Introduction:

The Clandonian East India Company was founded in 1797 in the Clandonian Virgin Island colonies, instated by the Crown of King William II on the Royal Charter of supplying the colonies with materials to help Clandonian colonial advancement. The company was allowed unrestricted trade between Clandonia and its colonial dependencies, its powers extended to supply high demand products such as tea, opium, rum, tobacco and to combat piracy against Clandonian merchant shipping. The company has kept the Clandonian Empire and homeland supplied with goods and supporting laissez faire economics in line with classical liberal beliefs.

The company was dissolved by President Urkov and replaced by a state regulation authority. The company was re founded in 1987 in the Clandonian Virgin Islands to supply the islands tobacco industry to cope with the demand for tobacco related products in Clandonia. The company undertook plans to mine uranium ore in the island colony and to explore potential oil and gas fields of the Clandonian coastline. The companies combined investment in New Clandonia is estimated to account for $12.8 Trillion NSD, a significant percentage of the Clandonian GDP.

The company today is a joint stock company owned by numerous Clandonian investors, its aims are to encourage trade between Clandonian and Praetonian crown territories. The company seeks new trade links particularly in the areas of the nuclear industry, oil and gas exploration, petrochemicals, precious metals, mining, financial services, air and space defence, ship building, heavy nautical engineering and telecommunications just a fraction of its interests.

The company is registered on the Clandonian stock market the Clandex 100 and its headquarters are located in St James Square, Warminster, Clandonia.

The CEIC has received virtually identical letters from the Grey, Yellow, Brown and Blue Alliances of the Flarg (IE, Goblin tribes)
They generally run thus:

The (color) Alliance would be pleased to host your fine company within our territory, as such, we have little industry, but the (alliance) region is pretty much packed with raw resources which you would be free to exploit, not to mention tons of cheap labor, provided you dont mind a good portion of your workforce taking a break once a month to go and try to kill the bastards from (the other alliances), its a sort of sport around here. Like soccer.
Our only condition is that you dont make the same deal with those (other alliance) bastards, 'cause then we'd have issues.

The Company would be happy to initiate operations in the various tribes of the Colour Alliance. The Company welcomes cheap labour and natural resource extraction opportunities. Our scientists would like to enquire about the types of resources that are present in your areas so we can send advance crews to source the quality and type. We will also be sending structural and civil engineers to access the transport infrastructure if coasts, roads and airstrips so plans can be drawn up for optimal export routes.

If you have trouble with other tribes then the Company and the Imperial Crown Kingdom of Clandonia may be able to grant military equipment export licenses or provide a small defence contingent to protect Clandonian economic interests.
