ahead, the Union Army was caught off-guard so badly, before they could respond, John and the troops were on them, A Union soldier on horse back attemped to shoot his pistol but John, decapatited him, and then he slashed at a Union infantry man and killed him while the yankee was attemping to shoot John's horse from under him. There was smoke, and noise and confusion, and John pulled out his pistol and started shooting as he dismounted, he holstered it after he ran out, and then he pulled out his Henry and raised to his shoulder and fired at some infantry attempting to load their muskets, dropping all 5, and then before he knew what was happening, his troops charged the remainder, and John followed, and they captured 25 POWs,Killed 1,000 Union, but lost only 150 Confederetes, and 350 Confeds wounded.

Captain Gerry England looked at him icely. "My men can barely walk, if you even took a second of looking at them you would see more than half of them are puking from Adrenline crash." He opened the commander tent and exposed Colonel Millers (Is that you?) to his puking men, all of them tried to regain their formation for the officers, but could barely move. "At ease" England ordered, the men fell to the ground once again. "They will not march, they can not march." Millers would have to kill him to get his troops to move.

England smiled, "Why do you think less then half of us survived when we weren't even out numbered that badly?" He held his rifle. "They tricked us... those bastards." He remember the intelligent Federal plan. "They had a company of their men, fodder, move up on us, the whole line fired round after round into them, i'm pretty sure we killed the entire company." He reminised the sweet success, "Then they charged, less then a hundred paces away, our own god damn smoke got in the way." ooc: he doesn't lead a regiment, just a company. a small part of a regiment. The artillery is only there cuz they met up on the way.

"Yeah, heres some. When everybody gets to these bluffs, it'll be one hell of a defensive position. Then were gonna have one hell of a battle when those yanks attack. I'm devising a plan for that, including a genius counter-attack. I'm gonna have one company over there, you see. points off into the forest. When the yanks attack, we will repel the initial few. But their massive charge will break us if we dont have help. Thats where they come in. They will attack the rear of the attacking yanks, causing mass chaos and confusion in their ranks. Then we leap over the wall, and they go into a full out retreat."

Then, since we have no way of knowing if this happens, we'll leap over the wall ignorantly and face a re-newed attack by the Federals forces." He took the map and began drawing lines, the exits would be difficult and few, he had to make sure the lines were secure as to not attract enemy attention. He drew up the plans and handed it to one of the Colonel's subordinances.

England exited the command post and walked to his men, seeing them fit and ready. He soon question them on their quality as of this moment. "Militiamen, we need you to join the Confederate army." The militiamen wanted revenge, they became... soldiers. He then turned to the hole company, which was surrounded by vomit, "Are you men ready to fight again?" They all raised their Enfields and yelled with a yes and hell yea and why the fuck nots? This made Captain Gerry England happy, very, very happy.

Minutes later the former Major approached England. "Hey, England!" The major yelled to him.

England was stunned by his informarlity. "Hello, sir!" England said as he raised his hand in a salute.

The Major laughed, "Put it down, major." The former major saw the stunned expression on England's face and continued, "Yup, you're Major now. I've gotten promoted to Liuetenant Colonel. Yea, our Colonel died in the clash. Too bad, he was a good man. Anyways, you're now taking the 102nd Georgian Battalion, that included your company." He smiled and walked off. Two promotions in a day, England thought, this was wasn't so bad after all. He smiled and returned back, finding the survivors of his battalion.

He was able to find three hundred eighteen survivors and form them into three companies, a hundred sixteen each, and marched them in on a single four-man-long line. Their guns were all springfield, which gave them superior range.
