Tonights main headline: Tensions rise in the Protectorate of Stevens Bay

Only two days after the coalition party's victory over the national Conservative party in the Stevens Bay parlimentary elections, the leaderships of the Ossian and Jordini Muslim section of the coalition party have announced that they will shortly be holding regional referendums, with a view of gaining independence from Stevens Bay.

During the run up to the elections four ethnic political parties joined forces to overcome the National Conservative Party, in the victorius coalition party was the Ossian Party, led by Fredericco Franchisco, the Jordini Muslim party, led by Mohammed Al-Ossri, the Fellini party, led by Viktor Fatas-Selenza and the Stevinian Curts led by Quintus Nicomedus.

Mr Fatas-Selenza told reporters that he is outraged at the Ossian and Jordini back stabbing tactics. "The behaviour shown by the Ossians and Jordini's is disgusting, we have led a joint campaign to win the elections and now they say they want independence. I say now, Stevens Bay will never be split, I can assure you that."

Tension in the country has begun to slowly rise over the independance debate and riot police were called into a division 3 football match between St Rohans FC, an Ossian club and Lonsdale Rovers, a Fellini club.

More worringly, a senior politician from the Jordini Muslim section, Atta Sishawi, had his house set on fire by a group of whom police believe to be far-right wing Fellini's.

At 2136 tonight an explosion rocked a Fellini run nightclub, in Yiani, Stevens Bay. The death toll is said to be at 34 with a further 63 people injured. Police are revealing little information on the incident but have said that the bombing is suspected to be an IED package.

No groups have admitted responsibilty for the bombing. President Viktor Fatas-Selenza is also yet to comment on the matter but Fellini government officials seem to suspect that those responsible are possibley from right-wing extremist Ossian or Jordini groups.

200 Jordini Muslims have been today rounded up by police and detained in Gobey Heights, Stevens Bay. Officials have stated that this is as a result of yesterdays bombing and that police are looking into links that the detainees may have had with the bombing.

Senator Mohammed Al-Ossri has reacted angrily to the news. "This is discrimination! The 'Fellini' police have no right to detain these people and the accusations that have been made are ridiculous. How on earth can they say that they are looking into possible links with yesterdays bombing and arrest 200 people? It's disgusting, heavy handed racist behaviour!"

Al-Ossri further stated that he would be appealing to the Union of Saint Holden to intervene.

A police spokesmen for Gobey Heights police department, which is predominatley a Fellini area stated that a Jordini extremist group is suspected of being behind the bombing that killed 63 people at Sparkles night club in.

Ugly scenes of clashes between angry Jordini Muslims and police have spread across many Fellini cities in Stevens Bay. The worst hit areas for the rioting is said to be in Gobey Heights and Coxeter. The rioting is said to be as a result of the 200 arrests of Jordini Muslims by police in the Gobey Heights area earlier today.

One Jordini male who was caught up in the trouble spoke to one of our news teams just 10 minutes ago. For fear of police action the male does not wish to be named. "I felt compelled to join a protest that was taking place in down town Gobey. All Jordini's have been shocked at the arrests of 200 Jordini's. Our community in Gobey Heights is small and everyone knows a friend of a friend or relative who is amongst the 200 prisoners. During the protest abuse was hurled at us by groups of racist Fellini's and then trouble broke out. I noticed bottles and bricks and stuff were being thrown at us. I noticed a women standing next to me collapse and I noticed she had been hit by a brick and was bleeding heavily from the head. I tried to help the women and then noticed police had arrived on mass. I felt relieved but to my horror the police attacked us. Before I knew it I was getting beaten by officers with battons. But I was still concerned about the women. Then two police officers pushed me away from the women and proceeded to hit her as well. When I tried to protect her I was badly beaten. I managed to get away, but I've heard that many Jordini's have been arrested and many more badly hurt."

We have heard that fighting throughout many cities has taken place and in one incident in Lawtoncliffe police were shot at. An emrgency goverment meeting has been called and the president is due to meet with senators any time now.

It has emerged that the emergency cabinet meeting saw talks break down and the meeting cancelled. An insider stated that Jordini politicans argued furiously with Fellini politicans and a full scale slanging match erupted. President Fatas-Selenza, of Fellini ethnicity slated senator Al-Ossri and accused him of being unable to control his party, let alone his people. Al-Ossri hit back at the President stating that he was slowly becoming a dictator and was activly targeting Jordini Muslims for no reason.

At one point, one Jordini senator was ejected from the senate hall after throwing a punch at a Fellini senator and a short while later the meeting was cancelled due to the arguing. This break down in the government could lead to bigger problems in Stevens Bay and a number of senators have expressed there concern at the current situation of affairs.

News is coming in that Fellini-government led soldiers and tanks have taken to the streets in many of the north-eastern cities, where Jordini Muslims are being rounded up and taken to holding centres. Many Jordini's are said to have fled the areas concerned for Jordini cities in the south of Stevens Bay or St James to the east.

Further news has also come to light that Fellini soldiers attempted to arrest Jordini senator, Mohammed Al-Ossri. A gun fight between Al-Ossri's personal bodyguard and the Fellini soldiers took place and the senator managed to escape unharmed.

President Viktor Fatas-Selenza has said that he has ordered the actions in the name of national security and that the army will be deployed in civillian areas until the areas are made safe.

Senator Fredericco Franchisco, head of the Ossian minority in Stevens Bay has condemned the Fellini actions. "What is happening in the north-east of our country is a sad state of ethnic problems in Stevens Bay. We urge the President to cease the rounding up of innocent Jordini citizens. We prey that these scenes do not lead to a full scale civil war."

President De Molay of St Samuel has also condemned the actions of President Fatas-Selenza and has urged all parties involved to take part in talks hosted by the Union of Saint Holden.

A further update has come to the news desk since the news that Fellini troops had taken to the streets. Jordini soldiers have been fighting with Fellini troops in the city of Hal Armain, east Stevens Bay. This appears to be as a result of the illegal detainment of Jordini citizens in ethnic-Fellini strong hold cities.

It would appear that the attack on Fellini troops was a statement attack and the Jordini troops left Hal Armain as quickly as they arrived.

In retaliation to this Fellini forces fired 12 Shahab missiles into the city of Nubarium, a small town in Jordini controlled area. Jordini officials have said that amongst the dead are 31 civillians and around 50 civillian casualties.
One thing is for sure, a full scale civil war is quickly approaching.

Fighting between Fellini and Jordini forces continues and it has been reported that over 5,000 civillians have died since the war began. In a dramatic turn of events President Marcus Lori-Nianna of Fort Curtis, northern neighbour of Stevens Bay, has moved ground forces into Northern Stevens Bay, where there his a high population of Stevinian Curts. President Lori-Nianna has said that his forces are in position to defend the Curt's that live in the north and is not an occupation force. The suprise move by Fort Curtis troops is a set-back for the Union of Saint Holden, who decided at the latest regional conference that they would work in unison.

President Viktor Fatas-Selenza has reacted angrily to the move made by Fort Curtis and has said that it is an act of war.

Meanwhile, Fredericco Franchisco, head of the Ossian minority in Stevens Bay has declared his support for Jordini and has all but bought a third party into the war.

Reports are coming out of Stevens Bay of terrible war crimes and attrocities being committed by Fellini soldiers. One Jordini Muslim refugee told reporters that he only just managed to escape from his village, but had to leave his family behind. He said that the village people were held captive for 5 days and had to endure regular beatings. He said that all the women in the village were raped and abused by the soldiers and that he witnessed a soldier beat his 4 year old son to death.

Other terrible stories are also making headlines. In one incident Fellini troops blew up a Jordini childrens hospital killing around 50 children. In another incident Fellini soldiers set a mosque on fire with over 100 people inside it.

Head of the Jordini Muslims in Stevens Bay, Senator Mohammed Al-Ossri has called for the Union of St Samuel to take action against the Fellini forces.

The main headline tonight, the Curtish city of Zabrinksi and the city of Ossia have endured a night of bombing. At 0130 hours the Fellini airforce launched an air campaign on the city of Zabrinski causing an unknown number of deaths and casualties. A simoultaneous attack on the city of Ossia took place at the same time. The two bombing campaigns lasted 10 hours and people finally came out of hiding at around 1130 to find mass death and destruction.

The attack on the Curtish city of Zabrinski, located in northern Stevens Bay is said to be a retaliation against troops from Fort Curtis occupying the area. Meanwhile the city of Ossia, inhabited mainly by ethnic Ossian's suffered the same attacks and is the first attack of it's kind against Ossian's by the Fellini forces.

President De Molay of St Samuel has said that this is the last straw and that a combined force under the flag of the Union would be deploying in Stevens Bay

Meanwhile Fellini forces are beggining to over run Jordini forces in the south of the country. Our correspondants based in Oppia have reported that missiles have been used on the city throughout day and night and the hospitals are unable to cope with the amount of casualties.
